Adrien came back home exhausted. Their patrol was not even eventful but yet this is the most tired he has ever felt after a patrol. He detransforms and lays down on his bed. Plagg flies over to his place on the nightstand. "Night kid," Plagg said while lying down. Adrien mumbled into his pillow, "Good night." Adrien although tired has a hard time falling asleep. He has so much to think about. He knows he needs to get some sleep but it's almost impossible with so much on his mind. He worries for Ladybug and her problems which Adrien has no idea what they are. He thinks about his secret life as Chat Noir and how he lies to everyone in his life including Felix. Adrien has a hard time thinking of that one because Felix is the most important person to Adrien. He thinks about his skating. He was not pleased with himself for not doing well. Then his thoughts go to his mother and how much it bothers him that she is missing. Adrien starts to feel emotional as his thoughts settle on his mother. So much has happened in the last couple of years. Adrien feels as if he can't keep up. He falls into a restless sleep that will not last longer than a few hours.
The next morning Felix goes downstairs to make breakfast. He decides to make pancakes. Adrien makes his way down the stairs he looks absolutely exhausted. "Adrien! You look beat. Are you okay?" Felix asked his cousin. Adrien took a seat at the table. "I'm fine. I'm just tired from all that is on my schedule that's all." Adrien replied with a lack of energy in his voice. Felix's eyes narrowed slightly. He knows Adrien is lying to him and it is bothering him to no end. Felix sits a plate of pancakes in front of the other blond. Adrien eats tiredly while Felix watches him. They are both sitting at the table in silence. Once they are done eating, they head off to school. The car ride is silent as well. Once they get to school Adrien looks more awake now than he did in the kitchen. They both get out of the car and start to head inside. Marinette is on the top stair with Alya. The two girls were chatting until Marinette's eyes landed on Adrien and Felix. The model does not even notice Marinette staring at him. Felix on the other hand does and sends Marinette a glare. The blue-haired girl looks away when she catches the blond's glare. Felix was following behind Adrien when someone's hand grabbed him around his upper left arm and pulled him into an empty classroom. Felix turned to the person and was about to ask what gives when he looked at the other and realized it was Kagami. She did not look pleased at all. Her arms were crossed over her chest and she had a look of disapproval on her face. Felix titled his head to the side, "What?" Kagami looked unimpressed by his response to her. "Felix, I heard about what happened in the hallway." Felix rolled his green eyes at Kagami as he responded. "What about it." Kagami's eyes narrowed as she stepped closer to Felix. "You were very harsh with Marinette." Before she could continue any further Felix interrupted her. "Don't get me started on Marinette and don't tell me I was too harsh with her. She needed to be confronted about her behavior." Kagami let out a breath before replying to that. "I understand what you are saying Felix but perhaps you could have been nicer. Marinette is my friend after all." The blond replied back, "I understand that but I can't let her behavior go. I've had enough of it." The blue-haired girl stood her ground. "I'm not defending what Marinette has done. I'm just saying you could have approached this better. Marinette told me and Alya what happened. Mostly because Alya pressed her to know what happened after your outburst in the classroom." Felix pressed his lips tightly together before firing back. "You say you're not defending her but you are. You are in here scolding me for yelling at Marinette over ridiculous behavior but you won't even think about scolding Marinette for her behavior!" Felix does not realize he is yelling until the end of his sentence. Kagami's eyes widen slightly at Felix. She is quiet for a few moments and Felix is worried that maybe she is mad at him. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you." The blond boy apologized to his girlfriend. She broke eye contact as she said. "No, I'm sorry. You're right about that. I've been letting Marinette have a free pass while I have been scolding you." Felix stepped forward and wrapped his girl in his arms. "Look, I'm just protective of the ones I love. As much as I can't stand Marinette's behavior, I will try to be nicer about it if I confront her again." Kagami smiled at him and leaned up for a kiss. Their lips met briefly before breaking apart. "We need to get to class." She told her boyfriend. Felix smiled as he grabbed her hand. "Yeah, let's get going." The two left the empty classroom together hand in hand. They quickly got their things from their lockers and made their way to their first classes. When Felix came into the class Adrien was already in there. The model looked at his cousin as he sat down. "Where did you go?" Felix could not help a grin as he said, "I was talking to Kagami." Adrien dropped it after that. The two of them took down notes and listened to the lecture the teacher was giving. Although Marinette was seated behind them Felix did not notice any strange behavior from her like on every other day they were in school. He cannot help but think that his confrontation with Marinette has a lot to do with that. Marinette sat quietly behind Adrien. She had a plan on what to do after what happened with Felix. If he wanted her to get to know Adrien then that is exactly what she was going to do. She was going to prove to Felix that she is taking this seriously.
