Deadpool and the Warners returned.
"Okay… unfreeze!" Deadpool went as the scene continued.
Number 16)
Appearing between two fighters was a female who landed on her rear, weapons flying out as she pulled herself up.
"You should run while you can!" This girl, a blue-skinned undead in a pink robe matching that of Ancient China, said to her opponent.
Then it cuts to a purple haired girl with red wings in her hair and on her back, wearing a red swimsuit-like top with lavender sleeves and leggings, and high-heeled red shoes.
"Showtime!" She happily shouted as she threw a top hat at her opponent, a vampire, which causes the girl to change to playboy bunny as her foe started to do attacks while on a platform, which leads to her holding a sign that showed the symbol of a lightning bolt that results in the vampire getting shocked.
"Hsien-ko and Lilith from Darkstalkers." NeoMark reveals.
"FINALLY! Addressing the elephant in the room!" Deadpool said loudly.
This led to everyone cleaning their ears out.
"There's a were-elephant in this franchise?" 61394 asks.
"I think he meant metaphorically..." FP11 said.
"Darkstalkers? What's that?" Dot asked.
"It was Capcom's second best fighting game franchise during the 90's. If you've ever seen trailers of stuff like Marvel vs Capcom and wonder where Morrigan, the green haired lady with bat wings in her hair and on her back, came from… there's your answer." Deadpool said. "BTW… as Neo was writing this… The MvC collection was announced for modern consoles! No 3 but 2 has the best music!"
"Huh… I think I recall something in our days." Wakko said. "Oh! It had a cartoon right? That would fit."
Suddenly, to everyone's surprise, NeoMark grabbed Wakko Warner by the neck and pressed him into the wall violently, keeping him 3 feet off the floor.
"Never… mention… that cartoon… EVER!" NeoMark warned him with a vicious look in his eyes that made Wakko shudder in dread, much to everyone's mild fear, before he let Wakko go and smiled. "Anyway… back to talking about these two."
"Okay, Neo. Let's hear what you have to say." FP11 went.
"And let's never do that to Wakko again." BCFW walked over to make sure the cartoon character was alright. "Now, Darkstalkers…I've only played the game once, should probably download it onto my Vita, but let's get to the zombie girl and part of Morrigan's soul, last I checked."
"I don't know what Darkstalkers is." 61394 said as he took a bite of twizzlers.
"Me neither." Luiz4200 said.
"I was only introduced to it by Death Battle and Neo's story." PFN said.
"This oughta be interesting." Yakko said.
"Yeah." Wakko said.
"He just grabbed our brother by the neck and attacked him for talking about a cartoon about a game, we're just not gonna address that?" Dot asked, looking confused.
The lack of people looking at her made it clear she'd be ignored.
"Anyway… let's start with Hsien-ko. She and her sister, Mei-Ling, used a forbidden technique that turned her into a jiangshi and her sister into a priestess that turns into a talisman to keep her from losing control, and set out to fight Darkstalkers to free their mother's soul… then they died at some point and were reincarnated as human girls before regaining their powers at 16. And no, I'm not going to give any real context here. And before you ask, yes that figure is 16, I'm guessing it's something of a Shazam situation there, and no I don't know if they can do that at will as most of her depictions out of the games is based on her appearance in Night Warriors, the second game." NeoMark said.
"I recall you mentioned Lilith in previous times we've worked together. But I still barely know about her character. Who is she?" FP11 asks.
"She's a piece of Morrigan's soul given physical form." NeoMark said before he noticed most eyes were on him. "No, I'm not giving any more context… it's funnier that way and it'll make you curious enough to google it. Anyway… like her "sister" Morrigan, Lilith has also been depicted as a villain in non-game media, namely the extremely divisive Udon comics. Personally, I like her depiction in this manga where she's the main character and falls in love with a human boy, becoming his protector."
"Okay, I'm guessing you're a big Darkstalkers fan? Why else would you have considered two characters?" Yakko asks.
"He sure is. We bring it up a lot here." Deadpool said.
"What exactly is so great about Darkstalkers?" Dot asks.
"I know a little bit about it, but I need a little bit more explanation here." PFN said.
"Get me my copy." NeoMark said.
"On it." Deadpool said as he grabbed NeoMark's copy of Capcom Fighting Collection and put it in his hand.
"I just think they're neat." NeoMark went, repeating that Marge Simpson meme.
"Ha, good one Neo." 61394 said in approval. "But… wait, if you're such a big fan, why not include them?"
"Is it because of how one of those girls look?" FP11 asks.
"Or is it because one of them is a literal demon? The kind that does stuff that breaks FPs no M rating rule?" 61394 asks.
"No. Aensland Succubi prefer dreams over… doing that. And, I know Darkstalkers is known for its Gothic aesthetic… but anyone can tell you its main appeal was the goofy levels of squash & stretch because they based it on Hanna-Barbera, Disney and Looney Tunes. Anyone familiar with Skullgirls, and no one from that game is here in case you're wondering, will know the kind of tone I'm talking about. Our main character has an arcade ending in Tatsunoko vs Capcom where she acts like she wants to seduce a minor… because he's beating her in an arcade game… that's the kind of tone I'd prefer, it looks dark but it's kind of fun and goofy in a way." NeoMark said.
"So, why not use Hsien-ko… how do you pronounce that by the way? … and Lilith? And that other one you mentioned...what was her name again?" FP11 asks.
"Baby Bonnie Hood, aka BB Hood. Uh… no. I write her as someone Danny would NOT like. She's the kind of girl who'd make him run into Katie's arms. Which is saying something as the two Darkstalkers are an undead and a demon who are shockingly less evil than her." NeoMark said. "In case anyone is wondering… BB Hood is likely 12-14 years old and is already smoking and pulling out uzis."
"Is it wrong that I kinda want to see that?" 61394 asked.
"Nope." BCFW added with a wide grin.
"You want to set him up with some violent monster? For shame!" Deadpool went before looking at FP11. "Also, the closest pronunciation that's correct is see-en-ko."
"In terms of how they'd work, I could see Hsien-ko immediately connecting with Danny, seeing as they're both teenagers who turned into undead entities and fight evil. She has the mindset of a modern teeanger and, at least seen with text from the third game and MvC 3 dialogue, is clumsy but also a bit upbeat, so I can see these two getting along well. As for Lilith, her depiction isn't consistent but her whole thing of being a clone, sort of, could get Danny to sympathize with her as it would remind him of Danielle, and as seen in that manga, she takes to people who are nice to her. Plus, being a rather hedonistic girl, I can see her as wanting to have fun, going out and maybe wanting Danny to embrace his more supernatural side." NeoMark said.
"Ooh…" Deadpool went. "Classic Betty and Veronica style love triangle if they appeared together."
"As for why am I not using them… Here's the reasons. First off, recall how we brought up that there is a cartoon, comics, manga, and there's also a 4 part anime. There are multiple different depictions of Darkstalkers… but there hasn't been anything from the actual games since 3, in 1997. Hsien-ko and her sister return to their human bodies and Lilith… uh… well, let's just say she'll probably have a slim chance of being in Darkstalkers 4. I know someone's gonna say this wouldn't be canon even if somehow all the companies on Earth got together and made this a thing… but I prefer to stick to canon as much as possible, at least up until Danny makes his choice. And before someone suggests using versions of them from outside the games, like the comics or stuff like the VS series, that doesn't help either. Not only is the cartoon… bad, but Lilith's debut came after that series was canceled. Cross Edge, a crossover game that was the only time Lilith ever had an English VA, didn't feature Hsien-ko. Udon comics' version of the characters… well, I'm not using their version of Morrigan, so that's a no-no. And the appearance of Hsien-ko in MvC 3 is kind of iffy if she can change forms on and off like Danny in canon. Fact is, due to Capcom doing nothing with these characters except to give Morrigan a recurring spot in crossovers, there's so little to work with. Besides, most of their appearances in manga and comics mostly just repeat their first appearances. And before someone says that's a good thing because it means I got more to work with… I prefer a character who has plenty of info and events going on with them. It's why I made my rules about having a lot of screen time, these girls just have their stories repeated rather than something new or interesting going on. Much as I like Hsien-ko and Lilith, sadly Capcom hasn't done enough with them, with Hsien-ko's whole reincarnation thing in 3 being ignored and Lilith repeating her story and is either a villain or a noble protector of a boy she likes. And yeah… there's also inconsistencies with how the Darkstalkers are depicted too…" NeoMark then groaned.
"I see, so that's why." FP11 said
"Got it, no mixing canon or making your own." 61394 said. "As for my thoughts on these two… They don't sound like they'd have good chemistry with Danny." 61394 was making a so-so motion. "At least not to me."
"Yeah…" BCFW hissed through his teeth. "That is too complex to go with. Good call."
"Yeah, that makes it less complicated to the readers…" PF1991 said.
"And hey, I know a lot of people would have wanted me to put Charlie from Hazbin Hotel, at least when it was still a pilot, but she was too recent to be put in here. Putting one of these two in here would have been more likely." NeoMark said.
"Who?" FP11 asks.
"A popular indie animation about the demon princess of the not-so-happy-place trying to redeem her fellow demons so they can ascend to heaven." Deadpool answered.
"It's like Broadway on your tv." BCFW added with wide eyes and Jazz hands.
"I never saw it." 61394 said before a question came to his mind. "If that pilot alone came out before Many Dates, would you have considered it, boss?"
"I don't think so. I haven't seen that show." FP11 responded. "Based on what I heard… no, I wouldn't have added it."
"I see." Deadpool said with a shrug. "Well… this isn't an FP11 crossover story, this is a NeoMark crossover story. And Neo here is WAY more okay with using characters like them… so maybe, Hsien-ko and Lilith can do that pairing of adorable yet very unsettling at the same time many of you reading were so crazy for."
Number 17)
A biker parks their vehicle. The biker in question takes her skull-themed helmet off, revealing herself to be a Japanese girl with short hair, wearing a green camo sleeveless shirt, red and black biker gloves, black leather pants with red kneecaps, silver boots and skull-patterned black jacket wrapped around her waist.
"If I go too far… please forgive me!" She said as she took on a fighting stance.
"Akira Kazama from Rival Schools." NeoMark said. "Yeah, may as well get all the video game characters I almost put here out of the way, starting with another Capcom character."
"Didn't you mention this game earlier in this story? Also, what exactly is this one about?" FP11 asks.
"Yes, Capcom's first 3D game about high schoolers getting into brawls. And arguably, the most recognized character of that game is Akira Kazama. No relation to Asuka Kazama, as she's from Tekken by Bandai Namco… although, I'd be down if they made her a distant relative in a crossover." NeoMark said.
"Remember, you're in a room of people who don't play fighting games for longer periods than the should, gotta let them know. So, who is Akira?" Deadpool asks.
"So… here's the abridged reminder… Rival Schools: United by Fate, aka Private Justice Academy: Legion of Heroes, was the first 3D fighter by Capcom made in-house and it centered around high school students, the premise being several students were being attacked and kidnapped, all done by an elite school called Justice High. Akira is introduced as a biker in full gear, attending Gedo High School, an all-male school that was once respected in academics and martial arts, but is now an institution that seeks to rehabilitate troubled teenagers. Akira transfers as her brother, Daigo, is one of the students that disappeared and claims to be his younger brother. Like Samus Aran, it's revealed at the end that Akira is a girl… also, spoilers but me telling you she's a girl was already spoiling but… you're unlikely to get to play this game on any modern systems for reasons I won't get into. In the sequel, she transfers to an all girls' school." NeoMark explained.
"How many games are in this series?" FP11 asks before seeing NeoMark hold up two fingers, before raising a third with a shrug. "Uh… why did you do that? Is it two or three?"
"Technically three… but one of them is an updated version with a dating sim… No, I'm not kidding…" NeoMark said.
"Oh… well… at least it's less confusing than Tekken." FP11 said, rubbing her head from tension.
"As for Akira… she's a nice girl, a motorcycle enthusiast, and a cat lover…" Neo said.
"She sounds like an interesting character. Hard to think she'd be at a school of delinquents." FP11 commented.
"Although… She's known to act more aggressive and fight crazy when she wears that helmet. Either she's just more confident when we don't see her face, or that's just her real persona and she's too afraid to let people see her face when she's like that." NeoMark said.
"Didn't you say Gedo was a school for delinquents? So, is her brother one?" Luiz4200 asks.
"No, Daigo actively tries to get everyone, even his gang, to drop it and become model citizens and be good people." NeoMark said.
"He sounds like a nice guy. So far, Akira is an okay date for Danny." PFN said.
"She kind of sounds like a better replacement for Barbara than Asuka. Sure, Asuka's close to her dad… but Akira sounds more like a vigilante, especially with the black colors and the concealing her face. Sounds like a Japanese Batgirl to me." 61394 said.
"Funny you mention that, for she's friends with Sakura just like Barbara is with Kara. See? Sakura was a guest character in the home release of the first game, and while they spent years claiming that it's not the same universe, Capcom has admitted that, with Akira's inclusion in SF V, yes, Rival Schools is canon to Street Fighter." NeoMark said.
BCFW hummed in intrigue as he listened, checking his phone to keep up with facts every now and then.
"Maybe she and Danielle can bond over being protective of their big brother figures? It could be an interesting idea." FP11 said.
"I wish our sister was that protective…" Yakko complained.
"Yeah… instead of hitting us with a mallet." Wakko complained.
The two were then flattened by the mallet of an unamused Dot.
"Anyway… Akira is the most popular character of the series, considering she's the only character to have made the jump to Street Fighter rather than appear in one of the VS games or other crossovers." NeoMark said.
"I'm gonna assume more people have heard of Street Fighter than Rival Schools. I guess that means the latter would have to be explained more?" BCFW clicked his tongue. "Yeah…that sounds like too much to put in."
"I guess? But is there anything else we should know about?" FP11 asks.
"Probably." 61394 responded.
"So… with all that said… you're probably wondering why I left out such a beloved fan-favorite character out of this version of Many Dates that is clearly more video game friendly?" NeoMark said before he rolled his eyes. "Or… You don't care about Akira, or any of the characters I featured either for this chapter or the main story, because none of them are characters you wanted, and want me to just finish it because this chapter is already taken much longer than it should have and just want me to go back to writing either goofy one shots about Aqua Teen Hunger Force, or finish stories I promised to finish a long time ago because this story took too long…" There was a long and awkward pause from everyone. "I mean… the latter is likely?"
"... Neo? Are you feeling okay?" FP11 asked with a slightly worried expression.
"Well… sure, Akira is awesome and it'd be funny to see her brother be overprotective against a boyfriend with superpowers… but a few things. 1) Rival Schools is something you don't have access to these days unless you were in Japan and had access to the PlayStation Network… and just the first one. Sure, I used characters from works like Grossology, but those are at least shows you could have access to through streaming services. All the games I used for characters have either new games or could be playable on new systems… Rival Schools can't even get a re-release. And 2) Akira and her brother are the only characters from the series who have appeared in anything major, complete with being the only ones in any language other than Japanese. With Sakura, Kula, and Asuka, it was a lot easier to acknowledge and feature a bunch of characters from their worlds. Side note, I almost featured Mai Shiranui in the Kula chapter, but FP11 suggested otherwise." NeoMark said.
"WWWHHHHAAAA?!" Deadpool went.
"Sorry, but it's easy to see why Sakurai didn't give her a cameo in Smash. Seriously, I can only hope she owns a snow suit when it gets cold." FP11 said.
"I'm…kinda with Deadpool on this one." BCFW said, scratching the back of head as he took a position beside the merc.
"Yeah, the fact that even the main characters of Rival Schools haven't seen anything to the point where they don't even get so much as a mention, much less even a minor cameo where they say something, I decided to go with more well known gaming franchises. Plus, conveniently, those games had big important releases around the time, just as they do right now. I liked the idea of that synergy. Also… while I'm here… CAPCOM! I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'RE READING THIS BUT… AT LEAST REMAKE THE GAME WITHOUT THE ISSUES THAT KEEP YOU FROM RE-RELEASING IT! IF BANDAI NAMCO CAN REMAKE PAC-MAN WORLD TO GET AROUND ISSUES WITH MS. PAC-MAN, AND DISNEY COULD ALLOW A REMAKE OF EPIC MICKEY, YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE!" NeoMark called out. "... or a new Darkstalkers with Danny here as a guest fighter? That works too…"
"Uh… I don't think anyone from Capcom is reading this. I could be wrong, but I don't think a request from a crossover starring a Nickelodeon character is really gonna happen any time soon." FP11 said.
"It took the goghostagain movement nearly twenty years just to get A Glitch in Time." 61394 said while mildly annoyed
"True, but I wish they didn't go back to the status quo." PFN said.
"Anyway… thoughts on Akira?" NeoMark asks.
"I don't know this character. From what you wrote, I guess I can say that it would have been an interesting match." FP11 says.
"She sounds like she would have been a good date." 61394 says.
"Danny might feel insecure that she drives a motorcycle and he just drives a scooter." Luiz4200 says. "I wonder how his parents would react to him dating a motorcyclist?"
"Awesome… now… next character. And… another Capcom character." NeoMark said.
"... starting to think you want Capcom to listen to your complaints more than you want Nickelodeon to give Danny proper new animated series. Emphasis on proper." BCF says.
"Probably not going to happen anytime soon." 61394 answered.
"Agreed." PFN said.
"I'd settle for a new season with Casper High adjusting to the fact Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom." Luiz4200 says.
"Now now…" FP11 began. "Let's leave him be… if he's got beef with Capcom… well… that's his problem to deal with."
"Gee… thanks…" NeoMark grumbled.
61394 pats Neo on the shoulder.
"You know we love you, buddy…" He said.
"Next character…" NeoMark said flatly.

"OBJECTION!" The courtroom was interrupted by a girl whose dark hair was mostly loose with a bun at the top of her head, along with a purple kimono. "Think about the message Detective Gumshoe gave you earlier and then decide if you're ready to give up so soon!"
"Introducing Maya Fey from the Ace Attorney series." NeoMark said before sheepishly looking away. "I swear… this is the last Capcom character… this was not some ad to get people to buy Capcom games… Granted, the Ace Attorney series is now available on all systems and those Investigation Games are coming soon in their own collections and th-"
"Neo! You're shilling!" Deadpool said. "We're not getting paid in cash or free copies of stuff like Devil May Cry 5!"
"Sorry…" NeoMark said.
"Seriously, Capcom? My parent company is talking with you again, I am more than okay with getting a game like ol' Dante! You'd do me justice!" Deadpool said.
"Yeah, I'm sure they're getting on that." 61394 snarked as he rolled his eyes while having a drink
"I don't think Capcom is reading this. If they were, I'm sure Neo would have gotten a message or review from them or something." FP11 remarked.
"Anyway… Maya here is from the Ace Attorney games. In other words… not a fighting game." NeoMark says.
"Shocker." Deadpool said.
"Anyone familiar with the Ace Attorney games… speak up now." NeoMark said.
"I've heard of it!" BCF says as he raises his hand. "It's a series of visual novel games with puzzle elements where you are an attorney proving the innocence of your client while getting to the truth."
"Right. So… a bit of a confession but… of all the Capcom games I've mentioned… this is the only one I have never played any installments from. Rival Schools I did… at least I recall doing so… in the arcade, Street Fighter and Darkstalkers? Definitely. But not Ace Attorney because… well, I'm not a huge fan of visual novels. Maya was a character I heard about and, upon looking her up, I started to see potential." NeoMark admits.
"Visual novel?" FP11 asks. "Really?"
"Huh… I didn't think visual novels counted." 61394 said.
"OBJECTION!" BCF went suddenly, getting everyone else's attention.
"Uh… What's up?" FP11 asks.
"Last I checked, it was a meme." BCFW shrugged nonchalantly. "I figured it'd jump start things."
"Oh… okay. I know a small bit of it because of that quote. So, who's Maya Fey?" PFN asks.
"Based on the whole attorney thing, I imagine she's a lawyer." Luiz4200 jokingly said. "Practically all I know about the series comes from a chapter of the visual novel and from that vídeo featuring Ace Attorney characters doing a version of Last Will and Temperament. Does anyone want to give Dash a boot to the head?"
"So… Maya is not a fighter… not in the slightest… but she is a medium. A spirit medium." NeoMark said.
"Oh? So she's a person who has a link to communicate between the living and the dead. But wait..! How does that work in a game about a defense attorney?" FP11 asks.
"She's his assistant and recurring client. Her whole thing is that she can channel spirits of the dead to assist in the case. Also, in case you're wondering, her personality is upbeat, excitable and kind of the opposite you'd probably think a girl who could communicate with the dead is." NeoMark said.
"Ah… she's basically a contradiction of what Sam probably thinks girls like those are. Already, I sense she'll hate her." Deadpool said.
"She's also able to turn into the people she channels." NeoMark said.
"So… if she channels someone like the victim the trial is about, she turns into that same person?" FP11 asks.
"Yup… complete with changing into a guy if it's a guy. There's some weird things to think about if Danny hooked up with her." Deadpool cheekily said.
"I should mention Maya in the original games aged from 17-19, so the earliest would be the first game." NeoMark said.
"You said she's also a recurring client? So… does that mean…?" FP11 asks.
"Yeah… Phoenix Wright… also, those names are not their Japanese names so Maya technically falls under the dub name category I mentioned before… is a series about murder trials, and she's been framed for 7 of them." NeoMark said.
"Seven times?!" 61394 exclaimed in surprise. "HOW?!"
"Bad luck, I guess…" NeoMark said with a shrug.
"Okay… ignoring the murder stuff I'd rather not include in this series, she's been framed for 7?!" FP11 asks. "This girl should probably… move from Japan… or… wherever the series takes place. Right, Yakko?" FP11 asks, turning her head to see the Warners not at her side anymore. "Yakko?"
"Sorry…" Yakko was heard from afar, sitting with his siblings as they were playing on the Gamecube. "This Capcom talk got us eager to see what games they made while we were away before our reboot."
"I'm liking this one!" Wakko went.
"Me too." Dot added.
NeoMark recognized the music playing.
"Is that Viewtiful Joe?" He asks excitedly.
"Neo…" FP11 chastised. "Not the time… We have a story to get back to. Besides, Deadpool says to stop shilling for Capcom. So… Can you tell us why you dropped Maya?"
"Oh… right… Well…" NeoMark began. "First off… as I said, I didn't play any Ace Attorney games. I didn't think I'd be able to do the series justice and make its fans happy if I didn't play it or just now got to it…"
"Hmmm…" FP11 pondered. "I suppose th-"
"OBJECTION!" BCFW went, getting up, and pointing at NeoMark while suddenly sharply dressed in a suit.
The word OBJECTION appeared in front of him, in giant, bold, red letters.
"Whoa! Where'd the giant red text come from all of the sudden?!" FP11 went, jumping out of her seat and barely avoiding them.
"Deadpool helped with the letters." BCFW nonchalantly said as he pointed at the merc with his thumb. "Anyway, at the end of the day, Neo had given the girl some thought and saw an opportunity for romantic chemistry. Given how things went with Vanessa, I'd give support that he knew what he was doing if he used her."
"Huh… I guess that's true." NeoMark said as he scratched his chin. "Although… I wanted to avoid someone connected to ghosts like Danny is. True, Maya doesn't fight ghosts, but she does work with them."
"OBJECTION!" Luiz4200 went, also doing the same pose with the red letters. "Mostly because I also wanted to shout it."
"What is going on?" FP11 questioned this.
"Famous Ace Attorney meme…" Deadpool said.
"True, Maya doesn't fight ghosts… but her connection to them gives a perspective I've never seen in any Danny pairings I recall seeing in any story." Luiz4200 went.
"Huh… that's also true." NeoMark said.
"But didn't you say Maya Fey isn't her name in Japanese? You wanted to stay consistent or whatever with their Japanese names like Makoto." FP11 reminded him.
"Yeah." NeoMark said. "That is tr-"
"OBJECTION!" PFN went, standing up and pointing at NeoMark with those same red letters. "It doesn't matter if she goes by her Japanese name or English one if the personality is consistent with the games!"
"You too?" FP11 asked.
"Sorry… this is kinda fun." PFN went with a shrug.
"Okay…" NeoMark nodded before speaking up. "I did say I didn't want to reuse Capcom and I wanted to have a little more variety in my choice of who made these characters."
"OBJECTION!" 61394 stood up and did the same pointing as the rest, along with those red letters. "You used more than one Cartoon Network and Disney character! Clearly, there was no problem in using another Capcom character! Not using someone else from Street Fighter? That's acceptable. Although, maybe the girl with worse luck than Milo might not be the best pick."
"Seriously?" FP11 questioned with a somewhat unamused look and sent it to her friends.
"Sorry… this is fun." 61394 admits.
"Huh… that's true." NeoMark nodded before shrugging. "Well… what's done is done. Murder trials aside, I guess Maya could have worked here. So, thoughts on her?"
"She sounds like an interesting character to be honest." FP11 says.
"Well, I have to agree with her. She would have been an interesting character." PFN said.
"True." Luiz4200 said.
"I never played this game." 61394 says
"Shocker, Number Boy doesn't have an opinion." Deadpool said sarcastically "For what is it the twelfth time in this chapter?"
"OBJECTION!" 61394 shouted with a grin. "No idea…"
"I do not regret what I started." BCFW grinned.
"Case closed!" Deadpool with a judge's wig went as he slammed a gavel into the podium.
"Was that there the entire time?" FP11 asked.
"I just bought it for dramatic effect. By "bought" I mean took it when no one was looking..." Deadpool said cheekily.
"Okay… onto the next character." NeoMark went, ignoring the mercy with a mouth.
"OBJECTION!" FP11 went, getting up and doing the same pose and red letters as the rest.
Everyone stared at her.
"W-What are you objecting to?" NeoMark asks before FP11 lowered her arm and smiled innocently.
"Nothing… you guys were having so much fun that I didn't want to feel left out." She said.
"Oh… okay." NeoMark went.
"Before we move on, I gotta know. Are any Capcom franchises besides Rival Schools and Final Fight canon here thanks to Street Fighter?" Deadpool asks.
"Why would other franchises be canon? I can see Rival Schools, not sure what Final Fight is, but why would other franchises be relevant here?" FP11 asks.
"Capcom likes to try and suggest that its franchises could coexist, while also throwing in some nods. For example, we see human versions of the Darkstalkers for one stage." NeoMark says. "Which did you have in mind?"
"Resident Evil?" Deadpool asks.
"Too dark." NeoMark said.
"MegaMan?"
"The future, for all incarnations of the blue bomber."
"Ghosts n' Goblins?"
"Distant past."
"Viewtiful Joe?"
"Probably?"
"Strider?"
"Sure."
"Last one… Bionic Commando?" Deadpool asks.
"That is set in an alternate timeline where the Nazis survived World War II and were still a major power. Granted, if I had to guess, I'd say maybe a version of the main character, Nathan Spencer, might've existed at some point post World War II but not now." NeoMark said.
"Yeah… good call going with that." Deadpool said. "Can you imagine the alternate timeline this took place in? Especially if you used the actual canon of Bionic Commando in this?"
"Believe me…" NeoMark assured. "If Danny and Sakura were a thing, there is no way I would risk Sakura turning into an arm…"
There was an awkward silence. Those who knew kept their mouths shut. Those that didn't spoke up.
"… what are you talking about?" FP11 asks, her face contorted with confusion.
"Okay… that sounds insane even to me. Why would someone turn into an arm?" 61394 asks.
"I'd love to know as well." Luiz4200 said.
"You mean THAT 3D game?" BCFW pinched his nose bridge.
"It's not as weird as a hand becoming the final villain of your series…" PFN said.
"Oh? Uhhhhhhhhhhh…" NeoMark darted his eyes all over the room. "I… I'm not giving context. Because a) it's funnier… and b) … I just don't want to."
"Why?" FP11 asked. "Why would she turn into an arm? And why are you avoiding eye contact with us?"
"Next character! Next character!" NeoMark went.
"Seriously?!" FP11 asked, arms crossed. "What's this about turning into an ar-"
Number 19)
"YOU WIN!" The announcer said.
Twirling in place was a girl with short, brown hair. She wore a white and blue sports jacket with a yellow cat paw printed on the left, with sleeves that were too long for her arms that her hands were covered, with matching white and blue shorts with a circular logo 'NIKU' on the left side, and matching white and blue sneakers.
"Yes! Better not tell!" She said to her fallen opponent.
"And our final video game character spot goes to… Uriko from the Bloody Roar series." NeoMark said.
"Is it another fighting game?" Yakko asks.
"Indeed, it's a 3D fighter." NeoMark said.
"You should tell them what the original name in English was." Deadpool said with a snicker.
"That's not important." NeoMark said.
"Tell them." Deadpool went.
"Yeah, tell us. I'm sure it might be interesting." FP11 says.
"Ugh… fine. The original name for when it came stateside is Beastorizer." NeoMark said.
"... Beastorizer? Really?" FP11 asked with a very confused look on her face.
"With a name like that, it sounds like an energy drink." 61394 laughing at the name.
"Anyway… let's keep this short. Bloody Roar is a series where the fighters can turn into anthropomorphic creatures during the fight. They're called Zoanthropes. As for Uriko, she was the final boss of the first game, a child who was experimented on by the big bad and transformed into… a tall, grown up lady… because I don't know why. In all subsequent games, she's no longer with the villains and can turn into a werecat. She's also a teenager in all later installments. In fact, there's another character I was asked to use from this series, her adoptive sister Alice, who turns into a rabbit. But Uriko being a proper teen in later games worked best as Alice was 17 in the first. Also… I like her design in the last game… despite how unpopular that one is, but she's an adult there. Her original look… I'm not really fond of it." NeoMark said.
"Another werecat? So, she'd probably be a foil to Toralei if you used her." FP11 considered.
"A second Werecat? Have we reached the limits of franchises to use? Nah!" BCFW gave a slight guffaw. "Had to say that. So, what's Uriko like?"
"After stepping away from being the creepy child soldier final boss of the first game, her personality is the polar opposite. She's a very excitable girl and a bit clumsy, though there are fears her ability to become her final boss form again is a possibility. Also, according to Tylon, the villain organization of the game, she has the potential to be the most powerful Zoanthrope in existence." NeoMark said.
"So, a typical shonen anime protagonist?" 61394 summed up.
"Don't ask me." Luiz4200 said.
"Nope." NeoMark said.
"She sounds... unique. So, what's up?" FP11 said. "So why not use her?"
"She seems to be teetering between good and potentially turning evil. Like Danny, huh?" BCFW asked.
"You know how I said it's impossible to get Rival Schools on modern systems because of legal issues Capcom has? Well... Bloody Roar's biggest issue with returning... is because the property is owned... by Konami." NeoMark said.
"GGGGAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Deadpool went.
"NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The Warner Siblings held onto each other in absolute despair.
"Not the people who made our game for the SNES!" Yakko went.
"What's become of them?!" Wakko went.
"I'm embarrassed to know they published our game!" Dot went before noticing many of the other authors weren't upset. "Why aren't you all upset like we are?"
"Mostly because we don't know why you guys are acting like this..." FP11 said.
"What's wrong with Konami?" Most of them asked in unison.
"I'm not gonna go over the list of reasons why people hated Konami for years, let's just say they've still got a long way to go if they want to redeem themselves. Anyway, while you can get the first two games on the PS3 thanks to the PS One Classics, though the second I've been told not to buy, they don't seem interested in making a new Bloody Roar, at least not internally or before we get a new Castlevania, Silent Hill or Metal Gear. Bloody Roar 4, a game they kind of interfered with, was savaged and they won't even consider the idea of a collection. Granted, their Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid Collections have issues… but at least they exist. Plus, you may have noticed the games I did feature characters from had something going on at the time of when this story could have taken place, 2018. Street Fighter V, KOF XIV and Tekken 7 were already out and had DLC and stuff. Bloody Roar hasn't had anything going for it for a decade and a half by then, and it still hasn't. Sure, I don't mind using lesser known characters, which is why Uriko is in here, but I figure if I'm gonna use video game characters, I might as well use whatever was hot at the time."
"So, it's a matter of Bloody Roar being an unfortunately dead franchise and those three being what was popular at the time?" Deadpool asks.
"Well… considering I never got to play it, not even in arcades… yeah. It's a shame too, I really felt like Uriko could have been a cool addition." NeoMark said.
"I don't know much about Uriko or that game franchise in general." FP11 said.
"I never heard of this one but it sounds like this was dead for a while." 61394 said.
"Her cat form reminds me of someone who ate a Zoan fruit from One Piece." PFN said.
"Anyway… I wanted to keep this short because we're now in the last third. Let's get this taken care of." NeoMark said.

"That reminds me, Miss Hirasawa. Have you bought your guitar yet?" A blue-eyed Japanese girl with long, clean black hair asks someone sitting at the table with her.
"Just call me Yui…" The girl she spoke to, a brunette with short hair length and a yellow clip said cheerfully, surprising the girl speaking to her. "After all, I already call you by your first name. Right, Mio?" She asks with a smile.
The dark-haired girl, Mio, looked away, seemingly embarrassed and fearful at the idea of getting too close to someone new before speaking up.
"Y-Yui?" She went bashfully.
Yui blushed at this.
'That's so cute!' She thought.
"Yui Hirasawa… and Mio Akiyama from K-On." NeoMark said.
"Ah yeah, time to move on from pixels and polygons and get to a popular anime from the 2010's!" Deadpool said.
"I recalled you wanted someone from this anime in the original, including this. I've never seen this before, so I don't know much about it." FP11 said.
"K-On, that's short for Keiongaku, which is Japanese for light music, is a manga and anime about students from an all girls' school in a music club where they start a band." NeoMark said.
"Huh…given you had them cameo in Danny and Makoto, I figured you'd use Mio here." BCFW said.
"Quick introductions. Yui Hirasawa is the airheaded main character, a girl who has the mentality and maturity of a toddler, who learns to be a guitarist so she can be part of the club. Mio Akiyama is the lead bassist and songwriter who happens to be the most mature, relatively speaking, but is easily scared or embarrassed." NeoMark said.
"Not helping is the incident where she tripped." Deadpool snickered.
"Tripped?" FP11 questioned. "Why would she be so embarrassed about tripping? Did she get hurt?" She asked, sounding concerned.
"Uh… just a heads up… this manga was originally written for grown men… but the anime toned down some elements so that it could be aired, even on Japanese Disney. It's like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which was a dark and edgy indie comic that became more well known as a more kid friendly action show. As for what happened when she tripped, I'm not… going to go any further than that…" NeoMark said.
"We get the picture, buddy." 61394 said
"Anyway… both girls are ultimately good people… Well, Mio has a habit of hitting their friend Ritsu… but Ritsu kind of has it coming for picking on her all the time." NeoMark said.
"I never approve of that kind of thing..." FP11 said while frowning."I'm guessing that the two of them are rivals or something?"
"Nope… Those two are childhood friends. If anything, they're the best of friends." NeoMark said.
"Wait… really?" FP11 asks. "Those two are best friends?"
"Yup. No malice, just more of a straight man and wise guy pairing." NeoMark said.
"Kinda like us?" Deadpool cheerfully went.
"... no… not at all." NeoMark said.
"No. That checks out." BCFW could not contain his smile as he glanced at the author and character.
"Yeah, that makes sense." PFN says.
"Huh… No comments." Luiz4200 says.
"So why aren't you using them?" 61394 asks.
"Okay… as much as I love these two… the very reasons I couldn't use them are the same reason I love them." NeoMark explained.
"Huh? Why's that?" 61394 asks.
"So… Yui is a very nice girl, she never shows any dislike or even attitude to anyone. She's also a total airhead and, as I said, she has not matured much past grade school." NeoMark explained.
"Gotcha… you already have Leni Loud, no need for another airhead." Deadpool said.
"More to it than that, but let's bring up Mio." NeoMark said. "If you've read Danny and Makoto, you may have noticed I featured the girls of K-On and had Mio developing a crush on Danny."
"I remember that." FP11 said in recollection. "So, what kept you from putting her in this version?"
"Remember when I said Ritsu likes to tease her? It's because Mio's a scaredy cat and easily embarrassed. It's very easy to terrify her. Such as the time Yui got a scrape from practicing guitar and Mio looked away, too scared to look at blood, and Ritsu pretends that she has blisters on her fingers that are bleeding just to mess with her. Another time is when Mio touched barnacles, which creeped her out, and Ritsu whispered that barnacles will start to grow behind her knees. And 9 times out of 10, it involves Mio hitting her in the head and giving her a cartoonish lump for it." NeoMark said.
"Well, that's a messed up way of teasing somebody. That gets annoying at times." PFN said.
"Well… I kinda see why Mio would get annoyed but I still don't like that kind of stuff. So, her being easily scared by stuff, I can see her passing out from dating a ghost." FP11 said.
"And before anyone familiar with K-On asks why am I not using the other girls? Well… Ritsu is the only one who ever seems interested in a relationship, but I kind of felt she works best when she's with Mio and Yui. Azusa is the youngest and most interested in taking practice seriously since the girls tended to goof off in season 2 a few times, but I wanted to focus on the founding 4. And Mugi… is probably a lesbian." NeoMark said.
"Probably? Are you sure?" 61394 asks.
"Long story short, Mugi once dropped a few hints that she's attracted to their teacher, Ms. Sawako Yamanaka, or Sawa-chan as they call her, and thinks that Mio hitting Ritsu is a form of physical intimacy. Which leads me to the other reason I didn't use Yui and Mio. They… MIGHT be lesbians. MIGHT… I say that because it's more subtle than Mugi. Yui is very affectionate with people, even trying to kiss Azusa on the cheek once, but it's important to note she has the mental maturity of a toddler and likely doesn't comprehend why kissing someone, even on the cheek, without consent is a bad thing. Mio once said men are animals, though it's important to note how shy and withdrawn she is with people, so it's more likely she's afraid to meet people in general. It's also important to note that the girls are never shown interacting with boys their age, the only males seen are Ritsu's little brother and grown men. But remember, their preference in gender isn't something that's ever called into question, so they could still date boys… but for that and their personalities, I decided to pass on them." NeoMark said.
"I see. Yui at least seems nice, I guess. As for Mio, hitting Ritsu notwithstanding, I guess she is kinda unique as a character." FP11 said.
BCFW clicked his tongue in agreement with thumbs up.
"Makes sense why they're not here." 61394 nodding
"Agreed." PFN said.
"Ok." Luiz4200 said.
"Okay… now that that's done… here's the OTHER anime character I mentioned in Danny and Makoto…" NeoMark said.
Number 21)
A group of 5 girls were singing at a karaoke booth as one of them, with reddish hair, approached a girl with light brown hair.
"Hey, Karin! Do you know this song?" She asks her, showing said song on a tablet.
"Mmm… yeah, I've heard it a couple times." Karin, the brunette, said.
"Great, let's sing it together!" The redhead said.
Karin stopped drinking from her bottle as she became flustered.
"Huh? Bu- why are you asking me?! I am not here to make friends with you people!" Karin responded.
"Oh, I understand…" The eldest of the group, a blonde with long pigtails, said with a smug tone in her voice. "You don't want to go after me… Nine…ty…two…points…"
She pointed to the karaoke score she received, 92. Karin became angered and competitive.
"Yuna… give me the microphone…" Karin tells Yuna, the redhead.
"Fu Inubozaki from Yuki Yuna is a Hero." NeoMark said.
"Which one?" Deadpool asks.
"The blonde, the one who spoke who wasn't named…" NeoMark responded.
"Just kidding… I already knew." Deadpool said.
"Wasn't this the other girl you had crush on Danny in Danny and Makoto?" FP11 asks.
"Wait. Why didn't you have her name called then?" BCFW asked before he scratched his chin. "Plus, does she seem...mahou shoujo-like?"
"NERD!" Deadpool yelled.
"I'll get to that." NeoMark said. "Anyway… because magical girls saw a kind of boom in the new 10's… mostly because of… we'll get to that, more series about them showed up. Yuki Yuna is a Hero is one of those series… and sadly not a lot of people seem to bring it up. Honestly, I only knew of it because it was on Netflix for a time. Not there anymore, it's on a different streaming service and… I'll get to that later." He said with a bitter tone.
"I'm well aware of that pain. The show you like leaving a streaming service due to contractual obligations." BCFW said with a hat's off gesture. "Good thing there's still Crunchyroll for anime lovers."
"It's not there anymore…" NeoMark grumbled.
"I never heard of this one." 61394 said.
"I don't know much about her. So, who is Fu?" PFN asks.
"Backstory time. After losing her parents at a young age thanks to entities known as Vertexes, Fu and her younger Itsuki live alone. Long story short, determined to get payback on the Vertexes, Fu would become aligned with the Taisha, a group who serve the Shinju, basically if the big man upstairs was a tree, and become one of the heroes who would fight the Vertexes as they cause trouble in the real world when they attack, like what caused her to lose her parents." NeoMark said.
"Big man upstairs? Do you mean the guy who owns the building we use or do you mean who people imagine sounds like Morgan Freeman?" FP11 asks.
"The latter." NeoMark responded as FP11 nodded. "As for her powers as a magical girl warrior, or Hero as they call them, Fu has superhuman strength, jumping and durability. She can also create cartoonishly large swords… which are the best melee weapons and I will not allow any opinion otherwise!"
"Zanbatous are the best anime weapons…" 61394 said. "They're a staple for a reason."
"A reason named Sanosuke Sagara." Luiz4200 said, having become familiar with the name "zanbatou" from the Rurouni Kenshin manga.
"I'm more of a swords turning into guns type of guy." PFN responded.
"Some may have noticed pictures of her wearing an eyepatch when googling her. It's not permanent. Not gonna spoil much but… I know some people think a character who loses a limb or body part or the use of one only to get it back, not a robotic replacement but the actual thing back, is a cop out… but I personally don't mind it. I'm all for real world research on regrowing or even cloning back lost limbs or body parts, especially for amputees or people who suffer from organ failure." NeoMark said.
"I see. I'm all for improving medical science as long as it's done in a safe and ethical way. Anyway, is there anything else we should know about these characters?" FP11 asked.
"I should also mention Fu and the girls have a sort of super form but… well, it led to her eye situation but that's all I'm saying for now. The incident does lead her to a kind of dark path but it also highlights some character development." NeoMark said.
"Seriously?" FP11 asked.
"Hmm… interesting." Luiz4200 commented.
"So… back to Fu. She's a very affectionate big sister, willing to defy anyone who hurts Itsuki, even when Itsuki… uh… spoilers. She's also a good cook, meaning she could double as both a partner in fighting and in the kitchen, and it's established she is popular with girls, but she doesn't swing that way and seems to only want a boy's interest. She can also transform into her hero form thanks to her cellphone, like some Power Rangers." NeoMark said.
"Hmm… that cellphone thing sounds cool. And I respect a good cook." FP11 said, mildly interested in what she's hearing.
"So, now let's ask the big question." NeoMark said.
"Why is there a ridiculous internet discourse where people think if you like pancakes, then you must hate waffles?" 61394 asks. "Especially Belgian waffles, the greatest of all waffles."
"Yeah...I'm omnivorous. So...this does not concern me. I eat anything tasty." BCFW noted in a dull tone.
"I prefer pancakes but I like waffles too...both with blueberries too..." FP11 said.
"Waffles are OK but I prefer pancakes as well." Luiz4200 went.
"Chicken and waffles for me!" PFN went.
"French Toast is the superior breakfast!" Deadpool said.
"We'll eat anything." The Warners said.
"I meant why I didn't put Fu in here." NeoMark grumbled.
"Oh…" Everyone said in unison as they sat back down in embarrassment for going off topic.
"Three things. One… I kind of didn't keep up with the series. I did mention it was a 12 episode anime and, at the time, thought it only had like manga continuations… but then I learned after I featured them in Danny and Makoto that it started a shared universe called Yuusha De Aru. I am more familiar with the initial 12 episodes because it was dubbed, only to underperform stateside, then get picked up years later by…" NeoMark groaned. "... Sentai Filmworks."
"Company that makes Super Sentai movies?" 61394 asks.
"No… they're a dubbing and licensing studio from Texas. I'm not gonna get into my issues with them… but I'll at least say that they make catching certain anime hard. Heck, when they picked up Yuki Yuna, they didn't bother dubbing it. To be clear, the cast of the dub are in California, but they didn't even bother dubbing the rest with their own actors." NeoMark said. "Second reason… I kind of ignored how… dark and kind of hard to work with this franchise is."
"Huh? How so?" FP11 asks.
"Again… not gonna spoil anything on who or what certain characters or events are… just that 300 years ago from the original series… made this hard to figure out how well it would mix with a story that already has mixed with other works. I kind of want them to flow as organically as possible. Sure, making Steven Universe a micronation is a stretch, but that was the only way I could put Lapis Lazuli in here. It's a shame because Fu is my favorite of the girls from that initial first season." NeoMark said.
"She does seem like a unique character. I can see why you wanted to put her in here." FP11 said.
"I'm going off your opinion since I never heard of her." 61394 said.
"I agree with Number boy here." PFN said.
"Wait…" 61394 spoke up. "I thought you said three reasons, right? Because, with the weird world building and lack of interest, I only counted two."
"Yeah, I noticed that too. Any other reason why you chose to not use Fu?" FP11 asks.
"Well… the third is an all for nothing kind of thing." NeoMark admits.
"All for nothing?" FP11 questioned.
"Well… many anime nerds will notice how… eerily similar she is to a specific character from a more prominent work in the new 10's… Umm… yeah, no spoilers but you might wanna wait as it's the main "almost ignored tone" character…" NeoMark said.

"Hello, it's very nice to meet you. I'm Makoto Kowata, and I'll be serving as a witch here in your beautiful town. I might cause trouble from time to time, but I do hope we can get along and be good friends." A polite Japanese girl with black hair and green eyes said while holding a broom in her hands.
"Makoto Kowata, the main character of Flying Witch." NeoMark revealed.
"Okay… a new face. I have never heard of this one." FP11 said.
"Her intro reminds me of Kiki's Delivery Service." BCFW said.
"Flying Witch? So… those monsters seen in Central and Southern America that people believe are actual witches?" Deadpool asks.
"No. Flying Witch is a slice of life anime about a 15 year old witch moving to the country to live with her cousins so that she can begin her training. Witches in this series are all about nature, so going to a more rural area is a big plus for her." NeoMark said.
"Huh… that sounds like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, only more nature then city." PFN says.
"She also has a black cat named Chito. She doesn't talk, but Makoto is able to understand her." NeoMark said.
"Huh… she sounds like Sabrina, black cat and all." FP11 pointed out.
"Yeah, but she's not Sabrina. For starters, Makoto is a girl with no sense of direction, getting lost in the house she's staying at during her first day of school. She also has no social skills, giving a new friend a mandrake as a gift and baking cookies that resemble fingers. I won't explain why because it's funnier if you see it… seriously, go and look up the mandrake scene on youtube, it's kind of hilarious." NeoMark said with a smile.
"I'm sensing you like this character, right?" FP11 said with a knowing smile.
"Does Marvel vs Capcom 2 stand as one of the greatest fighting games ever?" NeoMark asked, earning a blank stare from FP11, which was causing his smile to drop. "That means yes."
"Looks like you won't be done praising Capcom." BCFW smiled.
"Guess not." 61394 said as he was uninterested in mocking the video game company.
"Sakura was a good match for Danny..." Luiz4200 said as he remembered that date.
"I'm sure we are just gonna keep hearing more of it later on..." FP11 said.
"At least she's forgotten the arm thing we brought up..." Deadpool said.
"Huh? What was that?" FP11 questioned.
"Nothing!" Deadpool said, his tone making it clear he's hiding something.
"I get you won't use live-action, so why not use an animated Sabrina?" Dot questioned.
"Because FP11 used the version of Secret Life, which was not a popular sequel to the animated series, the 70's animated one might not have gelled with current folks, and no one remembers that one where Ashley Tisdale voiced her." NeoMark said.
"Ashley Tisdale voiced her?" Yakko asks as he seemed intrigued, like having a crush on Ashely Tisdale.
"Didn't know that either." 61394 said.
"Me neither." Luiz4200 said.
"I watched one or two episodes of it, but didn't really remember it that much…" PFN said.
"Yeah, kind of came and went like a quiet fart…" NeoMark said.
"Like this?" Deadpool asks as he feeds Wakko a large burrito.
"Payback!" Wakko said as he aimed his rear at NeoMark.
"Are we really gonna fill the chapter with a farting gag?" BCFW sighed.

"HA!" Deadpool went as NeoMark returned from the bathroom.
"And… we're out of deodorant." NeoMark said.
"I may have used them on Juggernaut…" Deadpool went with a snicker.
"Did Dash and Cree let him out again?" 61394 asked, confusing Deadpool. "Read Danny and Kitty or ask the Deadpool from that universe for a play by play." 61394 said seeing the obvious confusion on Deadpool's face
"Anway… sorry, it had to be done for Wakko to get payback." Deadpool said.
"Poking a hornet's nest there, Deadpool…" FP11 said.

"Was this gag just an excuse to get you riled up so you'd have an excuse to go watch… what was it… Flying Witch?" FP11 asked, arms crossed.
"Yup. All healed and ready to keep going." NeoMark said.
"I'm not sure if that was clever or crazy… probably both." FP11 said.
"Back to our girl here. Makoto may be a clueless girl, but she is without a doubt one of the sweetest characters I almost put in here. She's very close in an almost sisterly way to her younger cousin, Chinatsu. She has this sort of innocence to her that even when she messes up, it's impossible to fault her for it. It's also kind of funny to watch her get stuff happen to her, like when her sister tricked into eating a hexed snack that made her cry uncontrollably. Oh… and that background music. This has nothing to do with Makoto, I think I've justified why I should have used her enough but… Oh… that background music. So calming… I leave this on in the background to hear how wonderful cozy it is." NeoMark said with a happy sigh.
"Neo? Neo!" FP11 said before snapping her fingers. "Don't fall asleep."
"Sorry… Anyway… Now that that's done, let's discuss the big question: why did I not put Makoto Kowata in here?" NeoMark said.
"That's a good question. You describe her as this adorably nice girl and she does seem like an interesting character. So, I'm curious as to why not include her." FP11 said.
"Well… there is… a reason. Not a huge one… just one that made picking her hard. Can you guess what?" NeoMark asks as the room goes silent. "I'll give you a hint… this is the third Makoto I have named in this chapter. Yes, her name. It's because I used Makoto, the Sailor Guardian and not the Street Fighter, I had to not use Makoto, the witch, not the Street Fighter… well, the Street Fighter too…"
"Is not having them share names really that important, for your fic? I used two Gwens in the original "Many Dates" and Jen Masterson and Jenny Wakeman too." FP11 pointed out.
"Not to mention coincidences like girls who shared names with canon DP characters like Kitty and Spectra." Luiz4200 went.
"I know in real life, names are shared. I just… didn't want to do that for the dates, like how I didn't want live-action dates. Makes it easier to avoid the gag we're doing now with the name of Makoto when it comes to me picking Gwen, the redhead, not the Goth." NeoMark explained.
"Ah. Well, I'm happy to at least see the use of Makoto… the Sailor Guardian, not the Street Fighter… or the witch. Still, Makoto… the witch, not the Street Fighter… does sound like a fun character. She could've made for a great girl to feature." FP11 said.
"I don't know that witch so I'm not commenting on that." Luiz4200 said.
"Witch, Sailor Guardian, Street Fighter… I can't even follow which one we're talking about." 61394 said. "The one girl per name rule makes so much sense…"
"Makoto sounds like a really nice girl to pair Danny up with in the dating series, but it would've been confusing if we had three girls with the same name." PFN said.

"Guardians Unite!" A redhead with short hair said as her necklace spread energy that turned engulfed herself, and she was now wearing a teal, long sleeved top, a purple mini-skirt, striped tights, and ankle-high boots.
Next to her were more girls, a girl that appeared to be Latina that hand neck-length brown hair, a girl with short blue-black hair that had brown eyes and glasses, a tall slender girl with long golden-blonde hair and blue eyes, along with a girl with long dark purple hair in pigtails with brown eyes and of Chinese descent.
They all stood together before all five of them were turned into fairy-like heroines.
"Will… okay… all the girls from W.I.T.C.H." NeoMark said.
"I see this one gets a lot of interest." Deadpool said.
"And yet, like House of Mouse, it's still not on Disney Plus." 61394 grumbled, looking annoyed. "They just turned it into blue Hulu."
"So… for readers who don't know… W.I.T.C.H. was a comic Disney printed in Italy about 5 girls who can turn into fairy-like heroines whose mission is to protect the veil of the multiverse. It got turned into an animated series in 2004 that lasted for 2 seasons before ending due to the network being disinterested." NeoMark said.
"I think I remember it. They each had powers over elements like water, fire and wind, right?." FP11 said. "So… which girl did you almost put?"
"Well… that's why I didn't put any in here… because I couldn't decide which one." NeoMark said.
"To be honest, that might be for the best. Too many ingredients could spoil the broth." BCFW said.
"Yeah… give me too much freedom and I'll be at a loss." NeoMark said. "Anyway… we'll start with Will, short for… either Wilma or Wilhelmina… I kind of forgot and can't be bothered to google it right now. I think choosing the only one of the five you doesn't have any elemental powers could be interesting. Although… All but one of them have boyfriends. At least in the cartoon, I don't know about the comic. Irma is the only one single… but according to Greg Weisman, she's a lesbian. Granted, she has some ship teasing with a boy, so she's either bi or closeted. Taranee I think would be interesting since she's a pyrokinetic who isn't hot blooded… though I admit I'm not fond of her hairstyle when she transforms. Cornelia… well, I know she has a thing for the boy named Caleb so I could see a love triangle. Hay LIn is the youngest and I like the idea of a peppier girl. However… I spent too long trying to figure out who to put that… I ran out of time. Yeah… that's why."
"That's it?" FP11 asks with an incredulous look on her face.
"Gotta say… a little underwhelming of a reason. I figured your reason would be something more than indecision." 61394 said. "Will's full name is Wilhelmina and Cornelia was dating Caleb, by the way."
"Well… if I had watched a little more of the show, and found a place to watch it, maybe I'd have come up with a good choice… but yeah, sorry fans of this show." NeoMark said. "Also, this show is not on Disney+ at the time of this writing so… if you know of any places I can watch it… preferably without risk of malware, let me know."
"Have you tried using a VPN? Trust me, it'll help." BCFW smiled smugly.
"Let's just go back to the story, shall we? Anyway, I think I'd have preferred Cornelia or Hay Lin, as they're the ones I recall the most." FP11 said.
"I'd use Irma since I don't like messing with the other girls' relationships." Luiz4200 commented.
"I don't have anything to say about WITCH because I don't really remember it that much." PFN said.
"This one's in the same boat as Winx Club. I liked the show but it's been a long time since I saw it so I'd skip the guardians too." 61394 said. "Also, I totally didn't know Weisman was involved with this one."
"Next character…" NeoMark said.

"Look, Lok. There must be a reason you stopped me, right?" A brunette girl with green eyes and a British accent asks the young blonde boy speaking with her.
"Well… I conked out at today's review, and you're the smartest girl in class. Can I borrow your notes?" Lok asks.
"You seem nice and all, but I don't like cheaters. Goodbye…" She said dismissively.
"Hey? You like crosswords?" Lok asks, seeing what was in her hand.
"It's an exercise to keep my mind sharp. You should try it." She responded.
"If I can finish that crossword in under two minutes, will you help me study?" Lok asks.
"There's no way you have a better vocabulary than me! Alright, Lok. You're on!" She responds.
"Sophie Casterwill from Huntik. This one… I considered it because god do I love that opening theme song." NeoMark said.
"It slaps." Deadpool said with a nod.
"Okay… who is this one and what makes her so special?" Luiz4200 asks as he drinks some soda.
"Huntik is an Italian carto- wow, I used Winx, almost used W.I.T.C.H. and now this? I guess food isn't the only thing about Italy I consume…" NeoMark said before shrugging. "Anyway…"
"While I share that sentiment a bit, I never saw Huntik. So, I'm gonna need some explanation for the reasons here." BCFW said, adjusting his thin glasses.
"Yeah, Italy's got some good cartoons." 61394 said. "However, I know nothing about this one."
"Forgot it existed or never watched it?" Deadpool asked
"Never watched." 61394 answered.
"Me neither." Luiz4200 added.
"But… real talk. My biggest reasoning for not using Sophie as a date… is kind of a dumb reason… but it's one I stick to. She's the love interest of Lok, the main character of the show… and while it's not true in season 2, in season 1… he's voiced by Yuri Lowenthal."
"... that's it?" FP11 questioned.
"Yeah… I can't bring myself to do that to a character that had Yuri's voice come out of his mouth. Why do you think I give Ben Tennyson some time in many of my spin-offs and make him a supporting ally in this story too? Yuri's one of my favorite voice actors." NeoMark said.
"That explains why you devoted too much time with him and Ami, and insisted FP have him father Ami's kids in that Makoto-centered future." Deadpool said cheekily.
"Really? I just assumed it was because Ben was Cartoon Network's biggest original superhero." 61394 said. "Also, insert a joke about characters voiced by Sasuke and Sakura getting married here."
"Too lazy to put in a joke?" Wade asked
"I used up all the good ones already." 61394 replied.
"I don't think Mr. Lowenthal would be upset if you messed with the love life of a role he didn't do in season 2, what with these two who look like Zelda and Link from Breath of the Wild swapped hair colors." Deadpool stated.
"That's true. Is it really such a big deal?" FP11 asked.
"Maybe but I don't care." NeoMark said before snapping his fingers. "In fact… this just came to me as I write this. You know how Lok looks a little like Link? And that Ben Tennyson is associated with green like Link usually is? And Yuri's the go to voice for Marth from Fire Emblem, especially in Smash? I know they're making a movie, but if they make an animated series… like, one that's not laughable or stupid… make Yuri the voice of Link. I am dead serious… cast him as Link. They got Chris Pratt as Mario and Jack Black as Bowser… casting someone who voice acts for a living, and one of the most iconic voice actors from anime dubbing, boom, you got an ideal Link!" NeoMark then looked at everyone else. "Anyway… thoughts on Sophie?"
"...uh…" FP11 was surprised by that sudden off topic discussion before answering his question. "I'm not that familiar with her."
"Since I have never seen it, I have no opinions about it. Also Yuri is awesome." PFN said.
"Never saw Huntik, no opinion." 61394 said. "Next teen bachelorette please."

Approaching a group was a young girl with inhuman light-orange skin, bright blue eyes, and hair that was red and yellow, wearing a black leather jacket with metal inserts on the collar, an orange shirt with a red and yellow flame-like symbol on the center, an orange skirt with a two-tone purple streak on the side, and a pair of black boots with purple linings on the bottom.
"Hi, are you the girls I'm supposed to show around?" She asked with her blue green eyes wide open.
Before her were three girls, but the one in the middle was the one who spoke.
She has inhuman, light yellow skin, violet eyes, and long, curly, orange hair tied by a pointy hair band to a ponytail with yellow streaks, wearing a short, light purple vest over a purple dress with a gold belt, light purple stockings with triangle designs, fingerless, light purple gloves, and purple, high heel boots.
"We are." She said with a sinister tone in her voice.
"Canterlot High is a great school, you're really gonna love it." The red and yellow haired girl said as she gave them the tour.
The three girls follow her with evil looks in their eyes.
"Oh yes. We really sense there's something… magical about this place." The lead girl said.
"Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls." NeoMark said.
"Ooh! You're a Brony!" Deadpool went, sticking his finger out as if to mock him.
"Yes, yes I am." NeoMark said.
Deadpool then made a fist.
"Respect…" He went.
Both of them gave the other a brofist.
"Hard to think this is something you two would respect each other over… I would have assumed it would be something to do with just Capcom titles like Darkstalkers." FP11 said.
"I know this show but I'm not a fan." 61394 said. "Nothing against the talking ponies, I just was never interested in it."
"Wow...I almost forgot about that series. Well...main one anyway." BCFW said. "By the way, you might want to wash that hand, or have you forgotten about Deadpool's unicorn?"
"I am indeed a Brony. Friendship is Magic is cute and funny!" NeoMark went.
"So… why these two? And why choose villains again?" FP11 asks, confused.
"So, let's start with Sunset. She was the villain of the first Equestria Girls movie, Princess Celestia's former pupil before her lust for power made her get sent to the "human" world… I say that with quotes because I'm not sure if they're actual humans but more on that later. She's then hit by what may as well be a Redemption Ray, making her see the error of her ways, and is the main character for the rest of the Equestria Girls' side story. Post first movie, Sunset is now a girl who is open and eager to make friends, wanting to make up for her actions before one day returning to Equestria to make up with Celestia and be forgiven. And the fact she was a former villain who wanted to use power to conquer her home world could make for an interesting date." NeoMark said.
"Yeah, I'm a fan as well. If I remember correctly, a lot of fans pair Danny with Twilight while I choose the other Mane five as Danny's date." PFN said.
"And what about the other one? The dazzle one?" Luiz4200 asks.
"Ah, Adagio Dazzle. She and the other members of the Dazzlings were Sirens banished to this world from Equestria. Remember how Vanessa was the closest to a villainess I could put here? Well, Adagio is far more evil. She's pretty much a power hungry and controlling sociopath who wants to use magic to make herself and the other Sirens more powerful so they could feed off negativity and take over the world." NeoMark.
"And you were gonna have Danny date her?!" FP11 questioned, not understanding this.
"No offense, FP. I know you prefer redeemed villains or have them go through redemption… but I can't lie that I kind of dug the idea of him being with a villain who either faked redemption or tried to redeem themselves but ultimately didn't. Even if kids are involved. The best approximation is Goliath and Demona in Gargoyles, former lovers turned bitter enemies and with a daughter…" NeoMark said.
"Never thought I'd hear Goliath mentioned in the same sentence as My Little Pony." 61394 said.
"Interesting comparison." BCFW said.
"Hmm… that sounds unusual." Luiz4200 said.
Well, because she's power-hungry. I think she would try to steal Danny's powers." PFN went.
"Wait. Aren't they… older than teenagers?" FP11 asks.
"Kind of? See… I think the idea is that time flows differently. The sirens were gone for ages, but for them it was likely… months? Besides, their bodies are teenaged as humans and age as teenagers in that world, so it kind of works." NeoMark said.
"Are you sure about that?" She asked.
"I sure am." NeoMark responded.
"So, why not use either of them?" Deadpool asks.
"The same reason I can't use any of the other girls from that series. I'm not sure if they're even in the human world… or at least the one that characters like Danny could call home, seeing as how colorful they are. I don't mean their personalities, though that is a thing, I mean the people of this world look like if that cartoon Doug was conceived and aired today." NeoMark said.
"It's why Doug and Big City Greens aren't in this multiverse. Their skin tones are every color of the rainbow." 61394 said.
"I could just do the micronation thing like I did to justify Lapis… but that was already a stretch and someone convinced me not to do it again." NeoMark said.
"Yeah, probably best not to." 61394 said with a nod.
BCFW said nothing, but nodded silently.
"It could come off as lazy and a bit too convenient." FP11 said.
"It's a shame because I really wanted to put a Hasbro character. I got two Mattel thanks to Monster High and Barbie… but not Hasbro, which I have more attachment to… even if I don't like many of the choices they've made with Power Rangers." NeoMark said.
"Which choices didn't you like?" Luiz4200 asked.
"You wanted to put Hasbro characters?" FP11 asks as NeoMark nods. "Why didn't you?"
"Considering you've taken a long time to explain and plan things, who would that leave you with?" BCF asks.
"Well… GI Joe has characters too old, all Battleship has is that movie that no one remembers… or wants to. Then there's Transformers. I SO wanted to put Transformers characters in here, but couldn't. Carly from G1 was a college student when we first met her. Tai from that RID anime is a hologram. Alexis from Armada, the only one of the Unicron Trilogy I could think to use, could work but I made it clear I didn't want to use dub name characters. Sari from Animated could work, namely in season 3, but she's too similar to another character I cut from the original, anyone who has seen it will tell you what it is as I don't want to spoil things cause I'm a good person, and that I wanted the Optimus Prime I feature be a more… let's say… traditional Optimus Prime, even though I like Animated Optimus. And finally, Miko from Prime, the last female character from any of the animated works I've seen, I felt she probably wouldn't have signed on for a dating service…" NeoMark said before looking disappointed.
"I know Sari. The rest? Not so much" 61394 said.
"You sound like you REALLY wanted a Transformers character in here. I'm kind of a fan of Cybertron from the Unicron Trilogy." PFN said.
"I do… but I'm sticking to my rules. If I didn't, who would I add? Someone from the Michael Bay movies?" NeoMark went.
Everyone made gagging expressions.
"No, no, absolutely no!" 61394 said with furious disgust. "We don't talk about Michael Bay in this office"
"Agreed. Let's move along." BCFW said in agreement.
"Anyway… thoughts on these two?" NeoMark asks.
"First, thanks for reminding me of those movies…" FP11 snarked in displeasure before continuing. "As for these girls.. Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle, explain again why you chose not to use them?"
"Abridged version: Not sure if they exist on the same Earth because of how colorful they are and I already used the micronation idea with Lapis Lazuli." NeoMark said.
"I see… well…it's your story, so you decide who gets to appear in it..." FP11 said.
"No comments." Luiz4200 said.
"Agreed." PFN said.
"Technically, Jason Voorhees exists in the Michael Bay Transformers movies." BCFW commented with a sly grin.
"Danny's had a pretty good romance with Valerie, one of his enemies." 61394 said. "Though. I've got no idea how it'd go with a pony person."
"Okay… 5 more to go." NeoMark said.

"I'm so Cherry's soon-to-be BFF!" A pink haired girl with braces went as the large amount of snarks in her hands were taken by people in the car she reached. "Hey!" She gets angry. "I don't even get to meet Cherry?!" The window closed on her. "After getting her all those stupid snacks?! I even paid for them myself with Mina's cash!"
"And cue… Nick Mallory…" Her brother went in a soda costume.
A young man on a moped drove up to the pink-haired girl.
"Eeee!" She went in a lovestruck way before he whistled for the car to open or him, red carpet an all. He enters, leaving her outside. "Mrrrhhh!" She went.
"Looks like Nick's found a new leading lady." Her brother went as he got out of the soda costume "And it's not… YOU!"
As he walked away, his sister's eyes seemed to catch fire as she flew into the air, her hair waving up as her diary and pen levitated around her, writing down in a furious manner.
"Trina Riffin from Grojband." NeoMark said before clearing his throat. "Gonna be quick here… She's like Candace from Phineas & Ferb but meaner. Her little brother and his band, Grojband, steal her diary and use her writings for the lyrics… not gonna bother explaining whether or not they have any right to considering how she acts, and I almost used her."
"I remember that. Barely." Luiz4200 said.
"Also, she used to be nice, then became bad because of a curse or something… at the time I'm typing this, it's past midnight and I want to sleep now so I'm not gonna check on it." NeoMark said.
"So why didn't you?" FP11 said.
"Because someone gave me the idea to use Star Butterfly instead. SEE?! I do read suggestions, people!" NeoMark said.
"When they comply with the rules…' Deadpool adds.
"Plus, I was gonna make her a bad date. Basically, Katie but without the unhealthy attraction. Her mood swings seem to cause weather effects… or that's just a metaphor for her emotions… Also, pretty sure she's a misanthrope to impress a boy she's in love with. I have no idea why, to be honest. Pretty sure he'd leave town forever if she knew she'd go as far as to almost kill her brother and his friends to get his attention." NeoMark said.
"... suddenly, Adagio sounds more tolerable." FP11 said.
"Yeah, even canon Katie didn't purposely try to unalive her brother." 61394 said, angry at what he heard.
"Right. Anyway… I'm guessing none of you heard of this show, right?" NeoMark asks.
"I remember it." BCFW raised his hand. "Also, it was explained she was cursed by an instrument of a god of rock."
"So… any opinions?" NeoMark asks.
"Other than I guess she could be a bad date and possibly could get a restraining order, not much." FP11 said, making it clear that she didn't approve of the character.
"Though Grojband may change style, they still rock!" BCFW said with rock hands crossed.
"I was watching the show before you introduced her and I love the show. She would've been a really bad date for Danny. Trina would be like if you combine Vicky hate and Katie's temper and put it in a blender then multiply it by 10. She does have some reasons why she acts the way she acts because of her brother." PFN said.
"Not from me." Luiz4200 said.
"I don't watch this show and I'd only bring it up to say this chick got a visit from Wade." 61394 said. "Oh what the hey…" He was then grabbing Wade's continuity stone, snapping his fingers, tossing it back to Deadpool "There she's cell mates with Vicky in all my stories."
"Got it. Next." NeoMark said.
"Let this one not be a criminal please?" 61394 asked.
"Oh, this one is not. So… before I move on, I'd like to address something. As weird as Trina can be with her emotions… she wasn't almost the weird pick. If you recall, I said that when you have a collection of characters, you need that one weird pick. Someone who gets people talking. You can't just have the faces… you need the freaks." NeoMark said before nodding. "I understand some didn't think Yuki Kusakabe was that weird, maybe not but no one ever asked about her or her friends. This next character? Was EVEN WEIRDER…"
"Wicked cool transition!" PFN sang. The authors looked at him funny. "What? It's what they did in the show when we're transitioning to the next thing…" PFN explained.

As a giant monster rampaged, swinging was a girl in purple with a mask, her pink hair becoming tendrils that did the swinging for her.
"Elastika! Take him down!" Her teammate, a ninja-looking figure, called out to her.
"Let's put a lid on that stink! You're worse than my brother!" She shouted.
"I heard that!" Her younger brother weakly called out as Elastika faced off against the monster.
"Elastika from Zevo-3." NeoMark said.
"Hold on…" FP11 went, recognizing this girl. "Isn't she… one of those Skechers mascots? What's she doing here?"
"FP, remember like 8 seconds before you asked that, where I said there's a character who would have been weirder than Yuki, then I showed a clip of Elastika, then I said her name and I wasn't all… Whoa, this character is new. I don't know who this is. What a perplexing mystery this i-"
"Okay, okay. She's the other character you almost put in here. I get it. You don't have to bust my chops." FP11 said with an eyebrow raised.
"This is what happens when you take too long on a story you meant to finish in like 5 months." Deadpool pointed at NeoMark, who had bags under his eyes.
"Why have we only now noticed those?" Luiz4200 asked. "Seems like you're stalling."
"Do you even sleep?" PFN asked, noticing NeoMark was starting to wobble.
"Oh, I don't know… do the bags under my eyes hint at at least 8 hours?" NeoMark slightly snapped.
"I'm thinking this man needs a week off and somebody please sing him a lullaby." Luiz4200 said, wanting the next date to be posted.
"Uh… so… why a Skechers Mascot?" FP11 asks.
"Anyway… I'm technically not using the mascot version, but from a cartoon I'm sure not many people know about, Zevo-3." NeoMark said before yawning loudly. "Anyway…"
"I remember the commercials, but have no recollection about the series." BCFW said, adjusting his glasses. "Also, remember to sleep. Trust me, insomnia is not fun."
"Maybe a shower too?" 61394 said. "I mean, take care of yourself before going to work. Right, Wade?" He got no answer. "Wade?"
Deadpool was absent, making everyone question what he was doing before they saw a note on the wall.
"SORRY! DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE IS IN THEATERS NOW! GOTTA GO! THE JACK MAN AND I ARE PARTYING HARD! IMMA GO BUILD A SNOWMAN! I'M SURE ANYONE WHO SAW MY TRAILER UNDERSTANDS WHAT THAT'S CODE FOR. BE BACK IN TIME FOR THE LAST ONE! PEACE!"
"...well, at least it's quieter here." PFN stated.
"Hopefully quiet enough for somebody to sleep." Luiz4200 said.
"Anyway… Zevo-3 is a cartoon that basically takes aspects of Generator Rex and adapts it to… well, mascots of a brand of shoes. Ironically, they never advertise the shoes themselves in the show, but being mascots is why I think the show was abruptly canceled. Anyway… Elastika, whose real name is Ellie Martin, is the older sister of Matt, aka Kewl Breeze, and a friend and potential love interest of Jason James, aka Z-Strap. After mutation, she transforms into what is essentially Medusa from the Inhumans, her hair stretches and is used as tendrils. Also, she somehow has her hair spin like a helicopter, which is scientifically impossible… but I play Sonic games and there's a character who does that with two tails… Anyway, Ellie is a busybody A student who tries to get involved with school activities and doesn't seem to have as much time for fun. So much so that being a superhero cuts in on the little time she has with friends." NeoMark said.
"Must be a headache flying around with her pigtails." 61394 jokes.
"I know people are gonna question me on this, saying "Even if the show isn't advertising shoes, it only lasted one season" or something. First off, I already brought this up with Yuki, if the character has enough appearances in media owned by their parent company, it counts. Yes, that includes commercials… even if they're not the same character and it's kind of weak compared to a manga. Second, I wanted to look for a weird pick, someone completely unexpected." NeoMark said.
"Well… a Skechers mascot would be unexpected…" BCF said with a nonchalant shrug. "So… mascot characters are okay? Who's next? A teen Erin Esurance? Is Count Chockula gonna show up with a teen daughter?"
"Does that mean Captain Crunch is gonna show up and Crunchatize Danny into an adventure?" PFN asks.
"I hope so. I like that cereal." 61394 said as he held up a bowl. "Crunchatize me, Captain."
"And as for why I didn't feature her… well…" NeoMark rubbed the side of his head. "First off, I did think maybe she might have been too weird but I brushed that aside. But when it came between that and Interviews with Monster Girls… I just liked Yuki as a character more. A shame too because I feel like Elastika could have also worked for the penultimate chapter… but then again, I almost considered doing a 31st date as per a suggestion, and I'm the guy who wished he put either a Chinese Hopping Vampire, a cutesy witch from a slice of life manga, and who our last character will be in here and was willing to bend the rules slightly to do it… But… I decided to stick with my plan. Anyway, thoughts on this overachiever with pink hair that grows, fights and flies?"
"Well, I do kinda remember the cartoon version of Elastika, now that I think about it. Though I only saw a little of it..." FP11 said.
"This is the franchise's weirdest pairing and it didn't even make the cut." 61394 said.
"While some research is needed, perhaps a wildcard like Elastika might work." BCFW commented neutrally. "Still, and no pun intended, it's a bit of a stretch."
"I don't know her well enough to comment." Luiz4200 said.
"Well, she seems like an interesting character. I don't know much about her besides your description. She's cool." PFN said.
"So, I'm guessing a Skechers Mascot was weird, huh?" NeoMark said.
"Yup." All said in unison.
"So… here's another weird pick…" NeoMark said.

"Okay… but even if you're right…where am I gonna find a free pet horse?" A blonde girl with long hair, a long-sleeve shirt of two shades of red, jeans and basic brown shoes asks as she is on her bed, looking upset.
"There are tons in Fairyland! They're all just prancing around… waiting to be adopted! Her aunt, a short witch with violet colored skin, gives her advice just to mess with her brother-in-law.
"Yeah! I deserve to get what I want!" The blonde said as she stood up, gesturing to a poster of a boyband she likes. "I can't get a boyfriend…" She gestures to a poster of a horse. "I should at least get a horse! Hmph!"
She stormed out, ready to get her pet horse.
Her aunt gave a thumbs up before, once she leaves, she laughs evilly.
"By the way, Aunt Ferocia…" The girl came back. "I know you're only helping me to make my dad mad… but that's for the tip, I owe ya one…" She said with a wink, leaving her aunt rather glum to have her moment of spiting her brother-in-law ruined by gratitude.
"Cindy from A Kind of Magic." NeoMark said.
"That Queen song?" FP11 asks.
"No, but it's named after it." NeoMark said. "It's a 2015 cartoon from France about a fairy and ogre who come to the real world because, in their world, fairies and ogres cannot marry, so they come here as opposed to deal with the drawbacks of an illegal marriage. Cindy is their eldest daughter at 14."
"Cindy? That's kind of a normal name for the child of a fairy and an ogre, don't you think? Would've expected something less generic." 61394 said.
"Her name is based on Cinderella. In fact, she was almost Cinderella before they changed that." NeoMark said.
"Ah, so I'm assuming her life is quite exciting? A fairy mom, being part ogre and going on all sorts of adventures that involve magic and stuff like that?" FP11 asks.
"Actually, and this is why I passed on her, she's kind of boring." NeoMark said.
"... come again?" FP11 questioned.
"You just said that her dad's an ogre and her mom's a fairy, and follow up with her being boring? By default, someone with a background like that should at least sound somewhat intriguing or at least mildly interesting." PFN said with an eyebrow raised.
"So…no magical adventures?" BCFW tilted his head.
"You calling her boring? Why? It sounds like an interesting concept." 61394 said.
"Yeah, Neo. I want to know why you said she is boring as well." PFN said.
"I do recall that cartoon…" Luiz4200 said with some interest.
"You'd think that it'd be more interesting but Cindy's personality is… generic bratty teenage girl. She's rude to her little brother and does the typical teenager stuff, avoiding her family's whole magic deal. In fact, she actively avoids magic unless it can get her something she wants, like the time she tried to her a pony, only to meet a centaur and fall for him. Basically, take Violet Parr, take away the powers or the fact that she's still a good person who likes to help others, and you get… kind of generic. It's a shame as I did want to put more properties made outside of America. Why else do you think I used video games made in Japan? Alas, Cindy just felt… less interesting the more I looked at her. To be honest, I found the rest of her family more enjoyable… but she's the one Danny's dating. It'd be like if I put Lilith from Darkstalkers in here just as an excuse to put Morrigan Aensland into the story, not because I like Lilith and think she works. I do, it's just that's an example and Cindy herself just didn't endear herself to me that much." NeoMark said.
"I see. Well, I have never seen that show before but if what you're saying is true, then I can get why you didn't want to use her in the story..." FP11 said
"Wasted concept on a boring, generic character." 61394 said.
BCFW shrugged, smiling as he leaned back on his chair.
"OK, it's not the weirdest hybrid creature I have ever heard of." PFN said.
"Two more to go." NeoMark said.
"Wait… where are the Warners?" FP11 noticed their absence.
They heard cartoonish sounds of breaking and cries of horror outside.
"Ah… must be on a break…" 61394 said as he took a quarter to the vending machine to grab a new cola.
"Anyway… next girl." NeoMark said.
Number 29)
As a dentist did the procedure, lightning hit the building, causing a blackout.
Inside, the braces of the girl he was applying them to started to glow.
"Why is my mouth so hot?" She asks.
"Just a power outage…" The dentist assured her. "Ready to see your beautiful brackets?" He asks as he raises a mirror.
"Do I have to?" She asks, sounding upset and disappointed with what she's about to see.
The blonde girl with a clip in her hair saw her reflection and, to her displeasure, her new braces.
"Just wait till you get the headgear." The dentist said cheerfully, not seeing how horrified she was.
"Sharon Spitz from BraceFace. Probably notable as I mentioned I almost used her but she was replaced by Barbie's little sister." NeoMark said.
"Yeah, still a shocker that Barbie has a little sister and that she went on a date with Danny." 61394 said.
"It's a shocker that the series was used." BCFW leaned back in his chair with a sigh.
"Dash would have mocked Danny for having to settle for a girl with braces." Luiz4200 said.
"Yeah, I think he will do that." PFN said.
"I know this one. Sharon had these braces that had strange powers..." FP11 said.
"Yeah, and this is a cartoon where Alicia Silverstone was not only one of the show runners, but voiced Sharon for the first two seasons." NeoMark said.
"Yeah. Blonde Magneto." 61394 snarked.
"That's why she was a vegetarian, since Silverstone herself was one. Granted, when she stopped being involved and stopped being the voice, that aspect slowly faded." NeoMark said. "Now, about the show."
"I got this." FP11 said before clearing her throat. "BraceFace is a cartoon about a young girl named Sharon Spitz, who got braces that had strange magnetic or electrical powers, and she had to deal with them as she tried to handle her family, friends and school too.. That work?"
"Yes, thank you." NeoMark said.
"So, what made you pass on this one?" 61394 asks. "Is it because she's a vegetarian like Sam? Albeit likely not changing a whole school menu because the teachers wanted an all meat lunch?"
"I remember this show." BCFW held a finger to his chin stubble with a hum. "Seems like a good idea for a normal girl."
"Might break off that whole idea you're into redheads and using Danny as some kind of way to show your taste in ladies." 61394 joked.
"If Sharon appeared, would it be from before or after she and her former friend made up?" Luiz4200 asked.
"I think before because there will be more chapters you can add to it." PFN said.
"I'm interested in learning why you passed on her too. I only watched a few episodes but I have nothing against Sharon as a character." FP11 said.
"Same reason as Cindy. I honestly found her… not that interesting. Her braces, with the whole electrically charged and stuff happening, did give something of an interesting idea. Although, that happens out of her control. It could lead to some funny parts… but compared to Skipper, who I ultimately replaced her with, I felt Sharon wasn't as interesting an idea to use." NeoMark said. "It's why I asked FP11 for a character she would want and, honestly, Skipper seemed like a more fun character, if partially because adding someone from the Barbie franchise might have been the strangest curveball I could throw that wasn't a Skechers mascot."
"Still a surprise to see Barbie has a little sister and that she's here. On a date with Danny." 61394 scratched the side of his head.
"So, thoughts on her and if she works? Feel free not to answer if you got nothing." NeoMark said.
"Well, outside of her braces, she is pretty much an ordinary kid who deals with her own set of problems. I guess I could see why you didn't exactly fall for her personality. She isn't a bad person but I guess she doesn't exactly stand out too much compared to the other girls you chose for this." FP11 said.
"I don't remember this show, so I wouldn't have picked her." 61394 said.
"I agree with Number Boy over here because I have never seen it." PFN said.
"I'm just curious about certain aspects being used from the show, involving how her braces act up, or how there's a certain clip on youtube of the show, where there's...growth." BCFW hissed through his teeth at the last word.
"Okay… and so… with that done…" NeoMark said. "We come to… the fina-"
"Say?" 61394 suddenly asks. "If it weren't for your rules or limit of character, who among these girls would you have put here?"
"UUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH…" NeoMark groaned loudly as he bent backwards. "You had to say that? You REALLY had to say that? I just wanna finish this, now people are gonna ask me if I don't answer…"
All eyes were on 61394 for saying that. None of it was pleasant.
"Dude. Keep these questions for PM's. We gotta keep progress in mind." BCFW said with a slowly shaking head.
"True." Luiz4200 shook his head at this.
"Why? Because you can't stress him out like that." PFN said.
"Seriously, can't you read the room?" FP11 went with an equal amount of disapproval.
"Uh… oops? Sorry…" 61394 went apologetically.
"...fine…" NeoMark suddenly shot up. "Let's do a quick top 10, shall we? Lists are great, right?"
"Uh… Neo...are you sure that you're okay?" FP11 asked, clearly questioning his sanity at this point.
"TOO LATE!" NeoMark went with a crazed look in his eyes and a smile that seemed unnatural.
"Here we go…" BCFW pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Going in order, my 10th spot would be a character from another world. Either Yang Xiao Long or Mina Ashido… and with what's going on with those two works lately, that would have been ideal timing. Yang is a fun girl while Mina would be a lively one. 9th spot would be Izzy from Total Drama, if only to have her be the Katie of this story. I might still do something like that at some point."
"Not to be rude, but any chance—" BCF went.
"DON'T INTERRUPT ME!" NeoMark went, causing everyone to step back in a frightened hop.
"I have never felt so terrified by another obsessive fanfiction author in my life until now…" BCF whispered to everyone.
"8th would be Sailor Venus, because Minako Aino would make an interesting foil to Makoto and we could make her work for serious and funny bits. 7th is Raven of Teen Titans, because that was a popular ship for years and, not gonna lie, Danny dating a girl whose dad is pretty much Ol' Scratch has some interesting angles to work with. Speaking of demons, 6th is another tie between Hsien-ko and Lilith… again, big Darkstalkers fan… JUST MAKE A FOURTH GAME ALREADY!" NeoMark went before taking a deep breath. "5th is Akira Kazama, because Rival Schools is another IP that should make a return, even if it's just a remake or the characters being DLC in Street Fighter, and Akira's biker aesthetic and the whole thing about what her real personality is is an interesting idea. 4th goes to Makoto Kowata, because she's hecking cute and lovable. 3rd is Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle in the last tie, because dating either a former villain or current villain, plus Hasbro characters, would be interesting. 2nd is Elastika, because she was someone I wish I could put because she's so far left field that it'd make people go nuts!"
NeoMark had that big smile on his face before landing on his back, passing out.
All of the other authors stare in growing concern before 61394 looked to the readers.
"Look what you people did to him… you gave him too many ideas for characters. He looks like he's gonna blow." He said.
"You know he only did that because you asked him, right?" FP11 questioned as she waved her hand over NeoMark's face. "Neo? Neo?! Wake up! Can you hear me!?"
"He's the one who asked for suggestions." 61394 shrugged.
"Ooh…" The Warners suddenly appeared behind everyone.
"Oh, they're back…" BCFW waved at the brothers and sister with a smile.
"Me too!" Deadpool appeared before everyone before seeing Neo on the floor. "Wow… FP finally killed him…" He said, sounding unsurprised before he then looked at the other male authors. "You're all next…"
All of them scowled at him before Neo sat up.
"That was the first bit of sleep I had in so long… I was running on fumes. Also… anyone got food?!" He asks.
Reluctantly, 61394 handed him a large meatball sub that he devoured like a frog with a bug in seconds.
"Wow… he eats faster than me." 61394 said, looking mildly impressed. "Careful, give your stomach time to digest."
"So… I'm guessing number 1 is the girl we're about to reach? Also… care for some tea with that sandwich?" BCF offered.
"I got some chicken sandwiches." PFN offered.
NeoMark took it and swallowed them in seconds.
"Thanks…" He said to the three. "And yes… so…" He got up and took a large breath. "Any more questions?" All of them raised their hands. "Any questions unrelated to my clearly deteriorating mindset over a story I should have finished before this year began?" He asks with an eye twitching, all of their hands lowered. "Good."
"So…" FP11 gestured him to continue.
"The FINAL character that I ALMOST put in here…" NeoMark said before taking a breath. "So… recall how there were characters I almost completely ignored the tone for? Well… this is the last one."
"What do you mean by… ignoring the tone?" FP11 asks with a hint of curiosity in her voice.
"I'm curious as well." Luiz4200 said.
"The suspense is killing me." PFN went.
"As long as you're not loonier than I am, I'm the poster boy for chaotic unpredictable character choices in this franchise." 61394 said.
"I recall you mentioning Fu earlier, regarding a character you almost put in here. If it's who I think it is…" BCF went.
"That's right." NeoMark said as he took a deep breath and gestured to the monitor. "Our final runner up spot goes to…"
Number 30)
A blonde girl in a Japanese school girl uniform swings her leg, creating a white dust cloud before tossing a jewel of some kind into the air, followed by a small dance before catching the jewel and holding it out.
"Please excuse me… I have to wrap this up first…" She said.
From there, her clothes changed from the feet up, becoming a yellow and cream colored outfit that featured a beret of some kind with a feather on it.
"Our final character: Mami Tomoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica." NeoMark said.
"Zee Oh Em Gee! Mami Tomoe?" Deadpool asks. "So this is the character you almost were willing to ignore the tone to add!"
"Who? And what is DP talking about?" FP11 asks.
"Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a 12 episode anime of the 2010's. It might look like a cute magical girl anime… but it's… not." NeoMark said.
''Oh ho ho… it is SO not!" Deadpool said with amusement in his eyes.
"Okay… and who is Mami?" FP11 asks.
"I know this. Mami is the eldest of the magical girls in their town. She's a year older than the rest and, after an accident where her parents died in a car crash, she makes a wish with…" Deadpool sees an image of Kyubey on the screen and hisses like a cat.
"Don't blame you for that one…" 61394 says, having googled the creature he was hissing at.
"Anyway… Mami here is the oldest of the "Holy Quintet". The loss of her parents has given her a sense of loneliness, but she also cares greatly for having friends and takes pride in saving people." Deadpool finished.
"Oh? She sounds like a decent person." FP11 says.
"So, no spoilers here, huh?" BCFW fiddled on his phone, putting it away immediately. "Guess I shouldn't look up anything."
"Yup… although I will say something kind of important. You'll notice that despite having only one season, this series spawned manga, video games, a sequel film, and anime based on a spin-off. This is a major franchise, probably a big one of the 2010's." NeoMark said.
"And it's got multiple timelines." Deadpool said.
"It does?" FP11 asks, curious about this series.
"A multiverse franchise that came out ahead of the trend." 61394 said. "Neat."
"Indeed. Long story short, a good chunk of those games and manga are AU. Some are apparently undone… others are unaffected by… what happens at the end of the first season." Deadpool said.
"Well, I didn't know that." PFN says.
"I don't know much about that franchise so I won't comment." Luiz4200 scratched his chin.
"So… I'm getting this anime is… dark, right?" FP11 asks.
"YUP!" Deadpool went.
"Now I know some people are probably curious on how Mami could work here since she… uh…" NeoMark's eyes darted away, scratching the side of his head with an awkward smile on his face. "Well… let's just say for those unfamiliar… she probably wouldn't have had time for a boyfriend after episode 3… But hey, if Danny picked her, then anything after would divert from canon anyway. Besides, we've already established that alternate timelines are a thing in her series. Heck, the one we meet in the series isn't even the original Mami Tomoe. Just say it's a version of her from one of these timelines where things ended up different for her and gave her time to meet Danny."
"So you're loopholing things. Gotcha." BCFW leaned nonchalantly against a wall.
"Aren't most of those AU timelines still pretty dark?" 61394 asks. "I'm asking because, shocker, I've never heard of this anime before…"
"Hmm… I'm getting a hint that this might not be the most appropriate for a TV-Y7 cartoon like Danny Phantom… Is there anything else we should know about?" FP11 asks.
"There's a manga that's played for laughs where the girls have grown up and got married… except for Mami, she's a 30 year old spinster. So, we could just use that version. Not as an adult, obviously…" NeoMark said.
"Obviously." FP11 said before she asked more questions. "So… if the show she's from is really dark, then how could you justify using her?"
"Out of all the characters I almost put in here… I ALMOST put her in here before rethinking. I even had the chapter named. Una bella ragazza del Giappone, and her username would have been Tomoe Finale, a play on her attack named Tiro Finale. Now, I know what some might think: But Neo, doesn't she break your rules by coming from a darker series and its thing about having multiple timelines makes it hard to figure out what you could or couldn't use?" NeoMark finished up. "You're not wrong. But… I was willing to make an exception here." NeoMark said.
"You were?" FP11 asks.
"Another hall pass like Yuki." 61394 added.
"This oughta be interesting… maybe. I dunno, really. Never seen the series." BCFW said.
"Oh? I didn't know that you didn't see the series." PFN said.
"No comments." Luiz4200 went.
"Uh… quick question." 61394 raised his hand. "Not to judge by art style but… is she really a minor? Because… well…" He pointed at her chest. "Not saying things but… she doesn't really look like one to me." He spoke up.
"Dude, manga can get weird. She would not be the first girl." BCFW said.
"Back to what I was about to say. Just as Sailor Moon was a popular anime of the 90's, this was popular in the 2010's, so I wanted to use this. I felt Mami could use someone who would… well, make her not go through what she went through in various timelines." NeoMark said.
"Seeing as you won't discuss any of the dark stuff on my behalf… thank you, by the way… I gotta know that if you REALLY wanted to put her in here, why didn't you?" FP11 asks.
"Yeah, you said you ALMOST used her for the penultimate chapter. Right?" PFN asks.
"Well… yeah. I would have made her an exception to a good chunk of my rules thanks to the whole "just for me" card." NeoMark said.
"You brought that up before. Why have that, Neo? It's fanfiction, so should it matter?" FP11 asks.
"It does. I wanted to use characters I knew people would like… but I always wanted to avoid this being solely characters I wanted and used characters I knew other people wanted. It's why I used Melissa Chase, Kimiko Tomohiko and Clawdeen Wolf. Mami Tomoe, being a prominent character from a prominent anime in the 2010's that was as influential as Gravity Falls was to Western Animation, was a character I thought would have made for a genuinely interesting pick. A few people suggested her and I was going to make it the penultimate chapter. It helps that I saw someone do an AMV of her and Danny, not sure where it is anymore, and that I thought she could use someone outside of the whole magical girl dark subversion that could be a rock for her." NeoMark said.
"Should probably address one more thing." Deadpool said.
"Right… Before anyone brings it up in the reviews, we may as well go over it now "Why aren't you using the other members of the Holy Quintet?" some are wondering. Well… Kyoko Sakura is probably a lesbian, and I don't see her as someone who would be willing to do a dating service. Sayaka Miki became a magical girl for a boy she likes and… let's just say it ended poorly for her, so much so that I'm not sure learning a boy she dates has his own secrets would do well for her psyche. Homura Akemi only has eyes for Madoka Kaname, so much so that in that Mami as a spinster story I mentioned has her marry Madoka's younger brother… who is like 10-12 years younger than her and please don't think too much about that. And Madoka… well… let's just say the final episode made me unsure about using even an alternate universe version of her." NeoMark explained.
"Well, a lot to unpack..." BCFW took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose. "So, that just leaves Mami."
"It does. But, like with Lapis Lazuli, I didn't mind because she's my favorite of the group. And while I REALLY wanted to use Mami Tomoe here… I already used up my one free "I'm putting them in here for me card" on Yuki Kusakabe. So… yeah, I couldn't justify my usage of her. So, Mami is out." NeoMark admits.
"It helps that Yuki is from a less dark anime, right?" Deadpool asks.
"It does." NeoMark said.
"Well… uh… sorry, Neo?" FP11 stated, not sure how else to put it.
"Yeah…" 61394 said awkwardly scratching the back of his head. "Moving on, please."
"Okay…" NeoMark groaned. "Opinions on her, please. Feel free to do a google image search for her looks."
"No opinion of her, sorry." FP11 said.
"None. Let's go." BCFW circled his hands.
"I got nothing." PFN said.
"So, if I had been in your shoes, Teodora from the Leyendas franchise would have been my just-for-me pick." 61394 said. "No offense to Yuki or Mami, but I don't write characters I don't know."
"So, who would be another person's "just for yourself" pick?" NeoMark asks. "FP, I know you did the original, but if you had to add a new character, who would it be?"
"Dunno. Maybe another superhero if possible..." FP11 said.
"Well if I would have chosen a particular blonde to replace that character, then I want Betty from Archie's Weird Mysteries. Also, no offense from the characters you chose…" PFN said.
"If the idea is to include a blonde girl, I'd suggest Sarah Whitney from Horseland or Polly Pocket from the specials portraying her as a rich girl." Luiz4200 said.
"Well, to complete the series, I would have used Clover. I'd also use Kylie from Extreme Ghostbusters and Toralei from Monster High. There's also one more, but I'm gonna keep that to myself, for reasons." BCFW counted off his fingers, racking his mind.
"So… that's it? Now for the last girl?" FP11 said.
"YES! FINALLY!" NeoMark shouted.
"Whoa there… I get it this has gone on for a while, but just two more dates than Danny can pick Kim ." 61394 reassuringly before looking at the audience. "Just a guess, not a spoiler."
"Actually, he's just happy to reach this part." Deadpool said.
"Sorry… so… any further questions?" Everyone raised their hands. "No? Okay, moving on." NeoMark said.
"Imma let that slide because he clearly needs a break…" FP11 said in growing concern for his sanity.
"Maybe he's just bitter none of us knows who Mami is? Either way... I'm glad I'm not doing one of these reboots." 61394 said in agreement.
"And so…" NeoMark cleared his throat. "Our final new girl is… Well, I've already said I'm not doing live-action characters. At this part was Cleo, the only live-action character from the original. So now, with me deciding not to use live-action, I gonna put another anime character. Your final new character spot goes to…"
