Chapter 5: Merry Christmas
-On December 25, 11 a.m. The weather is mostly sunny and warm (70F temperature)-
Cindy, Libby, and Britney walked over to Gina's house. Cindy knocked on the door.
"Hi, kids," Mrs. Maylor (Gina's mother) happily greeted as she opened the door.
"Hello, Mrs. Maylor," the trio greeted.
"You three can come into my house," Mrs. Maylor smiled.
"No, ma'am, we will be walking around the town," Cindy remarked.
"And eating lunch at the fast-food restaurant," Libby added. "It's a special gift."
"Okay, Gina is watching the television, so I'll tell her," Mrs. Maylor replied, then called out to her daughter. "Gina, your friends are here. And come here."
"All right, Mom," Gina said as she stopped watching the television, then she walked to see her best friends. "Hi, girls!"
"Hello, Gina," Cindy, Libby, and Britney happily greeted. "Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas, you three!" Gina happily said.
"Let's go to the park where it's next to our old school," Cindy remarked.
"Merry Christmas, ma'am!" Cindy, Libby, and Britney happily said to Gina's mother.
"Merry Christmas too, kids," Mrs. Maylor smiled. "Gina, have fun with your friends."
"All right," Gina nodded, thinking. (I love to play Tomb Raider games on a personal computer. Plus, Lara Croft is my favorite character. I'm not obsessed with that, like Sheen.)
Cindy, Libby, Gina, and Britney headed to the playground at Lindbergh Elementary School until they sat right on the seating of the rectangular picnic table for hanging out a conversation.
"Gina, my mama said hi to you," Libby said. "She thinks you're a great and amiable person."
"I say hi and thank you, so will you tell her for me, please?" Gina requested.
"Alright, I will," Libby nodded.
"Gina, I want to tell you something about good news," Cindy said.
"Really?" Gina surprisingly asked.
"Yeah," Cindy replied. "Jimmy has already invited you to take a space trip with us. We'll be going into the universe on Saturday morning."
"Hmm, that sounds awesome," Gina smiled.
"Jimmy, Goddard, Carl, Sheen, Libby, and I went to the asteroid belt when we searched collecting the Aster-rubies last several years," Cindy explained.
"Aster rubies?" Gina wondered. "I haven't heard that before."
"It's the most priceless substance and valuable gem in the universe where it's from the asteroid belt," Cindy explained. "The red meteor hit in front of my house, so Libby and I found some valuable Astrorubies inside the meteor. The next day, we went to the Candy Bar to wear the rubies as earrings and rings while these guys were surprised."
"We ain't so bored," Libby stated. "I wish we were the richest teenagers in the world."
"Ohh, that's interesting," Gina clearly said.
"Yeah, I want to tell you all about the Christmas story when we were in 5th Grade," Cindy suggested. "Don't worry about the past."
"In Cindy's house, I opened the Christmas gift box and took a video camera. We saw through the window where Jimmy, Carl, and Sheen were preparing for their field trip. Plus, we sneakily peeked to punish Jimmy for hurting Carl's feelings earlier," Libby explained.
"I found Jimmy's darn thing on the rocket's wing, but I accidentally pressed to get sucked us into the Hyper-Cube. These boys took off in the rocket to the North Pole," Cindy added.
"What's next?" Britney asked.
"Cindy and I finally escaped from the Hyper-Cube when I turned up the volume on my portable CD player, so we saw the sign of the North Pole," Libby continued. "I recorded to make a video about Cindy and Jimmy were arguing, and she accused him of ruining the Christmas when he used the DNA tracker overloaded to shoot a beam that bounced around the factory and eventually hit Santa Claus got injured."
"Nerdtron forced us to send us to return Retroville with the factory's toy rocket," Cindy added. "I'm sure he was totally at fault! What a fricking immature boy!"
"Yeah, girl, he was," Libby sarcastically said. "I hope Santa will be alright."
"The next day, we opened the gift box and took a lump of coal. We were extremely upset because of Jimmy!" Cindy remarked.
"Ohh, that sounds mournful," Gina clearly said.
"Yeah, girl," Libby said.
"Girls, I got a letter from the mail for my report card in our school yesterday," Cindy lectured her friends. "Do you all have your report cards from the first semester?"
"Yes, I have it," Gina replied. "I got A/B grades honor roll in every subject, and my parents were very proud of me."
"Same here," Libby added.
"That's excellent," Cindy said. "Ha! Screw you, Nerdtron! I got all A's in every subject!"
"Oh, no! I got C's for a reading and history class," Britney sighed.
"Don't sweat it, girl," Libby assured as she patted Britney on the back. "Next time, you'd better improve your grades."
"Britney, you will be great," Gina added, thinking. (I love mathematics and physical education all the time.)
"Thanks, you both," Britney grinned.
"You're welcome," Gina smiled.
"I've heard Sheen got D's or F's in some subjects on his report card!" Cindy sarcastically said. "What a stupid Ultra-Loser...!"
"Oh, shoot!" Libby shook her head.
"Do you all remember when we were in art class for a project grade the last few months?" Cindy wondered. "Neutron was just jealous because he lacks artistic talent due to being a math and science guy."
"Yeah," Libby sarcastically said. "I remember he showed our classmates for messing colors with ripped art paper of himself without a frame. And they mockingly laughed at him."
"And Sheen was always drawing his Ultra-Lord without frame repeatedly! And they hate it!" Cindy added. "I showed them an unicorn, butterfly, and rainbow with an oval golden frame. They cheered at me."
"An art teacher, Mrs. Devine was very unhappy with Jimmy and Sheen for not following the project, and she gave them an F-grade," Libby remarked. "Finally, he got a bad grade! His brain got tired... LOL!"
"Yeah, I agree with you! I'm back to being a fricking genius in Retroville!" Cindy smirked, then turned to the Korean girl. "Gina, our classmates cheered at you when you showed them your colors of Niagara Falls and the beautiful sky with a rectangle black metal frame. A teacher has impressed you, and she gave you A-grade."
"Thank you, Cindy," Gina happily said. "My mom helped me draw with her, and she's an artistic talent."
"No problem," Cindy smiled. "We like your art show, and you're such a wise."
"Thanks again," Gina smiled. "You too."
Britney wordlessly thought, (Carl got a D-grade from the art class for a project grade due to his migraine).
"Hey, ladies, I have good news," Cindy remarked. "Starting in January, we will take a music class in the fourth period."
"Yeah, girl!" Libby happily said. "I love music class so much."
"Gina, thank you for giving me these nail polish colors," Cindy happily said.
"You gifted me a CD player named Counting Stars, girl," Libby added.
"And a beautiful pink long skirt like a Cinderella," Britney added.
"You're welcome," Gina happily said. "This is the best day of my life, and that's one of my favorite holidays since I grew up."
"Yeah, me too. You're the sweetest girl we've ever met," Cindy smiled. "You're our best friends as far."
"Thank you," Gina smiled. "And gifted me a Christmas present."
"No problem at all," Cindy happily said. "What have you got these presents from your family?"
"My parents gifted me a new iPhone 3GS with 32GB as a pink Apple silicone case. My brother gave me a Visa Gift Card," Gina replied, thinking. (Cindy gifted me this make-up in numerous colors, Libby gave me a portable CD with headphones, and Britney gave me a board game named Ms. Monopoly.)
"That's awesome, Gina," Britney happily surprised. "I'm sure your boyfriend will give you a Christmas gift when he returns here. You will be surprised!"
"Yes," Gina nodded.
"Who wants to eat lunch at McDonald's with us?" Cindy wondered. "I have a gift of $50 cash from my mother, so I'll pay for you all."
"Yeah!" the quartet exclaimed in unison as they slapped their hands a high five. "High five!"
To be continued...,
Author's Note:
I'm sure Gina has already joined a new member of Team Neutron. In the next chapter, I'll be writing about Team Neutron going to take a trip into the universe.
