Love Struck Eternal

Chapter 72 - The truth.

Sam's POV.

"I've known a lot of you since I first got here and I can say without a doubt that you've given me what I needed to enjoy life. Even if what we do is considered wrong by people like G.U.N or the M.E.A.F. You've given me purpose and love and I can't thank you enough for that, but I've been lying and leading you astray from who I am and my past. I've lied to cover a lot. I've lied to you." I directed to Tika.

"I've lied to you." My gaze then found itself on Ace who seemed more concerned than anything for what was about to be said.

"I've lied to everyone I think up till now. I've lied about who I am. I'm not Anpu. I'm just not. Anpu is just a persona. It's who I was as a contractor and the story that came with that also came with you. A story I've been riding on since I ran away from my old life. I never grew up in the states. My parents aren't dead and I'm not just some odd case. Who I am conflicts with everything we're working to achieve, but I can't hide this anymore. My real name is Sam. Short for Samantha. And my last name is Voltz. Daughter of Raptor Voltz. President and commander of the M.E.A.F in the middle east."

The outbursts that followed were mixtures of complete shock and disbelief. Tika with wide eyes stared a hole into me as she asked in almost fear.

"You're his daughter?" I nodded in an embarrassed way as Gwent laughed out loud.

"What the fuck?! Yo! This is crazy!" The room then broke out into chaos among the lowers as my eyes soon found Byron's. He was shaking and in just as much shock as one could be without dying. I had to look away however as things seemed unfixable for a moment. Riley however had other plans and raised her voice to a snarl while yelling out.

"What did I just fucking say!? Shut the fuck up! All of you!"

The room shut down instantly, but the other uppers were still allowed their freedom. Lane was the first to question.

"Are you serious Riley? What the fuck is going on?" Then Brecken came in to wonder.

"Has this been confirmed?" Riley reached out for me and I knew what she wanted so I went into my pockets to pull out my ids. She took them and was insistent to hand them over to the man as he seemed surprised at first to receive anything just now that was physical.

"Run them if you want, but they're legit. She's who she says she is and she's not done talking. All of you need to keep quiet and this is the last time I'm asking nicely. Next one to say anything without permission from her is going to get shot. Ask me if I'm joking?" She urged them as she reached behind her to grab onto an M9 she had on the counter. The room was dead quiet, but I still got the attention as Riley wanted to be sure no one would speak now. Waiting nearly twenty seconds just to demonstrate her power, she slowly looked back at me to urge.

"Start from the beginning. No one is going to interrupt you."

"Thanks." I now nearly mumbled as I had to find my balls again to speak with any sort of confidence.

"Almost two years ago now I discovered I was a feral user. Viper venom can sometimes get passed down through the family. Both my mother and father are perfect users, so it made sense that it got passed down to me, but I wasn't able to stay in control. My emotions drove me feral and like a stupid kid I rushed to find a cure. Any cure. Being close with the M.E.A.F meant I had access to anything I needed when it came to my life. My dad always made sure of that, but this time he made the choice for me. The M.E.A.F invented some suppressants for ferals, but it wasn't guaranteed to work. In fact, they didn't know anything about them apart from what they could do." I claimed as I could feel myself sweating as I tried my best to keep going.

"The other option was a surgery that could help me, but chances are I would die on the table. My father has always been protective and if dying was on the table he would refute. Did so to the point where I didn't get a say in my future. I was ready to die on that table to be free of the venom's hold and he forbade it." I explained as my eyes slowly looked across everyone as I did. Riley was happy I had started and urged me to continue. So that's what I did.

"So I grew to hate him for that and we fought. He hit me a few times and I hit him, but ultimately I ran away from home, but not before taking action to solve my problem for myself. If my dad and the M.E.A.F couldn't be trusted to get results then I'd have to make them. So I befriended a security officer who I managed to convince to leave the middle east with me. At the time I wasn't trained to fight and I was scared. He was going to be my protector, but I needed more. It's going to sound arrogant, but I knew back then what I was capable of doing if given a chance. So I also convinced him to steal everything the M.E.A.F had on viper venom research and development. I learned everything I needed to fix myself and after a long time experimenting I came up with the cure. By then however my parents figured out what happened and sent one of my uncles after me. He talked me into giving him back the hardware and I assume my dad made that all disappear."

My attention was grabbed as Ace lifted up his hand. Looking at the rabbit, I asked him curiously.

"Yes Ace?" The room now looked to him as he asked me a question.

"What happened to this operator you befriended?"

"I killed him. The M.E.A.F might have brushed me off thanks to my dad, but it didn't extend to him. They got the network involved and by then I'd have been exposed to the website. I saw the money as a broke kid in a new place and hoped I'd be strong enough to see it through."

"Where did you move to after leaving home?" Ace then asked as I quickly replied.

"Los Angeles. Once I turned in the contract to the network the man I had the pleasure of working with saw that I was injured and took me to a doctor who worked for the Cora crime family. He patched me up for free and soon I found myself talking to Don Cora himself. He took interest in me for one reason or another and I with him. But I didn't mention before I left home I was stockpiling some money for the trip. To do that I started selling drugs. Weed and coke mostly. I was good at talking to people and no one was going to say a word since I was the president's daughter. I took that gift and began working for him. Even tried my hand at lifting extra profits from the top of his gross income, but he caught on soon enough. I thought we were going to a big deal they set up, but instead it was just a way to get me alone so they could off me and my best friend. A dog named Mocha. She came with me from the middle east. Stayed with me through it all."

"How'd you live?" Riley then asked me from the corner of my eye. Looking right at her, I shrugged my shoulders and answered.

"Luck? They left their marks all over my face. I still have a scar on my back from when I was stabbed. I swore I died right then and there, but I awoke and somehow crawled my way back to life. I wish I hadn't though. That was the lowest I'd ever been in my life. I wanted to kill myself almost every waking moment of the day. I got my best friend killed because I was selfish and thought I knew better. It ate away at me until I couldn't take it any longer."

"So what did you do?" Ace then asked me as it was clear no one else was going to speak apart from them two. Looking among my friends, I replied.

"I seeked revenge. I Joined G.U.N a week later and gave them everything I had in training. I was the best they had ever seen thanks to my cure. My venom made me a killer and they spared no expense when it came to making me the ultimate soldier. Name it and I bet I've been taught it." I urged them as no one did.

"I became a staple to my commanders. When I joined I obviously didn't want them knowing who I really was. So I paid a lot of money to get a fake id, fake background story, fake everything. It got me in their system and that's all I cared about at the time. I wanted everything they could give me. That way the moment I got the chance I'd be going back to LA to see to it that Cora and his entire family burned to the ground. My first leave after training and the results showed a few days later when word reached the public that forty seven people had been killed in a firefight on his property. The attacker? Gone without a trace." I sighed as I took a moment to consider my next sentence or two. Deciding it was best not to sugarcoat this, I just came out with it.

"Needless to say G.U.N was at loss for what had happened to Char and the rest of the people who you all killed in Iran around that time and had begun formulating their own plans for how to get answers. They needed their best at that time and that was me. They set me on this path. Gave me orders to find out anything about you all. They had no answers then and they still don't."

"Help me understand this." Ace urged me as he stepped forward now to greet me from a foot or two out.

"Azerbaijan. When we met, were you already on this mission? This….deep cover operation? How did you find us to begin with? What did they know already? And was your attack on Esteban…was that ran by them at all? Or were you just that cocky back then like you once told me and wanted to test yourself?"

"G.U.N gave me the green light to kill Esteban. I offered up the idea that doing something like that could draw you out from hiding. I wanted you to come find me so I even went out of my way to kill those two other stooges, Roman Petal and Violet. But it wasn't hard to track you. G.U.N managed to find your exit chopper from your attack in Iran and I was sent in solo to track you from the drop sight. I'm a natural tracker and thanks to some genetics my nose can see things my eyes can't. But once I learned you entered into the city I knew it would be impossible to point out where exactly you went. So I asked to go after what I thought would get your attention the quickest. Fucking with your operation seemed the most reasonable." I admitted which made Ace break out into a wide smile and start laughing among a few others. Tika was the first however to speak words.

"Well it sure as hell worked and I'm glad it did, but this needs to be asked. You're a spy. A…rat. We've been living with you for so long I considered that not to be an option, but…..what have you told them?" Riley was quick to add onto the question.

"This is where you need to be thorough. Everything you told them needs to be said right now." Sensing that this was more serious somehow, I replied back in a worried tone of voice.

"Nothing that could interfere with us. I've barely been in contact with my people. The last time I talked to my handler was over six months ago."

"Why so long?" Lane then asked me back in force as I was quick to admit.

"Because I realized what it was I had with you people. Doing what G.U.N asked was the only choice I had at the time. The only thing I cared about back then was figuring out who killed my uncle Char. That and I wanted to get back to being on my own. An operation like this was the perfect chance to get time to myself while bettering my record with the network. Even the network asks me to help them from time to time and they owe me favors. They don't know what I do besides kill bounties. The only one who does is my handler among them who I pay very well to shut up about it. I'm keeping everyone in the dark."

"You used G.U.N to get training you otherwise would never have access to. You learned how to kill to the highest degree and used that knowledge to extract revenge on the mob. If training was your only interest in G.U.N then why not just go AWOL right after finishing your assault? You could have been on your own." Ace had to ask me next as I looked over to him to reply.

"I would have been on the run. G.U.N populates over sixty percent of the world. I go AWOL at my level and they'll have everything and everyone out there looking for my face. I wouldn't be free that way Ace. I'd be hiding and that's not how I planned to spend my life when I considered that option."

"Then why come to us?" Riley questioned now directly as I looked right into her eyes to reply back sadly.

"For answers? To see what it was that was really going on? I had a million questions and despite what everyone may think, I'm not one of the good guys."

Everyone took a moment to shut up as that came out. I had to keep going because my emotions were starting to get the better of me as I yelled at Riley.

"I don't know what my fucking problem is, but I know for a fact that I'm not the same type of person my dad is! I'm not a hero! I'm not someone to look up to! I'm a fucking murderer who enjoys what they do! I enjoy causing chaos and doing things everyone thinks I can't! It's the only reason I worked so hard to cure myself! It's the only reason I can stand here and….fucking cry!"

Tears came to me as I still managed to maintain most of my eye contact with Riley who just looked me over with some consideration.

"The only things I've said to G.U.N during my time here is that you all work together. I told them about the teams and how they were operated, but I never gave them any leads to work with. I haven't told them about this bunker or the nuke or even about what I've done since joining. G.U.N doesn't know that I'm just as much of a terrorist as all of you are! The resort Tika and I invaded? They asked who the man behind the mask was and I made up a lie to cover myself. They'd grill me if they knew just how many people I've gone out of my way to kill. They'd cut me loose or worse and no I don't fucking care which it would have been, but I can't let them know. If they figured out who I really was then my family wouldn't know how to live. My dad alone would go on the warpath to find answers. My mother would be officially broken and the rest of them would disown me. At the time that all mattered to me."

"And knowing all of that, how does that make you feel?" Tika then asked me as I looked at her to consider the answer. I didn't need much time however as I replied to her with a small growl.

"My father beat me. He ran my life for me and for that he can go to fucking hell. I've told him how I've felt. My mother? She broke my heart the last time I saw her and even punched me. Broke my fucking fang!" I shouted as I showed off the damage for a second before going on.

"The rest of my family doesn't matter. They don't care about me. They're all too focused on themselves to ever see what was going on with me. They left me to find my own answers and I've found them with you. With you and with RIley and with everyone I've grown to love. You're all more of a family to me then they ever will hope to become. I've risked my life for all of this! I saved yours!" I shouted now at Tika who just stared into my eyes as I did.

"I saved yours! I earned us an army in Libya! I stole what was needed for your nuke and now I have to stand here and defend myself! I may be a G.U.N operator, but I'm not doing this for them! I'm doing it for all of you! What the fuck do you want from me that I already haven't given?!" I asked at the top of my lungs as I knew my face had grown red from the screaming.

Taking down deep breaths to calm down, I soon registered all the eye contact I was given. Most of them seemed disappointed in themselves as I continued to cry silently among my broken state.

"They don't know anything. I've given them nothing. I swear on my life that I'm telling you guys the truth. I wouldn't be able to cry if I was fucking lying!" I growled as I went on by stating.

"I don't know what else to say." Covering my face up with both hands, I wiped my eyes as best as I could and just waited for someone to say something, but before I heard anything; I felt a hand on my back. Looking over I found Riley standing next to me with a small smile on her face that was full of hope. I widened my eyes as she urged me quietly.

"Stop talking then." I nodded, but kept my eyes on her as she looked towards the uppers to ask.

"Despite what we learned here, Anpu isn't wrong. She's given us a lot and you all know I'm always trying to get two steps ahead. There is a lot we can do with what we know now. Do you all agree?"

Lane looked among his peers who formulated their own answers as his was already cemented by going first. Giving me a smile the man said to Riley confidently.

"It's a shock to all of us and after what happened with Webber I honestly expected her to get buried under our feet, but clearly you're a smart woman Riley and have plans in motion thanks to this. Anpu herself has been nothing but straight with me and she did do what I considered impossible when it came to that nuke. She had no right getting away with it, but here we are. I do believe her as well when it comes to what she has given G.U.N. I might be making a mistake, but I'm willing to do that for this case. She's family and I don't want to see that change." I was stunned with his words as Riley looked at Brecken and Cal. Brecken was first to admit.

"I'm not going to tell you your business Riley. In that regard I agree with Lane, but I don't know Anpu. I only know what I've heard and all of it has been good so far. I'm sure you have some ideas and if you say she's cool after something like this then me and my people will back you as always."

"You know my opinion already Riley." Cal stated which is when she went on to say right after.

"My team is with you as well if this is what you want to do, but we need to do something about getting her away from G.U.N. Or at the least they need to think she's dead or has gone rogue. Personally I won't feel safe until I know that's been done."

"We're gonna figure that out. I promise you guys." Riley informed them as her eyes soon found TIka's. Tika however was still staring at me in shock of learning who I really was and I didn't know what to say to her among the looks I was being given. After a few seconds between us, Riley asked her curiously.

"Tika? What's your take on the situation? A lot rests on your opinion, which I do want to hear. Speak."

I didn't know what she would say, but it didn't look good. At least that's what I thought until she replied back calmly.

"I don't want her touched. I believe her story and I believe what she's told us about her mission. I'm with Cal when it comes to dealing with her ties and I want that to be handled before anything else, but Anpu? Or…..Sam, but you….I still owe you in my mind for what you've done to keep me afloat and above ground, so I'm just gonna take a risk like Lane is."

She approached me and with her hands coming to my sides to grab both of mine, she held me tight and said.

"You're still part of this family. Regardless of your last name. If you're actually serious about embracing this life then I want to be a part of it and I'm sure the rest of the boys do as well. Right guys?" She asked without looking back. I jotted my eyes up to them however and watched as they all replied with heart.

"Yes."

"Of course Tika."

"She's family."

For some reason I looked right at Dusk who this whole time was holding back a firm laugh. Everyone looked at him as he happily replied.

"I fucking knew you were a rat! Hahah! But fuck it if you haven't helped me out since being here. She's like a sister to me now Riley. You can't kill her."

"High praise coming from you Dusk. Don't worry I'm not not going to." Riley firmly claimed back with a chuckle as Tika still held my hands.

"You've earned your place among us. We won't turn our backs now that we know the truth, but consider yourself lucky you're so damn charming. Okay?"

I couldn't be happier as she pulled me into a hug. The boys were happy to see that and once we had released one another Riley went on to say.

"Okay so it's settled. She stays, but we got work to do now to cover our tracks. For now everyone apart from the uppers are dismissed. Ace? Stay though, we have another matter to discuss before leaving this room."

"Yes ma'am." He replied as the room cleared out in a matter of a minute or two. Once the room became silent of footsteps did Riley look to me to say.

"Cal is right. We have to clean up your business with G.U.N before we focus on anything else. This needs to be handled to the letter to not raise any suspicions. I see a few options. We need to either make them think you're dead or we need them to think you've been converted and have gone rogue. The question is gonna be what we think will work out better for us. If she's dead, G.U.N will have to figure out a new way to gather the information they seek. If you go rogue then there is a good chance G.U.N will put you up for contractors and they might even look to send in a user team to handle you. They know what you're capable of. I can't think they'd send grunts to kill their best."

"Riley?" Ace called out which earned him her ears as he went on to state.

"I don't believe her going rogue against the world is a smart idea. She couldn't go anywhere without trouble and that would hinder our operations. Not to mention but I'm going to assume that her father is in the dark about her affiliation to G.U.N. Hell he most likely thinks she's just out there living a normal life. Your paperwork to get here must have been more convincing then god for them not to notice your the M.E.A.F president's only daughter. What last name did you use?" He then asked me.

"Diskov. My mother's maiden name."

"I suppose that makes sense, but for no one to realize is unbelievable. I know it's not common knowledge to know the first lady's maiden, but how can they let that slip the net?"

"I didn't question it." I chuckled back.

"Regardless, Ace is correct. There is more trouble involved if they put her out for a bounty." Lane informed us as we all agreed. Riley nodded her head and began to pace the room as we waited for her plan to come to her. Till then Brecken asked me casually.

"Assuming things go well and we can sell your death. Are you capable of going through with our plans? We intend to kill your father. Potentially your whole family if things come to it. You claim to be against them but to what extent? Could you yourself pull the trigger on them?"

Riley even stopped to look at Brecken as he asked me a question that no one was ready or even able to ask. Now facing the question I knew would come with the truth, I looked back at the snake to reply back calmly.

"I can and I will. I feel no connection to them now that they've betrayed me as parents. If you have your doubts then let me prove it to you." I urged him as Riley now stepped in to urge us both.

"That kind of talk can wait. Brecken? Thank you for asking what we're all wondering, but we will have time to handle that down the road. Sam? For now I need you to think. Could you get in contact with your handler?"

"Easily. I'm sure if I called right now he would answer." I informed her as she then looked at Cal to wonder.

"We're gonna need to make this look very convincing. Cal? Any ideas? You're more familiar with this than I am."

"We need to make sure not to call for a face to face. Doing so after being silent for so long would only spell trouble for her handler. We need to do this indirectly. Say we stage it? Pretend we're looking to send a message and kill her on camera. Send that to G.U.N with a small message and they'll have no choice but to call her operation a failure and label her as KIA. Whoever is in the video needs to be masked and your acting has to be on point." She targeted that to me, at which point I nodded my head and replied.

"I won't have to act if you actually shoot me." Everyone looked at me in confusion as I went on to claim.

"My mask. It's a prototype and has shield tech installed. It can handle a headshot from most calibers. Let me wear it and cover me with a bag or something so no one can see what's under it. Mix that with a small dye pack and the most I should get out of this is a concussion."

"You trust your equipment with your life?" Lane then asked.

"One hundred percent. But they need to believe you really got me under there so have someone rough me up before ending it. I'll scream a little so they can hear my voice."

"What have you been using to contact your handler? A phone?" Ace wondered as I nodded and went into my back pocket to pull out the burner. Tossing it to the rabbit I replied.

"Yeah. Only number in it is his. Why?"

Looking it over, Ace soon turned his attention to Riley.

"Send this with the video and they'll believe it. Write your message on the phone and make it convincing that she got made. Should be more than enough. Give it a little bit of time and have one of our informants check her active status in their databases. Confirm she's been labeled KIA and proceed with whatever plan you have next, Riley. We need to do this. She goes on the wanted list then it'll be safe to assume her father will notice and see that G.U.N was using his daughter for their dirty work. It'll fuck a lot of their relations up, but we could get more out of her position if they just think she's dead for now. They'll move on to their next plan the same day, I'd wager. We could even use her secret life to our advantage later down the line. Regardless, Voltz will be just as pissed when he finds out they had his daughter in their military without anyone noticing."

"Agreed. Let's proceed with our first option for now though. One question for you. Now that we know…would you prefer to still be called Anpu?" Smiling, I replied back confidently.

"Anpu is perfect for now. Assuming this goes well and things work out, I'm sure sooner or later my family will figure it out. When that happens you can just call me by my real name, but for now let's keep this a secret."

"I'll make sure word gets around." Riley informed me as her attention turned back to Ace.

"Now we need to discuss one last thing. Ace? I think it's time we made you an upper. How do the rest of you feel?" Ace widened his eyes but remained calm and collected as his looks flipped among his comrades. They all just nodded their heads once as Riley collected the responses. After everyone had agreed she went on to say.

"Then let's make it official as of today. From this moment going forward Ace you're going to be responsible for your own people. I'll figure out what it is you'll be doing for your first operation, but for now I want you to recruit from our own. Cal will be in charge of finding you a team. For now you'll be allowed to take two members from each of our respected groups to fill in the gaps. Once we get some new blood in we'll discuss your first assignment. Agreed?"

"Yes Riley. Thank you." Ace replied gratefully as she then looked back at me to order.

"Once you're dead you'll continue your work with Zeak and the rest of your team. Cool?"

"I won't make you regret this Riley. I swear it." I told her back as she smiled and waved me off.

"Go and collect your mask. Head to the interrogation room once you have it and we'll come up with a real plan then. Brecken? Grab Dusk and tell him the same thing. He's gonna be our star for this. Cal? Work out the message to send to G.U.N and get a camera rolling. Tika and Lane? Go wait with the rest of the family and once we're finished we'll clean up and come together to plan our next move. We have a lot of options thanks to her coming clean. We need to make sure we play our cards right. Dismissed." She commanded as our circle broke for the first time since the gathering. Tika rubbed my right arm as she walked with me and once we found ourselves out the door she pushed me towards the barracks and into her room. Once there she shut the door behind us and again pushed me but back into her nearby wall.

"You could have fucking told me!" She shouted out with a playful smile as I defended myself by stating back with my hands up.

"Oh Yeah? When? When was there a good enough time to admit something like that to you? You would have killed me."

"Killed you? You're a god you stupid bitch. I wouldn't dare try something like that. I just….you fucking drive me wild sometimes and now that I know your the daughter of one of the world's most influential world leaders I gotta question how this worked out between us. I should hate you. I should slap the shit out of you for not telling me I was sleeping with Raptor Voltz's daughter."

"You can still slap me." I giggled back which is when she did just that and sent my head rolling to the right side with her right hand. I instantly looked right back into her eyes as she proceeded to laugh in my face. A second later she kissed me right on the lips and pushed me back against the wall with all she had. Wiping her mouth off, she ordered me with a smile.

"Now go and do what you gotta to make sure the world thinks you're dead."

"Yes ma'am." I replied back as I walked through her physically to send a wave of chills throughout her body. Tika froze up the moment it happened and by the time I was already back out into the hallway she had reopened the door to look out at me in disbelief.

By the time I got back to the barracks I found everyone who was part of my team waiting and chatting among themselves. However the conversations came to a stop as I entered the line of sight. Slowly I crept to my bunk and reached down for my mask. Once I had it in my right hand, I turned to find Sikes and Byron in my way. I didn't know what to say so I just lowered my head and gently pushed through them.

"Hey? Wait a sec. Can we talk?" Byron asked me as I couldn't bring myself to stop to explain myself to them. I felt horrible lying to all of them to begin with and seeing their faces now made that hit even harder. I didn't know how they actually felt about who I really was now that they knew the truth and even with my powers to figure it out; I refused to do so. I'd rather not think about any of it. I was just grateful to still be allowed to live. If that had gone the other way, I don't think I would have had the heart to kill them all.

I met up with Dusk who was on his way to the brig as well and upon reaching his side I asked him quietly.

"Are you mad?" Chuckling under his breath he replied back.

"Mad? Nah that's just my resting bitch face. I'm actually very happy for once. I can tell everyone again and again that I called it. I knew you weren't just some random stray Ace found. You're too perfect to be legit. Plus you fight like a soldier and considering you never told us how you really learned; I had to make an educated guess at some point. So nah, I'm not mad. Riley has a plan I'm sure and for once I'm trusting her in making the right call here. If you're acting however for some reason then it was damn convincing, but I don't think you are. Why would you lie at this point?" He asked me as we waited for someone to call upon us.

"I don't know how to look at the rest of you though. I wish everything could just go back to how it was, but I know I fucked up. Even if you all trust Riley that much. I still broke a level of trust that can't be repaired." I told him as he sighed.

"Then take some advice after today. Go take time for yourself. Clear your head. No one's gonna lay a hand on you. Family is all we have. Even those of us who make mistakes are protected by the rest." Dusk's voice seemed really sincere as he looked over at me to smile and ask.

"But before you go ahead and do that I need to ask…..how badly do you think I need to hurt you for this to be believable?"

Reaching behind my back for my knife, I handed it to him to reply.

"Pretty badly I think. Don't worry, I can handle the pain so long as you avoid anything fatal. I'd prefer it if you just cut me a few times. Maybe just my arm and leg. But this has to be real Dusk. No holding back in there." Taking my weapon out from my hand the man nodded and looked up as we heard feet coming our way. Riley came out from around the corner to see us waiting.

"Is Cal ready?" She asked us as we both shook our heads out of confusion for the answer to that question. Walking by us and into the room, Riley found Cal setting up a chair for me to sit in, but she also had the camera set and waiting thanks to a small tripod.

"We ready Cal?" She asked again as my nervousness was kicking back up a little.

"Pretty much. Your mask is on the table Dusk. Put that on before we do anything. Anpu? We need a decent runtime so Dusk is gonna have to drag this out a little. Start off slow and ease your way in Dusk. You're trying to send a message to G.U.N. Make sure they know we found out about their little plan and try not to let anything slip. This needs to look real for them to buy it."

Coming up behind me, Riley tapped me on the arm to add.

"And for this to look like the real thing Anpu, Dusk is gonna have to do some damage. Nothing fatal Dusk. Not until you're ready to shoot her. Anpu? Are you sure your mask can take a round this close up?"

"Yeah. I should be good. Just have someone ready to move me if I actually get knocked out from the force."

"Dexter is on his way down as we speak for that same reason. He'll treat your injuries right after we cut the recording. But for the love of god Dusk please avoid any of her arteries. I don't want her bleeding out throughout the take." Riley informed him as the dog nodded and readied my knife in his right hand.

"I'm gonna be real safe Riley. I know what not to hit. She's in good hands. Just move on out of here so I can get into character will ya?" He asked Riley as I took my chance to get in the chair. Cal got to work on tying up my hands and legs behind the seat. As she did, Dusk put my mask over my face and made sure it was nice and snug before whispering to me.

"I want you to know ahead of time that none of this is personal."

"I know. Don't worry. I'll be okay. Just make it look good. Don't hold back just cause your feeling sweet on me." Dusk shot me a playful grin of disbelief as I just smiled back.

"Dusk?" Looking back to find Dexter finally arriving, the man handed over what would be covering up my mask. It was a simple but heavy black sack and inside it he held onto something.

"Dye pack is right here. Just over her left eye. Regardless of your technology Anpu, it won't absorb the force. The dye pack should break so long as Dusk gets his aim down."

"I got it doc. Just get her set up then get out of here."

Dexter obeyed and soon my vision had been taken from me completely. I could use my gifts to feel for them however and with Dexter leaving the room I was soon left to hear from my friend.

"Alright. Pheww. Let's do this. I'm ready."

WIth my breathing unsteady, I shut my eyes and prepared myself for whatever had to be done to make this work.

Dusk's POV.

With the camera rolling I knew I didn't want to start with questions. I had to start this off by making a statement; so with my emotions waging war to hold it back, I denied them restraint and swung my right hand as hard as I could down at her head. I knew just how hard I hit her and for an instant I felt guilty as her head snapped to the side.

She came to recover pretty fast despite that so I continued and hit her again but this time using my other hand. Not allowing her to recover this time, I sent another round at her and widened my eyes as she let out a thick cough then begged.

"Please…stop…?!" So I hit her again and growled out.

"Shut the fuck up! You…..?! You fucking bitch!" This time I put all of my emotions into it and swung on her with pretty much everything I had. It was shocking because when I hit her this time she fell backwards with the chair she was tied to. Instantly I went down to grab her by the throat so I could drag her back up.

"You've been here lying to us for months! Working for those fucking pigs! I let you into my life! I trusted you with shit I never thought I'd share with another and this is how you repay me!? How you repay us!? You…..?" I decided enough was enough so I slammed the knife down through her left hand. Instantly Anpu screamed out in shock from the pain as I yelled.

"You fucked up! The people who sent you here fucked up! You hear me!?" I asked with a growl as I turned to look back at the camera.

"Do you fucking hear me?! G.U.N!? Send another one! I fucking dare you! Send us another one!" Turning around to pull out the knife which had stuck itself through her and into the arm rest, I proceeded to slam it down into the upper part of her right leg.

"Aghh! Stop!" She begged as I went on to growl.

"Stop!? You want me to stop!? You deserve every fucking second of this you bitch! But I'll tell you what….?" Going behind my back to pull out the gun, I cocked back the hammer and shouted.

"Because I fucking feel bad that you got mixed up in this business I'll send you out quick! You stupid motherfucker!" Proceeding to slap her in the head one last time, I asked her while pulling up the barrel to her head.

"You got anything to say before I pull this trigger?!"

"Just….just stop for a second please and listen to me! You don't understand! Just….?!" I didn't think twice about it since I had grown the confidence since playing up this act.

Pulling the trigger, I watched as the round went off and her head snapped back from the impact. Instantly she went limp and the dye pack began to drain slowly down from under the sack. I had to keep going however so I proceeded to yell at her as she was motionless.

"I understand what it means to be betrayed by someone I trusted! And I hope wherever you wind up you'll remember what happens when you take that trust for granted! You fucking stupid bitch!"

Throwing the gun down to the ground, I turned to look back at the camera.

"I'm not fucking around with you guys anymore. Send another. I fucking dare you. I'm actually going to fucking beg here. Please send another. I'll bury every single one of you motherfuckers. You want to be sneaky and dodge the rules? Message received. We'll be coming for you. It's just a matter of time."

Proceeding to hit stop on the camera, I made sure it was off before beginning to come down from my passionate speech. A moment after I knew I was safe from being recorded I turned to rush Anpu. The door behind me opened as well and Dexter came rushing in with Riley and Cal following suit.

"Get that sack off her you psycho!" Dexter ordered me as I gently got my hands around the sack to begin lifting it off. Under it was nothing but dye from the pack and a now red covered wolf. Her mask on the other hand was cracked from where I punched in the bullet and judging from my hands being around her entire head I knew she wasn't awake and that scared me as Dexter pushed right alongside me to order.

"Hold her head steady! Anpu? Can you hear us?" He asked her as Riley came around to look at her and ask.

"Is she breathing?"

"She's breathing, but….Dusk move over a little." He urged me in a worried state as I gently slid a few inches down. Working to take off her mask now, Dexter undid the strap and carefully slipped it off her face. A second later I froze as I saw the damage I did. Her right eye and most of her face was swelling, but the spot where I shot her was actually cracked open. She was bleeding badly and in a panic Dexter began to apply pressure to the wound.

"Is she going to be okay?" I asked in fear as I wasn't certain if I had actually done permanent damage to the girl.

"I don't know, but she's not dead and that's enough for right now. Help me get her to the med bay. I need to treat her."

"Okay." I mumbled now as Riley proceeded to order.

"Get that recording cleaned up Cal and get your people to work on delivering it to the proper hands."

"Yeah, no problem Riley." She replied as she reached to grab the camera from the tripod.

"Dusk? You did what you needed to do. Let Dexter and I take over from here. Go back to your team and when she's stable we'll think about what comes next. Okay?" Nodding my head as I stood up, I kept my eyes on Anpu who was just a bloody mess.

Sam's POV, Eight hours later.

Waking up on a pure white bed, I stared up at a small ceiling fan that was spinning slowly. It didn't make a single sound or maybe that was just my head adjusting. All I knew for certain was that I had to have been knocked out from the gunshot. Rolling my head over to my left side, I spotted Dexter sitting at his computer with his back facing me. Reaching up to put my hand up to my forehead, I felt the compression he must have wrapped me up with. Under the bandages felt like a lump the size of a baseball.

"Fuck….?" I whispered as I took a few minutes to collect my thoughts. Once I was ready to try and do something I called out in a soft voice to the owl.

"Dex?" The man turned with wide eyes to see me staring back at him.

"What happened?" I asked him as he got up from his desk to slowly approach the bed. Attempting to move myself I was immediately urged by the doctor to stop what I was doing. After that he said to me.

"You've been unconscious for….eight hours now. I wasn't sure if you'd be waking up this soon, but it appears that I was luckily wrong with my assessment. The bullet you took cracked your skull a quarter of an inch open. Your mask took most of the damage though so I'd consider yourself very lucky to walk away with just that."

"What about the others?" I then asked him as I rested my arms down to my sides.

"Sleeping. It's two in the morning. You should go back to bed yourself."

Despite everything I wanted to stand and Dexter panicked when I ignored his suggestion and just decided to do just that. With my feet planting themselves on the ground he shouted.

"Woo! Hold up Anpu! Don't…?" Proceeding to walk around him, I replied back with a small smile.

"I'm okay. Really doc. Just let me get some steps in."

"You're a fucking monster. You shouldn't be getting up this fast. It's going to cause more problems if we don't…?" This time I cut him off by reaching the exit to his office. He followed me of course, but that was fine considering my only intention was to check the war room to see if Riley or anyone was up. Walking through the door, I found no one around and questioned.

"Really? Everyone went to bed?" Dexter nodded and took me by my wrist to play the role of support as I appeared to be wobbling a bit. Inside however my mind was also running back and forth. I felt the impact that bullet hit me with every time my brain decided to pump itself up. Letting out a small sigh, I listened as Dexter encouraged me to come back to his room to rest. I wanted to know what Riley had planned and if they got any response on that execution we made. So much hung on my shoulders and I had no way to release the weight. Despite that, I listened to Dexter at long last and went back to the medical bay to retake my spot on the bed. Sensing my concerns; the good doctor said to me as he paid close attention to my condition.

"Riley gave Cal the video to send to G.U.N. From what I know they haven't sent it yet. They're setting up a plan to get it to them without any chance of it being traced back to us. They said it could take a few days to figure it out and just want you to focus on recovering after taking a bullet to the head."

"How's Dusk?" I then asked him as he cracked a small smile as he went to his chest to grab onto his stethoscope.

"He's about as good as he can be. He really played an emotional character back in that moment to sell the video and I think he might have upset himself seeing that he nearly killed you despite your shield tech taking most of the brunt. He went to bed with the rest of the boys after a few drinks and said he'd be coming by to check on you in the morning. Byron also stopped by while you were out."

"He say anything?" I then asked Dexter as he placed it to my heart.

"No. Not much. I told him you weren't dying and he went back to sleep."

I nodded and began to drift inside my own thoughts as Dexter attempted to listen in on my vitals. After a few seconds I remembered what I was and shot my attention down to him as he slowly became more and more concerned.

"What's wrong?" I asked him knowing full well that my heart hasn't really been operating since Roslin made me his demi.

"You're heart? It's….hold on." He urged me as he listened even harder for any sign of a beat. Ten seconds more and he asked me.

"How do you feel right now Anpu?"

"Fine?" I stated back which only made him more worried as he questioned.

"Your heart isn't…no….that can't be right. I have to be losing my mind. What if…?" Snapping his right hand to my neck, Dexter felt for my pulse, but he stared right into my eyes as he did it. Again he felt nothing and in utter confusion informed me.

"Something's not right. I can't feel your pulse and your heart isn't beating. What the hell is going on?" Sensing I was about to have to make a choice, I decided to gently push his hand away from my neck. At the same time I begged him.

"Stop touching me. Please."

Unsure of what to do now he looked me right in my eyes to question.

"I'm sorry, but I….?" It was over in an instant. Dexter passed out right in front of me and landed in my lap head first. I held onto him to keep him from falling, but was now left with a fierce echidna standing before me.

Roslin stared down at the man and let out a small sigh as it appeared he came just in time to prevent my secrets from coming out before they were ready. I quickly got Dexter over and back into his chair and rested him in a way that it looked like he just fell asleep at the desk. I knew he wouldn't remember a thing thanks to Roslin but I wasn't prepared to have this happen right now. Unsure of what to do once I had the doctor safely put away, I turned back around to look at Roslin who asked me calmly.

"How have you been? It's been a minute since we last spoke."

"Yeah….I'm okay. Just going through a lot right now. Thank you for….thanks for him." I referred to Dexter. Roslin nodded and replied back a moment after.

"No problem. Didn't want a scene to break out."

"I wish you were there when they all found out who I really was." I admitted which made him wonder back.

"They know now?"

"They know my real name and my back story."

"What about what you really are? A god? Do they know?" Shaking my head I replied back.

"No, of course not. Tika is the only one who does. She hasn't said anything and I doubt she ever will."

"Hmm." He hummed as I watched him begin to pace the room. With more concern in my tone than ever I asked him.

"Where have you been?" Looking back at me he replied.

"Dealing with Lia and all the things that come with what we're doing. I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye. I knew you would be fine without instructions. You knew what you had to do and clearly I was right. What's your problem?"

"I don't have a problem. I just….I missed you. It's been hard not seeing you." I informed him which is when he asked me back curiously.

"Really? I wonder how true that is. I have a strong feeling Samantha that if I was to merge with you right now I'd learn that what you just said was a lie. You didn't miss me. You feel guilty. All that love for your "master" seems to have leaked towards others. You're friend Tika being one."

Pressuring me by getting close, the big man looked down at me to question.

"You killed her, you know that right? Once your father and Marcus are dead there will be a reckoning. Anyone who knows of us, anyone who thinks they know of us; will die. It's part of the plan, Samantha. Doesn't matter what we do. What matters is moving forward. Your entire family is going to die. Your father made sure of that once he opened his big mouth. It's just a matter of time."

"Why are you telling me this? Do you think I'm stupid? I know what's going to happen. Lia told me." I growled back in anger as he questioned.

"She told you, but that doesn't mean you'll go along with it when the end nears."

"Look at where I am right now Roslin and consider what you're saying. I'm a terrorist. One of the world's worst. Soon my entire family will learn that. No, I don't know how they will find out the truth, but it's going to happen sooner or later and when that happens, I can't go back to that life. I can't expect anything but retribution for my actions. My life is going to be for the attrition at that point." Roslin widened his eyes as I put a finger to his chest to push him back a foot.

"Lia made everything clear to me so I could understand what it is I'm supposed to be doing. She made me her demi for a reason. You're no longer my "master". I don't even know what you are now. You've been gone for a long time and come back here to question my feelings towards you? Why? Because I sleep around? Fuck you!" I screamed at him as he growled back at me.

"Your life is for the attrition? You know fuck all about them. You have no clue what those gods are like and if you did you wouldn't be concerned with living your life for them. Use your fucking head Sam. I know you're smarter than that."

"No. You use yours. My father and Marcus are both going to die because they didn't even bother to think about what they were being given. They waited too long to repay the favor and I won't follow in their footsteps just because you think there is a way to toe the line. Use your head Roslin! Use it and start giving back! Stop wasting my time!" I yelled at him now and with his entire mood shifting to anger he ordered.

"Don't you dare give me orders. Remember who was there to save your fucking life in that back alley. I could have left you to die, but I….?"

"But you saved me and gave me all this!" I shouted as I expanded out my arms to show off myself. Once I was satisfied, I continued by stating.

"Like it or not Roslin, but that time has passed. You used to scare me, but now that I'm Lia's? I'm almost a hundred percent confident I could take you." Looking at me now as a threat the echidna questioned.

"Are you out of your goddamn mind? I've been a god for hundreds of years. Just because you moved up a little doesn't mean…?!"

Roslin's POV.

Before I could register my next word I was rushed down by the wolf in a blink of an eye. She slammed into me with her right palm extended and the moment she came to connect to my chest; I flew back into the nearby wall which even managed to crack from the hit.

"Ughkk!" I gagged up my lungs as my emotions went from anger to fear. Looking up despite my inability to breathe, I stared at Sam from the ground as she asked me with a vicious smile.

"How about we take this outside?" Beginning to approach me in a hurry, I raised up my hands to try and hold her back, but she phased right through them and rematerialized to grab me by the neck of my cloak.

In an instant she teleported us to the middle of the desert a few miles outside the city. By the time I came to my senses, she tossed me a few feet back and came rushing forth to start swinging. I was caught completely off guard by this entire event so all I could do was dodge and weave as she shouted.

"Fight me!"

This was beyond my experience. Even with centuries under my belt I was never forced to combat anyone in hand to hand like this. The only fighting I knew was the small amount she showed me real early on to our first time meeting on a regular basis. That wouldn't be enough to win this. My experience in confrontations were always the same. Even when it came to her father. I'd always catch my target off guard by my god given power. Beat them before they could do a thing and more or less after the first hit they wouldn't fight anyway.

Using my arms to soon block her attacks, I panicked when she suddenly got her foot behind me. I fell right into a trip and once my back hit the ground I began to roll out of the way and down the dune we found ourselves on. Sam remained at the top as I quickly came to stop at the bottom to look up at her. With a crazy look in her eyes she screamed down at me.

"Aren't you supposed to be tough!? Fight me you son of a bitch!"

"You have officially lost your mind! You can't attack me!"

"Who says I can't?! You!?" She asked me back as she began to laugh.

"Hahah! You can't just be nothing but bark Roslin! Fight me!" She screamed as I just growled back at her. Another second flew by then all the sudden she jumped down at me.

I moved out of the way of her attack and before she could even finish landing I sent my boot into her side and watched as she flew about twenty feet away to land with a harsh roll that probably spun her around nearly ten times. Once she finished sliding, I made my move to follow up with another one. Teleporting right in front of her as she laid there with her hands and knees planted in the sand, I swung for her neck in the hopes to knock her out, but the moment my hand made the move she vanished and reappeared behind me.

"Good try." She snarled as she now kicked me square in my lower back.

"Aghh!" I screamed as I was forced to my knees by the pain.

Before I could react further she decided to do the exact same thing I did to her and planted her foot straight into the middle of my spine. Her power was absurd. The force was beyond what she should be able to do at her level, but I was now sent tumbling straight into a dune that rose a good thirty feet uphill. Yet the force of my landing sent me two feet into the actual dune itself. I quickly dug my way back out to find her waiting for me the moment I got there.

"What's wrong?" She asked me as she punched me right in the right side of my face.

Falling over my own two feet from the power of her punch, I crawled back and began to panic as she was intent on pushing me further. I was losing my ground and had no idea what to do as she readied herself to hit me again. This time I used my head and forced myself to phase through her fist and the split second it exited out the other side of my head, I returned to reality and took a firm hold over her arm.

Dragging her down till she was on top of my chest, I placed my foot to her stomach and kicked with all I had. The first kick I made sure to hold her tight so she could feel that impact, but the second one I decided to release her and instead watched from my back as I kicked her up the dune. She landed on her neck from what I could see and struggled to get up as I climbed back onto my knees.

Feeling my anger coming back to me, I teleported up there just to scream.

"What the hell is wrong with you!? Have you gone crazy!?" Rolling onto her back the wolf glared back up at me to reply.

"I can do whatever I want! I don't need you anymore!"

"But I need you!" I now shouted back which in turn made her stop in her tracks. Seeing that I could potentially talk my way out of this fight, I took my chances and said to her.

"I need you. I need you to be on my side. I'm not forcing you to pledge your life to me. I'm not! Sure maybe when we first met I wanted a demi, but after all this time I realized I just needed someone to care. To care about me."

Sam was now starting to breathe normally and her reaction had gone from a feral anger to a more controlled state as I was now admitting to her how I felt.

"I just want someone to care. Someone I trust. Someone I…..I respect. Someone….someone I…..I love."

I lowered my guard now fully as she soon understood what I had said. Slowly I reached out for her and with my hand extended I begged.

"I know that person is you Samantha. I can't be wrong. We've talked about this. Please."

She looked me dead in my eyes for more than a few seconds before reaching out to take it. When she did I felt every muscle in my body relax and for once I was able to take a breath as I went to pull her up.

Sam's POV.

Holding his hand as hard as I could I was soon pulled up and before he could try anything I sent my boot into his gut to watch as he was sent all the way down the dune and nearly twenty feet out from there. Rolling with enough force to knock a man out, Roslin began to gag for air and crawl at the same time. He was scared.

Teleporting to his position, Roslin rolled onto his back and put up both arms in an attempt to block. Just as I was about to send it down my whole body froze when suddenly Lia appeared right between us and a near inch away from my fist hitting her face. I stopped myself the instant she appeared though, but kept my hand raised as she stared up at me with a smile and two joy filled eyes to ask.

"What are you doing?"

Roslin and I were both dead silent as the fox now turned her head to look at him.

"Why are you two fighting?"

Roslin didn't know the answer so when it became clear to Lia she looked back up at me for it. With my fist now down to my side, I replied back honestly.

"I….I don't know."

Lia seemed confused by that response and to my surprise Roslin jumped in to defend me.

"We're practicing. Sam has always wanted to fight me. To…get a feel for how she would have to be when the time comes to kill her father and Marcus."

"Practicing?" Lia questioned.

"Mortals aren't going to suffice when it comes to fighting a god. You know Lia as well as anyone." Lia seemed to be buying it because she seemed intrigued by the idea alone. However she soon looked back at me to ask.

"Is that true?" Lowering my fighting stance, I then followed up with my ears to reply.

"Yeah. Practicing."

Lia stared into my soul and for more than a few seconds I thought she would merge with me to learn the truth, but instead she took my word and smiled back at Roslin to offer him a hand. Slowly he took it and once back on his feet Lia informed him with a giggle.

"Well I came at the wrong time then. Looks like my demi can dance with you Roslin. Rare sight to see you on your back."

Roslin and I exchanged looks with one another. Neither of us would fuck this up now that we had our story going with the goddess. Instead Roslin took his time to feel his stomach. I kicked him with all my force so I knew it would hurt. A mortal would have had his guts smashed by that power. Covering up his pain though, the echidna replied with some uncertainty to his voice.

"Your demi is stronger than I expected her to be."

"She's not just a demi Roslin. She's my demi like you said. She's part of our world now. A member of the attrition just like me. Because of that she's going to be strong. She has to be strong. You won't be able to run this realm without her. Embrace her strength. Use that strength when this is all over. One of you has to do the killing and the other has to lead. You're a team. Let that be made clear. Work together and thrive together. For better or worse, but I pray it's the former." Lia stated which in turn made both Roslin and I consider our previous altercation. Lia was right. Roslin may be strong in his own right but he is not a seasoned fighter. His strength lies in his planning. He still knew a lot more than me, but I guess that doesn't mean he's necessarily weak.

I took a deep breath as Lia soon focused her attention on me.

"Don't take your power for granted. You are going to be stronger than Roslin because of what I did to your body. Just because you are stronger doesn't give you the right to take control. You two need one another. He needs you for your strength. You need him for guidance. Work together. Stay together. Fight together. Am I clear?" She asked us as we both remained quiet. She took that however as a positive response as I soon found it time to ask her a question.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here because I wanted to inform you both that I went ahead and made the first move." Roslin now looked at her in confusion.

"What are you talking about Lia?" He asked her back in fear. Spinning in place the fox turned back towards him to reply.

"Marcus and Raptor are no longer a team. After Raptor learned the truth behind his master; they separated. I figured now is a perfect time to try and kill one of them. Now I have no intentions of using either of you to do that, so I called upon a former demi. As we speak he's on his way to confront Marcus."

"Jackie?" Roslin questioned in disbelief.

"Marcus turned his back on the man, Roslin. Took away his gifts and sent him to the afterlife. Even after Jackie pledged on oath to serve. Even after Marcus pledged to train him. I'd say Jackie is due his time."

"What did you promise him?" Roslin then asked her as I was just trying to wrap my head around the situation.

"Simple. I gave him back his powers and promised that if he could best Marcus I'd revert his experiences and give him his mortal life back. He doesn't care about his memories and even you know that. He just wants freedom."

"And if he fails?" I now asked which earned me Lia's eyes.

"If he fails; this will just show Marcus that his time is coming to an end. You never had the pleasure of meeting Jackie. Him and Marcus used to be inseparable."

"What happens to me if he kills Marcus? I want to correct my mistakes Lia. I'm owed that." Roslin told her as she proceeded to nod her head.

"Roslin? Jackie is strong enough to put up a fight. He'll probably even get far considering Marcus isn't going to be expecting this, but ultimately Marcus can't afford to lose. Jackie is a message. A warning. Once this is over he'll start moving. Marcus is very capable when he's scared. Bringing back his best friend should be enough to get his blood running."

"When is this going down?" Roslin proceeded to ask as I fixed my hair.

"Should be any minute now. Why? Do you want to watch? Maybe lend a hand?" Lia chuckled at her own suggestion as my eyes watched Roslin closely for his answer. A few moments later he replied back with a more determined voice.

"Yes actually."

Lia instantly began jumping up and down in excitement.

"Oh this should be fun! Sam!?" Turning to grab me by my hands, she asked me in the same level of excitement.

"Do you want to come with us?" Widening my eyes, I replied back with a stutter.

"Ahhh….I would, but I can't really afford to have Marcus see me."

"Actually Sam?" Roslin called to me which made both Lia and I turn to look at him as he suggested.

"Marcus isn't going to be expecting this at all. He's going to panic and call for your father's aid. Together they can surely overpower Jackie and the last thing we want is for them to get back together. We can't let that happen. Could you distract your dad while they fight?"

"I…I mean I can yes, but my father can't…?" I was cut off as Roslin urged me mid sentence.

"Go get your gear and do anything you can to get his attention. Your father hates the person behind that mask. He'd do anything to get his hands on them. Just watch yourself and don't do anything hasty. Just keep his attention."

"Alright. I gotcha." I replied as I jumped back to the bunker. Standing back in the medical bay, Dexter was still out cold and sleeping, but my eyes looked towards the wall which now had a huge break in it. I'm sure someone was going to wonder what happened, but I didn't have time to think of that now. I had to go get my things and hope that whatever plan I came up with would work against my father. Right now he had to be in bed.
