Day 17 "Strangest thing I ever heard"
Andy makes Sharon's heart skip a bit
You take my breath away
They were lying down on the sofa, kissing and exploring each other. Oh it had been so long, too long since the last time they enjoyed each other. Was there anything that Sharon loved more than feeling Andy's body on top of hers? She doubted it. It felt so good, so right to be with him like that. The doc had forbidden any bedroom activities for now but 1) they were not in the bedroom 2) they were both still fully clothed and with Rusty risking coming home any minute it would not change.
She sighed as he drew a path of kisses down her jaw to her neck. She ran her fingers through his silky hair and lost herself in them. Just at the moment where he found her mouth for another long deep kiss, she felt her heart jump in her chest. Oh she loved that sensation. It felt even better than the early butterflies. Her heart was literally doing somersaults. That's how much she loved him. She caught his face between both her hands, looking him right in the eyes before expressing how much she loved him. Instead of replying, he opted for showing her how much he reciprocated the sentiment. Even better.
They were once more deeply caught within each other when something buzzed. Sharon did not even notice it. That's what 4 weeks off the job do to a captain. But her lieutenant… he did not forget about the possibility of being called at any moment. He ran his hand down Sharon back and just before reaching her bum, he felt it. She grunted her disappointment but let him pull the phone out from in between the pillow. He did not waste a second and answered it, hovering over Sharon.
«Flynn.» He said, somewhat irritated. He listened to his interlocutor while his wife kept on peppering his neck with kisses, making him smile. «Oh hi doc, yes sure, she's right here.»
She stopped kissing right away, surprised. She brought the phone to her ear. «Hello?»
Andy moved out of her body and helped her get in a seating position. «No, no, I'm okay.» she answered, worried about his questioning. She did not even noticed how breathless she was. She was most of the time these days and being with Andy always took her breath away. «I'm not running. Of course not, doctor… what I was doing?» she repeated his question, blushing furiously. «mmmhh, mmhh I ..» she stumbled on the words, incapable of wording an answer.
Andy just laughed and took the phone from her hands. He activated the speaker before answering. «We were making out, Doc. Is there a problem?» She didn't know it was possible, but she felt her cheeks burn even more. Damn it and damn that man, both of them in fact.
They both listened attentively as he explained what happened. Turned out that Andy was really making her heart skip a bit, quite literally. She found it very poetic and smiled even though the situation was anything but good. Andy put down the phone, flabbergasted, and just said : "strangest thing I've ever heard" before dissolving in laughter.
