No-One But You (The Star Child's Eclipse)

Chapter 32: Strange Talk (Part 2)

Oh mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the sassiest and snarkiest of them all?

Which one had the saltiest attitude amongst the group too… was it Tony Stark, or Victor Von Doom?

Lol. Wade Wilson tried to construct a nursery rhyme in his head as he energetically glanced around the room.

He guessed everyone there during the emergency "Stalker Council" meeting was about to explore the questions he had on his mind, and that was cool…

OH, and Starknado dropped some attitude into the mix right away… and the mercenary was secretly glad to witness it.

"Good morning, Doom. I know you think you have some sort of role here… but you don't. I only have a couple questions for you today, then you can be on your way…"

The opportunity for Victor Von Doom to SERVE on the "Surveillant Council" was never voted on or delegated to him, so Tony Stark absolutely refused to give him any sort of ground to stand on.

Steve Rogers played the "nice guy" and asked Ezekiel Stane if he "wanted" Victor Von Doom to have a role on his Council, but that's as far as it fucking went.

The prince of darkness naturally said that he "WANTED" his former mentor to have a role there, but that's too damn bad… and nothing relating to that was ever brought up to a vote.

"Oh, good morning Tony Stark. It seems like none of you actually have a role here on this ridiculous Council, unless you intend to continue monitoring someone who clearly said that it was time to cut ties."

The incident at Battleworld is where Ezekiel Stane said that they needed to go their separate ways, so why not respect that?

Doom didn't agree with any of the surveillance, and he'd been doing what he could to undermine the Surveillant Council once he regained access to someone's "quiet coyote."

Everyone there noticed the sharp smirk that emerged on Tony's face after Doom said his bit.

Oh, so, none of them actually had a role there? Says who?…

Members of the public might say otherwise if they knew the friggen truth.

"How funny. That's cute. You're obviously not understanding what we're actually doing here for Ezekiel Stane. It's either he cooperates with this Surveillant Council… or he goes back to prison. SO, who's side are you actually on?"

Is someone missing the bigger picture here? Because giving Ezekiel Stane any sense of "freedom" has always been putting innocent lives at risk.

Some might argue that BECAUSE of the Surveillant Council, Ezekiel was turning things around and doing a great job out there in the wild.

Tony was actually proud of his progress, and deep down the inventor was rooting for him to follow through with every goal that he came up with.

"Did ya even know about that part of the bargain, Doom? Because I sure as hell didn't forget."

In Tony's expert opinion on Ezekiel Stane, his early "work" manufacturing bioweaponry and trafficking humans for his psycho father helped spread the disease of violence, death, corruption and friggen chaos…

The ruler of Latveria listened to what Tony said to him, but he never felt like responding or declaring himself to be on any sort of side.

Truth be told, the man was asked to explain his "side" all the time, but he never gave anyone any sort of response.

Doom explained himself to no one, but he couldn't help but look over in Ezekiel's direction.

In this situation, however, he actually did have an answer to give… for Ezekiel's sake.

The ruler of Latveria almost spoke after giving his answer some additional thought, but the sound of Tony's voice interrupted the moment.

"We're talking about "counseling" someone who's grown up funneling some dark and twisted shit all over the black market, and I know that's not what you represent. So, I want to know who's side you're on, Doom, and why you're really opposed to having this council…"

Victor Von Doom was a good "ruler" out there in Latveria.

His country had a history of being oppressed… and run by tyrants, but Tony looked into how the everyday person actually lived there under Doom's leadership.

It was a wealthy country, and it actually flourished in a lot of different ways…

And since we're diving into the details… some might even say that Latveria's only rival out there is another distant land called Wakanda.

Ezekiel Stane felt a little angry as he listened to Tony Stark carry on and talk about him as if he wasn't SITTING right there in the same friggen room.

That pompous bastard was beginning to get on the Jackal's last nerve, and honestly… Ezekiel began to think that he was doing it on purpose.

He didn't expect Victor Von Doom to actually answer him either, because everyone knew that the man didn't explain himself to anyone…

"I will entertain your questions today, Stark, because under these circumstances I find myself aligned with Ezekiel Stane. I've seen a side of him that deserves an opportunity to reveal itself… and that is why I'm very opposed to the methods of your Surveillant Council."

OH wow. So, now we're finally getting somewhere with this GYPSY PRICK?

Victor Von COCK-SOCK's response was very poised and to the point… but then a super thick silence filled the room shortly after that sassy fucker spoke.

It got way too quiet in the room as well, up until everyone heard the sounds of someone locking and loading an 8 round "Desert Eagle" magazine back into his magnum revolver….

Can you guess who it was?

Wade Wilson really didn't like Doom's answer, and he REALLY didn't like how he kept looking over at Ezekiel…

So, what's a jealous and territorial man to do?

The infamous Deadpool loudly readied one of his handguns out of spite and habit, then he gently set it against his left thigh.

The impulse to shoot the fucker dead in the eye was growing, and the mercenary was actually trying to hide it…

He did NOT want to seem affected by Victor Von-FUCK FACE, and all his fancy GYPSY-TRASH TALK.

The guy sounded like one of those annoying rich fuckers from a foreign film too, so Wade's annoyance with him started picking up…
