AN: Alright, I'm skipping over their date and just go straight into Rose's Scabbard. And this is where this story goes from being rated T to M.
WARNING!: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS A LEMON!
Act 2
Chapter 6: Rose's Scabbard.
When Isaac entered the Big Donut, he greeted everyone with a big smile and wave. "Hey, everyone!"
Both Sadie and Lars were there, as well as Isaac's cool friends, Sour Cream, Buck, Jenny, and Jenny's sister, Kiki. All of them looked up to see Isaac walking into the coffee shop with a smile, and all greeted him, with the exception of Lars. "Hi, Isaac!"
"How's it going, man?" Buck asked, leaning back in his chair.
"Not much. I'm just here to pick up breakfast for Steven and myself," Isaac said as he strolled up to the counter. "Two breakfast sandwiches and a cup of coffee, please."
"Sure thing!" Sadie said, before getting his order. "So, what's going on with you? Are you and the Gems going on a mission?"
"Nope. Tonight, I'll be taking a special someone on a date," Isaac said with a shrug.
"Whaaaaa?!" Jenny exclaimed with a very shocked look on her face.
"That's great, Isaac!" Kiki said with a smile. "Who is it?"
"Pearl."
There was a moment of silence from the others, before it was broken by none other than Lars. The jerk started laughing at Isaac, earning him a frown from the blonde.
"Y-You're actually going out with one of those freaks!?" Lars asked, before laughing some more.
"Those 'freaks' are my best friends, and they're saved this world more times than you can complete a pull-up," Isaac said, arms crossed. This caused Lars to stop laughing and glare at him.
"Wait, I remember Pearl!" Kiki said, snapping her fingers in realization. "She's the one with the gem in her forehead, right?"
"The very one."
"Well come on, man! Details! What happened?" Jenny impatiently asked, wanting to know more. Isaac sat down at the table and told them all about how he asked out Pearl on the date.
"Aw~ That's so sweet!" Kiki said.
"Nice," said Buck with an approving nod.
"So, what's the plan for the date?" Sadie asked as she walked over with Isaac's order.
As he took the bag, Isaac sighed. "I'm not sure," he admitted. "Pearl isn't a human. She's a Gem. I can't just take her out for dinner."
"How come?"
"Pearl doesn't eat. Literally, she's grossed out by the process of eating."
"What about dancing?" Sour Cream suggested. "Dude, I've got another gig going on tonight."
"Huh, Pearl does like dancing," Isaac said. However, Sour Cream's gigs were something that would be like a nightclub. Being around that many people dancing rather wildly might put off the white Gem. But then again, it was worth a try.
"Gazing up at the stars, man. That's how you should end the date," Buck said with a small smile. Now that was something Isaac would love to do with Pearl.
"Heh, and if you're lucky, you'll get to fuck her," Lars said.
"LARS!" Sadie threw a napkin dispenser at him. Lars screamed and ducked behind the counter to avoid it.
"What!? It's true!" Lars said defensively as the girls in the coffee shop glared at him.
"I'm not dating her to get in her pants, Lars," Isaac said with a glare. "I'm dating her because I like her."
"Well, I think you'll make Pearl very happy on your date," Sadie said with a supportive smile.
"Oh my stars, I'm not ready for this date," Pearl said in a bit of a panic. Sitting on the couch, she was freaking out as the others gathered around her. "What was I thinking…"
"Ah, but Pearl. It's wonderful that you're going on a date with Isaac," Steven said with his usual happy smile. "I'm so happy for you!"
"But I don't know anything about being on a date!" Pearl exclaimed, still anxious. "I've never been on a date before!"
"Pearl, relax," Garnet said, placing a hand on her friend's shoulder. "You'll be fine. Isaac's a good man. He really does like you."
"Yeah. Like like you~" Amethyst said in a teasing tone.
"Amethyst, please! This is serious!" Pearl snapped.
"I don't see what the big deal is, P. All you're doing is hanging out alone with Isaac. It's no different from when the two of you are training," Amethyst said.
"Amethyst, dates aren't just hanging out. It's about spending time with someone you really like," Steven explained, being his usual cheery self. "And usually after a few romantic dates, you get married, buy a home, have kids…"
"That's what going on a date will do?!" Pearl screamed.
The door to the house slammed open, and Isaac quickly rushed in. "Is everyone okay?!" He asked worriedly. "Pearl, are you okay?"
"Huh?" Pearl was a little startled when he came. But she snapped out of it and became nervous. Seeing the blonde man walking over to her with a worried look, she quickly stood up. "No! I mean, I'm okay. Totally, perfectly normal. I'm not nervous about our date tonight." She then quickly walked away and escaped into the Temple.
Isaac was a little surprised by this and looked at Garnet for answers. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked worriedly.
"She's just a little nervous about going on a date with such a handsome man," Garnet said, giving him a reassuring smirk. "You eat your breakfast. I'll calm her down. Don't worry. She'll be ready for your date."
Sighing in relief, Isaac turned to Steven and smiled. "Alright, goofball. Let's eat. But next time, I'll make breakfast," he said, setting the bag from the Big donut down on the coffee table.
"Yeah!" Steven and Amethyst cheered.
"Not you, Amethyst!"
"Ah boo."
Garnet walked away from the boys and the purple Gem and approached the door to the Temple. She opened it to Pearl's room and walked in to see the white Gem pacing around repeatedly. Telling herself to calm down. Seeing her friend in distress and knowing what it could be about, Garnet jumped onto the platform she was on and walked over to her. Telling herself to calm down.
"Kind of rude to just walk away from your date, Pearl," Garnet said, startling the white Gem. However, Pearl knew that she was right and sighed.
"I know, it's just…I know how much Isaac feels for me, but I can't be allowed to feel the same for him," she said sadly.
"Said who?" Garnet asked, crossing her arms. To her, for Pearl to say that she couldn't be allowed to love Isaac was an idiot and ridiculous. However, she wanted to hear Pearl's reasons.
"No one, but no matter which way I look at how things could progress from this date, there's no outcome where either of us leaves the other. Whether it be Isaac dying or him wanting a child, one of us will eventually be gone forever. I…I can't accept that. Besides, if I really did fall in love with him, I'd be betraying…"
"It's Rose, isn't it?" Garnet asked, getting to the root of the problem. And the root it was, as Pearl's body straightened up and she looked slightly panicked. "Don't bother lying to me, Pearl. I know it's Rose."
"It's…I don't know what…"
"Yes, you do, Pearl," Garnet said in a firm tone. "You're afraid about what happened with Rose. You're afraid that it'll happen to you too. But more importantly, you're afraid of…."
"Garnet, please," Pearl interrupted her, trying to keep herself composed and not break down in front of the Gem leader. "I should apologize to Isaac for how I acted. I'm sure he's worried about me."
Pearl walked towards the gates. She was about to walk past Garnet when the leader placed a hand on her shoulder. "Rose would want you to be happy, Pearl. Isaac is a good man. I know that he'd be the one to give you what Rose couldn't."
The white Gem didn't say anything and just continued walking to the door. When it opened, she saw Isaac talking with Steven, and the young hybrid was laughing. Seeing the blonde-haired man made Pearl smile, despite the uncertain feelings she had going on in her head. Isaac really was a good man. But then she thought about what Garnet said. About Isaac being the one to give her what Rose couldn't.
But how could that be? Rose was the one that gave her everything. Freedom, power, and a reason for living. However, there was still one thing that Pearl wanted from Rose that she never got. Pearl blushed when she thought about what Garnet's words actually meant, which grew when Isaac noticed her.
"Hey, Pearl. Are you feeling okay?" He asked, walking up to her.
"Oh, I'm fine. I was just so full of excitement for our date tonight!" Pearl exclaimed with a great big grin.
Isaac stared at her before giggling a bit. "Pearl, it's okay to be nervous. I've never taken a girl on a date, let alone a Gem," he said with a sheepish smile.
"The date will have to wait, Isaac," Garnet said, walking out of the Temple and approaching the others. "We've got a job to do."
"This place is even bigger and more weapon-y than I remember," Steven quipped, grinning as he passed by bushes of large strawberries. Garnet's job for them would have the Crystal Gems return to the old Gem battlefield. Lion was with them, upon Steven's insistence.
As he walked with the Gems across the fields of strawberries, Isaac stared at each of the ancient weapons that were dug into the ground. "You're not the only one," Isaac asked, passing by an exceptionally massive sword. "Pearl, you said that there was once a battle here, right?"
"As a matter of fact, you're correct, Isaac!" Pearl said with a bright smile as she eagerly shared her wisdom with the young man. "This was the site of a historic battle. Every weapon here was left by a Gem over 5,000 years ago. They serve as the final memorial to all of them. I don't like to disturb it, but Garnet said we can't just leave these lying around."
As the white Gem said that, Garnet picked up a giant battle-axe from a nearby strawberry patch and then hoisted it over her shoulder. "Never know when you might need one of these," she said, holding it up with little to no effort.
"I need one of those all the time!" Steven exclaimed excitedly.
"When would you need a weapon bigger than your own body?" Isaac asked the small boy. "If you're going to use a weapon, then you're going to have to find one that's more your style."
"Okay! Lion, come help me look," he said to the pink feline. However, Lion spotted a butterfly fluttering past his face and walked away after it. Much to Steven's dismay. "Aw, come on."
"You really need to train that thing better," Pearl commented, placing her right hand on her hip as she watched Lion walking over to a nearby cluster of strawberries.
"Oh, we've been making progress," Steven informed brightly. "Now he looks at me when I say his name! Watch: Lion!" However, Lion ignored him and started digging in the ground.
"Seems like he's got a scent of something," Isaac said and walked over to where the pink beast was. Isaac knelt down and punched him aside when he approached Lion's head. Making him stop as the blonde-haired man looked at what he was digging at.
As it turned out, Lion did find something. His digging revealed a pink object hidden in the dirt. Pushing some more dirt back, Isaac grabbed the thing and pulled it out of the ground.
Isaac pulled out a pink sheath from the dirt. It had a smooth, pale white edge and tip, and Rose Quarter's symbol in the center.
"What did Lion find?" Pearl asked curiously.
Isaac looked back at the others and then stood up. "It's a scabbard," he said, turning around and presenting the scabbard to the others. The moment she saw it, Pearl gasped in total shock.
"That scabbard!" She screamed, before rushing over to him. "Gimme that!"
"Hey!" Isaac yelled when Pearl snatched it from his arms rather roughly and held the scabbard close to her chest. "You know, you could ask nicely!" He retorted. "What's so important about that scabbard, anyway?"
"This isn't just any scabbard," Pearl said with verve. "This is the scabbard of Rose's very own sword! The very same sword she skillfully wielded in battle on this very same field centuries ago!"
"Mom fought here?" Steven asked.
Pearl nodded enthusiastically. "That's right! And I fought alongside her."
"Man, I wish I could've seen it!" Amethyst said, almost sounding excited by the very mention of the war she missed out on.
"No, you don't." Garnet firmly shut that down. "Countless Gems were broken here. It was a maelstrom of destruction and death."
"But we won!" Pearl jumped in with a bright grin. "Steven, your mother led us to glorious victory! The odds were against us, and our hearts were uncertain," said the white Gem, speaking more and more dramatically as she continued detailing the tale of the battle. "But we chose to fight alongside Rose and the Gem of War, and here we made our stand against our Homeworld!"
Needless to say, Isaac was amazed by Pearl's recollection. However, when she mentioned the Gem of War, he became curious. "What about Onyx?" Isaac asked. "Was she there during the battle?"
"Hmm? Oh, yes." Pearl said dismissively before smiling dreamingly. Gushing over Rose as well as blushing a light blue blush. Something that didn't go unnoticed by Isaac. "But it was Rose that shined the most as she led her army."
"Yet, it was Onyx that really saved the day during that battle," Garnet said, jumping in on the recounting. "If it weren't for her, we never would have survived."
While Pearl was a little mused that Garnet had to butt in and steal away Rose's thunder, Isaac became more curious about his mother. "What was mom like? I know that she was a great warrior, but you guys don't really talk about her," he said.
"She was more than just a giant warrior, Isaac," Garnet said, smiling as she remembered the black Gem. "She was a demon on the battlefield, but kind and compassionate to everyone she fought with. Even in the worst of times, Onyx would stand against foes that were ten times her size. Whenever the times were at their darkest, she would inspire us to hope. Turning the tide of battles in our favor."
"Wow…" Steven said with stars in his eyes, all while Pearl continued to be in her own world. Largely ignoring Garnet's talk about the Gem of War as she gently clung onto the pink scabbard.
The Crystal Gems warped back home with the weapons they had gathered from the battlefield. Pearl, however, didn't seem to notice.
"This is great!" Amethyst smirked as she turned and headed to the temple with her towering pile of weapons. "My room's been needing another pile."
"Amethyst! Help me with this axe!" Garnet said as she headed for the Temple gate with her own axe.
While Amethyst and Garnet tried to fit the battle-axe through the Temple Gate, conserving and making a commotion in the background, Isaac and Steven remained at the warp pad along with Pearl. Their attention returned to Pearl when she let out a longing sigh beside Isaac.
"It's been ages…" Pearl looked at the scabbard with an almost dreamlike expression and blushed once more.
Isaac glanced at the scabbard before turning to Steven. "Steven, go help them with that," he said, nodding over to the two other Gems that were still struggling to get the axe through the doorway.
"You got it!" Steven said before hopping off the pad and heading to the gate.
With it now just being himself and his date, Isaac turned back to Pearl. "So Pearl, what was Rose like?"
Hearing this question made Pearl smile. It was the same beautiful smile that Isaac came to adore. "She was courageous, and brilliant… And beautiful..." The white Gem glanced at the painting of Rose. It made Isaac smile to see Pearl look so happy. It was as if her happiness radiated off her. That same happiness was there when she turned back to the young man. "Sometimes, you and Steven look so much like your mothers."
"Really?" Isaac asked, before they both turned to Steven, who was still trying to help. However, it wasn't going all too great.
"Yeah, lift it backwards!" encouraged Amethyst.
"Don't you mean pull?" Steven corrected her.
"Yeah, pull, sure."
Isaac chuckled a little as the three of them tried to angle the head of the axe again. He then turned to Pearl and asked, "May I?"
"Hmm? Oh! Yes, of course," Pearl said, handing him scabbard.
Isaac took it and looked it over. He was hoping for something that would trigger a vision. Something that would tell him more about the sword that the scabbard was intended for and where it was. However, no visions came from it.
"Amazing, isn't it? Nothing else could fit so perfectly inside like Rose's sword. For all this time, it's been…incomplete," she told him in a somber tone as she maneuvered her fingers between each other.
"So, where is Rose's sword," he asked.
Pearl hesitated a bit at this, looking nervously for a moment. Their conversation was interrupted when Garnet managed to fit the battle-axe through the door. "That's it! Yeah, you got it!" Amethyst exclaimed, and Steven cheered as they both ran through the door, and it closed behind them.
Leaving Pearl alone to talk to Isaac. "Can you keep a secret?"
"What kind of secret," asked Isaac, quite intrigued.
"It's a special secret, even to Garnet and Amethyst. Rose had a place that she kept hidden from all but me and your mother," Pearl said with a sly grin, her voice still in a whisper. "In fact, your mother helped in its construction, and thus, she and Rose were the only ones that could activate it. That place is both yours and Steven now, and I can show it to you!"
"Really? So this is your idea of a date?" Isaac asked with a sly smile as he crossed his arms.
Pearl instantly blushed when he flirted with her. Especially now, with the scabbard bringing back so much uncertainty, not to mention confusion for what she felt for Isaac. However, she gave him a cheeky smile and lightly slapped his chest. "Well, not exactly. But I guess we could consider this our date," she said slyly.
Isaac smirked and chuckled. "Alright, then shall we, milady?" He asked, offering her his hand, trying to act suave with her.
Pearl giggled and placed her hand on his. "Yes, we shall," she said, blushing again. Together, they warped.
They ended up warping to a canyon before beginning a three-hour hike together. As the two walked side by side together, Isaac held hands with Pearl and held the scabbard in one hand. While it wasn't like how he imagined their first date, he was just happy to see Pearl happy. And she was very much happy. Together, they talked and laughed about their pasts. Isaac would talk about his friends and family, even though he expressed regrets for leaving them to be with the Crystal Gems. Pearl understood and sympathized with the newest member of the team. She comforted him by saying that even though it was a difficult choice, the white Gem was more than happy that he had come to them.
Soon, they would reach the face of a towering cliff. Luckily, however, a hidden staircase was cut into the mountain. Pearl said that Onyx made it, as normally Rose and her would have to climb up to the armory.
However, that didn't make the journey to the top of the cliff any easier. While Pearl had no problems with walking up thousands of stairs, Isaac was only so strong. He started lagging behind, but Pearl stayed behind and walked beside him.
"So Pearl, why did Rose and my mother keep this place a secret?" Isaac asked. His breaths became labored. "And why were you the only one she showed it to?"
"Well, that's because I was Rose's sole confidant," Pearl remarked with a proud grin, now holding the scabbard in her arms, "for the words she could share with no one else, I was there to listen. Of course, there was also Onyx, but it was mainly me she trusted."
"Why'd she keep so many secrets?" Isaac asked, not understanding fully why someone like Rose would need to keep secrets in the first place. Especially since the Gems talked openly about her. But deep within his soul, Isaac couldn't shake a feeling that he knew, even though he didn't.
"She had to, Isaac!" Pearl proclaimed, still smiling with admiration for the now-gone pink Gem. "It's the mark of a great leader, knowing just what to keep hidden from everyone you're trying to protect. Everyone except me!"
"Protect them from what?" Isaac asked, doubtful of her logic. "All secrets ever really do is hurt the people you're trying to protect."
"I know it seems difficult to understand, Isaac," Pearl interjected pointedly, "but if you were in her position, you'd understand. Then again, I don't really blame you. You weren't there during the war, and I thank the stars for that. But believe me when I tell you that what Rose kept hidden from others, she only did it for the greater good. Just like everything she did."
Pearl let out an admiring sigh, as Isaac stared at her. There was no denying that the Gem he had fallen for admired Rose greatly and spoke of her as if she were a goddess. It made sense. After all, she knew Rose for a long time, and had followed her loyally longer than the others had. But there was something else that was going on with her.
It all started when she snatched the sheath away from Isaac. It was almost as if it were a piece of treasure that Pearl's been searching for for a long time. And then, when Garnet pointed out that it was really Onyx that won the battle, Pearl looked almost annoyed, as if any implication that didn't sing praises for Rose was an insult.
He glanced down at the scabbard and saw how she was clinging to it with a tight grip. It was almost as if she was obsessed with it. Or rather, obsessed with Rose. As if she was trying to hold onto the memory of Rose. In a way, Isaac could understand, but at the same time, it set him on edge.
But even so, he let it go as they eventually reached the top. It was there that they came up to an open doorway. They both walked in as Isaac saw that they had come to a familiar location.
"Welcome to Rose's Secret Armory!" Pearl happily announced, presenting a huge platform in the middle of a flooded cave to Isaac. She then smiled widely at Isaac, believing that he would be in wonder.
However, Isaac was more confused than happy. "Wait, this was Rose's armory? I thought it was just someplace she used to store giant pennies!"
Pearl's smile quickly faded away. "Wait, what?"
"Hm? Oh, right, I've been here before," He said, before walking towards the platform. Pearl just stood there for a moment with a shocked expression. The white Gem then quickly rushed over and stopped in front of Isaac
"Uh, no, you didn't," Pearl said, trying to reason away his previous visit. "You must be thinking of someplace else, I'm the only other Crystal Gem that's witnessed the Armory's magnificence before now."
"Sorry to break it to you, Pearl but Lion already showed us this place's magnificence," Isaac said sarcastically. Remembering his battle with the machine.
"T-The lion?!" The white Gem exclaimed, eyes widened with disbelief. "The lion showed you the armory?!"
"Not just me, but Steven and Connie too," Isaac said before walking around Pearl and going up the pedestal stairs. Pearl followed him as they walked towards the center of the platform. "Steven was the one that activated it, so I'm not sure how I'm…"
Isaac was cut off when he stepped on the center. Just like when Steven activated the armory, the floor started glowing. However, the foundation turned black for only a moment before shrinking towards the circle at the center. A beam of white light shone from the circle, before the pedestal rose up from it. However, this time, it had changed. The symbol was black, and the thorns were replaced by chains.
"Did…you know it could do that?" He asked Pearl.
"Of course, I knew! That's why I brought you here!" His crush huffed in frustration. "Now, let me show you how you can access the artillery."
"You mean like this?" Isaac walked up to the pedestal and pressed his hand on the hand-shaped stone. "Okay, let's see if I can remember how to do this…"
First, Isaac poked himself in the cheek. At that moment, the armory activated, and the first collection of weapons rose out of the floor. "We got some... axes," Isaac said as the axes spread out.
"The Axes of Ages?" Pearl called out, taken aback by the sight of the familiar weapons.
When the axes disappeared into the ground, Isaac pressed his finger into his shoulder and the statue toting the array of flails rose up. "Statue with flails," he quipped.
"The Heretic's Anguish?!" Pearl exclaimed, growing even more disgruntled.
"We got a…" Isaac poked his side, and the cannons were brought up. "O-oh! Triple laser light cannons."
"The Quartizine Trio!"
Isaac pokes his nose. "Boop! And... a whole lot of armor," he said as the sets of armor rose up all around them.
"The Armor of the Fallen!" Pearl scowled, getting frustrated that she wasn't the one to have shown him what the armory held.
"Hang on, I'm trying to remember what Steven did to summon the swords," Isaac said, but it seemed like he was able to summon them either way.
Without knowing what he did, Isaac commanded the pink pillar that housed the swords to raise up. From it, the swords spread out before him and Pearl.
Isaac turned to Pearl. "So, you see Rose's sword?" He asked. However, just by the look of anguish on her face, Isaac knew the answer was no.
"It…it's not here," she said as she started walking down the role of swords. As she did so, Pearl began to panic the more she didn't see Rose's sword. "How? How could it not be here!? Could she have lost it? No, there's way someone like Rose would have been so clumsy…"
"Pearl, calm down," Isaac said, taking his hand off the pedestal. This deactivated the armory, and the swords returned back inside the floor. "Maybe she hid it someplace else."
"But where? There's nowhere else she could have hidden it!" Pearl exclaimed, before Isaac walked over and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Pearl, I know that you want to find that sword, but right now, I need you to chill," Isaac said firmly but softly. "Let's first start from the beginning. What did her sword look like?"
"...A-Are you saying I wouldn't remember what Rose's sword looked like?" Pearl practically shouted indignantly, thinking that Isaac suggested that she could have forgotten. She then projected a hologram of the sword for Isaac to see. "It's a straight bladed saber that's pink with a red handle. There are vines etched in the guard that connect to a rose-shaped pommel."
"Wait, did you say a pink sword?" He asked, interrupting her after getting a closer look at the weapon. "I think I may know where it is."
Pearl's hologram turned into an exclamation mark before she looked at him, dumbfounded. "Huh?"
"Dadadadadada…there it is!" Steven sang as Isaac reached into Lion's glowing mane and pulled out the sword of Rose Quartz back at the Temple. As Isaac held it up and showed the others the weapon, the Gem were all quite astonished to see it after all this time. None more so than Pearl.
"Rose's sword, how did it get in there?" She asked in surprise.
"Well, it turns out Lion's got this massive pocket dimension inside his mane," Isaac explained as he handed the sword to Pearl, who slotted it in the scabbard. The dimension was a vast savannah with tall pink meadows that stretched to a tall pine taffy-colored tree resembling an acacia tree, atop a grassy hill. Beneath and within the tree were what Isaac could assume were Rose Quartz's most treasured possessions.
One of them was a treasure chest that Isaac couldn't open.
"Yeah, and there's a ton of stuff in there, I keep stuff in him too," Steven said before jumping into Lion's mane. A second later, the young hybrid jumped out. Only this time, he was sitting atop his bike. "Ta-da!" He grinned proudly, riding the bike around the den a bit.
"B-B-But how?" Pearl asked no one in particular. She approached Lion and tried to enter his mane, but he growled at her. Making it clear she wasn't welcome inside of it. "Does Lion have something to do with Rose?"
"Oh... of course! THAT'S why he's pink!" Amethyst exclaimed in realization.
"It's a little obvious," said Garnet.
"But... Rose didn't have a lion," the white Gem said quietly as she shook her head.
"It seems like her stuff in there," said Steven as he put his helmet and bike back into Lion.
"NO!" Pearl protested firmly, reaching her boiling point after everything that's happened and had been in denial. Blushing in her frustration. "Rose didn't have a lion, because if Rose had a lion I would have known about it!"
"Rose kept many things secret, even from us," Garnet said somberly. "The only other person she trusted more than anyone was Onyx."
"But she trusted me! She never kept secrets from me!" Pearl stressed distraughtly as her eyes started tearing up. "I was the one she told everything!"
"Yeah, but you didn't tell us everything," Isaac pointed out, making Pearl look at him. "It was you yourself that told me that keeping secrets from everyone was the making of a great leader. And that she did it for the greater good."
"Besides, you're not the ONLY one who misses her!" Amethyst yelled, getting pissed off at how Pearl was acting.
"YOU can't understand how I feel!" the white Gem shouted at her, gripping the sheathed sword tightly. "NONE of you had what we had!"
"Pearl, that's enough! You're being unfair," Isaac said, trying to calm her down.
"What do you know about being unfair, Isaac Infinite?!" Pearl yelled into his face, making him step back in surprise. "How can you say I'm being unfair when you're here, making me feel things I shouldn't be feeling! Making me betray her!"
"Mom probably just wanted to protect you, like everyone else," Steven said, trying to calm Pearl down.
"WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!" Pearl screamed at him, her tone far harsher than Steven is used to. "YOU'VE NEVER EVEN MET HER!"
She slammed her fist into the wall out of sheer frustration, causing the building to tremble for a moment. However, this would cause the painting of Rose to come loose from where it hung and start to come down. Pearl gasped in alarm as she looked up at the falling image of her beloved leader.
Luckily, Garnet quickly caught it before it could land on the ground.
In that moment, Pearl remained frozen in place, shocked and shaken by what she said. She looked at both Isaac and Steven, who were both equally stunned. It was too much for the white Gem to handle.
"Pearl…" Isaac reached out for her, but it was too late. Pearl turned heel and ran away towards the warp pad. Sobbing as she clung onto the sword.
"Fine, go! Go cry about it!" Amethyst shouted at her. A second later, Pearl warped away.
As Garnet hung the painting back on the wall, Isaac stared at the warp pad while Steven turned to his two remaining guardians. "Where did she go?"
"Who cares?" Amethyst glowed and walked away. "I HATE it when she gets like this."
Steven turned to the Gem leader. "Garnet?" Garnet didn't not reply, and Steven wiped his tears in his eyes. "Is she okay?"
Garnet remained silent.
Pulling his eyes away from the warp pad, Isaac looked at Garnet. "Did you know that this would happen?" He asked her.
"...Do you remember what I told you about Pearl, Isaac?" Garnet asked with a somber tone. This surprised Isaac as she continued. "And how I'm hoping that you would be the one to give her the love she deserves."
Isaac was confused at first, until he started thinking back to everything that's been happening with Pearl. The scabbard, the journey for the sword, how happy she's been and her distraught and frustration all had one thing in common. They all stem from one person.
As the young man looked up at the painting of Rose Quartz, Isaac finally realized what Garnet was trying to tell him.
Seeing that he finally understood, Garnet nodded when she looked at him. "Go to her, Isaac," she simply said.
"Right. Steven, I want you to stay here," Isaac told his brother and marched towards the warp pad. "I'll bring her back."
"But do you know where she is?" Steven asked worriedly.
"I've got a hunch where she might," Isaac said before warping away. Going to the very place that started all this.
And his hunch would turn out to be correct. When Isaac appeared in the Gem Battlefield, the night had already fallen over the rolling expanse of the oversize fruits and massive weapons. With only the full moon as his light source and his determination to see the Gem he had fallen in love with, Isaac ran in the direction where the sheath was found.
It didn't take long for Isaac to spot Pearl standing alone with her back turned away from them, embracing Rose's sword. Her expression was awash with grief and despair.
"Pearl?" Isaac called to her with great concern. He tried approaching her, but Pearl quickly ran off.
She stopped and looked back at Isaac, glaring at him in anger. "Stay away from me, Isaac!" She shouted fiercely, before sprinting off again.
Determined, Isaac continued to pursue her. Running as fast as he could to catch up to her. "Pearl, wait! I just wanna talk!" He shouted earnestly. However, Pearl ran in a different direction and jumped off a cliff towards a cluster of floating chunks of earth. She landed on the first one and started traversing up into the air.
"Get away from me!" She shouted at him with a hateful scowl. Ignoring the hurt expression on Isaac's face, the white Gem continued jumping from platform to platform.
However, no matter how harsh her words were, Isaac didn't stop. He rushed towards the edge of the cliff and jumped off it. Landing on the first floating earth chunk before continuing on after Pearl. Jumping across the pieces of earth in order to reach her.
"Say all you want, Pearl! I'm not going to leave you!" Isaac yelled. Pearl ignored the blonde man as she continued to jump higher. Isaac struggled to catch up, but knew that she would run out of platforms to escape. That, and his determination kept him going.
However, he stopped when he reached the top-most chunk. Pearl stood on a massive platform across from him. All that stood in his way was a large gap that separated the two of them.
"Go away!" she shouted back at him, not looking back at him as she stood alone.
"Pearl! I know what's going on! I know why you feel this way!" Isaac shouted to her. "Please, just talk to me!"
However, his pleas fell on deaf ears. Knowing what he had to do, Isaac looked down at the massive gap that led to the earth. Then he took a few steps back. Isaac understood that he might not make it across, but he didn't care. He rushed forward before making a bold jump across the gap to reach Pearl. Time almost seemed to slow down for him as he flew across the air towards the last platform, and for a moment, Isaac was sure he was going to make it.
That was until Pearl turned her head towards him. Her face was a mixture of anguish, fury, sadness, and agony written in full display to Isaac. But it was the look of intense disdain for the hybrid that caused him to pause.
That moment's hesitation was enough to break his forward momentum, and he started plummeting down towards the earth. And this was not lost on Pearl.
"ISAAC!" Pearl screamed, her fury dissipating into a panic when she realized he wasn't going to make it. She was about to jump down after him. Fortunately, Isaac quickly grabs onto one of the roots growing out of the platform at the last second.
Holding onto the root for dear life, Isaac refused to look down at the ground. He reached up for another root to grab onto. But suddenly, the root he was holding onto snapped! Isaac began to fall to the ground once more…
That was until a hand grabbed him at the last moment.
"Isaac!" Pearl screamed, sobbing as she held onto him while hanging from a root. While still clearly going through her breakdown, seeing how close she was to losing another person she loved was too much for her. "Isaac, I'm so sorry! I should never have said all those horrible things to you! I-"
"Pearl!" Isaac said, getting her to shut sobbing for a moment. "We'll talk about it when we're not in danger."
With tears still falling from her eyes, Pearl shakingly nodded and pulled him up. Once he grabbed onto a root, the white Gem quickly climbed up the platform. Isaac followed behind her. Going at a slower pace. His work was far from done.
As the hybrid rose from the edge and climbed atop the large platform, Isaac felt exhausted. Both physically and emotionally. But the warrior pushed his own feelings to the side as he looked ahead and saw Pearl sitting on the ground just several feet away.
Pearl had her back turned to him with her knees pulled to her chest and a hand cupped over her mouth as she let out small, depressed sobs. Rose's scabbard rested close beside her, but she wasn't focused on that. "I can't believe I did that…" she muttered shamefully to herself. "I almost lost him, just like I lost her. But why him? Why am I feeling this way? What would she think if I chose him…over her…"
Isaac listened to her belittle herself with a deep frown. Coming to understand why Pearl was mad at him. However, despite this, he knew that to talk to her.
"Pearl," he began as he walked towards her before stopping a few steps away from her.
The white Gem's shoulder dropped a little. "Sometimes…you even sound like your mother…as if you were Onyx" she admitted.
Isaac looked at her with confusion.
Pearl then reached down and dug her hand a bit into the grass. "Those visions that you have…they're her memories, aren't they? You're remembering everything that she remembered," she revealed to him. "... Isaac, what do you remember about this place? What kind of memories have you seen?"
Isaac sighed and looked down sadly. "Some things that I think mom would have wanted me to see…and many more things…she'd want me to forget…"He turned his right arm, his gaze following the chain tattoo until it reached his gemstone.
Pearl stood up as Isaac approached her, standing beside her. "There was only one good memory of this place that I remember. We were right here, over 5,000 years ago," she said, before she summoned a hologram of Rose Quartz from her gemstone.
As he stared at the back of Rose, Isaac remained silent as he saw Pearl humbly bow to one knee out of loyalty and respect.
[Play music: God Of War - Ghost Of Sparta (OST) - The Fallen Brother]
The hologram of Rose turned to face the white Gem. Pearl spoke for it as well as herself. Acting out the conversation that took place between them. "Pearl…"
"Yes?" Pearl immediately answered.
"I'm going to stay with Onyx and fight for this planet," Rose said with a worried look washing over her gorgeous face. However, Isaac could tell that she held feelings of regret and appeared to be exhausted. No doubt from fighting. "You don't have to do this with me."
"But I want to!" Pearl professed boldly.
"I know you do," Holo-Rose said, the concern on her expression deepening. "Please, please understand if we lose, we'll be killed, and if we win, we can never go home."
"But why would I ever want to go home, if you're here?" Pearl asked, smiling brightly even though she still looked sad.
At first, Holo-Rose seemed taken aback by this, but then she chuckled with a warm smile. That smile remained as she offered her hand to Pearl.
"My Pearl," she said sincerely. Pearl's voice sounded so soothing and sweet and fond when speaking through Rose's lips.
"You're wonderful…" Pearl sighed as she grasped Holo-Rose's hand. Interlocking their fingers together. However, all good things come to an end, and the hologram bursts into bits of light soon after.
A beat of silence followed as Isaac stared at the white Gem. Slowly sitting down next to her, Isaac spoke what he figured out at the temple.
"You were in love with Rose, weren't you?" he said in a melancholy voice. Pearl's body flinched a little, but she didn't turn to him. Too ashamed to look at him.
"I'm sorry, Isaac…" she began, her voice barely breaking. "Rose did so much for me. She showed me that I was more than just what I was made to be. She taught me how to fight, to be my own Gem… and how to live. And so, everything I ever did, I did for her. Now she's gone…but I'm still here…."
Pearl closed her eyes and shut her mouth, unable to hold back the tears and began to sob. Seeing Pearl break down, Isaac instinctively pulled her into a hug. Wrapping his arms around the white Gem and holding her tightly. Whispering soft nothingness to her to calm her down. Soon, Pearl's sobbing had subsided, and she allowed herself to be held by him.
"Sometimes, I wonder if she can see me through Steven's eyes," she said, sniffling a little. "What would she think of me now…?"
Isaac hesitated for a moment before speaking. "She would think what I think: That you're a fantastic Gem, Pearl. She'd want you to be happy, Pearl."
Pearl let out a soft gasp when she heard that.
"Rose would want you to be happy, Pearl. Isaac is a good man. I know that he'd be the one to give you what Rose couldn't."
"Can I ask you something," she asked, her face still pressed against his shirt. "What do you feel for me, Isaac? I want to know the truth."
Isaac's eyes widened, surprised by the question. However, he answered her truthfully. "Pearl, what I feel for you goes deeper than just admiration," he said in a soft tone. Pearl pulled away and looked at him with wide eyes. "I have very serious feelings for you, Pearl. Feelings that are hard for me to explain in any other way but one. I am in love with you, Pearl. However, you're my friend first and foremost. And…And, if…you don't have those same feelings for me, then I'll forget about them."
"Even though it would hurt you?" Pearl asked, taken aback that he would do that.
"I'll take the pain," Isaac said, knowing that she was likely going to reject him. "I'd hate to lose you because of them."
There was a moment of silence, before Pearl gave Isaac a sympathetic smile. "Ever since Rose died, there has been a single person that had been able to make me feel what I felt for her," she said with a sad smile. "No Gem and no human."
Isaac sighed sadly.
"And then you came along."
That astonished Isaac, but he listened as Pearl continued. Smiling at the young man as she reached to his hand and intertwined their fingers. "Isaac, you're a dear friend to me. Granted, we haven't known each other for too long, but in the time that I've known you, I've been able to open myself to you in ways I wouldn't have with most people. When I'm around you, I feel so safe and secure, and you're one of the few people that can make me laugh. I'm constantly amazed by your courage, strength, and wisdom every time I'm with you. What I'm trying to say is that…"
Pearl, however, stopped herself. She was unable to ultimately say what she was going to say. Not now. Not when she was reminded of her love for Rose just a few moments ago. And it crushed her. Pearl hated herself for not being strong enough to go through with it, especially when he looked at her with those bright green eyes that brightened her spirits every day.
Rose was gone. Pearl had a chance to be happy with Isaac. So why can't she move on?
"I…I so sorry, I-I can't-"
"I can't seem to tell you that I'm falling in love with you, Isaac." That's what she wanted to say. To tell him that she felt the same way.
When she couldn't, Isaac stopped her by placing a finger on her lips. "If you don't feel comfortable saying it, you don't have to," Isaac told her kindly.
Pearl sighed and smiled sadly at him. "Thank you. Isaac…" she whispered with gratefulness. However, even if she couldn't tell him, due to her still lingering feelings for Rose, the white Gem still wanted to show Isaac how she felt about him.
So, she grasped the back of Isaac's head and pulled his face to her's. She stopped for a second, her nose brushing against his. Isaac took that moment to lean, wrap his arms around her waist, and gave Pearl a deep, passionate kiss.
The white Gem gave a contented moan from this and reciprocated the kiss. As they parted, Isaac, lost in the feel of Pearl's soft lips, found himself unable to stop himself from going back for more. Making her moan again before Pearl pulled away.
"Is there a place we can go to? I don't exactly feel like returning to the temple," she said shyly.
Isaac paused for a moment, unsure of what she was thinking. She was likely still ashamed of how she acted with the others. So, he nodded and said, "I know a place."
[LEMON ALERT! EXPLICIT CONTENT HAD BEGUN!]
That place was Onyx's island cabin on Mask Island. After entering the small home, Isaac texted Steven and let him know that he had Pearl and that she calmed down. He explained in the text that they were staying at his mother's home on Mask Island and that he would bring her back tomorrow.
Afterwards, he set his phone down on the table, along with Rose's saber. "We can stay here for the night and then head back in the morning," he said, walking over to the fire pit. Pearl was standing behind. As he threw another lodge on the fire, Isaac didn't notice the bright teal light behind him.
"I know Gem's don't sleep, but I'll sleep on the couch if you want to lay on the…." Isaac trailed off when he looked back at her, and his jaw dropped. His eyes widened with stars in them, and a big blush covered his face.
Pearl was completely nude in front of him. Her skin was a gorgeous, milky white color. Her breasts, while small, were bigger than what Isaac was expecting. Even so, they were still supple, perky, and beautiful to behold with their blue nipples. Pearl was skinny, but she still had a rather shapely ass, long legs, and her vagina was hairless.
"Pearl…"
"I know that this is sudden, but when Rose was still around…I would spy on her and Greg and would see them doing some…" Pearl paused as she blushed even brighter. "...Adult things…"
Isaac raised an eyebrow. "You spied on them having sex, didn't you?" He asked with a knowing smile.
"I'm not exactly proud of that, but…I want to know…what it's like," Pearl admitted with a smile.
Isaac walked up to her. "Are you sure?"
Pearl nodded and stroked his cheek. "Please, do this with me. I'm all yours," she said seductively, before kissing Isaac. Her hand moved down and started squeezing and stroking his crotch through his pants to get him excited.
To say that Isaac was surprised was an understatement. One moment he was comforting Pearl and learning of how she's conflicted with moving on from Rose and accepting her feeling for him, and then the next moment Pearl's offering to have sex with him.
But who was he to complain?
Isaac returned the kiss eagerly, placing his rough hands on her soft, smooth skin. Holding Pearl close to his body as he felt her body. Kissing her passionately before he pulled away and grabbed Pearl underneath her legs.
"Oh!" Pearl gasped as she was picked up in a bridal style, and Isaac walked her over to the bed.
Upon reaching the bed, Isaac laid Pearl gently on it and proceeded to strip himself of his shirt, shoes, pants, and then finally his underwear. Revealing his hardened manhood to Pearl. The white Gem gaped at the sight of the large cock that stood at attention.
"Are…Are you going to put it in?" She asked, somewhat nervous as she was still primarily naive in the ways of sexual intercourse.
Isaac smiled lovingly. "Not yet. I'm first going to do this," he said before kissing her on the lips and then moving down. Gently fondling them before opening his mouth and taking one of her blue nipples, and began to pleasure her tit.
Pearl gasped, having never felt this magnificent sensation before in her long, long life. She moaned as her new lover sucked on her nipple. "Ah! Oh, Isaac…more. Please…keep doing that," she moaned as she felt his tongue circling around her nipple.
Pulling away, Isaac smiled at the white Gem lovingly. "Trust me, this is only the beginning," he said, before moving to her neglected nipple and started playing with that one while Pearl moaned in pleasure. She placed her hand on him and ran her fingers through her blonde hair.
He then let go of her breast before crawling down her pussy. Gripping Pearl's smooth thighs, Isaac opened her legs and lightly brushed his fingers over her snatch, causing Pearl to gasp. But Isaac was far from done, as he began licking her pussy's lips, bringing even more sensual pleasure to the white Gem.
"Ahhhh…." Pearl moaned loudly as her back arched and her fingers clawed at the sheets beneath her. That pleasure would skyrocket when Isaac spread her lips open and slid his tongue deep into her womanhood. Eagerly licking and tasting her moist insides as his nostrils were filled with her smell.
"Oh my stars, yes!" Pearl gasped and tilted her head back as he ate her out. One of her hands went to her breast as her other hand reached down and pressed his head into her pussy. "Keep going. It feels so good!"
Pearl's praises and the taste of the white Gem's juices encouraged Isaac to continue. The tension in her body started to build to uncontrollable levels. Unable to hide the pressure building up in her womanhood, Pearl screamed, "Isaac! Something's happening! I feel something coming out!"
While pumping his fingers into her pussy, Isaac peeked up at her. "You're about to cum, Pearl?"
"Cum? What does that mean?" Pearl asked innocently while still making rather lewd noises and expressions.
"It means you're about to reach your climax. Allow me to show you," Isaac said with a smile. Isaac saw her clit and smiled. The new Crystal Gem moved up and licked it while pumping his fingers in and out of her.
"OH FUCK!" Pearl cried out, unable to keep herself from using profanity. Her eyes began to roll into the back of her head. Going crazy from the pleasure she's never felt in her thousands of years of living. More loud moans came from her lips as Isaac's fingers sped up. "Oh, stars!" She screamed when the white Gem couldn't take it anymore. "I-I'm cumming!"
The Gem felt as if jolts of electricity coursed throughout her body as she climaxed. Cum sprayed from her womanhood as her back arched off the bed. Isaac sat between her legs and watched in awe as his friend climaxed before him. Some of her nectar landed on his face. With his hand soaked from her cum, Isaac licked it off and wiped the rest off his face. Sitting up, he looked down at Pearl.
Pearl's face was twisted with pleasure, having never felt anything so excellent in her long life. Her mind began to refocus when she realized that Isaac was kissing her again. Forcing his tongue into her mouth, which allowed her to taste her own juices. This made the aching inside of her rekindle itself as she made out with him. Isaac shivered as he felt Pearl's hands running up and down his broad back and shoulders. Her nails left marks as they dragged across his skin.
The two friends collided their tongues as they made out passion while Isaac slowly began to grind sensually against her body. Both of their minds were clouded by lust for one another as Isaac's cock rubbed against her wet entrance. Pulling away from the kiss, Isaac smiled down at Pearl.
"It's time for the main event. Are you sure you're ready for this?" He asked lovingly.
"Yes…" Pearl said, her voice barely a whisper. "Isaac…take me…"
And take her he did. Kissing his virginity goodbye, Isaac rubbed her hot pussy with the tip of his cock, making Pearl arch her back. Then, he slowly pushed into her. Pearl's head rolled back as she felt her cunt being slowly filled by Isaac's manhood until her pussy was bottomed out. Rearing her head back on the pillow, Pearl let out a moan as she crossed her legs around his waist. Pushing his lower body further against her so she could take all of his massive organ inside of her.
Isaach himself was on cloud nine, savoring how warm, wet, and tight Pearl's pussy was. "You don't have a hymen?" He asked, noticing that entering into her went smoother than he thought.
Pearl giggled slightly as she gasped. "You forget that Gems can shapeshift. When I formed my vagina, I excluded the hymen," she said, before her tone turned seductively. She then pecked him on the lips. "And I didn't form any eggs needed for procreation, so you can ejaculate freely inside of me."
In Isaac's mind, he thought there could have been a better way of saying that. However, the message was still the same, and if he wasn't wholly erected already, he certainly was now.
"Now enough talk," Pearl gasped, holding him tight. "Make love to me."
Pearl gave a cute squeak as Isaac pulled out, with the hybrid groaning as he felt the white Gem's walls trying to pull him back in. Then he pushed back in, hitting her cervix, bringing tremendous pleasure to Pearl. Isaac loved out she felt around him, as her tightness enticed him to want to fuck her hard.
Pearl's moans were like music to Isaac's ears as he held her tight while pounding her pussy. Every thrust into her caused Pearl to give a squeak or a moan as she felt her walls being stretched. "Ah! Isaac!"
Her wet womanhood was unlike anything he'd ever experienced before. "So hot…so tight!" Isaac gasped, burying his face into her shoulder as he gradually picked up the pace. Using more and more of his strength, he slammed into her pussy hard enough that the bed was rocking violently into the wall behind it and the floorboards were creaking. This, combined with the screams and cries of ecstasy being let out by Pearl, filled the cabin.
"Oh, yes! Oh goodness, yes!" Pearl screamed out as each thrust brought unbelievable pleasure to her. When Isaac leaned down and started sucking on one of her nipples again, she gripped his back as she bucked into him. This would make his cock go all the way into her womb. "Aaaaaah! Yes! Yes! Please, more! Oooohh, fuck me! Fuck me harder, Isaac!"
Never in Isaac's wildest dreams did he ever imagine Pearl talking dirty like that, but hearing those words coming from her made him surge with lust. Isaac brought his hips up and began pistoning deep into Pearl's pussy with even more power. The bed banged against the wall even harder as he began to thrust into her as hard as he could. The sounds of their skin slapping against each other complimented the lustful cries of pleasure from the white Gem.
"Pearl!" He grunted as he repeatedly slammed into her tight hole as it tightened around him.
"Isaac! Harder! Faster!" Pearl pleaded, loving the feeling of Isaac's cock inside of her. More dirty words that she heard from her time on Earth slipped from her lips, as drool leaked from the corners of her smiling mouth. "Fuck me! Slam my pussy! Harder! You're gonna make me cum again!"
"I'm gonna cum too…." He grunted as he inched his face close to her until his head was pressing against her gemstone.
Using what little strength she had, Pearl reached her hands to his and interlocked their fingers together. "Inside!" Pearl pleaded, kissing him madly. "Fill my pussy to the brim! Cum inside me! Yes! Yes! Yes!"
"Ah! Pearl!" Isaac yelled, exploding inside of Pearl.
"OH! ISAAAAAAAAAAAAC!" Pearl screamed as she reached her climax. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as her walls tightened around Isaac's cock. She could feel his semen pouring into her inner sanctum up to the brim as it spread all over her warm depths. It was so much that her womb couldn't contain anymore. Causing some of it to splatter on Pearl's thighs.
In the middle of their climax, Isaac leaned his head down to Pearl and pressed his lips against hers. Both lovers shared a passionate kiss as they connected their tongues together, until it all ended after one last spurt of cum was released inside of Pearl.
[LEMON END]
"Oooooh…." Pearl cooed, groaning when Isaac pulled out of her. The white Gem's usual calm and collective face was now filled with crippling pleasure as the young man's sperm flowed out of her flooded pussy and formed a small puddle on the bed. Her hand rubbed her belly as she felt the heat of the cum inside of her. "Ohhh…it's so hot…It feels like I'll melt…"
Isaac laid down next to her and stared up at the ceiling with her. "So…did you enjoy your first time?" He asked with a smirk. Knowing what her answer would be.
"It was…it was incredible!" Pearl responded between pants as she was finally coming back to her senses. "I had no idea sex could feel this incredible. Will…we be able to do this again?"
"Hell yeah," Isaac said. The young man then pulled her tight into his arms, laying their heads together on the pillows of the bed. He then kissed her on the lips. "So…I guess we're a couple now, huh?"
Pearl returned the kiss with one of her own and wrapped her arms around Isaac's neck. "You can say that again. Thank you, Isaac."
Isaac smiled at. "Pearl, I just want you to know that…I know that you're still recovering from Rose. Lose isn't easy to get over. So, we'll take it as slow as you want to. But I want you to know that I will do everything in my power to give you the love that you deserve."
Pearl smiled sweetly back at her lover and now boyfriend. "Thank you, Isaac. Why don't you get some sleep," she said.
"And as I sleep, you watch over me?"
"Would that really bother you?"
"Not unless you lay next to me all night."
"I think that can be arranged," Pearl said with a loving smile.
And with that, Isaac closed his eyes and drifted off into the land of dreams. Pearl remained on the bed, holding him in her arms as she smiled lovingly at him. She pulled the covers over them and stayed at Isaac's side.
"Sweet dream, Isaac," she whispered, before kissing his forehead. Never once taking her eyes off of him. Not even to look at Rose's saber.
AN: And just like that, we finally come to the chapter we've all been waiting for, Rose's Scabbard. Isaac got his date with Pearl, learned about Pearl's love for Rose, and then ended with Isaac and Pearl becoming a couple. With the two of them having sex, which I was very excited to do.
I was going to have the date be its own chapter. Where Isaac and Pearl have a great time together before Isaac confesses his feelings to Pearl. The two would then share a kiss, before Pearl would suddenly panic and push him away. Unable to deal with the shame, she would then run away back to the temple. Then in this chapter, Isaac would go with Pearl to the armory to try and find out what was wrong with her. Leading to him finding out about her love for Rose.
Obviously, I scrapped the idea and instead, just decided to go straight into Rose's Scabbard. I just couldn't find the will to continue writing the date chapter, as it was basically a filler chapter. So, I made Isaac and Pearl's date the trip to the armory.
And with that out of the way, the next chapter will take some time to do, as it's another Onyx chapter. In the meantime, I'll be going back to Living in a Frog World, and even starting on Rise of the Heroes of Tomorrow.
Until next time, peace out!
