Chapter 05: Who observes the observer.
' It's been 3 years since Endeavor's sacrifice, and in those three years a lot has happened so I'll try to condense as much as possible, in that number of years me and my friends have gained fame around the world as we averted crisis after crisis, most of them perpetrated by All For One zealots, Ochako's quirk counseling program growing to the point where it's recognized as its own field of medical treatment, Kachan doing his best at both being a husband and an expecting father, my friends moving on with their lives and even me, managing being a teacher, a pro hero and a boyfriend.'
Izuku Midoryia, on his off day from work, was patrolling his home town of Aldera as Deku when he received a phone call from his old teacher and idol Toshinori Yagi, known world wide as Allmight.
" hey there Allmight, what can I help you with?"
Allmight chuckled as he responded with.
' still not an ounce of hesitation, your old nemesis Muscular managed to break his way out of Tartarus with a few other criminals terrorizing a large group of people near a local mall. I'm sending you the location now.'
Deku replied with.
" thanks, anything more I should know about?"
Allmight gave him the following update.
' Dynamight, Uravity, Pinky and Red Riot are already in-route to the scene.'
Deku acknowledged as he received the location. Ending the conversation Deku used his servos on his legs to boost his speed as he used the graplins on his wrists to move even faster. In a record time of 7 minutes and 30 seconds he made it to a very familiar place, the mall he and his friends went to before the summer training camp and speaking of friends.
" you guys made it, where's Muscular?"
Red Riot spoke next.
" Dynamight is holding him and his gang at bay for now, I offered to act as his backup but you know him."
Deku didn't have time to chuckle nervously or sweat drop as he asked the following.
" tell me you got most of the civilians out."
Pinky at that smirked,
" most of them, we even managed to find brave volunteers who offered to keep an eye on them or at least to spot anyone we might missed."
Deku at that took charge stating.
" Red Riot and Pinky, make sure everyone evacuates the area, Uravity and me will make sure no villain escapes Dynamight's sights."
As the group split Pinky fought the urge to tease the couple as Uravity and Deku managed to link up with Dynamight.
" don't remember asking for backup."
Deku retorted back.
" think of it as friendly competition then."
With that said and done the impromptu trio managed the subdue most of the escaped villains until Muscular decided to make his presence known.
" hey Deku!…. Today's the day I'll kill you once and for all….."
Dynamight at that smirked, knowing it will rile up the villain.
" hey dumbass, if anyone's gonna kill Deku that would be me!"
That got Muscular riled up alright as a battle ensued with Deku acting as the decoy while Uravity and Dynamight lead the attack with the former making him weightless and the latter attempted to launch him like a rocket with his explosion quirk, that didn't go as planned.
" damn… we need more fire power!"
An all too familiar voice replied.
" I'll take care of it…. Flashfreeze Heatwave… stream mode…."
With that said and done the attack Shoto launched propelled the villain upwards just enough for Uravity to release her quirk in a way that rendered Muscular unconscious thanks to his muscle form, any other villain would've died from the fall or paralyzed from the waist down.
" any stragglers?"
Deku responded to Dynamight's question.
" all clear."
True to Deku's word all the villains who wreaked havoc on the mall were present and accounted for as the first responders and police have arrived on the scene. Making a quick work of carting the villains back to prison and giving a full report of the situation, the group decided to hang around the city for ild time's sake, even Bakugo agreed, even if it was to avoid returning into the mad house he called married life, speaking of which.
" so Shoto babe….. I heard from a little birdie that you and Momo are getting really serious with each other….."
Kirishima, or Red Riot as he was known to the public, sighed at the antics of his middle school friend turned into girlfriend.
" am I really that boring you still take interest in other's love life?"
Mina at that simply laughed that comment off saying.
" oh no… not at all… I'm just being happy for my friends, that's all…."
As a comedic scene of teasing going back and forth developed eventually the group passed a display of flat screens, showing a muffled interview between a reporter and a recent billionaire making waves through out the world, One David Moore as Midoriya stopped and tried to listen.
" hey Deku… what's the hold up?!"
Deku snapped out of his now apparent trance saying.
" hey guys, did someone hear anything on this new celeb David Moore?"
Kachan was the first to reply.
" plenty, Mist can't keep her mouth shut about him, neither the old hag for that matter…"
Deku gave an apologetic look saying.
" didn't mean to start a gossip group, I just can't remember if I've heard of him before or not…."
Shoto Todoroki was next to speak up.
" your confusion is understandable, in fact I was on a mission from Hawks before I stumbled onto the Muscular incident."
At that everyone said in unison.
" and what mission would that be?"
Shoto at that fished out his cellphone as he showed him a few older articles about David Moore as Bakugo was fast to take notice.
" what's the significance of those dates?"
Shoto got straight to the point.
" those dates along with the articles are the only solid records of his existence, searching for any other records before that would yield inconclusive results."
Kirishima commented.
" that's weird, are you sure this isn't some database error or maybe the guy is a recluse?"
Shoto nodded as he got to his second point.
" take a closer look at the dates marked as the oldest."
Deku did, noting that they were from three years ago until something clicked.
" those articles were published just after Endeavor stopped Mindhunter, a few months apart."
With that Shoto drove his final point.
" David Moore had a shared history with one Alan Gibbons, the alias Mindhunter used."
As the pieces all clicked at last Bakugo came around to asking.
" Hawks wants us to take a closer look at this Moore guy, probably Mindhunter in disguise."
Ochaco spoke up after listening quietly.
" so we need a way in…. And I think I got the perfect one."
With that everyonr thought of the exact same thing, the quirk counseling program.
Deku however pointed out the following.
" if this David Moore is in fact Mindhunter, how do we go about proving it without him being onto us from minute one?."
Dynamight at that kept quiet as he broke away from their little group as he made a phone call lasting about 5 minutes.
" found us a way in and a solid lead to start with."
At that Mina/Pinky half joked.
" well go on….. don't leave us in suspense."
Dynamight, obliging to that request in his usual way, gave them the following pieces of info, Moore's primarily invested in hospital ventures, specifically research into prosthetics, secondly and most importantly, it appears this billionaire works and resides on a group of islands located somewhere within the Bermuda triangle after making that part of the world into the latest tourist attraction. At this moment Red Riot thought of something as the group continued walking and talking through the city.
" so…. Does anyone think it's a good idea to involve Mr. Aizawa and Phantom Thief into this….. I'm honestly not sure what to think of it."
Knowing exactly what Red Riot meant as Neito Monoma A.K.A Phantom Thief could be really obnoxious when he was in any way, shape or form the center of attention, speaking of which the group noticed that it was already around 16:00 as Deku asked.
" anyone up for grabbing late lunch?"
With that most of the group cited they had things to attend to, except for Ochako saying.
" I've got nothing better to do."
Deku at that gave her a genuine smile saying.
" and I know the perfect place, follow me."
Taking the lead the two wound up in an apartment complex within a five minute walk from a local hospital as Ochako marveled.
" you have your own place?"
Deku at that humbly replied.
" it's not much, just a place I'm renting when I can't commute back and forth between home and work."
Describing the place in a few short words would be like describing a classic Lancia, decent when everything about it functioning properly. It was a studio apartment with everything you'll need would be in arm's reach with a window overlooking the city.
" I know this isn't much but please make yourself at home."
With that Ochaco Uraraka made herself comfortable as she planted a small kiss on Izuku's mouth.
" are you ever gonna stop worrying?"
Izuku at that scratched the back of his neck, replying while checking what's in the fridge.
" old habits die hard, say?, what about Omlettes for lunch and Mochi for dessert?"
With delight in her voice Ochaco stated.
" and you learned to cook as well?…. Are you showing off?"
Izuku in turn shrugged.
" I wouldn't say that, it's the only thing I can make without hurting myself or making a mess."
The two at that shared a laugh and a good meal before Izuku walked Ochaco to the train station, making sure she was safe before saying their goodbyes. In the following days to come the group met up with Both Aizawa and Phantom Thief to prepare for their mission ahead.
Somewhere above the Bermuda triangle.
A commercial plane carrying Midoriya and his group were making their approach as Bakugo couldn't help but notice that from above the islands looked like the symbol Mindhunter was sporting 3 years ago as he muttered to himself.
" how subtle of you."
camie, sitting next to him asked.
" did you say something Fuse?"
In his own weird yet genuine form of caring Bakugo pointed out exactly at what he was commenting on as his wife Camie caught on as to what her husband was referring to as Monoma, the latests pro hero being roped into this crazy adventure commented.
" I don't know what's weirder, Bakugo being nice or someone else being just as nice and marrying him."
Bakugo caught the comment as he replied with restrained anger in his voice.
" say….. do you wish to take up skydiving without a parachute?"
Monoma replied without an ounce of fear in him.
" it's better than the accommodations here, you'd think the famous class 1-A could afford a private jet or…"
Before his rant could continue the plane hit a slight "turbulence" making Monoma hit the back of his head, knocking him unconscious for the remainder of the flight as Bakugo commented to the rest of his fri… no, he's more comfortable calling them team mates.
" remind me to give that fly boy of ours a raise."
With the plane landing on the private Runway of David Moore the group of heroes consisting of the usual gang plus Camie and Monoma disembarked from said airplane as Deku took a small detour.
" thanks for the lift Rody, say hi to everyone back home for us."
Rody gave a nod saying.
" don't screw things up hero, you hear me?"
Deku gave him a slightly awkward chuckle while asking.
" what makes you think that will happen?"
With the goodbyes out of the way the group made their way towards the resort parts of the island, wondering along the coast line.
" so what are we doing here besides wasting time wandering around?"
Momo at that asked Monoma.
" do you wish for another knock to the head?"
That shut up Monoma fast for a a few moments. As the day went on Bakugo couldn't help but wonder.
" do you think he's messing with our brains?"
Shoto replied as follows.
" doubt that, remember he exerts himself while using his quirk."
With that said and done the group continued on exploring before David Moore himself came out to greet them.
" well if it isn't the famous heroes Deku, Dynamight and Shoto"
The voice was that of an older gentleman in his mid 40's to early 50's, to that voice a form soon followed an image of an older man in great shape and a suit that screamed eccentric yet approachable billionare.
Deku at that countered.
" we've brought a few more along for an island holiday as well."
Moore's reaction was as such.
" the more the merrier, now if you'll excuse me I still have an island to run."
At that Uravity spoke up.
" if I may, I would love to discuss on starting a venture with you, if that's possible."
David Moore gave a supposedly gentle and amused smile.
" I don't see why not, would you mind following me?"
As Uravity began following Moore Deku mouthed the next phrase.
' please be careful.'
As Uravity disappeared from their line of sight the group were about to begin their covert operation until they were approached by a familiar face.
" you guys are here too?"
That face was none other than Kyoka Jiro also known as the heroine Earphone Jack. Sensing this was no coincidence she asked with a straight face.
" this isn't a n accident that you're here is it?"
The group at that caught Jiro up to speed with everything they managed to uncover as she said without hesitation.
" you can count me in and kaminari too."
As she called Kaminari over the group finally set on a plan of action, splitting up into three groups, one to cause a distraction while the other two would disable security without causing tourists to panic while the last one will sift through David Moore's files, determining what his final endgame is. Speaking of said Billionaire, him and Ms. Uraraka, settling on that formality on their walk over, arrived at his main office which looked like a renaissance painting of the Greek pantheon realized in real life.
" how shall we go about it?"
Uraraka replied with both awe and wariness.
" do you mean if we should start with small talk or skip right into talk shop?"
David Moore gave a playful smirk.
" precisely."
Uraraka replied as she kept her guard up.
" let's talk shop."
David Moore dropped all pretenses.
" I have no interest in working with you since you feel the same, I know exactly why are you here and what's going through your mind."
Uraraka humored him.
" and why am I here exactly Mindhunter?"
David Moore answered with little to no amusement.
" you're thinking, how can I stop men like him from destroying the only world you know and how to protect the ones you love."
Uraraka only gave him a nod of confirmation as he stated stoically.
" you were wrong about one thing, there are no men like me."
David Moore at that morphed in front of Uraraka's face as he now bore a resemblance to the form he presented himself three years ago, only this time the details of his costume merged with his muscle fiber, appearing as a blue and purple skinless human.
" allow me to share a memory with you."
The memory itself began with a quaint English town surrounded by lush forest only to then transport them to a large English estate with rooms filled with artwork ranging from comic panels, paintings and statues made out of various materials. The man living there was the same form that Mindhunter presented himself before, one Alan Gibbons. The next few images shown were of Mindhunter being created as it was revealed that he was more akin to an English butler and companion.
At some point Uraraka took note that Alan Gibbons looked worse for wear as she asked.
" is he okay?"
Mindhunter replied with a tinge of Melancholy in his voice.
" what you see before you are the side effects of his quirk, ones that plague me as well."
Uraraka didn't hesitate to ask.
" what is your quirk exactly?, I only know it's a manipulation type."
Mindhunter replied.
" the quirk is officially called Rorschach, it allows anyone who possesses it to manipulate reality using his or her own thoughts."
Uraraka then asked logically.
" let me guess, it drives the user crazy every time the quirk is used?"
Mindhunter added.
" it destroys your mind on a cellular level as well, however it depends on what and how you use it."
As Uraraka/Uravity allowed the weight of that statement sink in before she allowed her guard to drop for a bit as the inevitable question arouse.
" then why did you attack us with such a quirk, we could've helped you…. We could still try….."
Mindhunter cut her off with anger clearly present within his voice.
" help me!?….. who said I asked for such a thing?!…"
Before the conversation could escalate Mindhunter composed himself.
" do you know for how long I walked this earth child?"
Uravity answered as her guard went up immediately after Mindhunter's outburst.
" no idea, but if I had to guess, I'd say a very long time."
Mindhunter replied with a monotone voice.
" a fair estimate, and do you know what I have learned repeatedly through all those years of existence?"
Uravity didn't answer, in fact she tried a few times to rush him and capture Mindhunter while he was distracted, but either from paralizing fear or sheer control of his quirk prevented her from moving as all she could do was gesture the villain to continue.
" one, the world will always be in a constant state of war with brief interludes of peace and two true failure is letting a potential go to waste."
With that Uravity was released as Mindhunter said the following statement.
" be a good girl and deliver the following message for me."
A faint sounds of explosions went by as Uravity smirked.
" you can deliver said message yourself."
At this precise moment Great Explosion God Dynamight made a huge entrance using his explosive fire power followed by Phantom Thief and Illusio-Camie sharing their quirk in order to try and confuse Mindhunter, however said villain wasn't bothered as it seemed he was concentrating on something.
In the meantime, With Deku, Shoto and Red Riot on the resort part of the island. The three heroes in question are evacuating civillians from the future battle ground at the moment while Shoto asked the following.
" any updates from the other teams yet?"
Deku replied while keeping a close eye on the evacuees.
" not as of right now, though Dynamight's team seems like they have things well in hand."
With that said and done Shoto urged Deku to double check as the hero in question obliged.
" team Creati come in, any progress on your end?"
Creati at that answered via a commlink.
' we managed to find our way inside with little to no resistance, that honestly bothers me a little, but more importantly we're downloading any data we can find, plus securing any hard copies that we can find.'
Deku replied affirmatively as Red Riot asked the obvious question.
" I'm no lawyer or anything but don't we need probable cause or some kind of warrant to secure these evidence we're collecting?"
Shoto at that replied with.
" Hawks cleared it all before he sent me on this mission."
As Red Riot steered the evacuees to safety he couldn't but notice that some of them had prosthetics on, super advanced on at that. By this point it shouldn't bother him because the island wasn't just a tourist destination but the attachments themselves were in a noticeable purple and blue color scheme, looked like muscle fiber and seem to be growing and stretching?.
" guys, I have a feeling something's about to go wrong."
Before any of the heroes present could ask what Red Riot meant the evacuees with prosthetics stopped instantaneously as they turned to stare holes at the backs of their skulls as the muscle fiber began consuming the people attached to them.
" you're thinking what I'm thinking?"
Deku confirmed Shoto's suspicions.
" indeed and it's not good at all."
Back with team Creati, the research facility part of the island.
Infiltrating the building Creati, Pinky, Earphone Jack and Chargebolt noticed that security was severly lacking as the male hero pointed out.
" is it just me or does our part in this seems too easy?"
Managing to fry most of the electronics in the facility the group arrived at the archive room as the evidence collection process began, to Creati's surprise however the data being collected wasn't a grand scheme or design, it was a long list comprising of current and potential patients. Not letting this stop her Creati created a secure commlink directly to Hawks.
' hey there, how can I help you?'
Creati simply replied with.
" we've found evidence that David Moore isn't exactly what he's presenting himself to be…. Though some of it is plain disturbing…"
Hawks finished for her.
' so you're requesting for backup.'
Creati at that contradicted Hawks.
" actually I contacted you to deploy every hero available across Japan and advise our allies overseas to do the same."
Hawks confirmed.
' understood, though are some heroes who already deployed to your location.'
With that Creati thanked him nonetheless before Hawks ended the conversation with.
' you're all doing great, keep at it for at least about four more hours.'
With that the line disconnected as the group wasted no time in getting out the minute the evidence were being done collecting. Making their way outside however they were greeted by the same surprise team Deku was facing, an army of possessed people being controlled by Mindhunter as Chargebolt exclaimed.
" seriously?!"
Earphone Jack shared the same sentiment.
" for once you'll get no argument from me, Yaomomo?, got any ideas on what to do in this situation?"
Creati at that already thought of a plan.
" I did but it would take a bit of time and energy on my part….."
Both Chargebolt and pinky said in unison.
" don't worry we got you."
With that said and done Pinky used her acid quirk to strategically dissolve a few objects around the building as she created a bottle neck path for the enemies approaching them while Chargebolt used his quirk on his lowest setting, making himself exactly what he advertised 11 years ago, a human stun gun. Finishing creating what she needed Creati got everyone's attention as she handed them what looked like a gas mask and pest control equipment.
" so we're putting them to sleep Yaomomo?"
Creati confirmed.
" use it wisely, I haven't managed to produce a large quantity of said sleeping gas."
With that done the group started making their way towards Deku and the rest as Chargebolt asked.
" shouldn't have we went against this Mindhunter dude?"
Pinky replied first.
" and risk getting in the middle of Dynamight's fight?"
Chargebolt at this point felt shivers running down his spine as he pointed out.
" good point."
The group continued to immobolize their ' enemies' without severly injuring them, making their way to team Deku.
" tell me you have good news."
Chargebolt joked..
" we're not dead."
Deku fought hard not to roll his eyes before continuing on asking.
" anything else to report?"
Pinky at that butted into the conversation before Chargebolt could make another groaner of a joke.
" good news is we got backup incoming, bad news is, backup will arrive in about four hours."
Deku acknowledged as he contacted Dynamight asking.
" how's things on your end?"
Dynamight didn't respond immediately, it took a few tense minutes before he responded.
' trying to avoid him kicking my ass while also keeping him put…. Now do you mind coming up with something useful for us?…..'
Deku didn't hesitate to take charge.
" Chargebolt, make sure none of Mindhunter's foot soldiers get in our way, Red Riot and Earphone Jack, make sure all the evacuees left the island without any surprises on board, Shoto, Creati and I will raise a barrier to keep the villain at bay."
No acknowledgement was needed as everyone did their assigned tasks as ordered while in the meantime team Dynamight kept on fighting with Minhunter dodging and evading every attack thrown at him.
" Copy cat, Mist….. make sure you don't give him an opening to use his damned quirk."
Phantom thief replied sarcastically.
" oh really…. Is that all…..?"
Dynamight wasn't having any of it.
" don't be a moron and focus…."
With that the fight raged on with Illusio-Camie and Uravity tried to disorientate MindHUnter while Dynamight and Phantom thief took turns in blasting him or at least trying to keep him from leaving. As team Dynamight kept Mindhunter occcupied for as long as possible Deku and the rest of his team constructed a barrier strong enough to keep him at bay, Deku however was going on ahead stating.
" I'm going to make sure everyone in that office is fit enough to move."
While Deku ran at top speed Shoto pulled out a few metalic frames as he used them to make a few swords of fire and ice for him and Momo.
" take these just in case."
Creati's reply was as follows.
" how thoughtful of you."
Speaking of thoughts, deku while mid run contacted Dynamight.
" Kachan, let him walk away."
Dynamight's reply was immediate.
' we can't, he's not planning on walking away….. he plans to disappear altogether.'
Deku acknowledged as he gave the following suggestion.
" make sure he's using up most of his energy."
Dynamight scoffed.
' like I couldn't figure that by myself.'
Sighing at Dynamight's antics Deku ran even faster than before until he reached what was left from David Moore's offices.
"is everyone alright?!"
Uravity's reply came as follows.
" yeah…. But Mindhunter stopped all of a sudden and we physically can't approach him."
Dynamight added with spite in his voice.
" bastard's too smart for his own good."
Deku's first instinct was to check if Mindhunter was tracking their movements and voice at any given point, seeing there was a subtle hint of tracking by the villain the hero in question signaled his friends to follow him as far away as possible.
" Kachan, make it look like you're still trying to attack him even if your attacks backfire, I have an idea that may work, either way we can't let him continue what he's no matter what."
Dynamight scoffed.
" this better be an actual good idea because I just know this is going to hurt in the morning."
Illusio-Camie and Phantom Thief followed him.
" I'm going to make sure he doesn't do anything too crazy 'kay fam?!"
Phantom Thief added.
" whatever she said."
With that said and done the rest of the heroes headed back towards the resort as Uravity asked.
" mind filling me in? Why are we running away from him?"
Deku simply replied with.
" we're not, just looking for the right heroes for the job."
Those heroes turned out to be Earphone Jack and Chargebolt as the former made sure the coast was clear while the latter made sure the ships and the tourists being carried are out of harms way while the former used her jacks to determine if more of those Mindhunter creatures are gunning for them.
"Kaminari, you're not brain dead right?"
Chargebolt smirked only to then wince.
" no but I got a killer headache… what about you?"
Earphone Jack replied.
" other then fighting at half strength?, everything's rocking so far."
At that Chargebolt stayed unusually quiet as he stated.
" hey Jiro….Kyoka…. Sorry about everything….."
Noticing how Kaminari….. no, Denki was being serious all of a sudden Jiro couldn't help but ask.
" what do you have to be sorry for all of a sudden?"
Kaminari sighed before saying.
" I shouldn't have pushed you to come with me to this stupid island…. I… I just wanted to help you recover what you lost….."
With that Jiro closed the distance between herself and Kaminari as she gave him a small kiss on his cheek.
" stop it, what's done is done…. Besides knowing you care is enough for me…. Now get yourself together, we've got friends to save."
Earphone Jack and Chargebolt at that made their way back to the others only to see that Creati, Shoto, Red Riot and Pinky were making short work of the Mindhunter minions.
" well what do you know… they didn't need us after a…"
Before Chargebolt could finish that sentence Deku and Uravity rushed by as the former said.
" earphone Jack, Chargebolt….. we need your help."
Both heroes followed Deku and Uravity back without hesitation as the former updated them quickly on the situation.
" so let me get this straight, this creep just stopped everything, standing there like the statue of David?"
Everyone looked at him as though he grew a third eye as he said defensively.
" what?….. I know a bit about art….. so what."
With that said and done team Dynamight were keeping Mindhunter busy as their de-facto leader asked.
" Copy cat, are you slacking off?"
Phantom Thief only replied with.
" no….."
Dynamight smirked as he kept trying to chip away at Mindhunter's defenses as Phantom Thief reached his time limit using his ally's explosion quirk.
" mind if copy your quirk again?"
Dynamight's only response was.
" I'm Kinda busy at the moment…"
the story with Illusio-Camie wasn't any different either and besides he had doubts illusions would actually work against someone like Mindhunter who can bend reality to his whims, then an idea hit him, he had still one ace up his sleeve.
"what kind of a lame name is Mindhunter…. It should've been Mindfucker…"
Hoping that the villain would take interest in him Phantom Thief kept up with his obnoxious behavior.
" some villain… the power to wipe out reality and what do you do?….. go after third rate heroes….. how about putting those powers to the test against an elite hero like myself!….."
Something clicked in Dynamight's head as he understood Copy cat's strategy as he played into it.
" hey!… who are you calling third rate loser!… you want to pick a fight with me!"
Phantom Thief smirked as he amped up his obnoxiousness to eleven.
" you see what I mean!….. third rate and childish!"
Mindhunter, seemingly snapped out of it exclaiming.
" oh due shut up… don't mistake me for a fool."
Phantom Thief at that moment felt strange as he tried to speak but felt as though he had a studder or a heavy lisp, only to realize that his mouth was beginning to disappear. Before anything else could happen though an all too familiar sound based attack hit Mindhunter followed by an electric shock that broke the villain's concentration.
" cutting it kinda close don't you think!?"
Chargebolt joked.
" I think you meant thank you."
Not appreciating the attempted humor Phantom Thief shot back.
" I meant what I meant!"
Speaking of shooting while the younger pro heroes did their best to keep Mindhunter on the island, a cargo plane belonging to a veteran pro was speeding along towards their location, trhat pro being Tsunagu Hakamada, also known as fiber hero Best Jeanist.
" are you going to jump off the plane again?"
Beast Jeanist answered his pilot while preparing for the fight ahead.
" yes."
Said pilot wasn't afraid to retort.
" you could do the sensible thing and wait in your seat until we land."
Best Jeanist smirked under his high denim collar.
" like denim jeans, one can be stylish and practical at the same time."
Sighing the pilot just remarked in return.
" you may have a flair for the dramatics but no one can top your passion for clothing puns."
Best Jeanist said nothing as he waited for the signal to jump out. Once the drop zone has been reached both he and his support items jumped out of the cargo plane as the latest villain in question was in sight.
'you think you're safe since you wear no clothes to manipulate?…. How unfortunate for you, I've been honing my skills to manipulate any type of fiber… including muscle fiber.'
Looking up Dynamight smirked to himself as he addressed Mindhunter.
" you should've taken us out while you had the chance."
Mindhunter wasn't phased in the least as though he knew something the heroes didn't.
