[Rayne- I was about 20 around the time I met your father Hiroshi and 21 when I met Kokkuri and Inugami] Rayne said as she starts the story

Rayne was walking down the street with her hands in her pockets "I don't get why I have to go and pair up at another Detective agency" Rayne said with a sigh

Flashback...

"Huh...you want me to go to the Inaba Detective Agency?" Rayne said crossing her arms with a skeptical expression on her face

"Don't look at me like that...if worse comes to worse you can always come back, but for the time being I think you'll enjoy it..." the chief said

The chief then whispered under his breath so Rayne wouldn't hear "I definitely know you'll like it since you have a Dog Ear Obsession" not knowing she heard what he had said making her confused

"Good grief" Rayne said with a sigh as she found the Inaba Agency and walked inside only to almost get hit with a rice cooker which she had dodged before it could hit her

"The hell..." Rayne sighed as she looked over recognizing Kuniharu Ogino from the police force "What do you mean your pairing me up with another Detective" the red haired Hiroshi said to Ogino as he didn't notice Rayne yet

Rayne's eyes widen and her heart pounded in her chest 'my first soulmate and he's got...fluffy dog ears!' Rayne thought to herself as her face darkened

"The Detective your being paired up with is a good friend of mine...they won't disappoint" Ogino said doing a thumbs up as Yuta and Kei watch from the sidelines "like hell I'm ok with it" Hiroshi growled

Kei Nozaki was the first to notice Rayme who had her arms crossed and face darkened Yuta Sasaki was the second to notice "I don't want a partner to pair up with I bet he's boring" Hiroshi said childishly

Rayne had gotten behind Hiroshi who was sitting on the couch without him noticing making Ogino fall silent as he noticed Rayne behind Hiroshi

Hiroshi noticed the sudden silence "Boring huh" a voice sounded from behind him as his red dog ears are suddenly pinched softly making him lay sideways on the sofa as he makes a relaxed face as Rayne kept rubbing his dog ears

"Now look who's falling like putty" Rayne said with an amused chuckle as Hiroshi turned to face her and almost choked when he felt his heart pounding in his chest

[Lovette- hah dad immediately ate his words when he saw mom] she said confidently making Fennec and Binx nod in unison

Hiroshi's inner wolf was calling out mate "you have some nice fluffy ears" Rayne said as she kept rubbing them making Hiroshi feel total bliss

"Hiroshi Inaba this is your new partner Rayne Draconia" Ogino said as Hiroshi looked at Rayne who stopped rubbing his ears

"like that idiot Ogino said my name is Rayne" She said nonchalantly like she wasn't just pinching Hiroshi dog ears just a moment ago

Kei and Yuta thought Hiroshi was going to yell at her to go away but to their surprise "glad to have you on board with us" Hiroshi said totally smitten by Rayne as he shakes her hand

"Glad to be here" Rayne said with a charming smile on her face "well, now that your all acquainted with each other I'll go ahead and take my leave" Ogino said as he got up and went out the door

Later...

"I'm sorry if I offended you with my words I was just a bit frustrated about the sudden news that's all" Hiroshi said apologetically making Rayne smile slightly

"That's fine don't worry about it Inaba~San" Rayne said as he suddenly grabbed hold of her hands "you can call me Hiroshi" he said dreamily making Rayne sweatdrop while Yuta and Kei were dumbfounded

'Hiroshi was going to let her call him by his first name...did this girl somehow cast a spell on him' Kei thought to himself in shock

Little did Yuta and Kei know that Hiroshi was genuinely in love with her because of one of the 3 soulmarks on her wrist
