Three doting and stressed out father's were trying to put their kids to bed their names were Hiroshi Inaba, Inugami the Dog Demon and Kokkuri the Fox Spirit
"Oye Lovette get to your bed" Kokkuri said trying to catch the youngest of their 3 rambunctious children Hiroshi's red haired daughter "gotta catch me first papa Ko" Lovette said snickering
Inugami and Hiroshi were trying to look for the fox cub "Fennec?" Hiroshi called out as the white haired fox boy appeared out of nowhere
"yes papa Hiro" Fennec said making Hiroshi scream in fright startled at his sudden appearance while Inugami looked for his cub "Binx" Inugami called out as he was looking everywhere
The small black haired dog demon with purple eyes bit onto Inugami's arm as he's lifted up making him turn back into his human form
The kids ran around them as Hiroshi, Kokkuri and Inugami chased them around the house but these kids were very clever and mischievous
Lovette, Fennec and Binx found a way to make their 3 fathers knock into each other as they fell while the triplets run around them
"You kids are too Rambunctious" Hiroshi said with a sigh as he fell on his knees feeling exhausted "I hope Rayne guys home soon" Inugami whimpered
"For once I agree with you both on this mess...they listen to Rayne better than they do us" Kokkuri said as the children kept running around playing
A sliding door opened and a woman with shoulder length black hair walked in "I'm home" Rayne called out as the adopted older sibling Kohina went to greet her
"Welcome home Oka'san" Kohina said with a stoic face (mother in Japanese) Rayne closed the door as she held groceries in her hands
"Have your younger siblings been giving them all trouble" Rayne said as she heard running in the house making her sigh "they haven't been able to calm them down" Kohina said
"Let me guess, you just stood and watched the chaos unfold didn't you" Rayne said giving Kohina a deadpan look "yes" Kohina admitted shamelessly
Rayne sighed and got out of her shoes putting on her house slippers "alright I'll deal with them" Rayne said as she walked over to the living room area to see the 3 fathers all tuckered out
"Pups front and center" Rayne said calmly making the children stop running around and stand in front of her their tails wagging rapidly in excitement at the sight of their mother
Kokkuri spotted their wife Rayne with the Rambunctious pups "Rayne your back" Kokkuri said tiredly "you guys get some rest I'll put the kids to bed ok" Rayne said
"Thank you" Kokkuri, Inugami and Hiroshi said in unison as they pass out on each other while Rayne takes the 3 kids to their shared room
"Are you guys trying to cause trouble...why must you give your fathers such a hassle all the time" Rayne said as she sighed shaking her head with a smile on her face
"It's not our fault they can't keep up with our energy" Lovette said laying on her bed "they don't understand we're hyper" Binx said "and young" Fennec said
Rayne looked at them all exasperated "good grief..." she said rubbing her brows tiredly "mama...how did you meet our Papa's anyway" Fennec asked
"You triplets are so much trouble all the time...but...if you want to hear the story I suppose I could tell you" Rayne said as she sat in her chair one leg crossed over the other
"Mind you, after I finish this story I expect you all to fall asleep and treat your fathers with more respect ok" Rayne said in a slightly scolding tone
"Ok mama" the 3 triplet pups exclaim in unison as they get themselves tucked into bed ready to hear the story of how Rayne met their father's
"Are you sure you kids want to hear this story...you might find it boring" Rayne said jokingly "huh...no" Binx said "we want a story" Fennec said "story, story, story" Lovette cheered
Rayne chuckled leaning back in her chair a hand leaning against her cheek "alright I'll tell you guys but I want your full attention ok" Rayne said
The triplets nodded as Rayne cleared her throat and began to tell the story [Rayne- it was a beautiful night just like this one I was starting my Detective career]
