Battle of Emerald Fist and Hateful Ice
Izuku and Team RWBY are walking together to have a little talk though it looks like Izuku is more in his little world, thinking about that fight between Katsuki and Ochaco and how she kept on fighting but ultimately lost in the end.
"(I'm so sorry, Uraraka.)" Izuku thought felt sad that Ochaco couldn't move on in the tournament since she had worked so hard and have gotten this far, all to help her parents live an easy life.
"Hey, earth to Izuku!" Yang called out in Izuku's hear.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Were you girls saying something?" Izuku asked.
"We were just saying that Ochaco will did good out there against Katsuki and we've been thinking about visiting her in Recovery Girl's office." Ruby explained.
"Oh yeah, that would be nice. I'm sure she would like that." Izuku smiled.
Just then, Katsuki comes up the stairs and flinches in anger upon seeing Izuku, and those four girls, here about to cross his path as he also notices his rival coming up.
"Oh, hey Kacchan!" Izuku gasped.
"What the Hell are you doing here?" Katsuki demanded.
"Oh, well, I'm up next, so you know. I was gonna hang in the waiting room." Izuku explained, still acting a bit nervous around Katsuki.
"As for us, we just wanted to make sure Izuku freak himself out with his fight against Shoto. Trying to keep his head "cool" under pressure." Yang explained her part.
"Um, also congrats on winning your match. See you 'round!" Izuku nervously walked away from Katsuki, hoping the exploding guy was somewhat cool with how hard Ochaco fought.
"It was your idea, wasn't it? That stupid, desperate plan of hers." Katsuki asked, his question cause Izuku to stop.
"What make you think Izuku had any part in it?" Blake asked.
"Because he's someone who could come up with something that annoying." Katsuki answered before turning back to Izuku.
"If we end up—"
"You're wrong." Izuku said, cutting off Katsuki's threat.
"That plan. Uraraka came up with it all on her own, I didn't know anything about it. If that battle was harder than you thought it would be, then it's because of her strategy, not mine." Izuku stated with confidence.
"He's right. That girl has the bravery and willpower to fight against even the impossible odds despite losing in the end." Weiss agreed with Izuku as she crosses her arms.
"Yeah, she was awesome when she kept getting back up and charge at you!" Ruby smiled, doing a few playful jabs.
"She got lots of guts, good heart too." Blake nodded.
"She has a lot of work with her fighting skills as it's on the low level, but she got potential that I can help with." Yang smirked.
Katsuki looks at the group, being all silent angry though not entirely angry and then he turns around and walks away.
"Do you think he's mad at us now?" Ruby asked.
"I'm sure it's fine." Yang shrugged.
(With Class 1-A)
Katsuki arrives at the UA Class 1-A seating area as his classmates saw him come in, and Hanta decided to speak first.
"Hey, Bakugo! Playin' the villain, huh? Musta been tough." Hanta teased.
"Even if it was just because of who you were up against, you did make a pretty convincing bad guy." Tsuyu stated bluntly.
"Shut up, you idiots. Or else!" Katsuki angered.
"For real, dude. I don't know how you were able to aim a powerful blast at a frail girl like that. I couldn't help but told back against Ruby." Denki proclaimed.
"She completely wiped the floor with you, Kaminari." Tsuyu pointed out bluntly.
"Can't you just let me have this?" Denki exclaimed, trying to act cool for a moment there.
"Hmph. I definitely wouldn't call that girl "frail"." Katsuki whispered to himself that he can respect Uraraka for being tough.
(Player Waiting Room)
Izuku and Team RWBY arrive at the waiting room.
"So, you got what we talked about?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah, if Todoroki is going to keep using his ice throughout the battle, then my best bet would be to try outlasting him until his ice starts to work against him." Izuku nodded. But even so, there was something else in Izuku's mind that he wanted to do with Shoto.
"Good luck, we'll be cheering for you!" Ruby smiled.
Izuku smiles and enters the waiting room, only to find that Ochaco is in that room.
"Man, I lost. Too bad." Ochaco said with smile.
Izuku was shocked to see Ochaco in here, and the four girls from another world saw her too as they were also shocked.
"Guess I got a little carried away at the end thinking I had it in the bag. Dang it!" Ochaco said cheerfully.
"Ochaco!" Ruby tackled Ochaco to the ground in a hug.
"But I thought you were going to be in Recovery Girl's nursey for a while!" Ruby said.
"Oh, I'm fine now. Recovery Girl took care of my injuries, being careful not to drain my stamina too much though. So, I've still got a few scrapes and scratches." Ochaco explained.
"Glad to see you're up and about, but it must still suck that you lost to Katsuki." Yang said.
"Are you trying to make her feel bad?" Weiss asked with a scolding face.
"Yeah, it sucks! Jeez, I didn't realize how powerful that Bakugo was! He wiped the ring with me. Now I realized how much more training I have to do!" Ochaoc frustrated but notice Izuku looking at her like he's in shocked.
"You are you're good?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, you took some painful blows." Blake was concerned for Ochaco as well.
"Oh yeah, totally! I'm better than I expected." Ochaco answered. Her phone vibrates as the caller ID is "Daddy", but she didn't answer yet.
"Even if you've lost, you always keep looking ahead to what's next, Deku. This just means I have to work harder now." Ochaco said.
"Izuku, I hate to break up the touching moment we were just having, but I believe you need to get going for your match with Shoto." Weiss tapped her wrist.
"Oh, you're right! Later!" Izuku walked off to the door.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Deku! You weren't able to prepare since I was here!" Ochaco apologized.
"Actually, we had a little talk before coming here about his approach to Shoto, so he should be fine." Ruby mentioned.
"Not only that but talking to you was something to help cheer me up a bit more." Izuku added.
"I'll be watching. Good luck out there." Ochaco smiled.
"Thanks." Izuku smiled back.
"Guess we should be going too. Don't wanna miss the match." Weiss gestured to the door.
"Oh, I need to pee!" Ruby realized and ran out for the bathroom.
"We'll save a seat for you." Yang said as she and the others went out.
Once Ochaco is all alone in the room, she starts dialing in the number on her phone to call back her dad who tried calling her earlier when Deku and the girls were in here. The phone rang once, and it was answered.
"Sorry for not picking up earlier, Daddy." Ochaco apologized.
"No, no, it's fine. Sorry for calling when you're busy." Ochaco's dad apologized insistingly.
"Your mom and I watched you on TV. You almost won! You were amazing!" Ochaco's dad complimented genuinely amazes of Ochaco's performance in that fight.
"It wasn't that close. And I wasn't very good. I rushed it too much at the end. I didn't have a backup plan for what I'd do if that big move didn't work." Ochaco pointed out the flaws in her fight as her hand shakes on the table.
"I failed." Ochaco said sadly.
"You lost. But that doesn't mean you can't still be a pro hero. I know I don't have the best understanding of how all this works, but there's always next year, right? This isn't the end." Ochaco's dad stated.
"I know, but I wish I coulda gone further in the festival so I could have had more chances to show what I'm made of. The scouts barely saw me do anything this time around." Ochaco said, her voice starting to sob.
"What're you in such a hurry for, huh?" Ochaco's dad asked with a little chuckle.
"It just… I want to help you guys out as soon as I can." Ochaco said, sniffling as the tears are coming out.
"Ochaco, there's no need for you to rush." Ochaco's dad said calmly.
And here comes the tears as they drip and drop to the floor from her eyes.
"The very fact that you feel the way shows me that you'll make a kind, caring hero one day. I am so proud of you." Ochaco's dad said.
Ochaco started to tear up some more upon hearing the words that her dad is proud of her despite losing in the tournament, and that must also mean her mom is also proud of her too. This is really too much for her to stop herself from crying, finally letting her sadness of her lost out.
(With Izuku)
"(Uraraka must be so upset.)" Izuku thought knew that Ochaco was hiding her emotions.
"(I thought I could help her back there. But in the end, I didn't do anything for her. Instead, she's cheering me on. She's got my back.)" Izuku thought saw how Ochaco put up the tough act for him.
"I'll be watching. Good luck out there." Ochaco's words repeated in his head.
"(She's the one encouraging me again. I bet Yang and the others are also upset that they couldn't do a thing for her too.)" Izuku thought wiped his tears and tried to be strong for Ochaco.
But then something unexpected came out from the corner of the hallway on the right, and that something is none other than the Number 2 hero of Japan, the Flame Hero: Endeavor.
"Endeavor?!" Izuku yelped.
"Ah, I was looking for you." Endeavor said, turning his sight on Izuku.
This is a shock to Izuku. What could the Number 2 Hero want with him of all people, shouldn't be going to Shoto for a short chat though now that Izuku thinks about it, they're on pretty bad terms with each other as he remembers that private talk with him and Weiss.
"Uh, yeah, hi. So, uh, what are you doing back here?" Izuku asked as Endeavor step a bit closer to him.
"I watched your fight against the girl with the interesting power with those circles. I dare both of you were pretty impressive, but more so on you. To create so much wind pressure with that punch and how fast you were moving too." Endeavor explained.
"All that reminds me of another Quirk. You seem to have much in common with All Might." Endeavor said.
This cause Izuku to gasp now the Todoroki father sees the common thing between him and All Might, just like with the Todoroki son.
"Uh, well… I guess I never thought about it that way." Izuku tried to play it off that he doesn't see it.
"Sorry, but I should get going." Izuku walked away.
"(Is it possible that he knows about one for all? No, he probably would have mentioned it. He's one person I can't let find out about All Might's secret.)" Izuku thought knew about the rivalry between All Might and Endeavor, how heated things can be.
"It's my Shoto's duty to surpass All Might as the number one hero." Endeavor proclaimed. This got Izuku to stop walking.
"And his match with you will be a good testing ground for how much training he has left." Endeavor stated that he wants to see how far he has come.
"So, hit him hard. Don't disgrace yourself or him by holding back." Endeavor ordered. Wanting to see just how much Shoto has grown.
This started to make Izuku remember the words Shoto said to him about how much he hates his dad and how he wants to resent him.
"I refuse to rely on my old man's fire Quirk."
(Flashback)
"The reason I picked a fight with you was to show my old man what I was capable of doing. Without having to replay on his damned fire Quirk." Shoto said looking back at Izuku.
(Flashback End)
Thinking about it now, and what Weiss said to him about Shoto turning into his father in the future, he can see that Shoto may walk down a dark path that could end up ruining him instead of trying to be better than his dad.
"That's all I wanted to say. I apologized for bothering you." Endeavor said before walking away.
But then Izuku speak up to give Endeavor a little piece of his mind.
"Endeavor, I'm not All Might." Izuku said, this got Endeavor to stop in confusion.
"What? What are you talking about?" Endeavor asked.
"And the same goes for Todoroki. He maybe your son, but he isn't you." Izuku stated, giving the flame hero a strong stare for a moment before he walks away.
Izuku remembers what Shoto said to him back in the locker room before the start of the UA Sports Festival.
"However, you've got All Might in your corner, helping you out."
"(Todoroki.)" Izuku thought knew things would be intense between him and his dad, but this is something else.
"It's my Shoto's duty to surpass All Might as the number one hero." Endeavor's words said in his head.
(With Todoroki)
Shoto is walking through the tunnel making his way to the fighting ring while having only one thing in his mind right now.
"(Midoriya.)" Shoto thought narrowed his eyes a little.
(With Endeavor)
Endeavor is still standing on the spot while being a little shocked about that boy just telling him off like that, even though he doesn't take much of what he said seriously, that boy sure is braver than he looks.
(With Toshinori)
Toshinori sits with the other teachers, and then thought about that chat he had with Endeavor earlier back after the Calvary Battle.
(Flashback)
All Might and Endeavor are at the staircase of the stadium and the flame hero made one statement to the Number 1 Hero of the world.
"Let me assure you one thing, All Might. I will mold that child into a hero that surpasses you one day." Endeavor said.
(Flashback End)
The scene shows Team RWBY sitting together with the rest of Class 1-A looking at the stage, waiting for Izuku and Shoto to show up and start the fight.
"So, the match hasn't started yet?" Ochaco asked, walking up to them.
"Ochaco! We saved you a siIIIT?!" Ruby gasped, Tenya and Fumikage also saw this.
Ochaco's eyes appeared to be narrowed a little red for some reason, like all the moister in her eyes have been dried up.
"Something horrible has happened to your eyes! You need to go see Recovery Girl!" Tenya advised worryingly.
"I already did. This is from… something else." Ochaco said as she sat down.
"Ah, of course. If I were you, I'd be frustrated too." Tenya understood that Ochaco must've really been upset about the loss.
"It's no time to wallow. Use this next fight as a source of encouragement." Fumikage advised.
"He's right. Watching other strong people doing their best with all the strength and power they have can be a good example of what kind of level of strength you want to achieve. So, don't take your eyes off this fight." Weiss stated.
"Will do." Ochaco nodded.
"You two are so wise." Tenya said, having gone white.
"I can feel the anticipation in the stadium!" Present Mic shouted.
"And that's because the second round's first match is gonna be epic!" Present Mic commented.
"It's the guy who won his last fight by a landslide and literally left half the audience frozen. The Hero Course's Shoto Todoroki!" Present Mic introduced Shoto who walks onto the stage with his serious and cold expression.
"And this kid made a powerful impression when he almost lost to his opponent but made a comeback with some power to push ahead of her with some impressive moves! Also from the hero course, Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic introduced Izuku who is determined to win this match and among other things.
"Knock him dead, Deku!" Yang cheered.
Izuku and Shoto stare at each other knowing this is one fight they are going have to put everything they got into this match and try to one up each other, each fighting for their own reason.

Now we have come to the epic match of Izuku vs Shoto as both fighters are fighting for their own reason with one wanting to reject his father and the other has come this far with the support of his friends, and both strong willpowers are going to clash.
