Chapter 13: New Year Eve's Party
-In the next day, Retroville's time is 7 p.m.-
The weather in Retroville Maple Plain Park is mostly clear and warm, and there are no winds tonight. Corky Shimatzu placed the television, Soma 44" PancakeTek, near the empty outdoor stage and outdoor grill. However, Corky left for his family's house. Just then, several people (whom they're food carriers) also placed the hot dog buns, hamburger buns, the kind of chips, slices of vegetables, lid plastic squeeze bottles of each sauce (ketchup, honey mustard, mayo, and BBQ), and the type of desserts and drinks, paper plates, napkins, and plastic utensils on the rectangular outdoor table. Consequently, Jimmy and Goddard are just coaching the party.
-In 10 minutes later-
Cindy, Libby, and Gina arrive at the park, where they meet Jimmy, Goddard, Carl, and Sheen. They see these games, rectangular outdoor tables, picnic tables, outdoor plastic toilets, half-court basketball, and an empty outdoor stage around the park.
"Hola, ladies!" Sheen greeted as he waved his hand.
"Hello," Nick said as he arrived at the park with Britney.
"Welcome to our party, everyone. Goddard and I will cook these hamburgers and hot dogs on the outdoor grill for dinner tonight," Jimmy lectured his friends. "We will be watching TV for New Year City's Times Square located on the roof of One Times Square, where the ball drop descends a flagpole. We're not at the same time, so NYC's time is 8:18 p.m. right now. So, we'll be starting to watch TV at 10:45 p.m. Right, Goddard?"
"Bark, bark...!" Goddard agreeably barked.
"Jimmy, are you sure when we're staying here for the party as a curfew?" Carl asked. "We don't want to get in trouble."
"Umm, yes," Jimmy replied. "I asked Officer Tubbs permission for the celebration late at night, and then he approved us."
"Whew!" Sheen sighed.
"Jimmy, how do we differentiate our times?" Britney asked.
"The planet Earth rotates of different parts receive sunlight and darkness. I think it has four time zones in the USA," Jimmy explained. "Our town is a central time zone, although it's an eastern time zone in NYC. It's also a way to divide the world into different time zones."
"Oh, I see," Britney clearly said.
"Jimmy, where are Zix, Travoltron, and Tee?" Carl asked.
"I think they will be coming here soon," Jimmy replied. "About ten minutes."
"Carl, you said Tee already reduced being dramatic and called everyone a fool. Right?" Britney asked. "I just want to make sure."
"Yes," Carl replied. "He's a little physical but a cool guy."
"Here's Betty Quinlan," Jimmy said as he saw Betty come to the park, drooling.
"Oy vey," Cindy rolled her eyes.
"Hi, Jimmy..." Betty flirtatiously greeted.
"Hello, beautiful. Welcome to the party," Jimmy flirtatiously said, drooling.
"Yes, I am here..." Betty amorously said in a manner.
"Wake up, Dweeb-tron!" Cindy shouted as she snapped her fingers in front of Jimmy. "Enough to flirt with Miss Hot Pants!"
"What are you calling me, Miss Big Mouth?!" Betty yelled at the blonde girl.
"Miss Big Mouth?!" Cindy shouted as she lost her temper. "Quit calling me a name, Quinlan! I've tried to move on, but this? That's the final time!"
"Libby, why are Cindy and Betty arguing around?" Gina asked.
"Because Jimmy is always flirting with Betty all the time," Libby replied. "It made Cindy get angry."
"Oh, dang," Gina rolled her eyes.
"Cindy, I have nothing to do with this!" Betty argued with Cindy. "I had no idea!"
"Ha! Ha!" Cindy rudely giggled. "Sophomore, you're a terrible liar!"
"I'm not lying!" Betty argued. "Maybe if you listened to what I have to say..."
"Listened?!" Cindy argued. "There's nothing to listen to!"
"You're not even giving me a darn chance!" Betty argued.
"You've had your fricking chance, Quinlan!" Cindy sarcastically said.
"Look, I told you that he was yours last time!" Betty argued.
"But even after that, he's still stuck on you!" Cindy argued.
"Will you both stop arguing like that?!" Jimmy shouted as he gently pushed Cindy and Betty, which quickly subsided.
"Did you invite her to come here, Nerdtron?!" Cindy gruffly asked at the boy genius. "I saw you and April were deep kissing yesterday! I was screwing up myself!"
"Yeah, I did!" Jimmy retorted before turning to Betty. "I'm sorry, Betty, I don't have any time."
"Jimmy, that's all right," Betty sighed before turning to Cindy. "Cindy, I've realized I made a big mistake, so he's all yours. Truce?"
"Umm, well..." Cindy calmly said. "I lost my temper, but that's fine. Truce!"
"Hey! We're here with all of you," Zix said as he arrived at the park with Travoltron and Tee.
"Hello, guys," Jimmy greeted the Space Bandits. "I'm happy to see you again. Welcome to our party."
"Yeah, we're delighted to be here for the party," Zix happily said. "It would be fun."
"I'm certainly excited, buddy!" Travoltron added.
"Me too," Tee added.
"Let's start playing the games, everyone!" Jimmy exclaimed. "Enjoy!"
Everyone started playing games and dancing for over an hour.
"Hut!" Sheen shouted as he tossed the horseshoe to the wooden stake onto the moist sand while playing with Carl on the court. "Goal!"
Cindy and Libby sang and danced around on the outdoor stage.
"Britney, are you ready?" Gina said before starting to play the tennis table.
"Yeah," Britney nodded as she began playing the tennis table with Gina.
"Yo, Tee!" Nick called out to the muscular reptilian while he held the Wilson Jet basketball. "Do you wanna play basketball?"
"Alright, 8-Ball!" Tee declared. "I'm gonna play da B-ball with you like LeBron James."
Nick and Tee started playing basketball, and they were on 1v1.
"Zix, look at the pretty girl," Travoltron whispered, pointing to Betty Quinlan. "Does she look gorgeous?"
"Yeah, I think so..." Zix said. "Why don't you meet and talk to her?"
A skinny reptilian tip-toed towards Betty. "Hello, beautiful human girl,"
"Ahhh...!" Betty scared, backing away. "Get out of my darn face and go away, freaky gecko-head alien!"
"Listen to me," Travoltron begged. "I won't go to hurt you, so I just want to greet and talk with you."
"NEVER!" Betty yelled, and then she walked away.
"Why doesn't she nice to me?" Travoltron sighed.
"Maybe this girl doesn't trust you," Zix replied. "Because she doesn't know who you are. So even, let's dance on the stage!"
"Yes," Travoltron nodded as he headed to the outdoor stage for dancing.
-In 30 minutes later-
"I need to go to the bathroom," Sheen said as he stopped playing and walked into the outdoor toilet.
"OW!" Carl whined. "My scapula!"
"Carl! You okay? I'm sorry when I accidentally whacked you with a tennis ball," Britney said as she stopped playing the tennis table before heading to the outdoor stage.
"Yes, it's okay," Carl murmured.
"Hello, Gina," Betty greeted. "Do you mind when I can play the tennis table with you?"
"Hi, sure," Gina replied as she handed Betty a racket and started playing on the tennis table with Betty. "I like to play the tennis table since I grew up."
"Same here," Betty said as she began playing with Gina.
-In 10 minutes later-
Sheen finished in the bathroom and then walked towards half-court basketball, where he met Nick and Tee.
"Yeah!" Tee exclaimed after he jumped straight up to shoot the ball and made a 3-point shot on a line. "Screw you, 8-Ball! I won 32-31!"
"Hey, guys. Can I join you both in playing basketball?" Sheen asked.
"Of course," Nick rolled his eyes.
"Hey, what's up?" Tee asked.
"Nothing much," Sheen replied. "Are you Master Tee?"
"What? I ain't no 'Master' anything, FOOL!" Tee declared, who acts like Mr. T. "It's Mister Tee, y'all should remember that."
"Oh, right," Sheen said at the reminder. "Nick, I liked Tee and his colleagues were better when they were evil."
"I heard that!" Tee gruffly said. "I pity these fricking villains! Pity them bad!"
-In 15 minutes later-
"Everyone, time out!" Jimmy spoke into the megaphone.
Everybody stopped playing these games, and they stared at Jimmy.
"Break time!" Jimmy spoke into the megaphone. "Firstly, let's eat dinner. Then, eat the desserts. However, don't mix it up."
"Yes, I'll eat numerous desserts," Carl eagerly said.
"Carl, enough to eat these fricking desserts, or you'll get sick!" Sheen glowered as he put his hand covering Carl's mouth to be quiet.
These dinner foods are hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, and the kind of chips, slices of vegetables, and lid plastic squeeze bottles of each sauce. These desserts are chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, brownies, and New Year's Eve cookies. These drinks are Purple Flurp and purified water bottles. Everybody (except Goddard) started placing some hamburgers or hot dogs with slices of vegetables or sauce into the bun and chips on their plates like a buffet, and they sat right on the respective seats of the rectangular picnic tables. They all gathered together to eat these foods and converse along the way.
-Fifty minutes later, when everyone finished eating the dinner and some desserts-
"All right, everyone," Jimmy told everyone. "Time to return to play these games and whatever."
Team Neutron and Space Bandits returned to play these games or whatever.
"Hiya!" Tee greeted as he sat right with Gina on the seating of the picnic table. "Gina is your name, right?"
"Hi, Tee," Gina greeted as she saw the muscular reptilian. "Yes, I am. How did you guys met my friends when you were a bad guy?"
Tee cleared his throat. "In the first time, my colleagues and I met your friends when we tried to steal their aster rubies. Then, we tried to catch and sell them when their whole town got accidentally shrunk. Finally, we teamed up with a bunch of other bad guys named 'The League of Villains' while they attempted to capture Jimmy, but later, Sheen was a kid who made me turn good in the first place, and then I convinced Zix and Travoltron to become good. We also were quitting from a group of darn villains 'cause nobody ever listened to me before, and they teased me like a crap. Teased me bad! Now, y'all are my real friends. Friends stick together."
"Ohh, I see," Gina clearly said. "I haven't heard that before, but now I'm happy to see you guys are good deeds."
"Yeah, we're friends, and that's what friends are for," Tee smiled before he stood up, then opened his arms. "You wanna hug me, don't ya?"
"Hmm, no thanks," Gina replied after she stood up, rejecting.
"Alright, I give up," Tee respectfully said, patting Gina on the upper arm. "My colleagues and I are pleased to meet you."
"Hey, everyone!" Libby spoke into a microphone on the stage. "Let's sing the funky! Ready, Cindy?"
"Hit it, sister!" Cindy exclaimed, then she pressed the button power-on of the Bluetooth record player turntable with stereo speaker.
Betty and Gina started doing a happy prospector's dance while Nick and Britney danced in duo. Space Bandits did a thunderclap and hip-hop dance. Everybody began dancing to the band beats pretty well, but Sheen's dancing was energetic and fast-paced compared to everyone else.
"Wow, Sheen!" Libby surprisingly said as she saw Sheen's dance moves wild. "You're dancing up a storm in here."
"Well, this is nothing," Sheen said as he stopped dancing. "You should see what happens when I hear the macarena."
"Whatever," Libby rolled her eyes. "You're a hyperactive person ever."
"The music is nice here," Travoltron said.
"Oh, no!" Jimmy shockingly said as he saw the television had broken down when all of a sudden. "Don't worry, I'd better repair a broken television immediately before we watch for the New Year countdown. Gotta Blast!"
"Bark, bark...!" Goddard agreeably barked.
"You got it, J!" Tee said, pointing his fingers with his hands at Jimmy.
"You say anything, genius boy," Betty added.
"Hurry up, Jimmy!" Sheen called out in impatience. "It's 10:50 p.m. right now! I want to watch TV for the ball drops to countdown!"
"Stop being complaining, you dork!" Cindy yelled as she slapped her backhand on Sheen's cheek. "Jimmy's still fixing, so nearly finished! It's about 10 minutes left, see?!"
"Ultra-geek, you're so impatient and annoying!" Nick proclaimed as he flicked the rubber band like an arrow on Sheen's head.
"Sheen, that blonde girl's right," Zix said. "We don't have to waste time, so New York City's time is 11:50 p.m. right now. And please be patient, okay?"
"Repairing completed!" Jimmy remarked as he pressed the button to power on and watch the television. "Everyone, let's see the countdown."
"Jimmy, do we will see the fireworks in the sky?" Britney asked.
"Well, yes," Jimmy replied. "We will see the fireworks in the night sky after the countdown, even though it's starting by 11 p.m. here."
Everybody watched the television with eager faces, which was the live New Year's Eve Ball Drop in NYC.
"Go, ball drop, go!" Sheen eagerly said as he saw the ball drops start to descend the flagpole at the television.
"5... 4... 3... 2... 1..." Everybody eagerly said a count of sixty seconds, which they cheered. "Happy New Year 2007!"
"Eww! Stop it, Sheen!" Carl shouted after Sheen accidentally kissed him on the nose.
"That was awesome, I swear!" Travoltron happily cheered. "Happy New Year 2007!"
"Man, I'm gonna praise you guys!" Tee happily exclaimed as he approached to Jimmy, Carl, Cindy, and Britney with open arms.
"No group hugs!" the quartet shouted, backing away.
"Well, no matter..." Tee respectfully sighed.
Everybody began watching the fireworks in the night sky for eight minutes, which they heard like a boom.
"OW! My ears hurt!" Carl cried as he put his hands covered on his ears. "That's very loud!"
"Wow! It's magnificent," Gina happily said.
"Yeah, that is," Britney happily added.
"Beautiful colors of the fireworks," Nick happily added.
"Neutron, I'm sorry when I treated you like garbage. I realize you made mistakes, but you're not the only one with problems like that. You know, I've never gotten a chance," Cindy admitted after Jimmy ignored her. "In reality, I like you a lot. We may fight a lot, but I truly do care about you. You're a smart, kind, talented, and wonderful person I've known."
"Really?" Jimmy wondered. "You know, I've always kind of thought that way about you."
"Yeah," Cindy got a little smile. "Dance with me?"
"Well, sure..," Jimmy said. "Goddard, open a record player."
"Bark, bark..." Goddard barked agreeably, then opened the back of a record player turntable.
"Come with me, my Ultra-Queen," Sheen said as he put his hand on Libby's hand.
Nick and Britney began dancing like Cinderella movie.
"Hey, Zix, come here," Travoltron opened his arms.
"No way!" Zix shrieked, backing away. He doesn't like to hug his friends and other people, so he agreed to give a handshake with them. "I'm not a manly hug."
"Okay, then," Travoltron sighed. "I wish I would be dancing with Boofunka in one day."
"Whatever," Zix rolled his eyes.
"Gina, what's wrong?" Betty asked as she saw Gina look sad.
"I've missed my boyfriend too much, so I wish he would be dancing with me here," Gina sadly said.
"I know you've missed your boyfriend, so he will be here in a few days," Betty assured as she put her hand on Gina's shoulder. "He loves you so much, but he's on vacation right now."
"Yes," Gina nodded.
"Oh, man! I wish I would have a girlfriend," Carl sighed.
"Take your time, Carl," Betty assured.
"Gimme a hug, fellas. Brother love," Tee said as he wrapped his arms around his colleagues in a group hug to dance in a short period of time.
Couple a three-minute hugging slow dance: Jimmy x Cindy, Sheen x Libby, and Nick x Britney, except for Carl, Gina, Betty, and the Space Bandits.
"Jimmy, I want to tell you something," Zix explained. "My colleagues and I will drive off the Earth and back into the galaxy before sunrise. As a result, thank you for letting us save Planet Gorlock against the giant asteroid and beat these darn robots. And I think that's a great party when we're thrilled here."
"I love a party," Travoltron added. "Thanks for inviting us, and we have a pretty good time."
"I'm glad you guys enjoyed it," Jimmy smiled.
"Yeah, we are," Zix happily said. "If you guys have an emergency, you will immediately rely on us. Or my colleagues and I have another problem, we'll immediately call you."
"All right, I will," Jimmy nodded. "I'm very grateful for all of you in here."
"Yeah, thanks," Zix smiled. "See you kids whenever, and bye."
"Goodbye, kids," Travoltron added.
"Y'all have a g-night and sweet dreams. Sleep tight," Tee added. "I love y'all kids! Bye, guys!"
Space Bandits waved goodbye, and they left the park and returned to McSpanky's ship.
"Okay, guys," Jimmy told his friends. "Now, it's time to go back home. We're pretty tired, and there's no plan tomorrow."
"I'm very sleepy, too...," Carl yawned.
"What an epic party," Gina happily said.
"Yeah, I know," Betty happily added.
"Nice party, dude," Nick said as he gave a thumbs up.
Jimmy told his friends. "Everyone, have a good night."
Team Neutron headed to return to their houses.
THE END!

I might write a new story for the Revenge of League of Villains when I have time. Later, I'll post Gina's information and Team Neutron members on my DeviantArt.
