Practical
Hippolyta and Sev walked towards the Refuge of the Space of Forgotten Sorcery, flying their hawks along the path that crossed the forest, evoking the memory of their return home along the castle stairs carrying their musical instruments. When they reached the clearing they stopped conjuring.
"What a huge house, Prince!" Hippolyta exclaimed, out loud.
"Indeed," said Sev, bonded. "When you see it inside you're going to hallucinate."
They both drank water from the well, and then he showed her the ground floor except for the kitchen.
"Everyone must be in there, let's go upstairs first to choose our bedroom," he proposed.
"Okay."
They walked quickly and quietly past the open kitchen door so they wouldn't be seen. They held hands to go up the stairs.
"East is on the left, right?" she asked.
"Yes honey."
Most of the marked doors were on the left.
"What a shame, almost everyone prefers that orientation," the girl lamented.
"I think they haven't even thought about it. It's because on the other side many bedrooms have small beds."
"Sure… Let's open the ones that are not marked, to look for a bed for two."
"What do you prefer, further away or closer to the stairs?" Sev asked.
"Farther away, so as not to hear the others getting up."
"Very well, then let's occupy the one with a double bed furthest from the stairs."
They opened the penultimate one and illuminated it with their Lumos, there was a bed for three. They opened the antepenultimate one, there was a bed for two.
"That's it, this one here, the third from the end, good luck," she said. "But the bed is not in front of the window so we can see the sky from it."
"We'll levitate it and put it against the wall of the door."
"Great. Do it, I'll open the window."
Sev did it, also with the bedside tables, while Hippolyta magically opened the window to ventilate.
"Have you heard the spell?" she asked him.
"Yes honey."
"Now you know how to do it too. Let's sit on the bed and see if we can see the sky."
They did it, they sat on the bed against the wall, they could see the sky.
"Wonderful, Hippolyta, give me a peck, come on."
"No, it would be the sixth today. We only have the good night one left."
"Hippolyta, don't deny me a peck for that reason. If necessary we give each other seven or nine today."
"You are right, you are right."
They gave it to each other.
"Forgive me, please…" she was sad. "It was the second time that you asked me, and I, stupid that I am, tell you no. I don't know about these boyfriend things, Prince…"
He hugged her and gave her many kisses on her head. "Honey, don't be sad, there is nothing to forgive, you will learn."
"We are going to stay a little while, until it is ventilated. I wanted to talk to you about something and maybe later we won't have time."
"Tell me."
"Are you going to see Parkinson before we go home?" the girl asked.
"Parkinson's first name is Lauren, honey, and yes, I'm going to spend tomorrow night with her."
"Great… Let you know that you have my permission to do boyfriend things with her."
"Thank you very much, my love," he said. "If we both feel like it, we will do it and later I will tell you."
"You don't need to tell me, Prince."
"Would it bother you if I did it? Would you feel bad?"
"No, Prince, it's not for that reason, it's so that you don't get embarrassed."
"I won't get embarrassed, I prefer to tell you," Sev clarified.
"Then tell me. Lauren is very pretty."
"Yes, she is, she is a real beauty."
"Lily is also very pretty," she said.
"Yes, she is too. But you know that I don't care about people's exterior appearance, but rather their interior."
"That's not completely true. All your girls are very pretty, Valerie, Deborah and Genevre are too."
"True, I also admire beauty, you are also beautiful, but if it is not accompanied by good feelings I don't care at all," he explained. "You see that Cecile is not that pretty and it is with her that I am going to be in summer when we both feel like it."
"You're right. Can I ask you more about them?"
"Sure, honey, whatever you want."
"Apart from being pretty, are they hot?" she asked.
Sev laughed embarrassedly. What a bind… "Hippolyta, you put me in commitments, huh?"
"I don't only notice the boys on the beach, but also the girls. My Mum, for example, is very hot."
"Wow… how lucky your Dad was, being so ugly."
"Not lucky, Prince, he waited three years for her."
"Of course, he worked for it, that's what you have to do."
"Come on, don't go off on a tangent. Are they hot? Give them a grade, from one to ten."
"Ugh, Hippolyta… that seems terrible to me. I'm not going to do it, I repeat that the outside appearance doesn't matter."
"Well, I do care about your appearance. If you weren't hot I wouldn't have gotten horny with you."
"Maybe not yet, but later, when we would have gotten to know each other better. Doesn't your Mum get horny with your Dad?"
"Yes, of course," she responded.
"Well there you have it, being hot or not doesn't matter."
"I was asking you all this because I know that I am not hot."
Okay… that's why, poor girl… I have to explain it to her… Sev thought. "I already imagined it, honey, but that's because you're still a little girl in body, you'll be that way when you grow up."
"Is that why you don't get horny with me, Prince?"
"Of course, my love, but not because you're hot or not, that's nonsense, but because I see you as a little girl and it doesn't turn me on to think about doing it with a little girl. People who think those things with little girls or boys are very sick."
"Of course… It makes me very angry, because all my dormmates already look like women and I don't. Do you know why, Prince?"
"Yes, honey, it was probably because of your problem with food."
"Ugh… how angry, if I had known, I would have eaten well."
"Don't worry, that will be resolved soon," he reassured her. "If you continue eating well, you will develop and grow, but it will be a somewhat long process, that is why I told you the other day that we have to wait almost another year to kiss each other and do boyfriend things."
"Sure… it's going to take a long time. A year of just sleeping together and pecks."
"There are those who don't even have that, honey. Think about your Dad while he was waiting for your Mum."
"Sure…"
"Or about me while I was waiting for Lily to fall in love with me," Sev continued. "I waited six years."
"I already knew it, she told me."
"Oh… And also, don't forget that you told me that you no longer mind doing boyfriend things with me."
"Yes, Prince, but I told you before I saw how hot you are again this morning."
"Of course… Maybe you shouldn't have seen me, my love. What do you think about the topic?"
"I do not know what to think…"
"You're in a mess, right?" he asked.
"Yeah…"
"Maybe it would be better if we didn't go bathing in the pond tomorrow."
"No, not that… we have a great time there…" Hippolyta protested.
"Then we will go. Don't give importance to whether you get horny or not. Have you talked to Cecile about doing it yourself?"
"We will talk about it tonight in a huddle of girls."
"I think it's great. Can Sirius and I be there too?" Sev asked.
"Yes of course. On that topic, I'm just going to listen, I have nothing to say."
"It's okay, honey, listen and learn from the older ones. Do you have any other concerns?"
"Not at the moment, Prince."
"If you are worried about anything else, ask me to talk privately with me and we will do it, at any time. Okay my love?"
"Okay."
"Let's go down with the others, who must already have everything prepared and in the end we have not helped them at all," he said.
"Okay, I'll close the window, learn."
They got out of bed.
"Leave the shutter open a little, so that tomorrow morning a little light can come in," Sev suggested.
"Okay." Hippolyta closed the window with magic and they left the bedroom, closing the door.
"What mark do we put on the door so that no one enters?" he asked.
"Could you Summon a drawing of two hawks?"
"I can try." He tried it, it worked.
"Cool!" she exclaimed, out loud. "They are fighting!"
"Do you know how to stick it to the door?" he asked her, bonded.
"Yes of course."
"Then you do it, so we both do something."
Hippolyta stuck it to the door with magic. "So, also, if someone looks for us, they will know that this is our bedroom."
"Of course, Hippolyta, very good idea."
"Do you already have a bedroom reserved with Lauren?"
"Well no, I don't have it."
"Well you should have it, don't you think?" she asked. "Have you not slept with her any night here?"
"Yes, yes I have."
"And which one did you sleep in?"
"On the first one on this side from the entrance, a bed for three," Sev answered.
"A double bed would be better."
"No, better for three, because maybe she will someday want to be with Sirius and me at the same time."
"Oh… yes? Does she love Sirius too?" the girl asked.
"Not yet, but she likes him a lot, and he likes her."
"But it's a bit disgusting to do those things between three, isn't it?"
"Not if you love each other, my love, and that way I could teach Sirius many things that he doesn't know how to do," he explained.
"Oh… Cecile already told me that you are an artist."
"Ah… So that's what you've been talking about, no wonder you're so impatient to do things with me…"
"Sure. Well, if no one has taken it, reserve it too, you won't be bothered by anyone who comes up, because you can only come alone, when no one finds out," Hippolyta deduced.
"How smart you are, honey."
They headed to that bedroom.
"It's not marked, no one has taken it," she noticed.
"I know why, because it is the closest to the stairs."
"Well, mark it with a mark that is not special, that no one knows it is yours."
"How intelligent you are, Hippolyta. What comes to your mind?"
"Something that the three of you really like and that no one else knows about."
"Walk through the forest."
"Well, a drawing of a tree. What is Lauren's tree?" the girl asked.
"Pine."
"Oh…! Like our wands."
"Well yes."
"Well, try to draw a pine tree," she suggested.
Sev tried it, it worked.
"I'll fix it." Hippolyta stuck it to the door. "Later I will come up with Cecile and we will undo our bed and make it again, I am going to teach her so that she can teach her Dad how to make the bed with magic and help her Mum at home, because she is a Muggle and has to do everything by herself Muggle-style."
"Sure… If you prefer, you can look in some other bedroom, huh? I'm sure many beds are unmade."
"Of course, in exchange for making us dinner."
"That is."
They went down to the kitchen and entered, there was Valerie, Deborah, Andrew and Paul.
"Man…!" Valerie exclaimed. "Blessed are the eyes that see you…"
"Where had you been?" Deborah asked.
"We have had a very busy afternoon, we left the Room at almost seven, we have not crossed paths because we returned home via the stairs," Sev responded.
"And because we arrived late," said Paul. "It has been complicated to get food from the kitchens. Elf rebellion."
"What are you saying?" very surprised.
"What you are hearing. They didn't want to let us take fresh food."
"Ugh... I'm going to have a new fight with the old man," Sev complained.
"Elves never tell, Prince," Deborah told him.
"True, elves never tell. I see that you already have everything going."
"Of course, there were many of us to help prepare," said Andrew. "I stayed to learn how to cook."
"Where are the others?"
"They went for a walk with Ariel, which was the first time he came," Valerie responded.
"Jack wanted to bring Shelley, and Ariel also wanted her to come, but I made them stop because we have to bond with Hippolyta and only the occlumants can do it," Deborah explained.
"Of course... what a shame... I hadn't thought about it," Sev lamented.
"Don't worry, they have understood it perfectly and the girl has stayed with her other friends. She was going to have dinner with them, also with Maida, who won't see her all summer."
"Well, then it's okay. I'm going to take Hippolyta to the tree before the Gryffs arrive."
"Great," said Deborah, "If they arrive before you return we will wait for you."
"Thank you so much. Come on honey."
They left the house and from there along the path that led to the oak tree. They chatted bonded.
"What a big kitchen!" Hippolyta exclaimed, "There is room for thirty people at that table."
"True."
"And they were cooking with firewood."
"Of course, honey, like in the old days," Sev explained. "Remember the lawsuit, Forgotten Sorcery, the ancient magic that I always tell you about. That's why there is no bathroom in the house or running water, you have to get water from the well."
"So, if we stay the night, we won't be able to shower tomorrow."
"We'll shower when we get home or after breakfast, nothing happens."
"We could also wash in the pond in the afternoon," she proposed.
"No, love. We can't use soap in the pond, we would dirty it with soap. If it were a river, yes, because it is running water, nothing would happen, but the water in the pond is only renewed by rain and everything you put inside stays there."
"Sure…"
"If you don't have to wash your hair tomorrow, it doesn't matter if you don't shower, you can go a day without washing with soap, you will be clean by bathing in the pond," he explained.
"Okay."
"And it hasn't rained for a long time, if it continues like this maybe it will dry out in September."
"Ugh… not that…" lamented the girl.
"It doesn't matter, if so we will bathe in the Lake. It will rain in the fall so we can skate in the winter."
"Brilliant. Now that you're talking about skating, I'm not going to fit everything in my trunk when I get back in September, Prince. The skates, the two instruments, your fourth year books…"
"Maybe you don't need to bring my books, I think they will grant them to you," Sev reassured her. "Wait until tomorrow to see the lists published."
"It's true."
"Better if they grant them to you, my books are a mess, they were already second-hand and they are all annotated."
"That doesn't matter to me at all," Hippolyta played down the importance. "Notes from you, I would think about you whenever I studied."
"Thanks love. Did you also request those for the electives you want to take?"
"Only the ones I'm going to take for sure, Arithmancy and Divination, so as not to keep books that would be useful for other kids without knowing if I'm going to use them."
"Very well thought out, honey," he approved.
"If I think about taking some more, let them buy them for me, it will only be one or two."
"If you decide to take Runes, I'll leave it to you."
"Alright. I'm almost sure that I'm going to take Runes, I really liked the spells, it's a very beautiful language," she said.
"The first day we see each other once we have resolved what we have to talk about with your parents, we will organize a study calendar. If I am very busy, other family members can also help you. Almost everyone knows Runes, Valerie also had Arithmancy and she will do well to review if she one day wants to go to Muggle university."
"Sure, and Ariel has all the electives except Divination."
"Yeah, in Divination you won't have help," Sev lamented.
"That's why it was the book I checked out on Saturday, I'm going to borrow it in the summer. There is no problem, I was asking Maida, who does have it, and Divination is not about studying, there are no theoretical exams or anything like that, it is about predicting the future, and the homework is to write those predictions. The book only explains the different methods of divination and how to interpret them."
"Oh…"
"I was keeping an eye on everything, an overview," said the girl.
"And what methods are there?"
"A lot. The tea grounds, the crystal ball, dreams, waking visions, the trance in which prophecies are pronounced, the lines of the hand, the position of the stars, which is why it is also related to Astronomy. This last one is very important, since it was the one that interested me the most I started reading it. It is the one used by centaurs, who are experts on the subject, they can even predict what will happen in the very distant future knowing what position the planets will be in over the years."
"How awesome… I had no idea…" he said. "Do you know? You will do very well in Divination without having to study, work that takes off."
"How, Prince?"
"I already told you that I had had premonitions, do you remember?"
"Yes, of course," she responded.
"It is also due to a power that is acquired with the magic of the druids, Clairvoyance. And do you know how to acquire it?"
"No idea."
"Very easy. Drinking from sacred springs, like those in the Forbidden Forest or those in this same forest," Sev explained.
"I drink from springs when I walk through the forests of Godric's Hollow."
"Well, maybe you already have the power if those forests are magical. Lily's parents have some guides, when I go to their house I will consult them."
"Brilliant."
"And now that I think about it, in the house there is the book of Druid Magic and there is also a list of sacred places, when we return we'll look at it," he suggested.
"Okay."
"With the water from the well that we have drunk, you have also acquired another power, Insight, which will help you interpret premonitions, and not only that, but also any situation in life."
"I don't understand that very well," Hippolyta said.
"It means knowing people and situations in depth, knowing how to interpret how and why events occur. In depth, like the well."
"Oh…"
"Both powers are enhanced as you drink more times from springs and wells," Sev explained.
"How interesting. What a great advantage it is about ancient magic."
"And now that I think about it. Bathing in the pond we have also acquired another power, that of delving into the knowledge of the soul."
"Oh…"
"I have to consult it too, to know if it also increases the more times you do it," he wondered.
"Sure. We'll do it when we return."
They had arrived before the oak tree.
"Here we have your oak, Hippolyta."
"Wooow… it's impressive… I've never seen an oak tree so big."
"It is very old, very powerful. Have you thought about your meditation yet?"
"Yes, Prince, this morning."
"Very well, then you start, I haven't had time to do it, I'll do it while you meditate. Take off your shoes and socks and hug the tree."
Hippolyta did so and meditated, (My oak, my sacred tree, I only wish for one thing in this life. For it to be very long so that I can do all the things I want to do, which can be summarized in three. Finish off Voldemort and all the Death Eaters, have a great time learning how to do a lot of new things that hadn't occurred to me until now, and make everyone who loves me very happy, especially Prince and my two families, the real one and the school one.)
"That's it, Prince."
Sev laughed. (Wow… so fast, she's really practical.) "Do you feel the magic, honey?" he asked her.
"Now I'm starting to feel it."
"Then stay a little while enjoying it, come on."
"But we have a lot to do, it's going to be late," she objected.
"Hippolyta, listen to me, enjoy."
"And what do I think in the meantime?"
"Repeat what you have thought, more things that come to mind, or just don't think about anything, enjoy it," Sev suggested.
"Okay." Hippolyta continued meditating as she felt the magic invade her. (I want to cure myself of my problem with food to get strong and become a good warrior and Quidditch Seeker. Also to become a woman as soon as possible and for Prince to like me the way I like him and to be able to kiss each other and do every boyfriend things that we want.
(I want Prince to recover quickly from the disappointment that he is going to experience as soon as he returns home, because he needs to be calm, rest in the summer and have a great time to forget all the worries he has.
(I want to learn to play a lot of instruments with Cecile and Prince, to have a great time with them making music.
(I want to win the Quidditch World Cup so I can have money as soon as possible, help my parents so they can have another child, a little sibling for me, and also so that they won't be left alone if something happens to me.
(I want to go kill all the remaining Death Eaters in their homes as soon as I come of age, with Prince and Sirius and Lauren's help.
(I want to play Quidditch on a good team when I graduate, so I can continue making a lot of money and be independent.
(I want to study NEWT Astronomy and then the Muggle career with Prince, Valerie and Sirius.
(I want to live in the castle with Prince while he is Dueling teacher, Sly's Head and eventually, Headmaster of Hogwarts.
(I want Prince not to die before or after me, because either of us would be destroyed. We have to die at the same time, from very old age.
(That's it, nine wishes, good luck. Now I'm going to wait a little longer because I'm sure he hasn't thought about his meditation yet, that's why he told me to stay enjoying it.) Hippolyta was left feeling the magic.
