Disclaimer: We don't own Danny Phantom or Monster High.
Announcement at the end.
The wheels of the subterrain way rattled and squealed as the passengers inside waited patiently in their cars. Frankie was looking out the window, admiring the caverns and tunnels underground, watching a colony of bats fly.
The Frankenmonster adjusted the bottom of her torn labcoat. With the bottom buttons in disarray, she organized the makeshift slited skirt against the cushion of her chair. While it was late, even by monster standards, the car was nearly empty, save for a few night monsters.
It was a good thing Gyre Trollways were open at all hours. And it was even better that Cleo made sure they all rode in a first class car. The Victorian interior was lovey with tables set between facing rows of chairs, complete with an all-night waiting staff.
Next to her, Draculaura looked over the photos and selfies she took. Despite the sudden ghost fight that crashed the party, she made a lot of happy memories. It helped that her cop outfit, which she dare say was arresting, showed off her petite yet glamorous figure. Not to mention her fangs and pink highlight accentuated her cuteness.
"That was so much fun!" The pink vampire was logging on to Critter. "I can't wait to creep this! Which picture should I post?"
A webbed hand pushed down the iCoffin as Lagoona looked from across the row. Clawdeen leaned in from behind giving a curious eye.
"Draculaura, I don't think you wanna post anything before Spectra," Clawdeen said.
"Though you should show the parts of the normies screaming when that frighty knight ghost came down."
Across the table, Cleo was seen smiling smugly. The mummy girl did nothing to hide her dislike of humans. Throwing good parties was one thing, but celebrations like that needed to be bigger by her standards.
"Not cool, Cleo." Lagoona narrowed her eyes with crossed arms. "It's one thing to scare people, but I think that ghost was out for blood."
Draculaura gagged loudly at the mention of blood. Her face turned a shade of green as Frankie patted her gently on the back. A few whispers from Spectra managed to calm the vampire girl, noting how ghosts are not really blooded monsters.
"I came believe you invited the bloke." Lagoona was inspecting her costume, adjusting any seashells that were out of place. "I mean, don't take this the wrong way, but I don't he was too keen on the idea of seeing other monsters."
"I can't blame him," Spectra said, floating above everyone. "When it comes to the Ghost Zone, most ghosts don't really want much to do with others." The ghost girl floated to the aisle end of the table. "In fact, my part of the Zone is one of the few peaceful, metropolitan areas, and that's saying something."
"Please don't tell me he might fight someone," Clawdeen wanted to slap her face. "Fright now, that's one of the last things we want at school. You know how the Headless Headmistress has been propping up the school."
"Ahhh..." Ghoulia rasped, slowly raising an arm.
"Ghoulia's fright," Spectra said, getting out her iCoffin. "According to the latest gossip, the headless headmistress has been busy. She's been seen going in and out of campus with rumors of big changes coming."
Frankie lead the group as they leaned into the ghost girl. The only thing heard were the gears rattling against the tracks for minutes as everyone held their breath. Even Cleo was too curious, unable to ignore the potential news.
But sadly, all the ghost girl could give was a sigh and nod.
"I'm sorry to say, but I haven't been able to investigate." Spectra phased to the row behind. "I'm sorry."
Draculuara peeked behind as she gave a sympathetic face. She could feel the claws of Clawdeen patting her slowly with stiff fingers, as if to say everything will be alright.
Frankie yawned, stretching her arms overhead. The excitement was wearing down as exhaustion loomed over her. Her labcoat was heard adding a new tear from the armpit, making her quickly flap them down as she now sighed.
"Awww. This was my dad's favorite coat during his year in Monster High," Frankie said.
Despite everything, the ghouls managed to wake up with enough energy to walk through the entryway of Monster High, the Coffin Corridor, as it was called. Lush green grass bordered the campus castle in its coffin line as students walked by the founder's statue.
The colorful camaraderie of characters was brighter than the rising sun.
Frankie looked around as she always did, smiling and waving at everyone she saw. She almost bumped into Draculaura, who was making sure her sunscreen was evenly layered across.
"Oh, Excuse me! I'm so sorry Draculaura. I guess I still haven't learned to watch where I step." Frankie apologetically said.
"No worries Frankie. No harm was done, so all is forgiven." Draculaura said, not upset in the least as she finished applying her sunscreen.
It was almost a mystery how they could be so cheerful, but nobody cared enough to ask questions beyond their stares, least of all Cleo. The mummy girl insisted she needed at least eight hours of beauty sleep.
Given their late arrival home, they were glad to get any shut eye.
The ominous doors of the castle flew open as the clicking of heels and shoes chorused inside with the others. The hallways were of warm colors with walls of coffin shaped lockers stacked in rows of two. Monsters of all shapes and sizes were seen as the ghouls made their way to Spectra's office.
They found the ghost girl typing away on her laptop. Save for her seating arrangement, the room seemed messy with file cabinets left open and dust everywhere. While some would find this endearing, not even the cobwebs looked to be in order.
"Don't ghosts need sleep?" Cleo sniped, swatting away a cobweb from touching her hair.
The ghouls gathered around as they snapped their friend out of her trance.
"Hey Spectra, how's your article coming along?" Lagoona asked.
Spectra was silent, barely moving. If it were not for the fact she was a ghost, there would be concern.
"Ahhh...?" Ghoulia rolled her eyes. A slow tap on the ghost girl's shoulder got a response.
Spectra jumped a bit, now noticing her friends. With a long drawn breath, she slumped into her chair, going through the back as she laid flat in the air.
"Oh! Ghouls! I didn't see you there," Spectra respond.
"So, don't keep us in suspense." Draculuara leaned in. "How's the article coming?"
"...The Amity Park article for the blog, already done, but my article on Danny Phantom that still has me puzzled. I'm still wondering about the interview," Spectra said, looking over her notes. There was a guy feeling in her, a reporter sense, telling her that it wasn't ready yet.
A groan escaped the ghost girl, crumbling paper in her hand as she gave out an uncharacteristic face of exhaustion as she floated up, landing back in her seat after a long second.
As the ghouls calmed her down, nobody noticed the door opening nor heard it creaking along with a few wood panels on the floor.
"There's still plenty of questions that I want to ask him, too. But we ran out of time." Spectra sighed, burying her head through the desk.
Frankie laid a hand on the furniture with soft eyes at her friend. "Hey now. Don't give up. He's still coming over to Monster High, remember?" She said.
That got the ghost girl's attention as her face phased through the countertop. There was still time.
A low dragging sound was heard as the light of the laptop turned a complete one-eighty, highlighting the catty face of a new ghoul in their midst.
"So, this is Danny Phantom that's been the cause of all the fuss." Torelai spoke in a faux-cutesy tone as she eyed the ghouls, smirking at her presence irking most of them. Save for Franky, her baby-like tone got her desired reaction as her attention turned to the laptop.
"You know, I gotta say, I was expecting him to be—"
"Taller?" Cleo interjected with a curious brow raised. She inspected her finger nails for any imperfections in color or shape, acting like they were more important than the trespassing werecat. "We know. Sadly, his face works wonders, but he's too scrawny to make it work."
Purrsephone and Meowlody peered from behind their leader's back, shaking their heads with smug smiles. Giggling in unison, they kept to the backgrounds as Torelai took to the frontlines.
"Then I guess all this was for nothing," Torelai "pouted" with a facade of sadness. Her faux emotions were an open book to the ghouls. Well, most of them.
Cleo was now engaging in a stare-off with the posse, specifically their leader. They still had unfinished business to attend.
Frankie quivered her bottom lip as she felt sorry for the werecats, but that was replaced instantly with a smile as she walked over. Draculaura and Clawdeen reached out to stop Frankie before she did something she regretted, but they were too late as the stitched-up ghoul patted Torelai on the back.
"Oh, don't worry. You'll get a chance to meet him when he visits Monster High." Frankie's words cut through the tension. Reading the room was still new to her, and she had not realized how her friends were trying to ward the cats away.
"Oh?" Torelai asked, as her curiosity was peaked. Precariously perching herself on another desk in the room, her posse went to her sides as her grin chersired. "You're saying that Danny Phantom is going to visit our humble school?"
"Since Spectra's interview with him was cut short, I got him to come visit Monster High for more time and to show him what the monster community is like." Frankie squeezed her arms together in a squeeing manner as she smiled. "Did you know that he's never been in the monster realm before?"
"You don't say?" Torelai said with a poker face as her ghouls snickered.
"Yeah. We don't," Clawdeen interjected, taking the frontline. "So why don't you wait until someone does. Outside."
Cleo walked up to the wolf girl's side with a stern glare. Head held high, she kept the litter in sight as her eyes practically herded them away. She could see Torelai's face as she left the room. A face overwritten with I'll be back.
The door to the room clicked shut as Draculaura and Ghoulia turned to Franky.
"Moum..." Ghoulia rasped.
"Ghoulia's right. Frankie, just because it's better g news, doesn't mean you need to tell everyone," Draculaura reiterated.
The stitched up girl made an O with her lips as she looked around with raised brows.
As things calmed down, Spectra had kept to her desk, relooking over photos she had taken for what could be the umpteenth time.
The ghost girl tried to continue working on her blog, the Ghostly Gossip, even thinking about changing the name to change topics, but she kept drawing blanks. Her mind kept returning to her meeting with Danny Phantom and replaying the their talk in her head.
"You ghouls remember the interview?" Spectra reached from her notepad. Flipping through the pages, she went through the interview questions with subsequent answers that followed.
All while she played the recording between herself and Phantom.
"Why are you fighting other ghosts?"
"They started it and someone has to protect this town."
"What do you mean?"
"Look. I can see you're friendly, but most of the ghosts that come here are not. Some just mess with me personally."
"I see. And what makes you think the ghosts are to cause trouble?"
"It's either that or attention. Most of the time, it's punch first, ask questions never."
"How long have you been doing this?"
"I can't say for sure. Months at least. Maybe a year. I wanna say I started in April? No that can't be right."
"Ok. So according to the Ghost Zone, you are half-ghost. Care to comment on what's that like—"
Spectra stopped the tape there. Hitting the rewind button, that last statement was replayed repeatedly without pause.
While Phantom was kind enough to humor the interview, he never said anything about his human half. How he lived. Who his friends were. What his favorite hobbies were.
He never gave a hint.
It was almost scary for Spectra, not knowing anything. And while she had more than enough for her article, the reporter in her felt empty.
It was extremely dissatisfying with how her findings yielded nothing of importance. She had to dig deeper, until her curiosity was sated, for now.
Plus, journalism was always about more than bringing details into focus. It was about discovering what could be a greater truth, such as a seemingly mysterious person's unknown story. This was no excuse for anything to not investigate further down the rabbit hole.
Spectra could feel it in her ectoplasm. She just needed more time.
The school speakers came to life as bats flew out, and the headmistress's voice heard in an authoritative and calm manner.
"Attention, students! Would everyone please make their way to the vampitheater for a special announcement!"
Hey there. BeConFuzzled Writer here with an important announcement. I know it's been two months since the last update. However, due to issues here and there, which I will let Jay explain, Halloween, Hopes, and Screams will be on hiatus. As time goes on, we will keep you posted. Thank you and have a nice day.
Salutations and my full Greetings to all the Readers of this Fanfic Story! This JTAF here appearing with BCFW, hoping that all of you are having a wonderful Spring Season with all of your loved ones. Like my fellow Collaborator just said, we both have a Special message to you all that will greatly effect "Halloween, Hopes, & Screams" as we move forward. You the reason why this chapter took so much time to get done is because I had been dealing with depression for a long time and I'm recently been talking to a therapist to help me better myself. Which is much easier this than done. However, this doesn't mean that "Halloween, Hope's & Screams" will be canceled anytime soon. If anything, we will update this Fanfic Story Collaboration whenever we can, instead of promising on fixated time frame. We(especially I) know that this might disappoint some fans and readers, but we hope that you will understand that most Fanfiction writers have responsibilities outside of their stories that will usually revolve around their home life, families and their own mental health. Again Please note, this Fanfic Story in being put on hold for now. Not Canceled.

Thanks. Hope all is well.
Thanks. Also, How are you going to use a Fanfic with whatever you're doing?
Invader Johnny:
To Spectra, a ghoul's gotta do what a ghoul's gotta do.
Why would you think gore would get involved in this Fanfic? Please remember that this Fanfic Story is rated "T".
Jebest4781:
Thanks
Thank You. :)
LockAndKey989:
I was getting tired of writing Danny where girls think he's hot when that's more interpretive between people. Wanted some funnier too.
You can thank BCFW for that part. Also, to answer your question: That has yet to be decided.
Njistar:
We can't wait either!
Thanks, so are we.
RonaldM40196867:
Correct. According to some speculation, Penelope Spectra kept more to the human realm. Turf wars can be common in some parts of the Ghost Zone, which is why Spectra thought they were extending into the human realm. Pointdexter was one of the ghosts Spectra could approach without worry of harm, but his limited experience did not provide much besides the term halfa. Gotcha.
I'm not sure if the first 9 were questions or statements, so I'll just be answering the last 3 with actual question marks.
1. She came to that conclusion with the limited information that she gathered.
2. Before deciding to travel towards AmityPark.
3. I'm fully aware of that.
Luiz4200:
Yeah...about that...sorry. Not really. Monsters keep to themselves.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I think Monster High also calls Jocks, Jocks. Also Monster High's Jocks are definitely nicer that Casper High's Jocks. Lastly, I'm not sure...yet.
Okami2312:
Since all ghost mainly cause trouble, not really.
In his defense, most ghosts(or supernatural creatures) try to cause trouble in his hometown. Which usually means he's the one who has to deal with them. Also this was the first time meeting other monster aside from ghosts.
Viverosjr26:
Yeah :( I was updating to announce the hiatus, but Jay said to update the story with the announcement. That's on me.
I'll let BCFW explain that.
Simm36:
Gracias!
Thanks.
Guest(1):
Yeah...that's on me. Check what I said to Viverosjr26.
I'll let BCFW explain that.
Guest(2):
I know of the special, but right now, I got other fics to take care off.
I'm not sure if I understand your question. Could you please rephrase it in your next review?
Soggy Fysher Woods:
Not really.
I Absolutely LOVE Monster High G2! :) XD
It's arguably my favorite version, aside from the original. I've seen both their movies and Tv show, but I haven't read their books yet. It really saddens me that there aren't more people aware of Monster High G2 existence. It was such an underrated and brief point in Monster High's history.(or Hisssstory)
