Emily Preston witnessed an energetic man named Wade Wilson loudly yell out the word "SHINY" in the middle of a crowded lobby.

They were heading back into the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility, and there was a ton of traffic going back and forth in that section of the building.
Ezekiel Stane was on his way out, heading towards Wade, when the infamous Deadpool loudly made his presence known.
How cute was he… Emily watched Ezekiel's reaction.
The young man stopped dead in his tracks when Wade Wilson made his noise, then she quietly laughed as the mercenary started spinning circles around his "cute lil coyote."
Deadpool gracefully spun around in circles as he made his way to Ezekiel, and he was singing some whacko song too.
His mood was very "tra-la-la" and witnessing Deadpool flutter about was hysterical.

WHOA THERE, some heavy awkwardness quickly followed Wade's peculiar behavior, because the merc immediately took ownership of someone's "cute lil face" soon as he reached Ezekiel Stane.
Oh come on now, Emily Preston absolutely had to look away.
Wade's kiss was very sudden, so Ezekiel got all flustered up immediately.
The mercenary was also holding the somber Jackal's face in his hands as he kissed him too, and that was… fine.
Ezekiel welcomed the kiss, and he quietly returned it.
It really didn't register that Wade was entertaining a guest at all, and the "quiet coyote" failed to acknowledge all the other onlookers who were entering and exiting the facility.

"WADE, hello, are you forgetting something?"

Emily's voice caused a sudden snap, and she watched Ezekiel Stane gasp back a bit from that kiss.
His eyes sharpened up too, and they made eye contact.

"OH YEAH. HAHAa… Shiny, this is Emily. She's an old friend… who.. uhh.."

Wade didn't want to say the details about his arrangement with Emily out loud, and we all know why he couldn't finish his sentence.
Ezekiel Stane silently swallowed, and he did his best to fix the lethal looking expression that formed on his face.
Emily's voice startled him, and it pulled him out of the void he went into while he was kissing Wade.
The Jackal fell into it too quickly, and he made a mental note about his own behavior.

"I know who she is, Wade."

OH? Oh WHOA, really? Wade gave another playful laugh as he processed Ezekiel's cute lil response, then he quickly fixed his mask over his face.
Well now… you think you know me, kid? Emily had to turn all her focus in Ezekiel Stane's direction.
He had some sharp eyes, for sure, and Emily took a moment to kinda read the young man's energy.

"Well, that's great! We were just, you know… catching up. Wanna ditch this shit?"

Wade was hella down to ditch, and he gave his good friend a big smile beneath his mask.
Emily could tell Wade was smiling, but that cute little smile she saw on Ezekiel's face was nowhere to be seen.
His vibe was very territorial and cautious, but Emily smiled all the same.

"You two take care. It's nice to meet you, Ezekiel, and maybe I'll see you around Wade."

Ezekiel didn't necessarily respond to Emily's cordial exit. He gave her a quiet shrug of acknowledgement, but that was it.
She re-entered the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility shortly after that, and simply went about her day.
Wade didn't friggen follow along with any of those tedious details.
I mean, Emily Preston's behavior of coming or going didn't really matter to him at all. Why would it?
He was thinking about seeing his daughter Ellie tho… but, the thought subsided and he started hugging on his precious Shiny.
Ezekiel was immediately wrapped up and smothered against Wade's bulky body… and that was, fine.
The Jackal was wanting that attention, actually, so he closed his eyes and returned Wade's warm embrace..
