Red vs Blue Speed and Shadow Cat Against Bird
"Time for the second fight of the second round! Here we have Ruby Rose vs Tenya Iida, both students of the first-year Hero Course!" Present Mic announced with both students on the ring.
"I won't hold back on you, Tenya!" Ruby smirked while stretching her legs.
"Neither will I. Your speed is greater than my own when you did the Quirk Assessment Tests, so I will have to push myself to go even faster to beat you." Tenya stated.
"Battle begin!" Midnight started the match.
"Here I come!" Ruby charged follow using her Rose Speed Semblance to zoom at Tenya.
Tenya gasp that Ruby is coming towards him at top speed right from the start and he barely reacted in time to dodge as he jumps out of the way, then he gets into a runner position to use his top speed as well.
"Alright, let see if you can dodge me as well." Tenya said, charging up his legs.
"Recipro Burst!" Tenya used his special superspeed move to charge at Ruby.
Ruby barely had time to react when Tenya tackles her with his arms and started pushing her towards the edge of the ring to win with a ring out, but the rose girl wouldn't go down that easily as she gets herself off from Tenya and zooms around to get away from him.
"Trying to get away, I won't let you!" Tenya quickly turned around and chase after Ruby.
Ruby does her best to dodge Tenya with his intense speed, and he was able to intercept her speed short flight with a kick to the head.
Tenya quickly grabs Ruby and runs toward the edge where he goes to spin around fast and throws Ruby a little high and far out of the ring.
"(No! Not like this!)" Ruby thought refused to give up and use her Semblance to fly back into the ring.
"Do not think I'll let you rest!" Tenya dashed at Ruby, still using his special move.
"Then I won't rest until I've beaten you!" Ruby yelled.
The two started their speedy clash with Tenya throwing his kicks while Ruby does her best to throw her own punches even though they are weak, they can still do some damage with her speed as they zoom around the ring.
"I can tell this battle sure is going along fast, and I mean literally fast because it's hard to tell with them fighting each other with such speed!" Present Mic commented.
"Ruby is on low key when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, but it looks like she was able to work her way around that a little." Aizawa pointed out.
"You got this, Ruby!" Yang cheered.
"Fight well, Iida!" Izuku cheered for Tenya while mentally cheering for Ruby as well.
"Both of them are going really fast with each other in this match, I can't tell who has the advantage here." Rikido is shocked to see this kind of fight.
"Todoroki, what's your take on this?" Weiss asked the red and white hair boy.
"It's a little hard to say, Ruby does appear to have the more mobility than Iida, but it looks like she could wear herself out faster than Iida from what I can see." Shoto said.
"That means Ruby is going to lose." Kyoka got what Shoto might be saying in this fight.
"No way! Ruby got this in the bag!" Yang refused to believe Ryby is going to lose.
"It's okay, Yang. Even if Ruby does end up losing the match, she can take this as a learning experience to make herself stronger and become a better hero." Izuku believed.
Yang thought about this for a little while, realizing that Izuku is probably right about that since Ruby is still younger than her and the other girls in Team RWBY which means she might mature a bit more from this too.
Ruby dodges another strike from Tenya, getting herself about twenty feet away from him though she suddenly stops and pants as her body is starting to feel the exhaustion having to use her power so many times throughout this fight.
But that short break is what got Tenya to land a fast and powerful kick on the head followed by another kick that swings in the stomach that pushes Ruby back several feet.
"It looks like this is my win!" Tenya smiled.
"No… I'm not done yet!" Ruby determined.
"(That right in her eyes, they are just like Midoriya's eyes when he gets serious and trying to push himself further.)" Tenya thought saw Izuku in Ruby with the fire of determination.
"(I better end this now before she starts breaking her limits.)" Tenya thought knew this fight has to end.
Tenya also knew that his Recipro Burst is also reaching to the limit for the usage, which means he really needs to end this fast, superfast.
Ruby was about to go in to attack Tenya, but her foot slips a little causing her to lose her balance which is the opening Tenya needed as he goes in and tackles Ruby pushing her back and further until he knocks her off the ring.
"Ruby is out of bound! The winner of this match if Tenya Iida!" Midnight announced.
"And there you have it, Tenya Iida is the one who will advance to the next round with a speedy record!" Present Mic commented.
"Oh man, I lost…" Ruby panted complaining a little.
"Are you alright? You seem really exhausted from having to use your Quirk so many times." Tenya asked while offering her a helping hand.
"Yeah, you could say I sprinted too much." Ruby smiled, accepting the hand and getting back up.
"Oh man, she really lost…" Yang exclaimed.
"Don't worry, Yang. It'll be alright." Izuku comforted Yang.
"Well, guess that means I'll have to fight even harder for Ruby and carry on to the final round!" Yang excitedly with her fist in the air.
"Wow, you cheered up fast!" Izuku gasped.
The next match went underway of Blake Belladonna vs Fumikage Tokoyami as they are now standing on the fighting stage.
"I wish you luck." Blake bowed like a martial artist does when facing an opponent.
"Same with you." Fumikage said, showing the same respect with his own bow as well.
"Yeah! Time we get the third match of the second round started! GO!" Present Mic shouted with excitement.
The match begins and Fumikage summons Dark Shadow from his body to attack Blake to get her fast before she could make a move, but Blake has already made her move using her Shadow Semblance to dodge the attack and dashes for Fumikage himself.
"Looks like Blake is not wasting any time with Dark Shadow as she makes her way to Tokoyami. What a smart move!" Present Mic was impressed with Blake's approach.
"Shit! She's coming for me!" Fumikage cursed.
Blake makes a jump to throw for a flying kick to the head which Fumikage quickly blocks with his arms though still got push back a few feet.
"(She's strong!)" Fumikage thought groaned.
"You won't get away from me!" Dark Shadow charged at Blake from behind.
"Wanna bet?" Blake asked sarcastically.
Dark Shadow threw down a claw attack to knock the cat girl down only for her to vanish because of her power taking her place as she jumps and threw a roundhouse kick on the head, but the dark creature just growls and tries to attack her again but used her Semblance again to jump higher and kick him some more.
"I had enough of you!" Dark Shadow grabbed Blake's leg and threw her down to the ground.
"Quick Dark Shadow, grab her and try to throw her out of the ring!" Fumikage commanded.
"You got it!" Dark Shadow threw down its big hands before Blake could even get back up, pinning her down to the ground at first then going to throw her.
However, that plan failed when the Blake on the ground turned out to be a fake as it fades away as she rolled backwards and kick Dark Shadow in the head again before charging at Fumikage.
Blake starts throwing some punches and some legs at the bird-headed boy who does his best to block them, but he is easily being overwhelmed and even stumbles back.
Blake jumps over Fumikage while grabbing his arm to spin him around a little then threw him close to the edge of the ring.
However, immediately after throwing Fumikage away, Blake gets attacked by Dark Shadow with a punch that hits the real deal sending her flying a few feet as she manages to land on her feet.
"Blake is laying some smackdown on Tokoyami despite having the long-range advantage with his Quirk, this kitty cat certainly knows how to get around." Present Mic was amazed.
"She's taking the advantage that Fumikage can't fight on his own while avoiding Dark Shadow, quite the clever move." Momo commented.
"But Tokoyami's Quirk still has the advantage of raw strength, so she needs to be careful." Kyoka pointed out.
Blake jumps back to dodge another strike from the creature of darkness and use the momentum of its swing to catapult herself into the air, lands on the long black line of Dark Shadow connected to Fumikage, she runs fast going for the bird guy.
"Like we let you do that." Fumikage said.
It was then that Dark Shadow shakes his body causing the line to shake up rapidly that become very difficult for Blake to run on, she had to jump in order to keep going on this path only for Fumikage's Quirk to come wrapping itself around Blake to trap her.
"We got you now." Fumikage smiled.
"Uh-oh, looks like Tokoyami finally got Blake within his grasp. This could be the end for her." Present Mic believed from how he's seeing.
"(Blake may have gotten caught, but I have a strong feeling that she is not done. Not by a long shot.)" Aizawa thought stated.
"You were indeed a worthy opponent to have battle against my darkness, Blake Belladonna." Fumikage complimented.
"I can tell that you too have walked the path of darkness though it seems more you are trying to run away from it." Fumikage felt that kind of impression.
"What would you know about it? You don't even know me." Blake pointed out.
"You're right, I don't know you fully since you've only transferred into UA a short while ago, but I do know that you can't run away from the darkness that you've embraced. You're too scared to face it, but I also see that you have your friends to count on whenever you're down." Fumikage looked over to RWY.
"Come on, Blake! You can get out of this!" Ruby yelled.
"You can totally give that bird guy a painful back scratch!" Yang smiled.
"I know you can get out of this, Blake. Show him why you're the one who has the stronger will." Weiss stated with strong beliefs in her eyes.
Blake has just been reminded that she is not alone in the life that she had tried to run away from and has been worried about the White Fang, she has her friends with her and Izuku to help them despite not being from the same world as they are.
Blake forms a smile on her face and looks down at Fumikage.
"I usually like birds and don't hurt them, but I think I can make an exception with you." Blake said.
"You can try after you're out of the ring!" Fumikage smirked.
"Say bye-bye, kitty!" Dark Shadow smirked before he throws Blake away.
But Blake instantly uses her Semblance to make herself go backward and grab onto the claw of Dark Shadow much to his and Fumikage's shock.
"(One thing is for sure, I am NOT running away from this fight!)" Blake thought burned with determination.
Blake swings herself to give another kick on Dark Shadow who in respond tries to smack her down only to hit the afterimage of her Semblance as she dives toward Fumikage, he starts to panic a little and tries to move out of the way, but she came in too fast as she goes for a drop kick on the head.
"Fumikage?!" Dark Shadow worried.
Blake gives the bird-headed boy one slap on the face and then throws a kick soon after to push Fumikage further back, Dark Shadow tries to charge in to tackle Blake down to the ground only to phase right through her as another trap used by her Semblance causing the sentient Quirk to crash right into Fumikage pushing him back further.
"Damn it… You are more skilled than I gave you credit for." Fumikage groaned. The scene shows that Fumikage has fallen outside of the line of the ring.
"Thanks, and thanks for the good fight." Blake smiled.
"Fumikage Tokoyami is out of bound. The winner is Blake Belladonna!" Midnight announced, and the crowd started cheering for the black hair cat girl, praising her for what a good fight she did.
"Now that's what I call a battle between cat and bird, and it's the cat that won this fight. Talk about putting the "Ow" in "Meow"!" Present Mic punned.
"Great, now you got Yang's bad puns." Aizawa sighed.
"Oh come on, that pun was purr-fect!" Yang smirked.
"Yang, please stop." Weiss begged exclaiming.
"Easy now, I'm sure Yang didn't mean to "meowing" around." Izuku joked a little causing Yang to laugh loud while some of the others did laugh a little.
"Okay, that was better than Yang's." Kyoka snickered.
"Whatever, it wasn't that funny." Katsuki proclaimed, refusing to admit that it was indeed funny.
(Waiting Room 1)
Yang is sitting at the table doing some thinking about her big fight with Katsuki knowing that it's going to be a big one, probably one of the hardest fights she ever had to fought almost like the combat classes back at Beacon Academy, but this one will be more.
"(Okay Yang, you got this. You totally got this!)" Yang thought tried to hype herself.
"(From what Izuku told me, Katsuki is both muscle and brain. He may come off as a guy with a very bad temper, which is mostly true, and doesn't think much with his head. But the guy is actually smarter than he looks, could be in the top five smartest students in Class 1-A.)" Yang thought recalled what she was told about Katsuki.
"(Not only that, but his Quirk: Explosion is pretty fucking powerful for him to be able to control how much power he needs in his attacks and having fast reflexes too.)" Yang thought remembered the times seeing Katsuki use his Quirk throughout the sports festival.
"Oh yeah, that guy is definitely going to be hard to beat, but I can still turn this in my favor if I use his anger against him." Yang believed, having experience with her own anger.
"Not only that, but my Semblance should also be a good counter to his Quirk. Just need to make sure not to use it too soon." Yang smiled and stood up.
"Alright, time to get this show on the road!" Yang pounded her fists together.
(Fighting Stage)
"OH YEAH! ARE YOU READY?" Present Mic asked shouting and the crowd cheers for the answer.
"Yeah, good!" Present Mic nodded of approval to the crowd's answer.
"It's time we get started on the fourth and final match of the second round to see which of these two fighters will be moving on!" Present Mic smirked.
"On this corner, we have the girl with the fiery spirit who seeks the thrill of adventures with the burning passion of a fighter! Yang Xiao Long of the Hero Course!" Present Mic introduced Yang.
"Get ready to feel the burn from my fists!" Yang held her fist toward Katsuki.
"In the other corner, he is one boy who always goes BOOM as it's his answer to everything and the ambition to aim for the top! Also from the Hero Course, Katsuki Bakugo!" Present Mic introduced Katsuki as well.
"The only thing that will be burning is your stupid hair and that fire show will shit compared to mine!" Katsuki proclaimed while twitching his fingers.
"I hate to admit this, but Katsuki could very well be a challenge for Yang." Ruby worried a little for Yang.
"She'll be fine, she's a big girl." Weiss believed, hiding her worry for Yang.
"I think Katsuki is going to win, but it won't be an easy battle for him." Kyoka said.
"Huh, since when are you and Bakugo on a first name basis?" Denki asked shock.
"None of your business!" Kyoka shouted in rage while her face is blushing red.
Yang and Katsuki stare at each other with both feeling excitement in this fight while feeling the need to win this battle to move on to the next round no matter what.
Time to see which fire burns hotter.
"Time for the battle to start… NOW!" Present Mic shouted.

The two battles were intense in their own way such was Tenya was able to beat Ruby despite the difference in experience (like Ruby fighting against Grimm), and Blake was able to get some of her own darkness to Fumikage. And now, it is time for Yang vs Katsuki, two raging fighters about to clash their power to see who can burn the brightest!
