They went inside the iron fortress, it was filled with twisted machinery and had the marks of Khorne and robotnik all over the place
"I know this enemy from before"
"What? The iron warriors?" Alex said, confused
"No, robotnik, he was my archenemy in the distant past, since i don't hail from this era"
"I see..."
They kept goint, encountering mechanized daemons from time to time, until tails heard the voice of Sage
"I'm sorry i never told you the truth, i was planted here by Malice as a spy to decieve Robotnik"
"What?"
"it's true, find me in the central computer chamber, but beware, it's heavily guarded" Sage said
"Alright then"
"To whom do you speak!"
"Sage, she's communicating to me telepathically"
"Be careful, it could be a trap!" Kit cautioned
"If Malice was the one who planted her here, it can't be a trap"
"What!? She told you our god kitsune placed her here for some reason?"
"I don't know the full truth yet, but let's keep moving"
They kept on going deeper into the facility of chaos, they then saw the cultist marks of chaos, he tainted symbol of chaos undivided
"Who are the Iron warrior's exactly?" Tails asked Alex
"The Iron warriors where once servants of the emperor, masters of breaking sieges and similar to the Iron hands since they use a lot of implants, but now they serve the foul gods of chaos, along with their tainted daemon prince Primarch, Perturabo"
"What about the world eaters then"
"Those filth! They where once a tactical astartes chapter of Honour, but they became tainted monsters of Khorne and scattered across the eye of terror along with their blood gorging daemon prince Angron"
"But i gotta give it, while they are heretical traitors they are indeed skilled at causing destruction, thousand sons with their deception, world eaters with their melee prowess, Iron warriors with their implants, and so on" Tails said
"I see..."
Then they spotted Iron warriors in the corridors, they fired upon them and killed them quickly
Afterwards they went on, continuing their search for sage and the core of the facility to blow it up once Sage was rescued, but then he spotted something strange, a Necron unit
"What is that!" Kit said surprised by the Necron unit, who was about to open fire but it was then shot to death by Tails's Bolter
"A Necron, mechanical horrors from tomb worlds"
"Never seen them before, but what are they doing here?"
"I do not know, but i don't know what it was doing here"
"Those mechanical abominations are a plague upon the galaxy!" Alex said
"Agreed, let's purge them" Tails said as he spotted more, they must have been stationed as a last defence against an incursion, but how where they here?
Tails fired at them, taking them out one by one, these mechanical horrors do not belong here, that was the strangest things about them, did Robotnik do something to them to make them serve the foul doctor?
Nevertheless, he kept taking them out until he encountered a destroyer lord, which didn't take much damage from Tails's bolter, it fired upon them but Alex shielded them as he fired his multi-melta at it, but it didn't do much damage, he then manifested a hammer of the forge and crushed the foul machine, he then crushed it's skull with his foot
They kept on fighting off the Necron, until they reached a door of some form guarded by an overlord and it's minions, which engaged them in combat, Kit fired his Plasma gun at the Necron overlord and it's minions, it took some hits and then Kit summoned forth a maelstrom and trapped the overlord and it's minions in it and then crushed it by imploding the maelstrom
"I'll open the door but beware, an adversary awaits inside" Sage said to Tails as the door opened up
"I am going in alone, stand by and hold off any Necrons that might come" Tails said as he went through the foor
"Yes, sir"
"Be careful Tails!" Kit cautioned as they stood and kept watch for any Necrons
He was inside a chamber of some form, which had red lights all over it, as he got to the top of it, it shocked him what he had found, it was a kitsune of some form, trapped in a laser cage
"Hello, Malex"
"Sage, who are you exactly?"
"I am the daughter of Malice" This shocked Tails, he couldn't believe he had been assigned to save the god kitsune's daughter
"But why did you plant yourself in Robotnik's systems?"
"I was only a backup AI, since i am half machine and half kitsune, but you must free me"
"Alright..." He tried to use the console, only to hear metallic rumbling, he then turned around and saw something sinister, it was Mecha sonic, now tainted by the warp and turned into a Helbrute
"Mecha sonic!" Tails said as he fired his bolter at it, only to have little effect on the mechanical beast
"You must hurry before Robotnik finds out what your up to" Sage said
Tails couldn't talk right now, he was fighting the Helbrute and then it whipled it's tentacles at Tails, but he summoned forth a katana to parry it and cut them off
The Helbrute then fired it's weapon upon tails, but he had the upper hand, he fired his volkite Caliver at it, causing damage to it's fleshy parts, enraging the beast machine
He kept on fighting the Helbrute that was Mecha sonic and Tails eventually then ripped it's head off and then crushed it beneath his boot, permanently destroying mecha sonic for good
"Good ridance"
"Now, free me!"
He deactivated the forcefield around Sage and she and Tails ran out of the room
Alex was finishing off a Necron with his boot as he spotted Tails and what he thinks is this Sage he was talking about
"This is Sage i presume?"
"Yes, she's the daughter of our god kitsune" he said, shocking Alex and Kit
"What?! We where rescuing the child of the god kitsune?!"
"Yes... but we can talk about it later, right now we need to find the reactor and blow it up"
"I can lead you to it" Sage said as they advanced towards the reactor room
They eventually reached it, it was a Volkite reactor, already infested with rots of the tree, and Tails then reached the cogitator, Sage then connected to the system and overloaded the reactor, causing it to go critical
"We have to go, now!"
"I can teleport us out" Sage said as she teleported them onto the Kitsunian battle barge as the Volkite reactor went into meltdown and exploded, taking the iron fortress with it, the kitsune had already left and the cherry blossom had devoured most of the base
Tails, Alex and Kit arrived at the battle barge with Sage, who was recognized by a lot of Kitsune when they saw her
"It's the daughter of the god kitsune! Praise her!" One of them said, as they all bowed before her
Tails and Sage walked by the kitsune who bowed, they where most likely shocked and surprised to know what the daughter of Malice was doing here
They got to the strategium, where Merlius was waiting for them
"What was the daughter of the god kitsune doing on the iron fortress!" He asked while confused at what he was seeing
"Malice planted her there for spying on the foul doctor"
"Why exactly?"
"Do not question his will, he probably did it with a good reason, i know his plans"
"Tell us then..."
"Right" she then connected to the tactical display, showing a massive orb fortress known as the death egg 4.0
"This is the death egg 4.0, it's his latest creation, he's planning to target Mars with it"
"The home of the mechanicus?! Why?"
"We do not know right now, i never got enough info to learn his motive behind it"
"I see, well we are returning to our Fortress monastery right now, the hideout is gone as well, we transferred Cosmo to it as well"
"Thank you, my lord" Tails said as they waited to arrive at the fortress monastery of the kitsune
"Tails, the Ultramarines on the iron fortress, Lord Calgar is awaiting you on the fortress monastery"
"Huh- oh no..."
"Yes, he wants to discuss with you about some things like your sudden leaving of Ultramars"
"Alright..."
They eventually arrived at the fortress monastery of The Nine Tailed, and Tails was ready to have a meeting with Calgar
