I would have loved to jump on Jacob right then and there in front of everyone. I hated Jasper when he controlled my emotions. Carlisle was talking at me in my mind to stay calm and not make a mistake. There were too many humans around.

I focused on the two of them and listened to every word.

He kissed me again on the forehead and then congratulated Edward.

Next up was the Cullen family, Alice first, of course.

Jasper just shook my hand and said, "Welcome to the family."

It was Emmett's turn now. He first congratulated Edward.
