Tails was ready to meet with Lord Calgar, but he had Merlius, Alex and Kit by his side if it went bad, he went inside the room with them and there Lord Calgar and Acheran was waiting for them
"Malex Prawix, you have some explaning to do"
"I... i will explain" he said as he took a seat at the table
"Then explain, why did you-" Acheran was cut off by the chapter master
"Silence! The captain of sons of Malice will speak!" Lord Calgar said with a hint of anger
Tails then spoke "I can explain, first, i was already made a captain of the first company of the Nine Tailed astartes chapter at the order lf my uncle, Merlius Prawix, second, I had personal reasons why i left the Ultramarines so adruptly, one is that my... girlfriend was on Avarax and refused to take me there, last, Kitsune can wield the warp without risking turning to heresy, since we wield our powers from a different part of the immaterium"
There was then some silence as Calgar processed the information he had been given, then he spoke "First, your allowed to continue serving with the Nine Tailed, second, your... girlfriend is apparently another race of unknown xenos, third... why do your kind wield the warp in the first place" Calgar questioned the Kitsune
"I... i do not know, you'd have to ask our god Kitsune for that answer"
"The foul gods bring nothing but lies!" Acheran said angrily
"ENOUGH!" He said to silence the captain
"So you think i am like the other gods, well, your wrong in that, those other gods are my enemies, for they cause nothing but destruction" Malice whispered throughout their minds
"Huh?!"
The grey fox with strange eyes then manifested, revealing that he was listening in on the conversation
"My kind has wielded the warp since ancient times, but one day the god Tzeentch attacked and since then, I have sworn revenge on the foul god, he destroyed our homeworld"
"Perhaps your powers drew in the gods in the first place?"
"No, we draw it from a different source, but they found us either way, and then the council at the time betrayed my people and killed my father, so i killed then out of revenge and took their powers to put the chaos gods to sleep"
"What!?"
"I wasn't born from the immaterium, I am still of Kitsune blood"
"I see..." Then there was silence in the room until Calgar spoke again
"Your free to go Malex, but do not interfere with any of our operations"
"I understand" he said as he left the room
That conversation was a bit cold, he didn't want to talk to them right now, especially not the captain
He wandered the monastery and eventually reached Cosmo's room, he was ready to once again talk to her
"Cosmo?" He said as he opened the door to her room, she was at a terminal looking information, and she had a strange look on her face, she almost looked horrifed by some discoveries she might have made
"Tails... why do you serve the imperium?"
"Because i want to protect people from harm"
"Then why does the Imperium do such cruel things then! Like for example i found out they do something called exterminatus that sacrifices whole planets!" Tails didn't know this, no one had told him, but he understood, sometimes you have to sacrifice things to save the nearby worlds
"Sometimes you have to sacrifice things, even a whole planet to save the neighboring ones" He tried reasoning with Cosmo, but it didn't seem to work
"Then why does the imperium have so many enemies then?!"
"Because of the chaos gods and the hostile xenos, they want to hurt or devour us, so we have no choice but to kill them"
"I... i do not understand"
Tails then comforted Cosmo with a hug, warming her up, she hugged back with tears in her eyes, then he eventually let go
"Do you want to come to the celebration"
"Y-yes? Wait, what celebration?" She asked, confused
"We took out the Iron fortress of Robotnik, he won't be able to hurt Avarax anymore"
"Thank you Tails, you where always a caring person"
"I know, but let's go to the celebration, right?" He said as he stood up with Cosmo and went to the grand hall, where the kitsube celebrated their first victory over the Iron warriors and Robotnik
There was cheering and chattering in the grand hall of the nine tailed, it may be brief but at least they could have some fun before the next battle
Cosmo and Tails wandered in the Hall, a bit, until they encountered Fionaria and Cream
"Fionaria? Cream?"
"Aww, if it isn't the Yellow two tail and his girlfriend" this made Cosmo and Tails blush a bit
"Hey! Don't say such embarrassing things!" Cream said to Fionaria
"But why not, they look so cute together"
"Hey can you not" Tails said, with Cosmo covering her red face
"Okay okay i will stop, anyways, did the mission go well" she asked
"Yes, we destroyed the iron fortress and a large number of world eaters and iron warriors"
"I've heard you survived an encounter with the Doctors bloodthrister"
"You heard?"
"Yes, the word is spreading itself like the wind"
"Alright but, i have to see the others now, see you later Fionaria and cream" He said as he went to see Blaze with some of the Nekomata
"Blaze!"
"Tails, so this is Cosmo am i right?"
"Yes... i am the last seedrian" she said sheepishly
"I am Blaze, a pyromantic Psyker, now i have joined the Nekomata forge and i am now creating weapons for you to use on the field of battle"
"What? Didn't think you'd join the Nekomata"
"They are former cat mobians transformed into Yokai, it turns out i am one of them"
"So your a daemon..."
"Don't call me that" She said with a hint of anger
"Is Yokai better?" Tails said carefully
"Yes, much better, anyways you can come by the forge sometimes to upgrade your weaponry, but i will join the battle sometimes"
"Alright then" he said as he went over to Kit and Alex
Cosmo was frightened by Alex's size and his armor, but then Tails spoke "Don't worry, he might look scary but he has a heart of gold when it comes to his squadmates"
"Indeed, i am Alex, normally i am part of the terminator squads but i have been placed with Malex's squad"
"and i am Kit! I am the first one Tails saw when he arrived here"
"I see, nice to meet you all, i am Tails's girlfriend"
"Wow! Didn't think you had one"
Tails the spotted Merlius and Sage speaking with eachother, he wanted to go over to them
"I... have to see Sage" he said as he went over to her
"Okay!"
He went over to Eight tailed kitsune known as Sage, since he wanted to ask her a few things

"Malex Prawix and Cosmo"
"how do you know our names?"
"Malex was the one who recused me, and i happen to be the daughter of Malice"
"What?!" Cosmo said shocked
"It's true, but i wasn't captured, Malice planted me to spy on the foul doctor, then had Malex rescue me on the Iron fortress"
"I see..." Tails then turned over to his uncle
"Uncle, what's our next move?"
"We're heading to the rock, the home of the dark angels chapter"
"The dark angels? Why?"
"They are mobilizing for a battle against another iron fortress, which is approaching them via the warp"
"Alright then"
"Meet me on the bridge"
"Yes, my lord"
And so the celebration went on, until it was done
