Chapter 9
Pitch Black's smile was evil. He had Mother Goose's library in his grasp. Now for Qwerty. After hours of hunting, furious in not finding her main book of tales he did something that would make the Dark Ages look like a gentle rain.
He closed his eyes and dug his sharp nails into the first book on the first shelve that started the library. The book instantly started turning black. He could hear the screams even now. Book by book, shelf by shelf, one by one the Ganderly was turned from a place of hope and remembrance of all the stories of the world into blackness. Sand to be exact. He destroyed anything that mentioned an Jac or a Odo, which it seems help keep the idea of Jack Frost alive. Well no longer. The boy who wouldn't die will soon be dead. And Katherine will be his Dark Princess, never mind what Mother Nature thought. She threw him away a long time ago.

Jamie shivered in the sudden cold that sprang up as he was happily in a snow fight with his friends after lunch. Suddenly it didn't look like an awesome winter, but a dark and dank one. He didn't even want to be with his friends, who all started to go home anyway.

Jac and Odo didn't realize at first that they were disappearing but continued on towards Burgess which Jac guess where her mom lived. While she was drawing the door she wished to bring her mom back to the Ganderly. Her real home.
"Jac!" Odo cried out as he discovered black sand creeping up his arms when he went to scratch his nose. His sister turned towards him and gasped as her brother turned into black sand that disappeared.
Jac with the last of her strength sent a message to her Uncle Nick even if he didn't know who she was since she was the keeper of the Ganderly while her mom missed her memories. She hoped it was enough.

"We need to find the rest of your memories else all the guardians will be lost forever." Qwerty shivered as the wind picked up and howled outside the house. A banging on the door made them both jump. Qwerty settled on Katherine's shoulders as she pulled a throwing dagger from a kitchen drawer. She had skills with daggers.
Katherine threw open the door ready to defend herself, but the dagger slipped out of her hand as she took in a bewildered Kozmotis Pitcher and his daughter Emily Jane on her doorstep.
"What?" The question was not completely out of her mouth when Emily Jane grabbed her and pushed her into a swirling globe that she didn't notice at first. Katherine barely heard Emily Jane say that they would catch up when she slammed painfully onto a stone floor just a small note made out of blue construction paper popped out of thin air and landed on the unconscious young woman.
The guardians as a whole blinked at this sudden appearance while having their night snack before bed. Jack's only thought was, 'Oh so that's Mr. Qwerty Ombric was telling me about."
Two seconds later the still confused Mr. Pitcher and his daughter showed up. Jack stammered something and fled the scene while the rest of the guardians demanded what was going on.
