Amy gets ready. Putting on a bi pin and a Polyam pin. Getting a bi flag out and wearing it as a cape. She looks at herself in the mirror. She looks great. Getting out some face paint and painting a bi flag on each of her cheeks. She smiles at herself. Then exits her room.
"Bye Grandma!" She calls to her grandma
"Bye! Be safe!" Her grandma calls back.
Amy runs out of her house. Going to Blaze's house. It takes her a bit. Enjoying the scenery along the way. Walking down the street to Blaze's house where she knocks and waits for someone to answer.
Knuckles opens the door
"Hey, you're early" he says
"Of course I am!" Amy says back
Amy goes inside. Greeted by Tails, Kit and Silver. Knuckles also has bi flags on his cheeks and a bi cape. While Tails has a trans cape, two pansexual flags on her face, and trans and pansexual wristbands and a Polyam pin. Kit has a poly flag pin and two trans-masc flags painted on his cheeks and a trans flag cape. Silver has a Demi-boy pin and cape and also a gay pin along with some other flags in other places.
"I'm done in there if anyone wants to use it" Surge comes out of the bathroom. She sees Amy and nervously waves. Surge has two lesbian flags on her cheeks, a lesbian flag where she was sitting and a lesbian pin. If you couldn't tell, she's a lesbian.
"Finally!" Silver says and unties their cape and goes into the bathroom. Rushing past everyone else. Everyone else goes quiet for a second with the sudden outburst. Tails laughs a bit which breaks the tension.
"Where's Blaze?" Amy asks.
"Upstairs with Cream and Marine." Tails says pointing upstairs.
"Thanks!" Amy rushes upstairs to see her girlfriend
Upstairs. Cream, Marine and Blaze are getting ready. When they hear a knocking on the door. Cream gets up and opens the door.
"Hey Amy!" Cream says. Amy goes inside to see an overhaul in Blaze, Cream and Marine's room. A lesbian flag hangs in the middle. While an Asexual flag is on Blaze's side and another lesbian flag is on Marine and Cream's side.
"How's it going?" Amy says looking around the room.
"Good!" Marine says painting Blaze's face. Both her and Cream are decked out in lesbian flags and pins and all sorts of other little things.
"And…Done!" Marine says, finishing
Amy sees Blaze. She has a lesbian flag painted on one cheek and an a asexual flag painted on the other. She also has asexual and lesbian pins and is wearing a lesbian cape. Amy can't help but think how pretty her girlfriend is and a dumb smile appears on her face.
"Blaze you look great!" Amy compliments, Blaze blushes. Marine and Cream look at each other. Marine starts to put the face paint away.
"I think that's it, unless you want anything Amy?" Marine asks
"Nope, already got mine!" Amy points to herself, Marine nods back and puts the face paint away
The four head down to everyone else. Who are sitting around on the couches. Twiddling their thumbs or talking about random things.
"Alright let's go!" Cream cheers out. Everyone gets up and goes outside. Getting waved off by Vanilla who is wearing an ally pin.
"Have fun. You kids, make sure you be safe!" She calls out to all of them. Getting a bunch of nods and confirmations that they will be in fact safe.
The group goes to the actual place where the pride parade is being held. More like an actual festival at this point. Everyone walks around, doing whatever. Finding a place to sit and eat some food, which probably costs way too much.
It's not like there is much to do.
"This was more fun when there was homophobic people to k- I mean bully" Surge says holding herself off in case anyone who has moral qualms is listening to her talking. Everyone else nods in agreement.
Amy and Blaze notice the Crocodile and Chameleon they saw during Halloween walking around with their presumably son, a bee. The Chameleon has a a bunch of gay flags on himself while the Crocodile has a bunch of bi flags, both of them have poly flags on themselves too. Which Amy can't help but smile at the three.
Mostly the gang gets food and sits around. Talking to other people and amongst each other. Enjoying how little pushback there is now even in smaller towns. Except Surge who still wants to beat up straight people.
"I'm telling you, Marine!"
"Silver, your theories make no sense!"
"Tell me exactly why the government is funneling money to Monkey exhibits!"
"They're not, you're going crazy!"
Now this is turning back to school. Which nobody seems to like. Except Silver who won't stop sharing his crazy theories. At a pride parade. They would probably still share them if he had a gun to his head
Marine ends up leaving with Cream. Knuckles goes somewhere else, probably to get away from all the chaos. Tails and Kit leave and Silver goes off elsewhere probably to spread their ideals. Leaving Amy, Blaze and Surge. The last one who leaves after things get too awkward. Disguising it as going to find Kit. Leaving Amy and Blaze, alone. In a park full of people. Not like they mind it too much. They snuggle up close to each other under the newly hot June sun.
"Maybe it isn't perfect, but today was still a good day." Amy says
"Well, it was perfect, with my girlfriend." Blaze says back.
"You get more cheesy every single day"
"It's your fault."
Amy laughs. The two sit down. Waiting and not doing much until the sun starts to go down. Everyone meets back up and goes back to Blaze, Cream and Marine's house. Knuckles leaves before they even get to the house, something about meeting up with somebody. Vanilla greets them on the way in. After a while Tails, Kit and Surge leave. After the day passes away. Amy decided it's time to leave.
"Well, see you later" Amy says to Blaze
"Bye, love you, oh, and one more thing." Blaze says
"That would b-" Amy gets cut off with Blaze kissing her
"…Smooth" Amy comments
"Thanks." Blaze says back. The two say their goodbyes again then Amy leaves back to her house. Walking slower now that the day is done and everything is over. She eventually arrives at her house, greets her grandmother who greets her back. Then goes to bed after washing her face and brushing her teeth.
It was a perfect day, thanks to her girlfriend.
