As soon as they got to the Temple of Twilight there were Sheikah guards waiting for them.
"Your Majesties, welcome back."
"Thanks, it's great to be back," Link said.
They made their way back to the Palace. As soon as they got there Link went to check on Vera. Meanwhile, Midna, Atra, and Twila went to the dining hall to get ready for dinner. Link got to the door and knocked. But there was no answer, he opened the door and saw a note on the bed.
Dear Link,
I would like to thank you for teaching me the error of my ways. I really want to explore the Twilight Realm so I will be gone for a couple of weeks. I promise not to kill anyone.

Link reread the note and put it in his pocket. He headed to the dining hall and as soon as he got there Midna, Atra, and Twila were waiting for him.
"Where's Ms. Vera at?" Atra asked.
"She's gone to explore the Twilight Realm." Link replied, "She left a note on her bed."
Midna looked at him, "I sure hope she doesn't kill anyone."
"She promised that she wouldn't, but I do know she will if she feels threatened in any way."
"I hope you are right about her." Midna finally said after a long silence, "Well, let's eat before the food gets cold."
They ate their food in silence when a Rito came in with a message.
"Your majesty, I have a message from Ovesht."
King Link, there is someone here who claims to know you, but she has stolen one of our precious artifacts. I know you don't affiliate with people like that but would you please come and get her and take her back with you?
Midna looked at Link as soon as the messenger left. "See what happens when you trust someone to change."
"I need to go get her so I will be right back."
Link got up and warped to the Hebra Region. As soon as he got there Ovesht met him at the entrance to Rito Village in the Hebra region.
"Where is she at?" Link asked.
"Follow me I will take you to her."
Link followed Ovesht up a set of stairs and they made it to the holding cell of Vera.
"Vera why would you do this to them?"
"It was a misunderstanding, someone dropped it and I was trying to return it when they thought I stole it," Vera replied. "I've really changed."
Link looked to Ovesht, "I'm so sorry for this, I will take her back with me."
Link and Vera walked away from Rito Village.
"Are you really sure you didn't steal anything?" Link asked as they made there way back to the Palace of Twilight.
Vera nodded her head, "Yes, like I told you in Rito village someone dropped it and I was going to return it to them when the guards saw it in my hands."
All of a sudden a Rito landed in front of them.
"Your Majesty, Ovesht would like to see you and bring her with you," The Rito said as he flew off.
Link looked to Vera, "This could be some good news."
"Or it could be that they are going to put me to death because of how precious the item is."
Once they got to the chief's room there was someone else there.
"Link, this person admitted to the theft of the precious artifact and based on the camera footage he is the one who stole it from the temple and he dropped it and that is when Vera picked it up."
"So she was telling the truth."
Ovesht nodded, "Yes and Vera I would like to apologize to you for the misunderstanding."
"It's okay chief, I understand why it would look like I took even though I didn't." Vera said, "I'm relieved that I am not going to be in trouble for this."
"Link, please send my greetings to your wife."
Link nodded his head, "Of course, I will."
A Few Hours Later
Link and Vera walked to the dining hall for dinner. As soon as they got there, Midna, Twila, and Atra were waiting for them.
She was falsely accused of stealing the artifact. Link told Midna, They found the person who really did it.
Oh so it was just a misunderstanding. Midna said back as Zert brought them their food.
"Here you go your majesties and your highnesses," Zert said as he set the food down on the table. "Is there anything else you need?"
They shook their heads. "No, thank you."
Once Vert left they started to eat.
"How are you doing Ms. Vera?" Atra asked.
"I'm doing good your highness, thank you for asking," Vera replied. "And how are you doing Prince Atra?"
"I'm also doing great."
They ate their food in silence. When Midna spoke up and looked at Vera.
"So did you enjoy exploring the Twilight Realm?"
Vera nodded her head, "Yes, until there was that misunderstanding."
"Yeah, I know how it feels to be blamed for something that you didn't do," Midna said.
After they were done Zert came back and gathered the dishes and Chef Valt came out with the cake.
"This cake is for you Prince Atra," Valt said. "Happy birthday."
"Happy birthday my son," Link said.
"I totally forgot that it was my birthday with all that's happened today."
Later that night
Link and Midna were getting ready for the night when Link looked to Midna.
"I'm really glad that it was a misunderstanding with Vera." Link said, "I mean I was the one to trust her first."
Midna nodded her head, "You really believe that she could change just like I did with what I experienced in the realm of light when Zant exposed me to too much light."
Midna realized what she said and she looked to Link. "I'm sorry for mentioning that because I know that you don't really like that memory."
"No, it's okay," Link said. "I understand what you mean by someone changing."
They settled down on the bed as they kissed each other good night. And with that both of them fell asleep.
The next morning in Hyrule
Zelda woke up and noticed that Laluh was still asleep.
Man he is so much like Link on based on what Midna told me. Zelda thought as she got up to get ready for the day. Before she left the room she looked back and saw that Laluh was still asleep. She shut the door and the guard on duty walked up and bowed.
"Good morning your majesty," the guard said.
"Good morning Ibon," Zelda replied. "Would you please escort me to the meeting room where I will meet Link and Midna for an alliance with the Twilight Realm?"
Ibon nodded his head, "Of course, your majesty."
Once Ibon left Zelda went to go check on her adopted daughter.
In the Twilight Realm
Link woke up and noticed that Midna wasn't next to him. He got up and put on his royal robes and went to check his personal library. Because recently Midna has been reading from his personal library. He walked in and noticed that he was right, Midna was reading something.
"How long have you been up?" Link asked.
"I've been up since 3 o'clock this morning," Midna replied.
"Are you nervous about the alliance?"
Midna shook her head, "No, it's not that."
"Then what woke you up?"
"I'm just not sure if it is wise to ally with Hyrule this early on."
Link looked at her, "What do you mean?"
"I mean you suspected something wrong about your cousin Laluh."
"Yeah, but we just don't know what that is yet."
They left their bedroom to go wake up the kids because they needed to get to the Realm of Light for their meeting with Zelda and the elders of Hyrule.
"You go get Twila up since she likes you more." Midna said, "And I will get Atra up."
Link nodded his head, "Okay, I will."
Meanwhile Back in Hyrule
Zelda got Cerie up to get her ready for the tutor.
"Cerie, time to get up for tutoring," Zelda said.
Cerie opened her eyes and got up.
"Am I going to see Cousin Link today?" Cerie asked.
Zelda shrugged her shoulders, "I'm not sure if you will be able to or not because I don't know how long he will be staying in Hyrule."
"Isn't he the King of the Twilight Realm?"
"Yeah, he is."
In the Twilight Realm
Link, Midna, Atra, and Twila made there way to the Temple of Twilight.
"I thought we couldn't go back to the Realm of Light," Twila said.
"Well, since the Mirror of Twilight has been repaired we could go there anytime." Midna said, "Besides we are going over there to form an alliance with Hyrule."
Atra looked up at the mention of an alliance with Hyrule.
"Really that would be really fun."
Link nodded his head, "Yeah that would be fun but for now this trip is strictly business."
As soon as they got to the mirror chamber in the Twilight Realm, Link waved his hand and the portal opened. Once they walked through they noticed that it was late morning in Hyrule.
"Welcome back Link," Zelda said. "This is one of our youngest Royal Guards."
Link looked at him and saw that he was pretty much 14 years old. "What's your name?"
"My name is Kozah, your majesty," Kozah replied. "I am a huge fan of you since I heard you saved Hyrule at the age of 17."
Link rubbed his head, "I'm not that famous."
Zelda laughed, "You were always humble about that."
"Yeah, even though he should be proud of what he has made the Twilight Realm a better place he stays humble about that too." Midna added, "I've told to take credit for somethings now and then."
They walked in silence through Castle Town to where they will have the meeting. Once Link walked into the room the Elders of Hyrule got up and bowed.
"Your Majesty, welcome back."
"Thank you Cazu," Zelda replied. "Now that everyone is here we could get started on the reason for this meeting."
Cazu looked at her then to Link and he knew the reason why Zelda called the meeting.
"So we are allying with the Twilight Realm?"
Zelda nodded her head, "Yes, Togun do you have a problem with that?"
Togun shook his head, "No your majesty, but didn't Zant kill off the royal guard."
Link spoke up. "But, I killed him so he isn't going to be a threat anymore."
"Well, it seems the Hero of Twilight is a Traitor, how dare you show your face here again," One of the Elders said.
"I've had my share of traitors in my own kingdom but I am no traitor because a Twili helped me save Hyrule." Link spat back, "Unless you have forgotten."
"You absolutely have no proof of that."
Midna grabbed Link's hand to keep him from getting up and fighting the elder.
"Link, calm down you know that you are not a traitor but don't jeopardize the alliance based on this."
Link took a deep breath, and calmed down.
"Not only is the Hero of Twilight a traitor but he is a coward."
"Longu that's enough," Zelda yelled. "You are dismissed from this meeting for the way you are treating My personal guests."
Longu just shook his head as he left the room.
"I'm so sorry about that Link." Zelda said, "He was never really on board with the alliance with your people."
"It's okay, your majesty a lot of things doesn't really bother me anymore."
"Link, would you like to explain your plans for the alliance."
Link nodded as he got up, "Yes, your majesty, my plan for the alliance is to enchant the new Mirror of Twilight to where you can visit the Twilight Realm without having to turn into spirits like you guys did when Zant invaded Hyrule."
"So, let me get this straight," Togun said. "You are going to allow us to come to your kingdom to visit."
Midna nodded her head, "Yes, that is the plan but the mirror is going to have another enchantment to it where if anyone wants to come through the Mirror with any intentions to harm either people will not be able to go through."
"Also, if anyone from my kingdom wants to visit Hyrule they will not be damaged from the sun."
Cazu looked to Zelda, "Your majesty, I really think we could benefit from this alliance especially since I heard that the rulers of the Twilight Realm are the strongest magic users in the entire Twilight Realm, am I correct."
Zelda nodded her head, "Yes, you are correct, I am glad that you have done your research."
"Link do you agree with the terms of the alliance?"
Link nodded his head as he signed the agreement. And so the Twilight Realm has allied with Hyrule. But little do they know that there are some people who are against the alliance.
Link and Midna left the meeting room and went to pick up Twila and Atra from the guard who was giving them a tour of the castle.
"Did you two have fun?" Midna asked.
Twila nodded her head, "Yes, but this castle isn't as big as the palace at home."
"Yeah but it was my home for a while, much of it was bigger when I first visited it but since the attack from Zant the second time much of the castle was damaged by the barrier that Zant created." Link replied, "Now Atra what did you think?"
Atra looked up, "Well, I agree with sis that it's not as big as the palace back home, but I really enjoyed reading on the History of Hyrule."
Link and Midna looked at each other.
"And that you saved Hyrule from Ganondorf and Zant at the age of 17," Atra added.
"You didn't know that I saved Hyrule?"
Atra shook his head, "No, I only heard that you saved the Twilight Realm from Zant."
"Ganondorf used Zant to get back into the Realm of Light." And so Link told them of the Journey that Midna and him went through here in Hyrule and the Twilight Realm.
Back in the Arbiters Grounds
Zelda was waiting for Link and Midna to open the door to the Twilight Realm.
Link said an incantation and launched a ball of energy at the Mirror of Twilight. The Mirror started to glow and changed to show the Hylian crest on on half of the Mirror and on the other half it showed the Twilight Crest.
"The mirror is now enchanted," Link said.
"Good," Zelda said. "Next we need to make it easier for people to get her now that we aren't going to use this as a prison for Hyrule's Worst Criminals."
Midna walked up to Zelda and hugged her. "It's so great to finally see that our people will now be one."
Zelda nodded her head, "Yes, I'm going to put some guards on post here to welcome the Twilight people to Hyrule."
"Yeah, and I am going to do the same thing in the Twilight Realm." Link said, "Before I announce that anyone who would like to see Hyrule can go to the Temple of Twilight."
Link and Midna raised their hands and the mirror opened a portal to the Twilight Realm and that will always stay open.
"Good-bye Zelda for now, I hope you will visit the Twilight Realm soon." Midna said as the four of them walked through the portal.
