In the tropical forest of Kauai, a frog chasing after a fly brushed against a small bush. A green experiment pod labeled "226" rolled out from the foliage and into the nearby pond. It activated, revealing a green dinosaur-like experiment with a tusk on either side of his snout, and a smaller on on his chin.
He took notice of the frog and fly, and fired beams from his nasal tusks at them.
What resulted was both creatures turning into a green and black blob respectively which were then swirled into each other.
And after solidifying, the resulting mixture was a frog with extra legs, big red eyes, and wings. It promptly coughed up acid and flew away.
The experiment then made his way to Kokoua Town. Meanwhile, Lilo and Stitch were walking down the street, when they noticed a sign.
"A new restaurant is opening next week." Lilo said. "I suppose we could get a look at it."
"Ih!" Stitch added. They walked over but when they got there the building had no signs on it. They saw the owner pacing back and forth.
"Aloha." Lilo said, "What seems to be the trouble?"
"I'm in a bit of trouble over here. I'm trying to open a new restaurant? But I can't decide on a theme." He admitted.
"A theme huh? What're some things you had in mind?" Lilo inquired.
"Well, I'm trying to think about something involving seafood. But I can't decide between a volcano theme like here, or an icy theme like my home. Which should I do?"
Lilo thought about it. "What if Stitch and I make a decision for you?" she said.
"I would really appreciate that." the owner said. "I sure hope you agree on something."
"Come on, Stitch. We should put our heads together for an idea." They started walking back home, when there was a commotion.
Namely one thing that ran by them looked like an odd cross between a dog and a cat.
A few odd crosses between plants also appeared nearby. So they followed the trail until…
they found 226.
"Huh, is that one of the experiments?"
"Cousin!" Stitch said. He jumped forward, ready to fight.
"Wait!" Lilo said. She stopped Stitch. "We gotta think of a plan so we don't get combined."
"Naga plan!" protested Stitch. He wanted to catch this experiment his way.
Naturally the experiment was pretty adept at using his powers.
It ran between two trees, and them used its powers to combine both trees in the middle, causing Stitch to run into it.
"Come on he's getting away!" Lilo told him as she noticed it crossed a stream.
It hopped a few stones, so her and Stitch did the same , only for 226 to combine all the stones they were standing on, creating a small island. This stranded them in the middle of the stream, with little room for them both to stand on the stone.
Stitch tried to keep his balance, he grabbed Lilo to keep himself from falling in, but they both did.
"You pulled me in!" Lilo said.
"Nuh-huh!' Stitch argued.
"Yuh-huh!" Lilo told him back. As they argued, 226 saw an opportunity. He aimed his tusks at them, and fired away.
As the beam hit them, there was a small explosion.
Lilo didn't exactly feel right. Her left hand felt like the nails were longer, as did the right foot. She also felt unusually furry in some places.
Stitch also felt like something was wrong. He couldn't feel his right arm or left leg, and it seemed like much of his fur was gone.
Lilo then looked down. "AAAAHHH! Stitch, we've been comboed!" Stitch noticed and gasped. It seemed like they were sharing Lilo's muumuu, but there was one body underneath.
226 had transformed them into a two-headed, half-human half alien being!
And unfortunately, the experiment gave them the slip following the confusion.
"Well this is just great." She looked around. Then she looked at Stitch's hand. Which was on her side. Instead of being combined evenly down the middle, Lilo's head was on the left while Stitch's was on the right. Yet her left hand was replaced with Stitch's, which she could control.
And similarly Stitch could control her human hand which was on the right side. "So this is what your hand is like?"
"Stitch don't like this." Stitch replied.
"Me neither." Lilo added. "We've been affected by many experiments' powers before, but this is way too weird even for me."
"How get unfused?" Stitch wondered.
"How about we try pushing apart?" It was an innocent suggestion but it just might work.
She put her hand(which was Stitch's hand) against his head, and he did the same. So they started pushing apart.
They pushed as hard as they could, but it was no good.
"I'll go this way, you go the other." They attempted to pull apart, but that obviously didn't work either.
"Jumba made that experiment. Maybe he knows how to get us apart." Lilo said. So they started walking back home, but it wasn't easy with two legs between them.
"Woah!" Lilo had trouble as her normal human leg and Stitch's stubbier alien leg tried to cooperate.
"Alright to the left. Slower! Pull up pull up!" Lilo encouraged, only for the two to fall on their faces.
"This stinks."
"Ih." Stitch added. "How get home now?"
"I don't know." Lilo said. "But at least things can't get any worse."
"Have to pee." Stitch admitted.
Lilo just sighed as she let her head hit the ground.
They went into a nearby bush, and came out shortly after. Lilo asked annoyed, "You okay now?"
Stitch nodded, but then they heard laughing. It was Mertle and her friends. They were riding their trikes.
"Well, well." Mertle said. "I knew you and that dog of yours were close, but this is too much."
"YEEEAAAAHHH." the others added.
"Could we borrow your trike?" Lilo asked.
"Ewww, now way! And it wasn't built for two anyway." she protested.
But Stitch insisted, "We two in one!" And he promptly took control of the body so they could seize the tricycle.
"Hey! Not again!" Mertle complained.
"We'll bring it back!" Lilo called. She and Stitch made it home, ran up the front stairs, and opened the door. The rest of their family was watching TV when they noticed.
Only their heads were sticking out of the door frame.
"Uh, we have a bit of a-" Lilo said first.
"Problem." Stitch finished.
That's when they stepped all the way inside.
"What in the world happened?!" Nani gasped. She couldn't believe her younger sister was fused to an alien.
"Looks like handiwork of 226." Jumba said. "One of my best 200-series creations."
"You made a monster that fuses things together?!" Nani yelled at the so-called evil genius.
"It's mainly designed for advanced welding, not to mention making gene splicing way faster. You have any idea how long gene splicing take?"
"Well, can you split us up? It feels….itchy." She started scratching their belly, as Stitch's skin felt uncomfortable. Only to cause a tear in the dress. "Oh right, I forgot I have your claws."
"Unfortunately, only 226 can undo fusion. Where is he?"
"He got away after combining us." Lilo said. "Stitch and I can't seem to work together in one body. What are we gonna do?"
Pleakley then spoke up. "Perhaps I can be of assistance."
"How?" Lilo asked.
"It seems cooperation is the main issue between you two. Perhaps all you need are to try some team building exercises to get better acquainted with each other." the cyclopian alien explained.
"Uh, okay, like what?"
"First, let's try a simple walk." Pleakley said. "Who's got which leg?"
"Stitch has the right, I have the left." Lilo answered.
"Alright, take a step forward."
Lilo carefully took a step, but Stitch had trouble supporting her weight.
But she still got her footing. "Alright Stitch, your turn."
Stitch moved his foot one step. Then Lilo. They went back and forth.
"Hey, we're walking!" Lilo said. "We're moving together!"
"Wonderful!" Pleakley applauded. "Onto the next exercise!"
In front of them they had some bread, some pulled pork, and some mustard and pineapple slices. "This time we're gonna have you try and do something more complicated."
Lilo picked up the loaf.
"Make a sandwich and share it."
It sounded easy enough, but considering his appetite, Stitch wanted to eat everything himself. He grabbed the loaf, but Lilo took it back.
"He said we have to make and share it together. If you eat everything too fast, we'll both get a stomachache. And I don't wanna find out how our digestion may turn out." she explained.
"Okay." Stitch agreed.
Lilo still had trouble using Stitch's fingers, and Stitch was still curious about having human fingers that he got distracted.
Lilo tried opening the bread, but couldn't manage with just one hand. "Stitch?" Right away they opened it together and laid out the slices.
Now for the assembly.
First, they spread mustard on the bottom slice. Then arranged the pulled pork, and the pineapple slices on top of that. Finally they put the top slice on, and cut the sandwich in half.
"How does it taste?" Pleakley asked.
"Great!" Lilo said. "What's next on the list?"
"Next you should-" before Pleakley finished explaining, Jumba spoke up.
"Next you should go find Experiment 226." he demanded..
"Excuse me, we were in the middle of a-" once again the cyclops was interrupted.
"Feh, they can cooperate plenty. Besides, they should probably hurry before experiment does any more damage."
"Do you think we can do it?" Lilo asked.
"I do indeed." Jumba said. "Plus, I have run analysis of your fusion, and it turns out you both share all of 626's abilities."
"Cool!" said Lilo. "I got your powers!"
"Stilo against the world!" Stitch said.
They decided to test that out. They sprouted an extra set of arms. One of Lilo's and one of Stitch's. Totaling 4.
"Let's go!" They ran outside on all 6 limbs. They had to catch him no matter what.
226 was wandering the outskirts of town, looking for new things to combine. He spotted a rock and a coconut palm. He zapped them. The tree became stone hard, and its fruit was so heavy, the whole thing fell over.
The experiment laughed at his powers, when Lilo and Stitch appeared behind him.
"We've got unfinished business with you!" Lilo said.
He tried zapping them again. But it didn't do anything. "Already combined!" Stitch pointed out.
Right away the duo went in to try and wrangle it, but 226 was pretty slippery.
It combined a tree with the ground, phasing it into the sand and pinning down Lilo and Stitch.
But the duo used their super strength to get it off themselves. 226 then zapped a pineapple and a bird flying above.
The fruity bird swooped down and pecked Lilo and Stitch. "Cut that out!" Lilo said.
Stitch tried to throw it at him, but Lilo's human hand got pricked by the pineapple spikes. "Ow!"
Lilo however used Stitch's arms to throw the fruity bird right at 226.
He got hit right on the head, and fell to the ground, dazed.
"Let's wrap this up!" Lilo said, grabbing a vine. She and Stitch tied 226 up, immobilizing him.
"Gotcha!" they said together.
The experiment lowered its head and accepted defeat.
So it zapped the duo again, splitting them into human and alien once more. "Yeah, own hands!" Stitch yelled.
Lilo was happy too, but then she told him, "It's a start, but we gotta fix everything else first."
After getting 226 to undo what he'd done, Lilo thought of his new name.
"Since you like to combine stuff, Combo will be your name. And I think I know just where your one true place is, as well as the perfect theme for the new restaurant."
The new place had opened up. A half-volcano and half-attic restaurant called Spicy Ice.
"Alright, that's one peppery strawberry." The store owner got a plate of sautéed peppers and a strawberry ice cream cone and presented it to 226.
He zapped them into a single dish, and the owner took it to a Pelakais were attending the grand opening.
"That was a really creative idea you two had." Nani said.
"Thanks." Lilo smiled. "When Stitch and I put our heads together, we can do anything."
THE END
