"K-Kacchan?"

The tears that had welled up in Izuku's eyes now fell as he began to sob. His childhood best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, who had been murdered during their last year of middle school was standing right in front of him, completely fine.

'How is he here right now?,' Izuku pondered in his head. 'Did I get hit on the head so hard that I'm hallucinating? Wait, maybe…did I die, and go to the afterlife?!'

So many questions popped into Izuku's head, however, Katsuki had a few questions of his own to ask.

"What the hell?! What are you crying about now, ya damn nerd?!," Katsuki questioned in an annoyed tone of voice.

After hearing Katsuki's question, Izuku began to wipe away his tears, but no matter how many tears he would wipe away, more tears kept coming.

"S-sorry, I don't know why I keep crying," Izuku lied, unable to stop the tears of joy that ran down his cheeks after seeing his childhood friend alive and right in front of him.

Katsuki went up to Izuku and hit him on the head, causing Izuku to stop crying altogether.

"Ow!," Izuku yelped as he rubbed his head

"Quit your crying already! We're going to be late to school because your dumbass keeps crying about stupid shit and won't hurry up!," Katsuki yelled.

"A-alright, sorry!," Izuku relented.

Katsuki clicked his teeth, seemingly accepting Izuku's response before wordlessly turning towards the direction of their school and walking.

'Well, that definitely felt real, which means I can't be hallucinating,' Izuku mentally deduced as he followed Katsuki. 'And I may not know what the afterlife is like, but I highly doubt that you can feel pain there. But if I'm not hallucinating, and I'm not dead, then how is Kacchan standing right in front of me right now?'

Izuku began to slow down his pace as he began to ponder how this had all happened. Suddenly, an idea came to his head as he stopped walking and took out his phone. Once Izuku turned on his phone, he stared at it in shock as he saw the date: May 5th, 21XX.

'The date… this is the day that Kacchan died!'

He then quickly went to the camera app on his phone, activated the front, and looked at the screen as it showed his younger self; he didn't look that different from his future self aside from the fact that he looked a little more younger, his hair was its natural green color instead of the black color that he had dyed it to, and his messy, curly hair was not parted over his right eye.

'I can't believe it…I actually traveled four years into the past!,' Izuku thought incredulously. 'How did this happen?! Could I have developed a Quirk that allows me to travel back in time under certain conditions?! No, that doesn't make any sense; I was diagnosed as Quirkless fourteen, well now ten, years ago! Does that mean that someone used their Quirk to send me back in time? If so, why? What reason-?'

"Stop daydreaming and hurry the hell up already!"

Izuku's train of thought was immediately brought out of his train of thought due to Katsuki's yelling.

"C-coming!," Izuku yelped as he put his phone away and ran up to the side of his short tempered friend.

'Maybe I should think about this more when Kacchan isn't around to distract me.'

While he followed his childhood friend to school, he quietly made a fist as his expression hardened.

'Whatever the reason I was sent back in time for, it doesn't matter. I can't waste this chance. I have to make sure that Kacchan doesn't die today.'

Attending classes in his old middle school, Aldera Junior High was a very surreal experience for Izuku, but not a difficult one. Relearning the information that he had forgotten since middle school had luckily been very easy; he was able to breeze through almost every class while making sure to take detailed notes.

Izuku and Katsuki's last class of the day was history class; while Katsuki looked uninterested in the lesson that they had been taught, Izuku diligently took notes on what their teacher taught them. After class had ended, Izuku was thinking of the situation he had been forced into, not aware that Katsuki's friends were approaching his desk.

'Is it really possible that someone sent me back in time using their Quirk?,' Izuku pondered. 'Any and all Quirks that are time based are rare, but having the ability to actually send someone back in time is unheard of.'

"Hey, how's it going, Deku?," one of Izuku's classmates asked him snidely.

'Was I sent back in time in order to prevent something from happening? If that's the case, then why wasn't I given any instructions on what I'm supposed to do?,' Izuku continued to think, unaware of the presence of his classmates.

"Are you ignoring us, Deku?," another one of Izuku's classmates asked in annoyance.

'No, no, no. I can worry about all that later. Right now, I need to focus on saving Kacchan.'

"You think you're better than us or something?! Is that it?!," yet another one of Izuku's classmates questioned in anger.

'From what I remember, right after school, me and Kacchan had decided to walk home separately, and it was during his walk home that he was attacked. So, the first thing I'll have to do is convince him that we should walk home together. After that-'

Before Izuku could continue thinking about how he would save Katsuki, one of his classmates who had surrounded his desk slammed their hands on it, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"H-huh?," Izuku uttered, finally noticing three of his classmates were standing in front of him. "O-oh, hey guys."

"Tcch. Finally!," one of them scoffed, arms crossed in annoyance. "I don't appreciate you ignoring us, Deku."

'Were they here the whole time? I didn't even notice!,' Izuku thought to himself in embarrassment.

"S-Sorry about that. Did you guys need something?," Izuku asked, curious as to why they were surrounding his desk.

Just before any of them could say anything, Katsuki approached with a scowl on his face, intimidating the students surrounding Izuku's desk.

"Oi! What the hell do you extras think you're doing!?," the blonde shouted, unamused with their attempts to bother Izuku.

"B-Bakugo! Hey, how's it going, man?," one of Izuku's harassers and Katsuki's friends greeted.

"Cut the crap. I asked you a question, didn't I?," Katsuki responded, annoyed at situation right in front of him,

"Relax, man. We just wanted to talk to Deku about him wanting to be a hero," one of Katsuki's other friends told the blonde, not all that intimidated by his attitude and demeanor. "We're just trying to convince him to quit before he gets hurt. It's not like a Quirkless nobody will be recognized by the Public Safety Commission anyways."

Snarling, Katsuki was about to yell a response but was stopped by Izuku, who decided to speak up for himself.

"Oh, is that what you wanted to talk to me about? You guys don't need to worry about that. I've given up on being a hero."

Everyone who had surrounded Izuku's desk, as well as Katsuki turned to the green haired time traveler and stared at him in shock, having not expected to hear those words come out of his mouth.

'Maybe I shouldn't have said that so bluntly,' he thought nervously, anxious from all the attention he was receiving. 'I should have expected for everyone to respond like this. Ever since I was a kid and all the way up until now, all I've ever wanted to be was a hero. So to hear me say that I've given up on my lifelong dream without any type of warning must be surprising.'

"You… don't want to be a hero anymore?," one of his classmates had asked. "You're kidding, right?"

"N-No, I'm being completely serious," Izuku promised, trying to explain himself clearly so that everyone would stop being suspicious of him. "I've thought about it for a while now, and you guys are right. The Public Safety Commission would never recognize someone who's Quirkless as a hero candidate. And even if they did, there are heroes with powerful Quirks that get seriously injured all the time while on the line of duty. So, what chance would someone without a Quirk stand?"

Underneath the table, Izuku tightened his hands into fists, trying to suppress the frustration he was feeling.

'Why am I getting so upset? I thought I already accepted it years ago. Chasing after a dream like that is pointless because… because…'

"No matter how hard I try, no matter how hard I struggle, I can never become a hero," he admitted aloud.

Everyone stood there silently, not knowing what to say after hearing Izuku basically give up on his dream. After a long moment of silence, it was Katsuki who broke it as he addressed Izuku with a hard to read expression on his face.

"Come on, Deku. We've got better things to do then to hang around these extras," he told his green haired friend, beckoning him to follow along.

Not expecting for Katsuki to want to leave so abruptly, Izuku let out a quick "right" in response before grabbing his things and leaving his classroom and his classmates behind.

Their walk home was quiet, which was out of the ordinary because Katsuki was almost never silent.

'On one hand, I'm relieved that I have the opportunity to walk home with Kacchan and prevent his murder, but on the other hand…,' Izuku thought before turning to look at Kacchan, who didn't look angry but didn't look happy either. '…I feel like I somehow upset him.'

"H-Hey, you haven't said anything since we left school. Is everything alright?," he asked, wanting to understand what was upsetting his friend.

Turning to look at Izuku, Katsuki wore a very serious expression on his face, making the green haired time traveler feel a bit anxious.

"What you said back there… About giving up on your dream… Were you serious about that?"

"Well… yeah. Like I said earlier, even if I gave it my all, I could never become a hero," Izuku confirmed to Katsuki. "Actually, I've decided to focus all my efforts on becoming an inventor and creating support items for pro heroes. I figured since I can't save people, I can still help out by supporting the heroes."

Katsuki stayed quiet for a moment as he and Izuku continued walking before speaking up again.

"So, you finally got it through your head, huh? Good. So just stand back and watch while I become the greatest hero in the world."

"I'll look forward to it," Izuku replied with an encouraging smile. "Who knows? I might end up designing some of your gear when you go pro."

"You better make sure that your shit actually works," Katsuki warned, not saying outright that he accepted Izuku's proposal. "Last thing I need is for your crap to break on me in the middle of a fight."

"Right!," Izuku acknowledged with a wide smile.

'It's nice… being able to talk like this with someone, especially with a good friend like Kacchan,' he thought to himself, bittersweetly. 'How long has it been since I've talked to someone I was close with? I think it was two years from now, with my Mom and Dad. A few days before they passed away during the war between Yuuei and the pro heroes against the Paranormal Liberation Front.'

His eyes widened once he fully processed what he had just been thinking.

'Hold on… it isn't just Kacchan that I need to worry about. Mom, Dad, Denki, and Eijiro… they're all alive now as well.'

Tears were threatening to spill from his eyes but he forced his eyes shut in order to prevent them from falling. The last thing he needed was to draw attention to himself and make his friend be suspicious of him.

'This is my one and only chance to fix things for everyone… but how? I doubt anyone would believe me if I told them that I'm from the future, and I can't fix things by myself. So what do I do? How do I rewrite the future?'

As he continued to think, Izuku and Katsuki walked through a short tunnel. As they were walking, the sound of something wet squishing against the ground could be heard from behind them, causing Izuku to snap out of his thoughts and for both him and Katsuki to turn around to see what that noise was.

When they turned around, both their eyes widened in fear as they were face to face with a villain. The villain's Quirk allowed for their entire body to transform into a green mud-like substance, giving him the appearance of a giant pile of sludge.

'It's him! That's the villain that kills Kacchan!,' Izuku realized.

Before the pair of middle school students could even think of running away, the Sludge Villain launched itself at Izuku, taking over his body in the process.

"Don't worry, kid. I'm just taking over your body," the villain taunted his victim, covering Izuku's mouth with his sludge so that he couldn't speak. Izuku struggled against the villain's grasp, but failed to break free. "Relax. It'll only hurt for a few seconds."

'I can't breathe!,' Izuku thought in a panic as he tried and failed to grab the sludge and yank it off his face.

"Deku!," Katsuki called out in a panic before hardening his expression. The palms of his hands began to spark up as he glared at the Sludge Villain. "Let him go before I blast you into next week!"

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," the Sludge Villain playfully warned. "Anything you do to me, he'll feel it too."

'Damn it! What the hell am I supposed to do now!?,' Kasuki anxiously pondered.

'Am I… Am I dying?,' Izuku thought to himself as he slowly started to lose consciousness. He looked at Katsuki with fear and tears threatening to leak out his eyes. 'Kacchan, please… run away. If you don't… you might die again. I don't want that.'

In the current moment, there was nothing that either middle school student could do; it was a hopeless situation… at least, that's what it felt like to them at that moment.

The sound of metal clanging could be heard from behind all of them, causing Katsuki and the Sludge Villain to turn to see what had been the cause. As it turned out, someone had been in the sewer and had jumped through a manhole behind them. And that person happened to be the strongest hero in the world… All Might.

"It's all right now, you two," All Might assured the two boys with his confident and booming voice. "I am here!"

'Is that… really All Might?,' Katsuki wondered, dumbfounded from seeing the world's greatest hero standing in front of him.

Knowing that the hero in front of him could easily best him in battle, the Sludge Villain quickly stretched and swung his arm towards All Might in order to attack him. Quicker than the villain's attack, All Might grabbed Katsuki and forced him to squat down with him in order to dodge. Once he saw an opening, All Might quickly dashed towards the villain and cocked back his fist. Before his punch landed, he quickly grabbed Izuku with his other hand and pulled him away from the Sludge Villain with ease.

"Detroit Smash!," he called out before landing his punch, causing the villain's body to break apart and scatter everywhere.

Before his consciousness completely faded, Izuku was able to catch a glimpse at his savior.

'All… Might?'

As Izuku felt his consciousness return to him, he felt something rapidly and repeatedly tap his cheek. Once he opened his eyes, he was face to face with his favorite hero of all time: All Might.

"Oh, good! You're awake!," All Might cheered, while Izuku looked at him with a dumbfounded expression. "I'm glad you're okay!"

"Took you long enough," Katsuki complained, standing to the side of All Might with his arms crossed.

"I'm… sorry?," Izuku offered, not knowing how to respond in this situation.

"Sorry about getting you two caught up in my villain fighting," All Might apologized to the two boys, though Izuku looked lost as he was processing everything that had happened to him that day. "I don't usually make mistakes like this, but I was in high spirits on my day off in a new place. Ha, ha, ha!"

"Tcch! What a lame excuse," Katsuki scoffed, causing All Might to flinch from his blunt and harsh words. "You're supposed to be the number one hero in the world. How could you let someone that weak get away?"

"Well, I, uh… the thing is…," All Might stuttered, rubbing the back of his neck nervously while trying to come up with an answer.

"Stop being so rude, Kacchan. I'm sure that All Might did the best that he could to stop him," Izuku scolded his friend, causing Katsuki to click his tongue in annoyance and reply, "whatever".

It took a few seconds for the words he said and the situation at hand to finally process for Izuku, but once it did, his eyes widened in realization. Standing in front of him was his favorite hero of all time and the world's Symbol of Peace.

"Wait a second… oh my gosh, it's All Might!," he yelled before standing up and fishing something out of his backpack. He then pulled a notebook out titled, "Hero Analysis for the Future No. 13" and a pen and held them towards All Might. "I'm your biggest fan! Could you please sign my notebook!?"

"Of course! It's the least I could do for helping me catch that villain!," All Might agreed, patting a bottle in his pocket that he used to capture the Sludge Villain's body.

Once All Might finished signing his name on the empty pages of Izuku's notebook, he handed it back to the young time traveler and smiled. His name was written in English with big capital letters across two pages of the notebook; Izuku couldn't help but smile widely as he read the signature.

"Thank you so much! You have no idea how much this means to me!," Izuku told his personal hero before putting his notebook back in his bag.

"Of course!," All Might replied before turning to a seething Katsuki. "I don't suppose you also wanted an autograph, did you?"

The question ended up angering Katsuki even more, grinding his teeth as he suppressed the urge to respond.

'Leave it to Kacchan to be too prideful to ask for an autograph,' Izuku thought, chuckling nervously as he looked at his seething childhood friend.

"Well, I need to take this guy to the police, so I'll be going now," All Might bid farewell. "I'll see you on the other side of the TV screen."

"Wait!," Izuku cried out before All Might could leave.

'I remembered watching the news of Kacchan's death. From what I remembered, the villain had confronted him in an alleyway and took over his body. A few hours after that, he died from being suffocated. Could me being captured by that villain have caused a slight change in the timeline, allowing All Might to catch him? Still… I can't help this feeling in my stomach that something bad is still going to happen.'

"Are you sure he can't escape from there?," Izuku asked, referring to the bottle that held the villain captive.

"Ha, ha! Cautious, are we?," All Might jested, trying to relieve his fan of his anxiety. "Well, after what you went through, I can't blame you for that. However, I assure you that this dastardly villain has no way of escaping. Trust me, my boy, he won't be leaving my sight."

Hearing All Might confirm that everything was going to be fine made Izuku feel at ease, as if a weight was lifted from him.

"Good. Thank you so much!," he responded happily, bowing in respect.

"Not a problem, young man!," All Might assured as he squatted down in order to jump. "Well then, I'm counting on your continued support!"

With the power of his Quirk, All Might jumped high into the air, leaving the two childhood friends alone to their own devices.

"I can't believe all that really happened. It feels so surreal," Izuku admitted in a hushed voice.

'I never expected to meet All Might again. Especially so soon after being sent back,' Izuku admitted to himself. 'Even after our first encounter during my second year of high school, I just can't find it in myself to be upset with him. He was only looking out for me, even if it did feel harsh at the time.'

"Wasn't that incredible, Kacchan?," he asked, only to be met with Katsuki looking unimpressed with him.

"You almost died, you moron," Katsuki pointed out, causing Izuku to look away sheepishly.

"I know, but All Might saved me!," Izuku countered before fishing his notebook out of his bag and showing off the autograph he received. "And on top of that, he gave me an autograph!"

"Would you shut up about that dumb autograph!?," Kacchan yelled, causing Izuku to flinch in surprise. He then let out a huff before turning around and walking away. "Whatever. I'm going to find something to drink."

'I guess he really wanted that autograph,' Izuku thought while a bead of sweat rolled down the back of his head.

As he followed behind his friend, Izuku couldn't help the worried look that came to his face.

'Even with All Might assuring me that the Sludge Villain won't escape… why is it that I still have this bad feeling in my chest?'

Alright, hey guys, Phoenix here, and I hope you enjoyed this chapter of "Yuuei Avengers". I know it's been a long, long time since I posted the first chapter, and I'm sorry it took so long to post the second one. Things have changed in my life and I have other things I want to work on, so it's been difficult writing stories in general, let alone updating this one. I'll try harder to be more consistent with the uploads, but I don't promise you anything.

Next chapter will be part two of this chapter because I didn't want to write a long chapter in one go. Hope you enjoyed, and until next time, later!
