Love Struck Eternal
Chapter 67 - Lines are fading.
Sam's POV, An hour later.
I was so out of place here. Lugo drove me to the head office where him and Lane and the others all worked. Hundreds of people littered the floors and all of them with jobs to play in this company Riley invested into. I bet most of them don't even know they're backed by terrorists like myself.
Lane's office was massive. An entire floor to himself and the few who actually knew what he did for a living. Lugo and I were alone for the most of the hour, but word was that Lane was on his way back. He prepared drinks and as he did he asked me from across the room where they had a small bar.
"Can I make you anything Anpu?"
"You have any whiskey back there? If so I'll take a small glass, no ice."
"Straight? I can respect that. Too strong for my tastes, but again I'm not you. Haha! Give me a second, please."
Unknown to Lugo I was in the middle of mediation. I haven't recharged for nearly a month now and even with my upgrade I still had some limits. Thankfully it didn't take long to recover. Another hour and I'll be back at full speed.
By the time I opened my eyes Lugo was on his way over with my drink.
"Here you are." He said to me as he handed it off and stood there for a minute to see me drink it. I took the whole glass down in a single shot because it was maybe three shots worth of drink in there. The mouse widened his eyes as I handed him back the empty glass.
"Thank you."
"Can I…..get you another?" He wondered nervously as I nodded my head and replied.
"Yes, thank you."
The man walked back to the bar just in time to see the door open from across the room. I turned around to see who it was and found a taller dark purple fox with a massive smile on his face as he looked right at the mouse behind the bar.
"What are you doing back there Lugo? I told you that you weren't allowed back there. Not after what happened."
"Ha…ha." Lugo jokingly laughed back as I had to assume this was Lane. He looked like he was in his late thirties, but still had the energy of a twenty year old. Basically running at the poor mouse, he said to him bluntly.
"I'm sorry Lugo, you know I don't mean nothing by it. You just can't hold your liquor." It seemed he was unaware that I was even here in the room, but as his eyes looked back at me I saw that he indeed was caught by surprise by my looks. I wore some black jeans and the same jacket I got when I went to my parents wedding. However I'm sure I looked more than just a kid to him. He took in my size and struggled to find the words to use to greet me with. So I just smiled and announced myself.
"Anpu."
The man instantly approached to offer his hand.
"Lane. Nice to finally meet the person who keeps Tika's head off the chopping block. Not to mention, but also the world's most infamous assassin. Heard that through the grapevine. He chuckled as he then urged me.
"I'm serious. The M.E.A.F posted an open contract for your head. They're offering a lot of money for anything that leads to your death or capture."
"What? Seriously?" I questioned in disbelief as he nodded and looked back at Lugo to ask.
"Can you fetch me my laptop Lugo? Pull up the contract while you're at it please."
"No problem boss." Lugo replied as he left to fetch the computer.
"Contract was posted this morning. Only a few hours old. Don't worry though, all they have to go on is your scary mask and armor. They posted old photos they nabbed off of CCTV footage from the Forth and Cardinal. Tika just got posted too. The M.E.A.F is getting desperate if they're gonna rely on contractors to solve their issues. But I'm sorry Anpu, I know you must have questions and I'm sure a lot of them are about why you're here. So let's make this easy." Lane took that as his chance to sit down at the bar. I saw the second glass Lugo had poured me and decided to also sit there. As I planted myself in the spot next to him he said to me calmly.
"What you're here to do is gonna get you into a lot of trouble if you're caught in the act. I plan to help in any way I can, but I can't risk much. If you need something I can get it, but it has to be quick. Ying is planning on moving the crate tomorrow night. We won't get another shot at this. So we have to be perfect. Ask any questions you have. I'll answer to the best of my ability."
Taking my second drink down in a single gulp, I cleared my throat then asked the fox.
"Where is it being held?"
"It's being held at Fort Belco. It's a G.U.N storage facility that houses most of their munitions. It's massive in scale and as you can imagine, heavily guarded twenty four hours a day. It's even harder to get into now that you have Ying there. From what I know the crate is being held in a storage container on the first sublevel of the fort. Lots of bells and whistles between you and it, assuming you manage to get inside the main building."
"How are they gonna get it out of the country?" I had to then wonder which is when he chuckled and replied.
"By sending it overseas under the cover of the container. The container itself is filled with rations and other supplies that regularly get shipped to G.U.N elsewhere or to the M.E.A.F. If I had to guess, they probably plan to sell it off before the food itself arrives at its destination."
"Any idea who they'd be selling this to? If the government is unaware that their selling off nukes to god knows who, then this would destroy their operation. They'd cease to exist. Why isn't Riley using this to her advantage?" I now had to ask as Lane himself contemplated the same thing now that it was being mentioned. After some time he looked back into my eyes to reply.
"She probably doesn't want to bother getting involved in a PMC. Ying itself has never been an issue to us and they tend to stay clear from any of our operations. Not that they'd even know, but Riley is always focused on the bigger picture and if you pull this off she'll have enough leverage to muscle over any government. They don't know that we have potentially a super weapon that we could aim anywhere. But of course when they do figure it out it'll either be too late or we'll have a war on our hands. Either way Anpu I don't think we have the time to care about this. Let's do what you came here to do. Let's show Riley and everyone else that your the fucking best."
Instantly I smiled and got a little flustered by his sudden excitement into my life and skills. If he only knew how easy this would be. All I needed was a ride to the fort and to know where exactly I needed to take the crate to once I had it.
"Well if that's the case then I'd like to get started. I do my best work on site, so is there any chance you can get someone to take me to the fort? I'd prefer to get the prep work done now rather than later."
Looking me up and down, Lane questioned.
"It's two in the afternoon, Anpu. How are you gonna case the fort in broad daylight?"
"I have my ways." I informed him as he urged me almost instantly after.
"How about we hold off on the fort until later tonight? Trust me the odds will be a lot better. It's not that I don't have faith, I just worry. So for now since you're my guest, I'd be honored if you'd join me and my family for dinner."
"I'd love to, but you yourself just said that the container moves tomorrow night and that this is nearly an impossible task. I need all the time I can get to make sure this gets done the right way. Let me do this now and I promise once I bring you the goods we'll schedule a dinner."
Lane had to consider his options closely as I was gonna stick to my guns about this. I could zip in and out of the fort with no issues at all, but I had to know where exactly I'd be zipping to. That meant I would have to go in beforehand and see the place for myself. I can't teleport if I don't know the exact spot I'd need to be. At least not until I had this power mastered. Plus this gave me time to see just how bad this would normally be for anyone else who wasn't myself. I was curious just how tight security would be from Ying considering they were there to hide and protect a nuke that they weren't supposed to have.
After a few moments Lane looked back at me with a smile to reply.
"Fine. I concede Anpu. Have it your way. You're the pro or so I'm told. Lugo can take you there and back. Speaking of which…..Lugo?!" He shouted out as it had been a little since he sent for him.
"Sorry boss. I got caught up talking to Bishop." The mouse apologized as he came back into the room with the laptop in his hands. After he handed it over to Lane, he was urged by the fox.
"Oh since you brought him up Lugo, can you please tell him to check on those leads I had Raskel on?" She hasn't called in for a few hours and I'm getting worried.
"Yes sir. Right away." Lugo replied as he smiled one more time at me as Lane was already busy locating my contract.
"How much are they asking for me?" I had to ask the man as it was clear my dad really wanted me dead. After finding my answer, he instead pushed the laptop over towards me to urge.
"See for yourself."
My eyes rested on a number that barely resembled my dad's, but it was more than I thought Zandro could post. My contract was open and right now I stood at fifty million. Now that was an accomplishment to myself, but I knew the facts. I'd have a fuck ton of people looking for my mask. A number that high; I can expect high schoolers to take advantage of me if I'm slacking. Looking over at Lane, he nodded and asked me.
"You do understand just how much money that is? The M.E.A.F posts contracts all the time, but it's all minor shit. For them to put up fifty million for one contractor really is saying just how badly you alone are fucking them. I don't know your skills in person for myself, but they wouldn't put up that much money if they weren't seriously the best around. Tika isn't even that high. She's got maybe ten if I recall? You really need to be careful from this point going forward because if anyone has a clue your the face behind the mask you'll never sleep tightly again. My advice? Keep that mask of yours hidden when you're not doing something and never take it off when you do."
"I'm ahead of you on that one. I take my work very seriously. I wouldn't let my face slip. You don't have to worry. Just let me worry about the network and my contract. Thank you though for bringing this to my attention."
"Of course." He nodded back as I handed him back the laptop. I was gonna read over everything they posted at some point, but for now I had to focus on why I was here. So with not much more to do I asked him again.
"Now should I wait on Lugo?"
"He'll be back in a minute. Lugo may be slow sometimes, but he's never failed to show when I needed him. Until he gets back though, are there any more questions you need to ask?"
Looking him right back in his eyes I replied.
"Actually I have two, but I'd rather discuss them over dinner."
"Give me one at least." He urged me back now as I just decided to voice my curiosity.
"I'd actually like to know more about you and how you and Riley got this operation set up. From the looks of it you're clearly very successful and somehow you have no enemies. Not even G.U.N. You're a public figure in these parts of the world and I just wanna know how you do it is all?"
"Okay well shit that's an involved question with a lot of levels of detail to go over. That might be best to save for later; when time isn't against us. Is your other question as hard to answer as that one is?" He asked me back as I took a shot by replying to the man.
"I need some help finding a few things. I could go look for myself, but I wouldn't know where to start. And since you basically have sight on everything there is leaving China, I was wondering if by chance you can track down some viper venom for me. I'd prefer the ingredients over processed venom, but I can work with either."
Curious now for himself as to why I'd ask for such a thing, he questioned.
"For what purpose? Are you a user? It would explain a few things."
Flashing him my red eyes, I replied back.
"I'm a perfect user. But I'm a scientist before a killer and before I got dragged into this life I was working on perfecting the formula."
"Perfecting it how?" Lane now asked which is where I had to consider letting him in on what I had planned for the drug itself. Seeing as this was my family hearing me out and considering I had no urges to hide this, I came out and said what I knew would only cause more problems for myself.
"Do you know how being a user works? The process you go through? The odds of survival? The odds of being perfect like me?"
"Less than two percent." Lane answered back confidently.
"Then I'm sure you know how sought after perfect users are. What if I told you I found a way to make viper venom into the ultimate enhancer? My version can make anyone into a perfect user without the fear of dying if your body rejects it and I want to work on perfecting that, but I need the drugs necessary to brew it."
His eyes changed when I said that and with a slight giggle he questioned.
"You can make a drug that can turn anyone into a perfect killer?"
"I swear to you. Help me get what I need and I can prove it to you." I replied back with as I was certain he didn't believe me. However Lane was noticing how serious I was now looking at him and quickly went to defend himself.
"It's not that I don't believe you, it's just a big claim considering scientists worldwide have been trying to achieve that such thing. But I'm willing to take a gamble. I didn't get to where I am now by playing safe. I'll get you what you need."
"Really? Thank you."
"If everything you claim is true Anpu, do you understand just how monumental that is? G.U.N would give you a fucking fortune for it. Assuming you were on more friendly terms. But Riley would most certainly want to see the results for herself. Assuming you are telling me the truth and you're confident in your statement." He again said to me which made me roll my eyes and shout.
"I know it will work!" Lane went silent as I growled a little before calming myself back down a moment later.
Lugo came back into the room just as Lane was about to say something else, but before he could I asked the mouse instead.
"Lane said you can take me to Fort Lugo. Can we go now? I have to get started." Slightly confused, he replied.
"Ahhh yes ma'am. Follow me back outside."
Raptor's POV, Iraq, the next morning.
"Where is she?" I asked Yoga as it was strange not seeing my daughter first thing in the morning. She would always be waiting in my office with Yoga, but today she wasn't and the ferret looked just as confused as he replied.
"I have no idea. I haven't seen her. Last time I did was when you went to bed. It was like nine at night so she should have gotten some good sleep."
"Go ask around. See if the entrance staff saw her come in today."
"Yes sir." Yoga replied as he left my side.
Taking a seat behind my desk, I went to look into some paperwork I hadn't yet been through.
Maggie's POV, The prior night, Ron's bar.
"What was I gonna do?" I asked myself as I drank my second beer since getting in here. The bar was barren. Apart from me there were two others and one of them was the bartender who was friends with my dad. The second was some normal looking dude. Just a basic looking white human who shot me a look from time to time as my eyes darted around the room. Taking the last of my beer down, I let out a small sigh before starting to think about my situation again.
Everything was just so stressful right now with how active my dad has become. Despite constant rules and regulations, we broke nearly all of them and that put me in a place I thought I was ready for. I wasn't even sure if I was ready to be a guard, let alone put on active duty. I wasn't ready to be out there fighting. Not yet anyway. It's not like I ever had to hurt anyone before. Especially killing. I can't imagine that. How do people do it? I asked myself as I was about to order another drink.
With my head a little cloudy, I hadn't noticed someone else had walked into the bar. Not until I heard them shout at me.
"Hey! Bitch!" Jumping in place, I panicked and turned to find the same soldier back from the capital who I had beaten up in the mess hall brawl. He looked pissed to see me here and I was unsure of what to do. All I knew was that he already seemed drunk to begin with to come stumbling in here like this. Pointing directly at me, he asked.
"What the fuck are you doing here?! Don't you have to be by your dad's side back at the capital?!"
"Relax man. I'm not here to cause any problems. I just want to drink in peace." I informed him as he decided to approach me now. I turned in my seat to face him and at first I thought he was gonna say something, but I had another thing coming when he swung instead.
Hitting me right in my face, I fell out of my seat and that's when the bear behind the counter showed his true colors. Running out from behind the counter, he charged the man along with that human who sat a few tables back. Together they fought back and once it became clear that the bear needed no help; I was instead comforted by the human who immediately got down to help me. That punch knocked me out and without a doubt I wasn't anywhere ready to get up after receiving it.
"Are you okay?" He asked me as I could taste some blood in my mouth. Stumbling over to my side, I replied while looking up at his two brown eyes.
"I think so."
"Here take this." He urged me as he handed me a nearby napkin. As I went to wipe my mouth he also helped me onto my butt and soon got me over to his table where he got me down on the benches.
"Who was that guy?" He then asked me as I was still hearing the fight going on in the background. When I looked back to see the bear throwing the man down the street, I replied back nervously.
"Some asshole who has a problem with me at work."
"Where do you work that you have soldiers coming after you?"
Chuckling a little I replied back.
"I'm in the military."
"Wow. Thank you for your service. Can I buy you a drink?" The human then asked as I contemplated saying no, but after taking that beating I now had another reason to indulge.
"Thank you. What's your name?" I soon asked him back as he smiled and replied.
"My name is Drake. You?"
"Maggie Voltz." I replied which in turn made him question.
"Voltz? Like Raptor Voltz? Are you related?"
"I'm one of his kids. Adopted, but still. I think it counts at this point."
"Hahah." He laughed as the bartender finally came rushing back in to see me now.
"Are you okay? I threw his miserable ass in a dumpster. How fucking dare he come in here and lay hands on you. I should have fucking killed him."
"I'm fine now, yes. Thank you so much for stepping in to help. I didn't expect any of this to happen." I replied while Drake asked the bear.
"Can I order her another round?"
"Yeah I'll be right back. Are you sure you're okay hun?" I was again asked as I nodded my head rapidly.
The bear went back to the counter to get me another beer and once it got back to our table I was asked by Drake.
"What's he like? Your dad? Has he known you most of your life?"
"Yeah pretty much." I replied as Drake grabbed my bottle to pop off the top for me. His hand cupped the whole cap and at first I wondered if he was gonna do it barehanded, but he soon cracked it using the table. Handing it back to me he said with a smile.
"There you are."
"Thank you." I now blushed as he decided to ask me.
"So your dad, what's he like?"
Taking a few gulps of my drink down, I swallowed then replied back nicely.
"He's great. He's always treated me as one of his kids. Even when I was just a pup. Not to mention he was kinda my hero growing up. He's about what you would expect him to be. A caring guy. He has his issues, but so does everyone. You know?" I now asked him as I drank some more. After a few sips I began to feel lightheaded. Drake didn't notice and I wanted it to stay that way. Drinking his own beer, he looked at me soon enough to ask.
"Are you sure you're okay? You don't look that good."
"I'm fine…..just exhausted from….everything." I was starting to drift and I didn't know why. What was going on? Am I this drunk? Starting to fall into darkness, I fell down onto the table and shut my eyes as I heard Drake shout.
"Hey! What's wrong?! Hey!"
Yoga's POV, Current day.
"Haven't seen her man. Check with the front gate. Maybe she went out after her shift?" Looking the officer in the eyes I questioned.
"Are all of your men sure? She's never missed a day."
Everyone shook their heads as I let out a sigh and proceeded to run outside to check with the gate detail. Everyone there was unaware of what happened until the officer in charge told me confidently.
"Maggie right? Yeah she left the perimeter around twenty one hundred."
"Any clue where she went?" I asked him now as I finally had a lead. However, most of my confidence died off when he replied.
"No clue. She went west onto main street. Drove out in a black coupe."
"Fuck man." I groaned as I heard from my radio.
"Come back inside Yoga. We got something." Unable to do much else I walked back inside and found Raptor and Zeta at the top of the stairs. The moment I was in sight Zeta said to me.
"She went out drinking last night at Ron's. She was feeling stressed and wanted the night to herself."
"Have you tried to call her?" I asked Zeta which earned me a shake of her head.
"Do you want me to head to Ron's? Ask around?"
"She's stressed Raptor. She probably went back to her dad's and slept in. I know what she does is hard and she's expected to be here everyday like Yoga is, but give her a break. Let her breathe. I'll call her in a little, give her time to sleep." Zeta urged the man as I was confident she had a big point. Maggie has been showing signs of stress and I knew why. This job was a lot. I just wish I could not show up for work one day and have my boss understand that all I needed was a good day to sleep in.
Raptor soon agreed and looked back at me to wonder.
"Think you can solo it again?"
"Heh, of course. I can do anything." I informed him as it was clear this was my life for today. Hopefully Maggie rests up.
Maggie's POV, A few hours later.
When I came through I couldn't feel the rest of my body. My vision was blurry and my head felt light. I couldn't move and in confusion I began to try and move my head. I could barely turn it. What's happening to me? I asked myself as I turned just enough to hear something moving close to my neck. I tried to raise my hands to see what it was, but I couldn't lift it above my waist.
It was dark and I could smell moisture. Like I was in a basement or something. Unable to see in the dark, I decided to try and scream for help, but my vocal cords were unable to respond. Was I really paralyzed? My heart began to run and in a panic I tried to force myself to move, but I soon realized I was tied down. I could hear a chain around my neck.
"You awake?" I jumped in place to the sound of someone's voice and a second later I was hit with light. The room went up and in a few seconds my eyes adjusted to find that human from the bar standing at the top of a set of stairs with two needles in his hands and a smile warmly wrapped around his face. I tried to move my arms again and he noticed that and gave me a second to try. After I failed to lift my arms up again he informed me while walking down the steps.
"Suxamethonium. You won't be able to move more than a few inches at best and that's only because the last dose is running out."
In confusion I looked at the man and asked him despite my condition.
"Why?"
"Strong will if you're able to speak." He admitted towards me as he knelt down right next to me to grab my left arm. I went to try and pull back, but my body couldn't fucking move! With my eyes watching the needle as he stuck it in my arm, I tried to scream but that only made him laugh and urge me.
"Let it out baby. Give it another thirty minutes now and you'll be back to feeling nothing. I swear."
Placing one of his hands on my face, he whispered.
"Shhhh….it's okay. Look at you….so beautiful. When I saw you at the bar I just knew we'd be right for each other. I never had a wife, you see? But I always wanted it to be with a wolf like yourself. What's better is your actual royalty princess. You're my princess, you hear me?" I started to cry profusely as his hands ran down my body. He grabbed my breasts and that's when I noticed I was pretty much naked here on the floor. Running his hands down till they were between my legs, he whispered.
"Shhh baby. I'm gonna take good care of you. I'm a doctor. I won't let anything bad happen to you."
I could feel everything he was doing and with my eyes cloudy from the tears, I panicked when I saw another needle coming up to my arm. I tried to scream but Drake knew I couldn't and just took pleasure in seeing me try anyway. He waited until I gave up hoping for help to come and when I did he whispered to me with the needle in hand.
"PG 600. You know what that is?" I didn't and after a second I was told my fate.
"It's a drug commonly given to canines like yourself. It helps with…..inducing your heat cycle. You're only twenty five right? So young and I bet you have no issues getting there on your own, but with this we'll get you riled up early and for a much longer time. This should make it so you're aching around the clock. Isn't that great, baby?" He asked me as I felt the needle stick through my skin. Letting out another sad attempt at screaming he urged me.
"I was gonna wait until you were calm, but seeing you like this is really fucking hot. You probably can't wait any longer I know. Here." His hands went up to the wall and a second later I felt the tension on my neck give and I fell onto the floor sobbing. My body could feel the drugs working its way through me and a strange sense of a familiar heat began to cloud my head.
"No!" I managed to scream as I felt one of his hands grab me by the back of my neck. Pinning me to the floor he whispered.
"Shhhhh it's okay. You're gonna love it. It's a hard step I know, but we're gonna be lovers."
There wasn't any way in hell this was happening to me. I refused to believe that I was in this situation. Where is everyone? Dad? Yoga? I was already in the position he wanted me to be in and with the drugs making me unable to move, I watched in horror as he got undressed. With his dick coming out, he whispered to me with a smile.
"You're gonna love it baby. Here, let me help you." He bent me down the way he sickly wanted me to bend and with my body his toy; I had no other reality to believe in. He was gonna rape me and I couldn't do anything. I want my dad.
"God you have such a wonderful body. Look at that pussy. You're gonna be my good girl Maggie. Just wait. Once I've trained you enough you won't even need the drugs. Yeah I'm gonna break you. Forget who you were and embrace what you were meant to be…..my wife."
I widened my eyes when all the sudden I felt him penetrate me. Instantly I began to scream and cry in agony. It was so painful. After a few seconds of fanatic thrusting he looked down at me to ask.
"You're so tight, baby. Was this your first time?"
I wasn't gonna get out of here. No one knew where I was. The only person who could help me was my dad. Where was he? He had to be worried. He would be worried and then he'd come save me. He had to. Please god.
"The PG 600 will take a little bit longer to kick in baby, but you shouldn't have any trouble adjusting. Your body will crave me. It's gonna want me."
Keeping one hand on my head to keep me pinned down, he soon realized I had given up. I wasn't gonna move anymore. I couldn't. I couldn't even feel anything other than heat.
"I wonder how many times it'll take to give you some puppies? What do you think, baby? I've always wanted some kids. Don't you?"
When he said that I felt my entire world come crumbling down. I panicked and managed to send my left foot back at him. It was barely enough to hurt him and that made him start laughing at me harder.
"Stop!" I begged him as he leaned back in to punch me right in the right side of my face. When my head hit the ground I felt the lights go out again. I could still feel him inside me as I passed out.
Sam's POV, Fort Belco, 9:00pm.
By normal means this would have been a really tough mission to pull off solo, but thanks to the gods who were on my side; I was in and out before anyone could know anything better.
The crate was locked down by so much security it would make getting this out nearly impossible. Yet the designers weren't expecting someone to come along who could just poof it away. The case itself was the size of a small briefcase, but it was solid metal and marked with clear signs that it was radioactive and hazardous.
Plan was to get away from the fort for now. Ever since I walked out of there I felt like the place could blow up. How long would it take them to realize it was gone? Using all my energy to keep myself and the crate hidden from mortal eyes, I made my way to the pickup point. Lane had people waiting to extract the crate out of the country at a warehouse just west of the fort. I told them I'd be coming about an hour ago. Hopefully that would be enough time for them to be ready to move.
Jumping to the location, I sensed my way throughout the building just to make sure nothing was off before going in. I could pick up Lugo and two others, so upon entering I already knew what to expect. With their backs towards me, I used my left hand to knock on the nearby wall. They all jumped and turned with guns at the ready, but the second they saw who it was standing in front of them they panicked and moved in. Lugo was the first to ask me in said panic.
"How did you get this? Did anyone see you?"
"No, absolutely not." I replied as his friends took the case from my hands and began to take it back to a van they had ready to go. Looking at Lugo I asked him.
"So what now?"
"Assuming you got out of there clean we should be able to head right back after they get this out of here. Raskel, please handle this with the utmost care and Bishop please drive slow. You get pulled over with this in the back and you might as well just detonate it."
Bishop looked like a type of hawk while Raskel was a red ferret. I didn't get to really hear anything from them because before I knew it they were already leaving with the nuke. Left alone with Lugo, the mouse asked me nervously still from the pressure of tonight.
"Did you have to hurt anyone while you were there?" Shaking my head I replied.
"No. No one was hurt. They won't know what happened until they get to where they're going. Trust me, we're good. Let's get out of here though, I don't wanna hang around here much longer."
"Yes, you're right. Let's get back to the main office. Can you do me a favor and call Lane and tell him everything is done?"
"Yeah." I now sighed as I followed him out back to his car. Once in it, I took off my mask and just took a second to wipe my face. During which the mouse looked over at me to wonder.
"Are you planning on staying in Beijing for a while longer?"
Thinking it over, I nodded and replied.
"Just for a little. I have some more business with Lane and I promised him dinner. After what we did tonight I'd say we earned it."
Yoga's POV, The next morning, Iraq.
I walked into Raptor's office for the second time to find his daughter not at his side. Showing the first sign of worry, I asked the hedgehog as he looked over some of his paperwork for the day.
"Where is she?"
"Zeta tried calling her three times last night and we got nothing back but her voicemail. So I sent Zeta over to check on her." I told her to call me when she did.
"Nah man something's not right." I informed him that this was not normal for Maggie of all people to do. After telling him how I felt about this, he nodded his head and replied.
"I know. I agree with you that this isn't like her, but Zeta is right. She's overworked and I'm hoping she's just having a small breakdown. If she is, it's nothing Zeta can't help her through."
"Okay, but what if it's not? I mean she went out drinking by herself. What if she got into trouble?"
Looking me right in my eyes he replied back confidently.
"She went to Ron's to drink Yoga. If she did run into trouble then Ron himself would have already called."
"Yeah but depending on the hour man, Ron might have been in bed. Sure his son can run the place, but he doesn't know Maggie like that. He sure as shit doesn't have your personal line." I could tell Raptor didn't want to think about this. I didn't want to think about this either but someone had to say something. Tapping his pen on the top of the desk, he let out a sigh.
"I'm just saying what needs to be said sir. You know I'm not normally the negative type, but something isn't adding up. Maggie may be stressed but she's not a no call no show type of woman. If Zeta comes back with nothing then I think we might have to consider bringing in a search team."
"If Zeta comes back empty handed Yoga then you can go check Ron's and ask around on my behalf. Okay?"
"I thought you'd be more worried." I admitted to him openly which is when his voice turned around in tone.
"Hold on for a second there Yoga, but don't get my intentions mixed up. Maggie is my blood. If she's in trouble I'd drop everything to help her, but I have the same opinion as you. Maggie isn't a no call no show type of woman. She's probably figuring things out on her own; the way they need to be handled. She's just distracted. Have faith in my wife and you'll see that I'm right."
I had to bite my lip on this one. Something just felt off and it shocked me that he of all people couldn't feel it.
Maggie's POV, A few hours later.
"Hey? Honey, are you awake?" I heard him ask from the top of the steps.
I couldn't feel any part of my body anymore. Sometimes I'd move but I didn't know it. It would only be a few inches at best, but what mattered anymore? I had to wonder as the only thing I could move were my eyes. I had a lot of swelling in my right eye from his beatings, but he swears it was out of love for me. I didn't know how to react or even begin to feel about the place I found myself in. This was hell. It had to be.
Making his way down the stairs with another dose at the ready for me, I used all the might I had left to beg. My voice came out as a whimper and I saw his creepy smile come back the moment I did.
"Please…..stop."
Getting down next to me as I hung from my neck against the wall, I watched defenseless as he stuck me again with the needle.
"Shhh it's okay. I know it's hard to see, but I know this is what you need. Soon you won't even be who you once were. You'll be perfect. Now just relax. Breathe." He urged me as he put a hand on my leg.
He was looking me up and down and in this condition I was an awful mess. My body couldn't even control its own bladder. I'd been down here laying in my own filth for the last few hours since he stopped raping me. The drugs he gave me did exactly what he wanted them to do. I could feel the effects mostly in my mind, but I was in heat no less.
"Don't worry. We're gonna get you cleaned up. I know I've let you go. I'm sorry about that. I'll get better. I promise. Now come on, let's get you out of that collar."
Undoing my restraints, I fell sideways and into his arms. He managed to pick me up and carry me upstairs where I now saw the rest of what life had to offer. The most important was freedom. I saw the front door and any chance of escape leave; as he carried me upstairs and to his bathroom where he already had a bath prepared for me. Laying me down in the tub, he said to me softly.
"Nice and warm for you honey. You just lay there and relax. I'm gonna go get you some new clothes."
He got up to leave and now a new fear took over. I couldn't control my body. If I accidentally slid to either side I'd start drowning in this tub. I prayed he'd come back faster despite all that he's done and thankfully he did. Coming in with nothing more than a towel and a pair of panties. Putting it all down on the sink next to him he asked me curiously.
"Are you hungry?"
I was, but with no way to answer he sighed and replied.
"No? That's fine. You gotta watch how much you eat these days anyhow. Did you know that since the end of the rebellion wars; Iraq has become a melting pot of so many good tastes? You can find anything here."
My worst fears came to reality when all the sudden I felt my balance slip. My whole body fell under the water and all I could do was blow and gag on water until he noticed.
"Oh! You gotta be careful baby!" I heard him say to me as I felt his hand grab me by the hair. Holding it in his grip, he looked it over very closely before asking me.
"You'd look so much cuter with a shorter cut. Can I?" He just smiled as I physically couldn't respond. So he took that as a good sign and reached over for a nearby pair of scissors. Holding me in place by my hair, I watched nervously as he began to cut most of it off. My hair went down to my shoulders normally, but now I was just barely able to do a ponytail. Once he was satisfied, he looked me back in my eyes to wonder.
"Like it?"
Reaching back over to fetch a small makeup mirror, he inevitably put it in front of my face for me to see. All I saw was my condition. I was basically a sex doll. A fucking toy. A broken fucking toy.
"Do you like it?" He again asked as I now just looked back at him. That somehow triggered his anger and without even saying another word I caught another right hand to my face. He hit me right in the same place and with a small scream of pain leaving my panicked body, I listened close as he growled.
"You answer me when I ask you a question? Do you hear me?"
I couldn't do anything other than stare and draw tears as he snapped and this time slapped me across the face.
"Answer me!" He ordered with a red face and another growl as I physically couldn't do it even if I wanted to and right now I really wanted to. I wanted him to stop.
Just as I thought I was about to get hit again, I felt my heart jump out of my chest when suddenly the doorbell rang from downstairs. Drake looked back at the hallway and asked himself.
"Now who could that be?" He looked back at me to smile and upon standing back up he said to me softly while taking a moment to readjust where my head was resting.
"I'm gonna go see who that is honey. Don't worry about anything. Just enjoy your bath and I'll be back once I'm done. Okay?"
I wanted to scream. I tried so hard to scream to whoever was waiting down there in the hopes that they could hear me, but the drugs were already kicking in. I couldn't even move my mouth at this point as I watched him shut the door behind him.
"Please god help me."
Yoga's POV.
Doing a housecall was old fashioned and reminded me of what cops would be doing if this kind of thing ended up on their desks, but here I was nonetheless. I was wearing my normal M.E.A.F uniform and had two other soldiers with me just in case of anything. They stayed by the truck as I waited for the homeowner.
"Come on." I whispered to myself as I rang the doorbell one more time. A few seconds later I heard from within.
"Hold on a second! I'm coming!"
I got myself ready and took a breath as I heard the door unlock. Once open I stood face to face with a white human male. He looked just like how he was described by Ron's son. Offering him my right hand, I introduced myself.
"Sorry to bother you like this sir, but I'm in need of some help. I'm looking for someone and you might have been the last person she's had contact with." He shook my hand and once he had I let go and reached into my pocket to show him the picture of Maggie I had. He gave the image a good look before replying.
"Oh yes! I remember her! Maggie, right? President Voltz's adopted daughter. Yeah I met her at Ron's a night or two ago."
"Do you mind if I come inside and ask you a few questions? It'll only take a few minutes." I asked him as he was clearly ready to help in any way he could. He looked right at me with a big smile and swung his door wide open for me.
"Of course! Please, be my guest. My name is Drake by the way. Drake Celvonton."
"Yoga." I replied back as I walked inside the house to begin looking around at the environment.
"Beautiful interior." I admitted as he shut the door behind me.
"Thank you. It's been in the family for generations. I got handed the deed when my mother passed earlier last year."
"I'm sorry for your loss." I informed him as I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.
"Thank you, but I'm sure you could care less about that right now. Please sit somewhere. Can I get you a water?"
"Sure." I muttered back as I watched him go to the kitchen. Curious enough I began to wander the living room. This guy was clearly smarter than me, because he had three degrees hanging just over his mantle.
Slowly making my way to the stairs, I stopped at the first step to ask the man.
"Anyone else live here with you?"
Rushing back to me with the water in hand, he replied.
"Just my wife. She's upstairs getting a bath. Should I fetch her?"
"No, that's not necessary. No reason to get her stressed about this." Making my way back to the couch, I sat down and listened as I was soon asked.
"So what seems to be the issue? Is she just missing?" Nodding my head I continued the conversation by stating.
"It would appear so. She was last seen at Ron's according to the bartender I spoke to a few hours ago. That's what led me here with my friends. I was told she was attacked and you were one of the people who stepped in. Can you describe what happened? Did you talk to her?" Sitting across from me he replied calmly.
"Well I was out drinking that night. I went to Ron's because it's local and I like the lack of people on weekends. It's never too crowded. But anyway she came in around eight I think. I had been there since seven. Had no intention of talking to her because she seemed so stressed, but another man showed up not too long after. I didn't get his name, but he clearly had an issue with her. I mean he came right in and just punched her in the face. I couldn't stand by and nor could the bear. He threw the man out. I just made sure she got back on her feet. We started to talk then and we introduced ourselves."
"I was told she passed out and you went to rush her to a hospital, but we never got any messages that one of our own had been hurt. What happened when you left the bar?" I asked him as it was clear something didn't add up. Giving me his complete attention by maintaining eye contact, he replied back casually.
"She woke up not long after I got us on the road. Begged me to drop her off at her house and said she was fine. She showed incredible resolve and at the time I didn't see any reason to take her to the hospital at that point, so I listened and took her back to her home."
"And where is that?" I now asked him.
"I believe she lived on…..forty third just outside of flowertown. I remember the place. Small little condominium."
He knew her address so he clearly dropped her off. Nodding my head slowly I then wondered.
"Did you help her inside? Did she say anything?"
"I helped her to the door, but didn't go inside. She thanked me profusely and gave me a small hug for the ride. But I'm afraid that's the last time I saw her."
"Hmmm." I groaned to myself as I questioned a lot of things now. Unsure of where to go from here, I sat there blankly as I was soon asked a question by the man.
"Did anything become of the man who assaulted her at the bar?"
"He admitted to it when we confronted him. He was discharged because it was his second offense."
"Oh jeez. If your friend went missing you may want to look at him some more. He clearly did not like her." He said to me as I went to ask one last question.
"Do you remember anything else? Anything that could help give me a clue?"
"I'm sorry. I don't think so. I told you everything."
I nodded and proceeded to stand back up with my new bottle of water. Offering the man my hand, I said to him now that this meeting was over.
"I'm sorry to bother you again like this. If I have any other questions in the future; can I contact you?"
"Of course." He replied as I decided to hand him my card.
"If you remember anything else, please call."
"I shall." He informed me as I went to leave.
For a moment I looked back up the stairs and for some reason I got a weird feeling from it. I had no reason to pressure this however. It was clear this guy was innocent and maybe he was right about looking into that trooper some more. If he really was set on attacking Maggie then who's to say he wouldn't have tried something worse? Especially after a discharge.
Walking back out into the sun, I looked over at my two friends who looked to be talking to a group of civilians a few doors down. Making my way over, I was soon face to face with an elderly black crow and her two sons who looked around thirty or forty themselves.
"What's going on here?" I asked my buddies as one of the sons jumped in to answer that question for me.
"It's nothing sir. Our mother is just distracting your friends from their duty. She likes to talk."
Slapping him in the side, his mom replied back sternly.
"Why are you talking to him like I'm not here? I'm not crazy Ben. I know what I saw."
"Mom, you can barely see the TV when it's on. Don't waste their time with your stories." She was then urged by her other son.
I chuckled from the small family ordeal, but looked back when I heard the radio in our truck begin to go off. Looking back at my friends, I urged them both.
"We need to get heading back. We're already running late." They agreed and said their goodbyes as I was soon next in line. Offering the old woman my hand I said to her with a smile.
"I'm sorry, but we have to get going. Thank you."
"No, we're sorry and you're welcome." Ben replied for his mother as I looked at him to shake his hand as well. Once I was done I went back to the truck and took another look back at them. For some reason everything felt a tad off. It had to be me. I said to myself as I decided to get in the truck.
Sam's POV, One week later, Beijing.
"Thank you again for staying with us and helping out Anpu." Lane said to me with a heartwarming smile as he gave me a small hug before proceeding to shout.
"Oh! By the way, I managed to get what you were looking for."
"Really? How?" I asked him.
"Don't worry about how. It's my job to get the family what they need and I owe you like I said. Consider us even. It's all back at base waiting for you on your cot."
"Thank you." I said to him now as he went on to ask me calmly.
"Did you talk to Riley at all?"
"She wants me to head back to Iran. I'd assume you knew that of course considering you sent everything there already." I chuckled now which is when he told me in more detail as to why I actually was going back there so soon.
"Definitely, but you were requested by Zeak. He wants your help with the…..you know."
"What? Seriously?" I questioned as I was genuinely shocked he would even consider asking for my help with such a project.
"Seems like it. Best of luck to you from this point on Anpu. I hope I get to work with you again soon and if I ever need someone to steal something you'll be the first one I call. Hahah!"
I was genuinely looking forward to getting back to Iran now. The chance to work on a nuke? God I couldn't ask for something better to test my skills. Plus I had venom waiting for me to play with. I could finally spend my time focusing on that instead of killing and stealing. It was like a breath of fresh air.
