After the defeat of the Aparoids, Corneria has turned into a democratic republic. The vibrant hub for Lylatians has grown a corrupt, seedy rotten underbelly. Star Fox returns to the planet after ten years of absence. A young jackal intends to see his heroes up close. Little did he know how drastically this decision would change his life. 1. Introduction

Cornerian Wild Card is a neon noir story set after the events of Star Fox: Assault in an alternate future where the events of Star Fox: Command never happened. This story is OC focused and intends to explore a darker future for Corneria City as it recovers from the Aparoid Invasion as well as the dismantling of its old military government in favor of a democratic republic. With a heavy focus on worldbuilding and a character-driven narrative, Cornerian Wild Card is told from the perspective of Chase Reyes, a young jackal whose life quickly falls apart when he stumbles upon something he shouldn't have seen, putting him in the crosshairs of Corneria's most powerful and treacherous man, all during the Star Fox team's return to Corneria after ten years of their absence in Lylat. Desperate to protect his family, Chase is willing to do whatever it takes to keep them away from danger, even if it means getting himself and the Star Fox team further tangled in Corneria's long spiderweb of conspiracies, mind games and tricks woven by its most powerful men and women.

Heavily inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, 80s dystopian sci-fi movies such as Robocop and Terminator, as well as A Fox in Space, Cornerian Wild Card is a dark take on the Star Fox universe as it explores themes such as manipulation, exploitation, government corruption, mental health, violence, death and other heavy themes. Rated M for Mature.
