(Early Authors Note: Ooookay, I'm finally here with chapter 2! I honestly don't have much to say for this AN, so I might as well head straight to reviews.

To Primalparadox: I don't know what rotflmao means, but I'll take it as a compliment! And no, destroying the gate wouldn't send any of the Greenskins out of Remnant. Think of it as just a regular door, and the Old World and Remnant are rooms connected by said door. Closing it won't suck the Greenskins back into their room. And no one is 'copying' Orc tech, the Orcs are copying Remnant tech. As for all of Warhammer in Remnant? I admit, it's a tad much, but it's all for a story reason (that'll come MUCH later, but still). Nevertheless, I appreciate you giving this story a read.

To Merendinoemiliano: Thank you! And no, the Slayers (though they are actually Berserkers, since we talked about Norse Dwarfs) will not have any significant purpose in Vol 2. But they will in Weiss's side story.

To DemonicOrder: Yeah, they'll be facing true savagery now. And the team name, I actually took inspiration from your GRJRN. And Maria will pop up in the area like normal as well. And thank you for offering to help remind me about any characters I may forget!

To Guest: Ind? No. Cathay or Nippon? Well, first I have to ask which exactly Mistral is based off of? Is it china or Japan? If it's one or the other then I'll do either Cathay or Nippon (but the other will make an appearance as well).

Now let's start chapter 2!)

Now on the wintry seas of Solitas, the company rose in spirits quite highly as they had a swift transport to take them to Argus (and by extension Anima). Nora asked out loud "Wow! These longships are fast! How do these guys make 'em like this?" A passing Norscan sailor said "We Norse pride ourselves on our swift wolf-ships. How we make them so fast… we keep it a secret. Can't have any competition, now, can we?" as he laughed and went back to his task. Jaune then returned, saying "I just talked to the captain, and he said we should be nearing Argus any day now. He also asked… um…"

"Asked what?" Gillie questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"What Beacon team we are."

At this the group fell into silent thought. Then Ruby looked to Jaune and said "Whatever we name our team, you should lead it, Jaune. I… don't feel ready to be a leader again. Not yet…" but then Jaune said "No, no. Not me. I still don't completely understand what it is we're doing. And besides, why not have Gillie lead?" Gillie looked around him before pointing to himself, saying "What? ME? I'm just a Warrior Priest! At the very least, I've led Flagellants and other zealous warriors of Sigmar. Not… well… I just don't know if I'd do a good job leading you all into and out of danger." Ruby and the others just looked at him with smiles, and Nora said "What? Don't worry about that! A leader is someone who's willing to take charge and can make swift decisions."

"And you have done both numerous times during Beacon." added Ren. "Besides," added Ruby, "I think I'd just feel more comfortable with my own team, y'know? But maybe without… one person." At this her face darkened and she looked out at sea back towards Solitas.

"Well then…" said Gillie. "So be it. I shall lead, and from henceforth our team name will be Team GRRNJ." At which point Nora whispered to Ren "Grange?" who replied "It means an association of farmers. But in this case, an association of warriors."

"Oohhh, gotcha!"

Now known as Team GRRNJ, the five friends wandered about the deck, but Ruby and Gillie remained behind to chat. "Ruby, how are you… feeling?" Gillie asked hesitantly. Ruby, still staring out at sea, turned to him with a bright smile and replied "Y-yeah! Why wouldn't I be? Just… Just gazing at the cold, blue sea and sky." Now, Gillie could tell a change in people's feelings, but Ruby's were… somewhat of a jumbled mess. "Do you… remember anything at Beacon? When it was attacked?" he asked. At this Ruby froze and faced him, but would not meet his eyes as she said "I remember. I remember the fire… the dead… Yang murdering s-someone… I remember. Why?" Gillie nodded and said "I merely wanted to know if you're alright."

"Well I am, thanks. If you, uh, don't mind… I'd like to be alone for a bit."

Gillie nodded and left. "So, that's how it is, is it, Ruby? You would push down that event and forget… all to cope?" he said quietly to himself as he shook his head. He then went to the captain of the longship, a captain Torki to be exact. He was rather heavyset but incredibly strong (Gillie's arm still felt sore from the arm-wrestling match he lost) and a heavyset drinker. Even so, he knew how to sail a ship as good as any other Norscan. "Hey there, Priesty! Watcha doin' here… hiccup… Huh?" Torki asked as he drained another mug of ale. "Just wondering how much more time until we reach Argus. You do know… don't you?" Torki wiped his mouth and glared, replying "Course I do! I'm flat drunk, not flat lost at sea! You Empire people… Eesh…" as he shook his head and looked out at the ice flows. "And besides…" he added with a wry smile, "who wouldn't want a little high seas adventure along the way? We could find some good treasure, I bet!" Gillie just said "That is the absolute last thing we need. Our world and Remnant are colliding more and more… Who knows what dangers now prowl these seas." Torki just laughed before taking another swig and saying "Dere ain't nothin' to worry about! We've gotten this far, yeah? We'll be fine!"

Only for a loud roaring to suddenly jolt everyone to attention. There, in the distance but rapidly approaching them, was a small fleet of Norscan longships. At once, cannons began firing fiery balls of ruin in their direction.

"PIRATES!" cried a Dwarf before Gillie looked at Torki and said with a deadpan expression "Nothing to worry about, huh?" The Norscan just chuckled and took another swig before running to the wheel and turning the ship away from the pirates. Norse Dwarfs and Norscans were firing crossbows and javelins at the nearest ships, and though they killed some, there were too many for them. Soon enough the fleet surrounded them as one particularly big one sailed up right beside them. A lone Norscan stood tall and looked down on them. His eyes were wide and crazy, he had a rather mean mullet style with his hair, and he wielded a red axe in each hand. He chuckled madly before hopping over and at once getting to work. He took the legs from one Dwarf before beheading a rushing Norscan, then threw one axe right into another Norscan's head. With his other he slammed it down three times into a Norse Dwarf before rushing to his thrown axe and taking it back, uppercutting another charging Norscan. Then everyone kept their distance. Ruby, taken out of her trance, pulled out her weapon but Torki cried "Stop! Don't move in!" Nora looked at him and asked "Why? We can't just let him rob us! Who is he anyway?!"

"Mad Mulletson. Wonderful to meet you all. Now, I'm going to have to ask you to gimme your valuables." said the pirate captain.

"And what if we don't?" Gillie said threateningly. Mulletson just grinned madly.

"Then I'll just gut you all like fishies!"

All of a sudden he was right before Gillie, both axes swinging down on his head. "How…? Evade it! EVADE IT." Gillie cried in his mind even as he looked up at the axes, only for Ruby to use (the non-bladed side of) Crescent Rose to sweep him off his feet before swinging it back around to cut Mulletson's legs off as Nora came from behind with her hammer to crush his head. But Mulletson, insane though he was, was smart. With axes over his head, he jumped to dodge Ruby's swipe, and then felt the force of Nora's hammer on his axes. Back on his feet Mulletson rushed towards Ruby with a roar and picked her up, ran her all the way to the far end of the ship, threw her down then kneed her in the chin. With that, Ren began firing waves of bullets, but the Norscan just giggled and nimbly dodged in the form of Norscan dance moves. He twisted and turned and dodged and barrel-rolled all the way to Ren, leaned into him, and then headbutted him to the ground. Gillie and Jaune both came in, with Jaune holding up his shield and sword out like a spike and Gillie ready to slam the hammer down. Mulletson took them head-on, their attacks doing nothing to him, and then brought them down. More of the crew tried to help, but some were cut down or maimed at once. "HYAH HA HA HA HA!" laughed Mulletson. "Such fun! Sorry, crew, I'll find us a bigger target next time. But…" He then walked over to Ruby, knocked Crescent Rose out of her hands, and then slung her over his shoulder. "I believe I know someone who'd pay a pretty penny for you. Right, let's move out!"

And so Mad Mulletson's fleet left just like that. Of course, they did fire some parting shots just to spite their victims.

With the fleet gone, and everyone licking their wounds, Jaune began to panic "W-what do we do?! They took Ruby, but what would they want with her?! No, no, no–!" but Gillie grabbed a hold of him and shook him, saying "Stand strong, Jaune Arc! We are not wholly defeated yet! Torki! Can you follow Mulletson's band of ships? We're getting Ruby back at ONCE. No one in Team GRRNJ is left behind!" Torki looked uncertain at first before nodding, saying "R-righty-o…" and setting sail in Mulletson's direction.

Speaking of the mad Norscan, he and his fleet reached their little island fortress and once there, Mulletson tossed Ruby onto the ground amid a leering band of Northmen. Ruby scrambled to her feet and looked around her for a way to escape, but Mulletson appeared and grabbed her by her hair and whispered "Now, now… no running for you. We're gonna wait here a little until our buyer arrives." Ruby's eyes widened and she cried "B-buyer? You're selling me off?!"

"Oh no, no, no! At least, I don't think so… Our buyer paid a pretty penny in advance for us to get you. Funny thing is… he seemed rather upset about someone else only wanting your pretty silver eyes. Odd, that, but who cares?"

Just then a beautiful trumpet sounded and a purple ship came into view. "And there he is now." Mulletson said with a grin. The ship was a horrifying amalgamation of wood, flesh, faces and tentacles, sailing lithely into harbor. And down the screaming and moaning gangplank (with a hop, skip and a jump no less) came Hup'Kala. "Hee hee! Hee hee hee! I see you there, little Rose! Time to come away with me now! Tee hee!" said the Slaaneshi demon with a giggle before thanking Mulletson and then walking towards the tied-up Ruby. She struggled and managed to use her Semblance, but she didn't get far before Hup'Kala lashed out with a tentacle arm and grabbed her. He whispered tantalizingly in her ear "Now, now. None of that, my little flower. Hhnngrh… I must admit, you're lucky. If I wasn't specifically told to bring you back alive and unspoiled, we'd have such a fun party on my ship." Ruby continued to struggle, shivering as the Daemon nibbled on her ear, and said "Who sent you? Who would want me?!" Hip'Kala made a 'tsk' noise before giving her a little spank, saying "Naughty girl! I can't go and betray my employer's trust like that. How about this: I'll take you to her, and then you'll know!" Ruby only shook her head and with a cry used her Semblance once again, slipping out of the Daemon's grasp, then turning and giving him an axe kick to the head. Hup'Kala was so stunned he wasn't able to guard his… special area… from a deadly kick-jab to it.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Hup'Kala screamed as he fell to his knees and the pirates began to charge Ruby. Thinking on her feet, she sped past them and hopped onto Mulletson's ship, spotted a small Imperial dinghy, and with great effort tossed it into the sea and hopped in it. A Fimir managed to jump in with her, but his weight made the boat tip and send him slipping into the water. Mulletson angrily shouted as he jumped down onto the drowning Fimir (using it as a mere stepping stone) and leaped towards Ruby. She used one of the oars as a makeshift spear and pushed the mad Norscan back, sending him into the water (to which the Fimir smirked at as he still struggled). Soon Ruby was rowing far off in the distance, but Mulletson (having scrambled onto his boat) set sail after her with a whining Hup'Kala following. Unknownst to either of them, both boats smacked the Fimir still in the water, sending him further under where he drowned.

As Ruby rowed and rowed some more, she really had no idea where she's going. For two days she was out at sea, and for two days she hid wherever she could fit her little dinghy. But on the third day, as she lay sprawled across her boat and staring up at the cold sky, the shadow of a large ship appeared over her. At once Ruby shot up and looked at the ship, waving "H-hey! Help me! There're these–" only for the words to die in her throat.

"Heya, Red! Long time no see, huh?" laughed Roman as he, Neo, team GRYN, Junior (and Junior's men), Melaine and Militia, Grumlock and Gazbag, Umug and their tribe all leveled their weapons at her.

Ruby slumped down in defeat.

Ruby was hog-tied and tossed into the brig of her captors' ship, which they all called (or more accurately, Gorlasg and Grumlock called) the Grimsnik. It was a large, but rather rickety ship, with wood and nails jutting out in places, the front of the ship covered by a leering Greenskin symbol, and piles of dung in a few areas. The only reason Ruby hadn't thrown up from the smell was because Goblins were actively dumping the manure into the sea.

Dusting off his hands, Roman said "Ah-ha-ha! That was easier than I thought! What luck, eh?" to which Melaine nodded and Militia said "Hmph. I thought she'd actually put up a fight or something. She's just a weakling." Junior and Umug laughed their agreement, but Gorlasg said "Ha. Shez jus tired, is all. I know dat git ain't gonna be down fer long. Be ready for anythin', ya hear?" The rest of his team along with Grumlock and Gazbag nodded, and Gazbag said "Hyeh, hyeh! Dontcha worry none! I'z gotta gud spell to deal wit 'er, you'll see!" Gorlasg huffed and walked off. And so the crew of the Grimsnik sailed in a southwesterly direction, hoping to return to Vale. It was dark when they began to throw a party on the top deck, and even Gorlasg joined in (if mostly for the wrestling matches).

As they partied, Neo thought she saw a faint, eerie glow in the distance. She tugged on Roman's coat and pointed in the direction, but Roman only replied "Calm down, Neo. You probably just saw a flash from the party lights or something." (It must be known that Roman has had more drinks than is good for him as he says this.) Neo looks out again, and again she sees the eerie light, this time much closer. And… was that operatic singing? She tried to tell Roman again, and this time he just belched loudly before saying "Calm down, Neo. There's nothin' out there! Enjoy yourself, yeah?" Neo just puffed up her cheeks in frustration and stomped off.

Only to fall flat on her back when the sides of the Grimsnik were hit by cannonballs. "WHAT DA ZOGGIN' 'ELL?!" cried Grumlock and Gazbag as everyone was scrambling to the defenses. Neo just got up, walked over to Roman, and pulled out a sign, on which she wrote some words:

I told you so.

"Okay, yes, I'm sorry. I'll listen to you more from now on. Now help keep us from going under!" Roman said before suddenly getting snatched by a Fell Bat. He blasted it in the head with his cane, and fell on top of another, and both crashed onto the deck. Getting up, Roman saw something he thought he'd never see. "Oh, undead pirates. Wonderful."

Sure enough, zombie pirates, armored warriors with halberds, ghostly hordes of drowned spirits, and even the ghosts of Bretonnian Knights were running amok on the deck. Neo was battling a Depth Guard, parrying his first strike and backflipping when he swung his halberd low to take her legs. She then sidestepped when he slammed his halberd down into the ground, and she nimbly stepped on it just as the Guard pulled it free, sending her into the air where she killed three Fell Bats carrying Zombie Pirate Bombers before speeding to the ground like a bullet and penetrating the Guard's helmet with her umbrella-sword. Roman blew apart an Animated Hulk and then blasted a Mourngul overboard as Junior brought down a tight clump of zombies with his weapon as Melaine and Militia fought as one, taking down multiple foes. The Greenskins were putting up a savage fight as well, but then the large ghost ship appeared and standing on the prow was a big ghost woman with a staff and fan. "Hmm… Ah, some listeners to my concert! How wonderful! Listen, mortals, and hear the melodious voice of Madame Cylostra Direfin!" spoke the woman before she began to sing. The undead were held in a trance and the living were feeling themselves be pulled towards the edge of the ship. Already a few Goblins fell overboard and did nothing as they began to drown, but Grumlock let out a great waaagh as his Semblance appeared and burned straight towards Cylostra. Even as this happened, on Cylostra's right there came a Norscan ship sailing fast and firing cannons. She dared not get stuck between two foes like this, so she let out an angry scream, calling back all the undead to her ship before sinking beneath the waves. "RUBY! Are you there?!" cried her team before jumping onto the Grimsnik. There they saw team GRYN and the other foes with surprise before Ruby suddenly appeared from the nearby door and said "Guys! Am I glad you're here now!"

"Wh-what the–?! How'd she escape?!" Junior cried before turning to Umug. "Hey! You were supposed to be watching her!"

Umug balked and said "It ain't my fault. I told Umbrella Git to do it."

Neo then pointed to Yaklak and Naklak, indicating they were supposed to do it.

"And we told Melaine ta do it!"

"And I told Militia to do it."

"And I told Umug to do it."

At this Umug went into some thought before saying "Oh, yeah… I guess it is my fault!"

"And we oughta thank you for it, Orcy!" yelled Nora as she slammed her hammer into his side and sent him flying into Rotgutt. Then Ren fired his guns into Gorlasg, but the Orc's armor protected him enough for him to close the distance between the two only for Jaune to leap in and battle the Orc. Ren switched to Rotgutt while Nora battled agaisnt Umug. Gillie fought Grumlock and Gazbag while their crew battled the rest of the enemy. Ruby (after getting Crescent Rose from Gillie) battled both Roman and Neo. Ruby used her Semblance to close the distance between her and Roman, and swung her scythe only for Roman to shatter like glass and Neo to appear and kick her in the gut before cutting her arm. Roman then swung his cane down on her from behind before firing a shot, but Ruby rolled out of the way in time. "Doesn't this take you back, Red? Remember those good battles we had in Vale?" Roman asked, but Ruby only huffed in answer before firing her gun a few times. But not at Roman or Neo, rather, the front of the deck near the prow.

Gazbag saw this, his eyes going wide, and he cried out "Oh, no, no, no, no, NO–!" as steam appeared from the holes Ruby made. Then, a massive explosion rocketed the ship into the air. Luckily, Ruby managed to speed to each of her allies and dragged them to the edge of the ship. Once it exploded, they all fell into the water. The owners of the Grimsnik, however, were blasted off into the sky along with their ship.

"LOOKS LIKE WE'RE KRUMPED AGAAAIINNNN!" they all cried (indeed, even Neo held up a sign that had these words on it) as they flew away eastwards.

Back with Ruby and her crew, they all clambered aboard their ship and at Ruby's urging at once set sail towards Argus again. She told about her daring escape from Mulletson and Hup'Kala, and her fear that they might still be following. Luckily, they did not come across them for the next three days before seeing Argus in the distance. "Argus. We made it!" Nora cried cheerfully as she latched onto Ren. Ruby smiled as well. Gillie was just about to say something when he stopped and frowned.

There, flying proudly in the wind, was the flag of Eataine.

(Ending Authors Note: HMMMM! Eataine... where have I heard that before? And, for those who have watched Pokemon, yes, I just had to put in that little easter egg there. I do hope I did good for this chapter, and made the battles interesting. Again, I don't really have much to say this time around for my AN, but... I've been thinking. Once I finish the mainline Greentide tale, and I do the side stories in Remnant, I've been thinknig about asking you all how they should go. By which I mean: If there's a certain Warhammer hero or villain you'd like to see in the side story, along with a specific plot, then tell me and I'll see which one to do! I like to be down-to-earth (if you will) with you all, and I think this could be a good way to go about that. Well, if ya like it, let me know. But that's all for this chapter, ya gits!)
