Hello. After some debate on my end I have decided to scrap the other stories until further notice. I will rewrite some of them while others will be gone for good. I hope you understand but not all is lost. I have an idea for multiple stories based around my DND character for a campaign my friend is DMing. If any of you know about DND then you will probably be a bit excited. Now to tell you a bit about her.
Name: Faebith
Race: Orthean/Dragonborn (Black Dragon)
Class: Soothsayer/Witch Doctor
So there's a bit about her but you maybe wondering why this race and Classes seem made up. Truth is it's a homebrew character. Orthean is a race my friend found online. The race is actually from Space and can Breath underwater and has a high mental capability. Meaning it has Telekinesis, can read minds, and make mental links to other people.
The classes are also a homebrew (custom) class. Soothsayers are essentially Bloodbenders from Avatar mixed with blood mages. Witch Doctor is a mix of a sorcerer and Necromancer so a lot of fun.
Now for the Big point. My character has replaced her heart with a philosopher stone. Upside. I can't die unless that gets ripped from my chest. Downside. I have no blood in my body. This means I have to rely on other blood in my surrounding area. Her left arm is one of a inevitable or a machine with a, in most cases, philosopher stone for a heart. Now what kind of sorcerer doesn't have some kind of god right. Mine is no longer a God but an underling. Faebith has been around so long and has beaten her god and is the new god of the bloodrelm. The previous one was none other than Mr. Popo (DBZ abridged). Now that that's out of the way lets get to the actual story shall we.
Chapter one: Introductions
Island of patch (Before Summer's death)
We see Summer Rose in a snowy outcrop with tree's surrounding it. Two blades in her hand and A look of determination on her face. Surrounding her are countless grimm mainly comprised of Beowolves and Ursa. She's been fighting for well over an hour at this point with no end in sight. A group of Beowolves charge her and she side steps and slashes at the first one. Taking a leap over the second she slashes at the second. Unfortunately stamina is a bitch after about an hour of none stop fighting. With her aura already low the last two get a swipe at her exposed back. She dodges the first but gets struck by the second. Her aura shatters and blood flies from the new wound.
Bloodrelm
Faebith was bored. With her being the only Soothsayer in quiet a while there was no need of her.
Sigh. If only more people knew about soothsaying. I'd be able to do a lot more. Maybe Palp needs help. A scream is heard. Faebith's head pops up a bit. A cure to my boredom? Well thank you. She moves over to the source and sees a portal that shows a woman surrounded by multiple creatures. More prey. Maybe I can convert her if I save her. With this thought in mind she opens up the portal to the world and steps through with an Iron Scimitar in one hand and an obsidian sword in the other.
With Summer
The pain was the only thing keeping her awake but once the adrenaline wares off she knows she won't make it. An Ursa steps up to her and raises itself up on it's hind legs. Summer tries to raise her sword but it feels too heavy. The only thing she can do is close her eyes and wait. I'm sorry Ruby. I'm sorry Yang. Looks like I'm not coming home after all. But instead of feeling the Ursa on her she only hears a sword piercing flesh.
"My my. This is quiet the predicament you put yourself in." A feminine voice says. Summer looks up and sees. A creature with a lizard like head with the Blackest of scales, amber eyes with slits for pupils, and white hair. It wore nothing but leather armor from it's head down to it's feet. However underneath looked to be a type of skintight suit. In her hand was a Iron scimitar that was stabbed into the Ursa and in her other was a black sword. All along her exposed arms however was small spikes piercing her skin. On her back were Wings as dark as night folded with spikes on the joints. "You can't even take out these weaklings? Tell you what. I help you and you help me in return. But we can discuss that later. For now just patch yourself up." It pulls out the sword and puts it on a holder on it's backpack that had scales on it as well. From the portal it came through comes a red orb around the size of a kiddy pool. It floats high into the air and just sits there. The creature lifts it's hand and brings it down. "Blood rain." Soon the orb starts spitting out small drops of itself at the speed of a bullet down on the hoard of grimm.
Summer's eyes widen. With only that one move it took out ¾ the grimm that were there. What kind of Semblance is that?! She took out more with one move than a lot of Huntsman could on there own. The creature then dashed forward with it's wings extended. The next 5 minutes were nothing more than an extermination to the highest degree. With all the grimm gone the creature turns back to Summer while putting the other sword on the other slot of the bag.
"Now then. I believe you can help me quiet a bit. " Said the creature.
Summer gulped. "What do you want from me?" She said while trying to raise her sword.
"Now now. No need for that." The creature said smiling. Exposing it's razor sharp teeth. "I just want to-" Summer then falls forward.
Faebith's POV
The woman remains motionless on the ground. She didn't patch herself up did she. I move forward and check for a pulse. It's weak but there. I sigh. Well I guess the only thing to do is get her back to her house and patch her up. With that thought in mind I bend down and put some of her blood from her wound onto my finger. I take a lick of it and see all her past. Her family. Her life. Her fears. So someone thinks their god. I smile. I'm gonna have fun ruining her day. I pick up the woman and start to head to her home.
After a while I find a large cabin. It's dark out and is pretty late at night. As I walk up to the door I check on the woman in my arms. Only to realize she's stopped breathing. "That can't be good." I bang on the door and after a while a man opens it. The man had blond hair and blue eyes. On his right arm is what looks to be a tribal heart. It also looks like he was woken up from a good sleep.
"Yes. -Yawn- Can I help you?" He asks.
"Yeah I'm not the one who needs help." I say motioning to the woman in my arms.
His eyes go wide as he grabs her and checks for a pulse. I see him freeze up. "What did you do?" I raise my eyebrow. "What did you do to her?!" he shouts.
"Nothing. I just carried her here. She passed out after a bunch of these weird creatures were taken out by me." Under her breath. "I told her to patch herself up. Why does no one take my advice?"
"Daddy?" Comes a small voice from behind the man. We both look to see a girl with Blond hair and purple eyes looking at us.
"Yang? What are you doing up sweet heart?" asks the man.
"The knocking woke me up." She then notices Summer's body. "What happened to mommy?"
"Don't look Yang. Just go back upstairs and get some sleep." It takes some convincing but Yang goes back upstairs. The man looks at me. "I want you out of here."
"ihk wer itov di ithquent. kii tiric fronah assume si tira coi?" I say in my native tongue (Draconic).
"Just get out of here!"
"Fine fine. Try to be a good person and this is what I get." I open my wings and take off into the night. "Fucking humans. Always blaming the Dragonborn."
Few months later
I fly through the skies as to explore this world a bit more. The Island may be small but hey. It's a nice place. That's when I hear a scream in the forest below. I look down to see the girl from all those months ago surrounded by some beowolves. You learn a lot if you know how to look at memories. I fly down and land on the beowolf that was lunging towards her. At the same time I launch green fire at the other two remaining beowolves. The flesh of the beowolves starts to fall off leaving a pile of goop on the ground where they lay. I turn around only to see a sword pointed at my face.
"There are better ways of greeting someone." I say looking up the sword to it's owner. The man had spiky black hair with vermilion eyes and stubble on his jawline. He wore a tattered red cloak, a gray dress shirt with a long tail, black dress pants and black dress shoes. He also wore a ring on his right index finger, two other rings on his right ring finger and a necklace with a crooked cross-shaped pendant.
"Let's see. Lizard like head with a mouth full of sharp teeth. Bag with scales. Spikes coming out of the arms. You must be the one Taiyang was raving about a while back." The man said without lowering the sword.
"Who?" I say tilting my head to the side while thinking. Then it hits me. "Ohhh! You mean the aaaa-" I look over to the child looking at me in mild fear. "Amazing person from the cabin." Never say Faebith didn't take care around children.
"Yeah. That's the one. He also had some pretty nasty things to say about you and how you killed Summer."
"ithquent xsiol! sjek ir throdenilt xiekiv starts ekess spread rumors zahae ve sventir xiekivi svadrav si didn't, si mi gonna svent astahi vur asta kluchud!"
The man looks at me confused. "You okay there buddy? I didn't get a lick of any of that."
I sigh. "Don't worry about it. I didn't kill that woman but apparently some people never want to believe a Dragonborn."
"Dragon what?"
I stare at him. "You don't have Dragonborn here? That could be a good reason people keep staring at me."
The man laughs and lowers his sword. "Yeah that sounds like Tai. Never listening to anyone but himself. Name's Qrow." He says extending his hand.
I look at his hand. I don't really trust this man. Then again I don't trust anyone after Nelion and Palps. Better use an alias for now. "Darastrix." I say shaking his hand.
"That's a unique name."
"Usually get that." I hear a small yawn and finally see the wagon Yang has. Inside is a girl wrapped in a cloak with black hair that fades to red at the tips and silver eyes. "What unique eyes you have there young one." The girl looks up and shrinks back at seeing me. I laugh. "Do not fear young one. I will not harm you." I bend down to be eye level with her. Yang doesn't like it.
"Leave her alone!" She yells while sending a punch my way. I block her fist with my palm as not to stab her with the spikes.
"Yang. Behave now." says Qrow while laughing a bit.
I ignore her and take out a locket. Inside a small orb spins for a bit until it lands on the girl. "It looks like you have a lot of power little one. Hopefully it gets used for good." I stand up. "You should get them home. It is getting late."
"Yeah. Take care Darastrix."
I nod and take to the skies. That girl has some incredible power. I'll have to monitor her for a while. Maybe later in her life she could help me or at least find me someone.
Ruby age 10
I was wandering the forest for a while after another fight with my father. "Why won't he let me learn to fight like Yang? It's so unfair." That's when I hear fighting and go to take a look. I peek through a bush and see something fighting the grimm. It was slicing them up and even using green fire to kill them left and right. It flowed like the fight was a dance and I couldn't look away. Unfortunately that was a bad idea as a beowolf sneaked up on me. I hear the growl and can only scream as it lunges toward me. That is until a metal spear went through it's head. I turn back only to see a creature in front of me.
"You know. It's impolite to stare at someone when they fight." It says with what can only be described as a smirk. "So. What are you doing out here all by yourself?"
I get up and look away. "My father won't train me to fight. He'll let Yang do it but not me." I then look at the creature. "But maybe you can teach me."
"You don't even know me." I smile sheepishly. "Listen. Your still pretty young. You shouldn't worry about fighting so soon."
"But I want to learn. I want to be a huntress like my mother and help plenty of people."
It looks at me as if contemplating. "What's your name child?"
"Ruby. Ruby Rose and you?"
"Darastrix. If you're serious about this Ruby. Then meet me at the cliff side with a tombstone on it."
"You mean my mother's grave?"
It blinks. "Seriously? He had to bury her there?" It sighs then. "Yes meet me there at midnight. Then I'll decide. Oh and I'm female if it matters." It opened it's wings and took off. I head back home and my father is waiting for me.
"Where were you?"
"Out for a walk. Can't I even do that?"
"It's too dangerous out there. You should have at least told me."
"You think everything is too dangerous! That's the problem." I say as I go upstairs.
"Where are you going? We're not done here."
"Yes we are!" I slam my door and lay in bed. I hope Darastrix will take me. Anywhere is better than here.
Around 11:30 I slip out my window with a packed bag and take one last look at the place that was a prison for me. I take a deep breath and head off to my mother's grave. When I get there I see it was recently dug up and Darastrix Standing there looking at a skull.
"Yes I know she's your daughter but I've seen what your so called husband is doing to her... Yes it is that bad... Look she came to me about it. What was I suppose to do? Say no?... She just want's to be like you. Who am I to stop her. Besides I'll be there to help her out along the way... No I'm just gonna do the other one... Yes that one... Hey at least she'll be able to-" That's when she notices me. She looks back to the skull. "We'll talk about this later." She puts the skull in her bag. "Now then it seems like you're serious about this. Now are you sure? There's no turning back after this."
"I'm sure. Besides. You'll be with me every step of the way."
She stares at me. "I have to keep my eye out for you. Otherwise you'll use my words against me." She sighs. "Alright then. Only one thing to do." She touches my head and soon I feel pain beyond belief before blacking out but not before hearing, "You'll be my start. Ruby Rose."
Hope you enjoyed. All those parts that you didn't understand when Faebith was talking will be explained in future chapters. Please review it to help me out or just to tell me what you think. Until next time. Stack out.
