"TWILA" Link yelled. "Who could have taken her?"
"It looked like my childhood best friend Zard."
Link looked at her, "But it was probably his counterpart."
"It must have been, because he really wouldn't do this because he was so kindhearted." Midna said, "He was the first one to tell me that he wanted to see me happy before I found a way for you to come to the Twilight Realm."
"Do you know who his parents are so we could find out where their son is?"
Midna shook her head, "His mother passed away not long after he was born and his father is Death itself."
"You can't be serious."
"It is true." A voice said behind them and Midna recognized Zard's voice.
"Did you find out anything about your evil counterpart?" Midna asked.
Earlier that Day
"Zard can you see if you can find out anything about your counter-part?" Midna asked.
Zard nodded his head, "Yes I will see what I can find out."
"I sure hope he finds out something that will help Link defeat him." Midna said to herself.
Zard nodded his head, "Yes, his name is Haruka Ruka but you can't defeat him without killing me."
"There must be some way to neutralize him without killing him." Link said, "There's always some other way than to resort to killing."
"But, you must if there is no other option," Zard said. "Even if it means I die, he must be defeated."
"You must be the famous Hero of Twilight," A voice said behind them, "You don't seem to special to me."
Link and Midna turned.
"Who are you?" Link demanded.
"I am Dand and this is my brother Cadt." He responded, "We can't let you stop Ruka's plan to take over the world."
Dand raised his hand and formed an energy ball of pure darkness when Zard put a barrier around them.
"Link and Midna you must find my father in the Void of Agony and he should help you." Zard said, "Tell him I sent you also I will try to find your daughter."
Zard waved his hand and they disappeared.
"You have some guts," Cadt said. "To keep them safe from us."
"They will not find your father," Dand added. "Because Ruka knows that your father has the power to stop him."
"You better not have hurt him."
"Well, we couldn't kill him so we sealed him away and nobody will be able to break the seal." Cadt said, "Not even the Eternal Rulers of Twilight."
"On one other note, you shouldn't make promises you can't keep.
Link and Midna were surrounded by darkness but Link can see perfectly because of his wolf-like vision.
"So this is what it looks like in the void." Link said, "Do you know if this place have a name?"
Midna nodded her head, "Yes, there are three parts, The Void of Despair; The Void of Suffering; and the place where we ended up in is the Void of Agony.
"Midna and Link can you hear me," Zard said. "This is the void that I control and you need to find your way through the three different voids to find my father."
"Wait," Midna said. "Doesn't your father control the Void of Suffering?"
"He does, but my Ruka my counterpart sealed him somewhere in the void."
Link looked to Midna, "So we have to explore the void in order to find him to get his help."
"Yes, but I will not be able to help you because I can't get back to the void because my power isn't complete." Zard said, "Although I can still be able to communicate with you through my telepathy and vice versa."
"Well, Midna I guess we are going to be stuck here for a while."
"Let's get started."
