Theory#11: Dr. Kamizono may be an Adept.

Dr. Kamizono may have posed as a human to work for Sumeragi rather than suffer the experimentation himself. If the previous theory is true, then Sumeragi would not have treated him well. Him having a Septima may explain why he knows about them so well. It could also explain why Mytyl was born an Adept if one was her parent, increasing the chance for her to be born with a Septima. His hate for Adepts may not be a hatred but sorrow for knowing what they go through and the guilt of making them suffer.

Being an Adept disguised as a human was no easy feat. Especially when the facility tortured Adepts in unimaginable ways. And the only way to avoid that was to go undercover as someone else. This was the case for Dr. Kamizono.

He somehow managed to become part of Sumeragi without becoming a test subject. The truth was, he was an Adept. His Septima was Pendulum. It could be used to manipulate vectors, allowing for moving objects and people.

He made sure to never use it unless absolutely necessarry to avoid suspicions or watchful eyes. He hated his job and always wanted to quit. Even faking his death was seen as an option, albeit a very complicated one. The worst part of the job Dr. Kamizono found was experimenting on humans and turning them into Adepts.

There was even some cloning methods that Sumeragi managed to create by some miracle. It was all to brutal for him, knowing that could be him at any given moment. If someone were to find out about him having a Septima, it would be all over. They wouldn't allow him to go home.

He would never see freedom or the light of day again. His wife, his son and daughter, they would grow up miserable. And that was something he wouldn't allow to happen. Not if he could help it.

So, he hid his Septima. But, the pain was unbearable, to watch his own kind suffer at the hands of humans. They made it seem like Sumeragi was an equal opportunity employer. That couldn't have been further from the truth.

His daughter was born with a Septima known as The Muse. It allowed the wielder to resonate with and enhance other Septimas. Dr. Kamizono removed it when Mytyl was less than a year old and placed it in a storage facility only he had access to. How someone got ahold of it he did not know.

But betrayl was suspected, and something he certainly looked into. At the moment there were no apparent answers as to how that happened. Unfortunately, there was a day he had to use his Septima. There was a crate in the way that some other team refused to move.

When confronted, nobody there offered to help or took the blame. So, there was no other choice. Unfortunately, Dr. Kamizono's assistant saw this and reported him. Luckily, Sumeragi decided to let him keep his current position.

But, in exchange, he would give away all information he had on his Septima. It was either that or he succumb to the same torture he forced on others. And a threat was made regarding his family enduring harm since Sumeragi was aware of his marriage. All things considered, he would rather leak every piece of information regarding his Septima over risking his life to appease Sumeragi's insidious requests.

Dr. Kamizono even made a plea to work with a new assistant, which was denied. The higher ups felt that it would be best to have him keep working with Mr. Yamato. That way, should something else happen, a report could be made. Dr. Kamizono even researched the possibility that his heritage had something to do with his and Mytyl's Septimas.

It was confirmed that Japan had a higher birth rate of Adepts than anywhere else at the time. Surely, this had to be the problem. Regardless, it was something he couldn't fix. Unless, he could find a way to stop the Septima gene from appearing.

If this were to be done, it could only be accomplished through a difficult process. First, an Adept would have to be identified after their Septima appeared. Then, it would have to be removed. Whether the Adept would give their permission or Sumeragi have it forcefully removed would be difficult to determine.

Sumeragi would most likely rebuke this idea though, claiming it too costly. Especially since Sumeragi was more mindful of profit than the welfare and general wellbeing of their own employees. Sumeragi took to inspecting Dr. Kamizono's background more thoroughly to make sure they didn't miss anything else. Just in case, the files of all other employees were heavily scrutinized as well.

When he learned what happened to his file, Dr. Kamizono felt it was the last straw. What came next couldn't have been predicted by anyone.

"You can't be serious! He actually did that!? I thought he was a human!" Moniqa squeaked.

"I thought so too at first, but the facts were all there. It turns out the file we accessed at S-FIT wasn't up to date. It was an old one backed up to the Datatstore's servers." Asimov explained.

"But still, to think their most notorius scientist was an Adept himself." Moniqa added.

"It could definitely explain why he knew so much about Septimas." Asimov noticed.

Moniqa nodded, unsure of what else to say.

"I get how they didn't see that information ahead of time. Especially considering they didn't check the files of their previous test subjects. Probably because they just picked them up off the streets, cloned them or made them in labs." Moniqa remembered.

"One thing is for sure, they don't care who they hire. Even convicted felons would probably be fair game." Asimov assured.

Little did they know, they were soon going to see how dirty Sumeragi could truly play.
