She couldn't get his face out of her mind — his drawn features and his sad eyes — because she knew that seeing her with Thomas had done something to him, he was upset, and she could see a hint of jealousy in his eyes when the architect had put his hand on her arm. God, she had finally found someone good, someone she was happy with, and she couldn't help but blame herself for being heartbroken over Harvey.

«Are you alright?»

«What?»whispered Donna.

«You seem a bit lost»

«Oh, no, no. Don't worry, I'm fine»

«I'm glad. What about tonight? You have an idea for a restaurant?»

«I thought we could go to my place. What do you think?»

«Sure»

Right then, while her mind was invaded by images of Harvey, she didn't feel like going to a candlelit dinner where she would have to spend hours making conversation, so the idea of going to her place to quickly find herself in front of the television with Thomas seemed like a good idea. Once at her place, she invited him to settle in the couch while she cooked, wanting to be alone in the kitchen, until serving and eating a plate of pasta, leaving Thomas to carry the conversation throughout the entire evening. She excused herself once again to go the kitchen to do the dishes, refusing that he help her, while the architect answered some emails on his phone in the meantime. The moment she joined him, he approached, took her hand to caress it, and whispered a few inches from her face.

«Are you sure you're okay? You look elsewhere»

«I'm fine, I swear. I just had a lot at work, and I really need to take my mind off things»

«I can help you with that»

Seeing the desire in Thomas' eyes, she quickly changed her strategy. As dirty as she felt at that moment, she realized that with sex, he would be focused on something else and stop asking her questions. So she threw herself on his lips, letting him touch her and take her to her bed where they had sex only once — where Donna faked the orgasm — before he fell asleep next to her while the redhead was staring at the ceiling with the urge to throw up. She liked Thomas, he was a good guy with whom she felt loved and safe, but she was missing that madness, that passion, and that little thing that made him not… him, and Donna hated herself for thinking like that. If Thomas took her to nice restaurants, Harvey did too, but he always chose the most luxurious ones, and she knew that he paid the staff a little more to make sure that all the waiters would be devoted to the redhead. Thomas surprised her with flowers and gifts, but Harvey took her shopping, buying her everything she wanted and choosing the outfits to try on because he knew what she liked and what would suit her. Thomas was attentive and cute, but Harvey would kill himself for Donna. And sex.. Donna wasn't the type to make it a primary criterion in a relationship, but sex with Thomas was always good and gentle, but with Harvey, it only happened once, and yet, she would never forget the way he had made sure she came several times before taking care of him, how he had spent hours tasting her body, making her moan, and kissing her so passionately that she was chocking for lack of air. She missed that passion she knew with Harvey, and even if they weren't together, now that she was with Thomas and the lawyer had seen them, she was going to lose the little she has left because of the distance that Harvey was going to impose. She was good with Thomas, but was she ready to give up a well-ordered life for the passion and ardor of a man who had rejected her for thirteen years? She wasn't sure. As a thousand thoughts raced through her mind, she finally fell asleep before fleeing her apartment to get some air first hour in the morning, leaving Thomas asleep in her bed. Aside from a call and a few texts, she hadn't heard from her boyfriend, and it was better that way. For Harvey, it was the same, the two of them hadn't seen each other until the evening when they found themselves in the lawyer's office arguing.

«You lost faith in me. For all the time that we have been together, that has never happened»

«Harvey, if there's anyone in the world I have faith in, it's you»

Then Hardman came into the office, had threatened Harvey, and left the office, announcing that he was going to pay for breaking privilege. Donna could see how badly Harvey wanted to explode, trashing his entire office, and, as she was about to talk to him, he quickly passed by her without a glance, breaking the redhead's heart. She had been all over the firm but he was nowhere to be found, but the idea of leaving without making sure he was okay was impossible for the redhead, so seeing that he had left all his stuff in his office, she decided to wait there, ignoring Thomas' calls, much too preoccupied with the lawyer. Nearly an hour later, when the floor was now silent, she heard footsteps in the distance and hurriedly got up until she saw Harvey enter the office.

«What are you doing here?»

«Did you think I was going to leave you alone after what Hardman told you?»

«Of course you would. Come on, I understood that I was fading into the background at the moment»

«Harvey, stop»

«Why? Isn't true?»

«You know it's not. We're... bestfriends»

«No, we're not. Two best friends don't fuck and have jealous fits when the other is in a relationship»

«Harvey, stop»

«Why? Because I'm telling the truth? Come on, go home. Your perfect and devoted boyfriend is probably waiting for you, where you can spend a perfect evening with this fucking asshole»

«Take that back»

They were busy yelling now, and if there was anyone else in the firm left, no matter where, she was sure they could hear them. She knew some of what Harvey said was true, they were close, best friends for sure, but that wasn't what really united them, there was way more. While she thought Harvey would apologize or leave, she didn't expect him to retort, anger present on his face.

«Never»

«What?»

«I'll never take back what I just said. You come to piss me off, saying you don't want to leave me alone when you didn't hesitate to betray me by banging a client, a guy who works with the firm»

«So it's about Thomas?»

«Of course it's about Thomas. You're just a fucking selfish woman, you've always made exceptions for everyone but me, and then, when I'm with a woman, you force me to separate»

«I never forced you to do anything»

«Of course you did, you fucking left me, I had no choice but choosing you, again and again»

«I never asked you to leave her»

«No, but you ask me to stand up for me; it's exactly the same»

«You didn't even love Paula, what are you talking about?»

«Oh, because you love Thomas?»

«It's none of your business, and even then, you have the nerve to say that I made exceptions for everyone except you when for years I've seen you fuck everything and anything while I just waited in front of your office for you to open your eyes, and— »

«That's because I couldn't fuck you»

As he had just shouted this last sentence, the room that had until now plunged into chaos was dead silent, the only sound was the one of their rapid and deep breathing, as during the argument, they had gotten closer to the point of finding themselves a few inches from each other. Without even thinking, the sexual tension being palpable in the office, in a second, Donna's hands were around his neck, Harvey's ones were on the redhead's ass, as they kissed like never before, the lawyer biting the COO's lower lip until he could taste blood on his tongue before sliding it inside her mouth. They were hot, so hot, and as they continued to kiss passionately, Harvey gripped Donna's ass even harder to lift her up and have her wrap her legs around his waist. Without further ado, he moved forward until her back collided with the cold glass of his office's windows and Harvey's legs hit the edge, the lawyer facing the New York skyline. He then removed one hand from her ass to lift the redhead's dress up to her waist, Donna moaning as the cool air hit her bare skin, clad only in her thong, while Harvey dug his fingers into the flesh of her ass with a moan. As they were about to explode, Harvey used both hands to grind their crotches together, hoping that the friction between the thong and his dress pants would ease the tension between them, but it was even worse. They needed more, more, and more, and while her thong was soaking wet, with Harvey's help, she managed to fumble between their legs to open his button and pull down his fly so she could finally slide her hand into his boxers and feel his heavy length between her fingers. She missed it, she missed him, she was crazy about him, and there was no point in denying that. As he stiffened at the feeling of her caressing him in his boxers, he pulled her hand away to plunge his own and take it out. It's been a long time, well, he'd broken up with Paula a few months ago, hadn't had any flings since, and even then, sex with the therapist was almost nonexistent, and when it was, it was never passionate. As he continued to stroke himself with one hand, he used his body to hold the redhead against the window and push her thong to the side with his other hand. The moment she felt him rub against her entrance, Donna moaned into his mouth while tightening the grip of her arms around his neck. In a split second, he was inside her, pounding her hard, not even giving her time to get used to the intrusion, completely crazy to find these sensations again after almost thirteen years, feeling like he had been abstinent ever since. As Donna shivered between the sensation of the back and forth between her legs, Harvey, who did not stop biting and licking the salty skin of her neck, and the coldness of the glass against her ass with each collision with the material, Donna could have come right away. She could also feel her hands slipping, the lawyer's neck was now soaked while he grunted with each thrust and moaned as soon as she licked the beads of sweat that appeared on his neck to then kiss him passionately, the salty taste mixing on their tongues with their saliva. She couldn't have said how long they were busy, but when she felt her legs stiffen and her stomach tighten, she exploded, sinking her teeth into the lawyer's neck as she came hard. Just when she thought it was over, that he was going to — or not — pull out and leave, she was surprised to feel him put her back on the ground, spinning her around quickly before pushing on the top of her back so that she leaned over, her ass popped out, raised thanks to her high heels, both hands on the cold glass while her chest almost touched the window sill. He then quickly pulled her dress up even more, up to her waist, before taking off his suit jacket, hooking a finger to her thong to push it to the side again before being reunited again in a loud moan. He continued to pound her hard, his comings and goings less and less precise and regular while he did not stop moaning, a noise that she had never heard before from him, the redhead being out of breath as she felt that she was close again. It had only taken a few circular movements between her folds with his finger for her to explode again, contracting around Harvey again, who came in turn in a loud noise. For a few seconds, neither of them said anything; the redhead now slumped on the windowsill, her wet forehead against the cold window, Harvey still inside of her, while both of them were breathing with difficulty, their clothes sticking to their skin. After god knows how long, the lawyer pulled out of her and put her thong and then her dress back in place before she straightened up, still facing away from him, still disturbed by everything that had just happened, until she felt Harvey's lips against her bare shoulder and his hot breath on her skin as he murmured.

«I'm so sorry»

Suddenly, it hit her: Thomas. She had just had sex with Harvey in his office without thinking that her boyfriend was waiting for news from her, and at that moment, she just wanted to throw up. Without even a word or a look, she ran out of Harvey's office, tears in her eyes, to quickly grab her things and leave the office to go home. Meanwhile, Harvey quickly put his dick back in his boxers before standing there like an idiot, realizing what had just happened while he was in the middle of his office, his shirt sticking to his skin, his pants still open and slightly lowered, as well as the marks of Donna's teeth on his neck. He couldn't believe it, he was exactly like Bobby, in less than a second, he became the other man, and right now, he had no idea what to think anymore. He loved Donna like no one else, and he wanted to spend his life with her, so yeah, seeing her with Thomas broke his heart, but to the point of having sex with her while they were still together? He couldn't believe he did that. So after he had regained his senses, he got dressed, put on his jacket, and grabbed his phone and wallet before walking home, hoping that the fresh air would clear his mind. As for Donna, as soon as she got home, she undressed before silently crying at the state of her body. Her crotch was red, the lawyer's fingerprints stood out on her thighs and ass, the bite mark on her shoulder was deep, and the hickeys were already starting to turn purple. As she continued her observation, she was startled by the sound of her phone ringing. Seeing her boyfriend's name, she just wanted to throw up.

«Hello?»

«Hey, Donna. I tried calling you but I didn't get an answer»

«Sorry, I was still at work»

«I understand. I know it's late, but do you want to come by my place?»

«Thomas, Um, look, I don't feel well»

«Is everything alright?»

«Yeah, it's probably a germ… it'll be over in a few days»

«Do you want me to come by?»

«No. I mean, I don't want to contaminate you, but I'll keep you informed»

«Alright. Well, I'm waiting to hear from you»

«Of course, see you, Thomas»

«See you, Donna. Get well soon»

As soon as she hung up, she started crying while heading to her bathroom to get into the shower, hoping that the burning water on her skin would erase all traces of this passionate moment with the lawyer. Once her skin was red and painful from having rubbed so hard on it, she drank a leftover bottle of white wine in her fridge before falling asleep. For his part, Harvey had gone home, changed himself, then went running in the streets of New York for hours until he threw up because of having pushed in the effort, and after a few glasses of whiskey, he tried to fall asleep, the moans of the redhead playing on a loop in his head. The next day, if Harvey wanted to find her to apologize, he was surprised to find her nowhere and hurried to call out to Louis, who was passing by.

«Louis, hey»

«Harvey?»

«Hum, have you seen Donna?»

«She has been on business meeting all morning. Now, I have no idea, but she replied to one of my emails half an hour ago, so I suppose she's working. Did you try to call her?»

«No, but it's alright»

«You need something? Maybe I can help you with»

«It's fine, don't worry. I have to go anyway»

After that day, it was like mission impossible to come across the redhead. He tried to call her several times, but she never answered. He didn't dare go to her place for fear that he would find Thomas in her apartment while he almost never ran into her at the firm either, and when that happened, she would arrive last at the meetings, when he was already seated and everyone was in the room, and would rush to leave as soon as it was over, never to find herself alone with him again. For Donna, the days after her moment with Harvey, she had no desire to see him, him reminding her how awful she was. At the same time, she had Thomas, who spent his days calling or texting her to see if she was doing better. So after a week, when she had managed to avoid the lawyer and the marks on her body had more or less disappeared, she finally answered Thomas when he called her.

«Hey, how are you doing?»

«Better. I'm still a bit weak, but I'm getting better»lied Donna.

«I'm glad. How about pizza at my place?»

«That's sweet, Thomas, but do you mind if we go to the restaurant? I need to go out»

I need to be in a public space because I won't be able to be alone with you when the traces of another man are still on my body.

«Sure. Filaga Pizzeria?»

«Works for me»

«I join you at your place?»

« Oh, I have a lot to do at work, I'll join you there »

«Perfect. I can't wait to see you then»

«Bye, Thomas»

As soon as she hung up, she sighed. She lied again, she has nothing to do at the firm, in fact, she had found the trick to not set foot there, alternating between outside meetings and teleworking, only having to go to the office for meetings between partners, where she did everything to be in the same room as Harvey as little as possible. She could see how he looked at her, a mixture of pain, remorse, and desire in his eyes while she stared ahead, pretending he wasn't there, running away whenever she had the opportunity, his cologne suffocating her. She still had two hours before she had to go back to her appointment. She started to cover the remaining hickey and the marks of his hands on her hips because, even if she wasn't going to sleep with Thomas tonight — she couldn't — she didn't want to take the risk that he would see it. Once she was pretty well camouflaged, she left her apartment to go to the pizzeria, where Thomas was already waiting for her with a big smile.

«Hey»

«Hey»

As he quickly put his lips on Donna's, the redhead could feel the acid rising in her esophagus.

«Shall we go?»

«Sure»

«Alright»

For almost an hour, they chatted about everything and nothing, especially Thomas, while she tried to forget that she was a cheater. In the middle of the meal, as she rearranged herself in her chair for the fifteenth time, Thomas laughed.

«Hey, I know these aren't the most ergonomic chairs, but are they that bad?»

«What? No, no, it's just that my lower back hurts»

«Well, it's a common problem for people who work in offices, you should see a physiotherapist»

«That must be it, yes»

She knew very well why her lower back hurt, Harvey had pushed so hard on it while pounding hard inside her, causing almost a right angle with her back, that after a week, her body had not recovered from so much passion and fire in such a short time. Not wanting to drop the bomb right now, she simply smiled before changing the subject. Once finished, Thomas walked Donna home, and as he looked at her with a tender gaze while caressing her hand, the redhead just wanted to die. In front of her building, he approached to kiss her as she turned her head, and his lips found themselves on her cheek instead. As he was about to place a second one on her neck, he heard Donna whisper in his ear.

«I had sex with Harvey»

Hurriedly, he straightened up to look at the redhead, tears running down her cheeks, her eyes opening slowly as her lower lip trembled.

«I'm so sorry, Thomas»

«When?»

«So you were never sick»

«I'm so sorry»

«I can't believe it. I always knew that between you two, things were special, but we were good together, and I thought that — what an idiot»

«Thomas, it happened once, it was a mistake, and— »

«— it still happened, Donna»

«I'm so sorry»

«Not as much as I am»

Without another word, Thomas left her alone on the sidewalk, tears flowing uncontrollably, while she went home to cry herself to sleep, thankful that it was Friday night and she could stay cooped up in her apartment for the next two days. Monday came, and Donna continued to alternate between outside meetings and telework, only crossing paths with Harvey when necessary, while the lawyer tried by all means to reconnect with the one he loved, but without success, as the lawyer was slowly perishing. The days passed, and while Donna was in the elevator, ready to go down, she saw a hand interposed between the doors, forcing them to reopen before gasping and stepping back into the back of the elevator shaft when she saw Harvey.

«Hey»

«I don't want to talk to you, Harvey»

«It's been weeks, don't you think we have to talk about it?»

«No, we don't. I can't even look at myself in the mirror anymore because of what we did that night»

«You don't think I blame myself too?»

«I don't give a shit what you think. You didn't cheat on anyone, while I betrayed my boyfriend by sleeping with you. Twice per se»

«Donna, I — »

«Leave me alone»

At the same time, the elevator doors opened on the ground floor while Donna escaped at the first opportunity, leaving the lawyer alone. Days passed while Harvey continued to call her and try to stop her at the office, but without success. He still didn't dare go to her place because, when they had argued in the elevator, she had talked about boyfriend, it meant that they were still together and that she didn't break up with him or else that Thomas had forgiven her. As sad as it made Harvey to know that he had lost her forever, he wanted at least just to see her without her giving him the cold shoulder. But apparently, that seemed impossible. Days turned into weeks, and it had been two months since that night and five weeks since they had spoken to each other, plunging them both into an intense sadness. One morning, when Donna reluctantly woke up, she rushed to the bathroom to throw up her entire meal from the night before into the bottom of the bowl. God, she really needs to start cooking herself again and stop the food delivery, it was making her sick. But as she woke up for the third time to throw up, she started to cry as she realized what was happening. It was as if the universe had decided to punish her, and as she began to consider the different options, only one would keep her from finding herself in a compromising situation. She then rushed to the store to buy several pregnancy tests. She went home and drank a whole bottle of water before pacing around the living room, waiting for the urge to pee to come. Alright, she had three solutions. The first, the one she would prefer, was that it was a false alarm, that her late period and morning sickness were only related to the stress of the last few days and that she was not pregnant. Second, she was more than eight weeks pregnant; the baby was Thomas's, with whom she was no longer but with whom she could have a serious discussion. And third, she was eight weeks pregnant, and this baby could be her ex's or the man she loved passionately, in this case, one or the other was a disaster. So, after peeing on the three sticks, she waited with stress for her phone to tell her that it was time to look. Part of her really hoped she wasn't pregnant, that she wouldn't end up in this situation and ruin Thomas' or Harvey's lives by imposing unwanted paternity on them, but on the other hand, she had always wanted a baby and had been coveting motherhood for years now, so having a baby from Harvey or Thomas wasn't the worst thing she could have. Lost in her thoughts, the alarm rang and the redhead's breath hitched.

Pregnant

Shit. She was pregnant, and her life was about to change forever. If she cried for a long time, feeling like she was at the end of her life, she decided to move on to the next step. How far was she? Again, part of her hoped she was more than eight weeks along, that she would be sure who the father was and move on with that, but on the other hand, she thought about the fact that, if it was Thomas's, she would lose Harvey forever, even if that was already the case and the baby she had always imagined would not have that typical smile that made her melt. So she took a shower, got dressed, and put on light makeup to cover her puffy eyes before heading to the nearest clinic to have a precise date of conception. For his part, Harvey arrived at work after yet another night where he hadn't really slept to hear Louis talking on the phone.

«No, no. Don't worry, Donna, I understand. We'll do that another time, enjoy today. Bye»

As soon as he hung up, Harvey entered his colleague's office before whispering.

«Was it Donna?»

«Oh, hey Harvey. Um, yeah, it was Donna. We were supposed to meet for lunch, but she's sick, so she won't be able to come»

«Sick?»

«Yeah, she took a day off»

«She never took the day off»

«Well, apparently she has a little bug that's been making her sick these last few days, so she'll come back when she feels better. Why? She didn't tell you anything?»

Louis was an excellent lawyer, but so incredulous about certain things to the point of not seeing that the two who were inseparable a few months ago were no longer speaking to each other today. As the bald man looked at him to see if he had any other questions, Harvey forced a smile before leaving his office to go to his own, trying to forget about Donna being sick.

«Donna Paulsen?»

Hearing her name, the redhead stood up. She had taken a blood test almost half an hour ago and was patiently waiting for the results, even though she knew perfectly well what the result was. Barely in the room, she would shake the doctor's hand before settling in front of her desk.

«Miss Paulsen, you're coming for a pregnancy confirmation?»

«Yes. I did three tests this morning, all positives, but just to be sure»

«You did right, and I just got your blood test result, and you're indeed pregnant»

«Alright»

Seeing the redhead's face, the doctor sighed before talking softly.

«I supposed it wasn't planned»

«No»

«Do you want to be a mother?»

«I do, I always wanted to, but I never had the opportunity»

«What about now? Because when I saw your face, I didn't have the feeling that you're that happy about the fact you're going to be a mother»smiled the woman softly.

«I cheated on my boyfriend with the man I've been in love with for almost fifteen years, and now I'm pregnant, so I don't know if it's a good thing or not. I'm a monster, right?»

«No, you're not. Every situation and couple are different. I'm not here to judge anyone; I'm just here to take care of the baby and the future mother»

«I can't believe it's happening to me»

«Do you plan to keep this baby?»

«Yes»

«Alright. I guess what you're interested in is knowing the date of conception»

«Exactly»

«Alright, the blood test gives us indications that aren't precise enough. I suggest we do a fetal ultrasound to date the exact date of conception. Do you want to see the screen?»

«Yeah»

«Alright, settle in»

While the redhead lay down on the examination table and the doctor set up the equipment, the woman spoke to her in a soft voice.

«Do you mind if I ask a question?»

«Of course»

«What's going to happen now? I'm talking about the potential father?»

«I have no idea. I have affection for one, I'm madly in love with the other, and whether this baby is from one or the other, it will change everything for me»

«In what way?»

«Well, I know my ex-boyfriend will step up and be a good father because he's a good guy, but it will destroy Harvey, I mean, the one I'm in love with, because he won't be able to stand the thought of me having a baby with someone else. And if that baby is his, I'm afraid it will drive us apart because I'm not convinced he's ready to be a father since he has a crazy background with his own family»

«Does this Harvey love you too?»

« Well, that's the million-dollar question. We've known each other since we were kids; we're the most important people in each other's lives, and we've always played this dangerous game ever since then. But I worked for him, he needed me, he preferred me as his secretary rather than as his partner in life, as he was too scared to lose me, but he's always acting jealous whenever I have a boyfriend because I'm his, just as much as he's mine. The guy is driving me crazy »

«And what is the probability he's the father?»

«Not high. We only had sex once»

«How long ago?»

«Eight weeks»

«So if you're more than eight weeks pregnant — »

«— It's from my ex»

«Alright, let's see then»

For a few seconds, the doctor indicated what she was going to do while Donna tried to hold back her tears until the woman began and the redhead started to cry seeing the tiny baby inside her belly. She couldn't believe it, she was pregnant. After all these years of hoping to one day be a mother, it was finally happening, even if the circumstances were complicated, she was happy. After some explanations, she saw the doctor looking at her with a sorry smile while Donna sobs.

«I'm eight weeks pregnant, right?»

«Yes, eight weeks»

«Great»

«Have you always taken your pill? You never forgot?»

«No»

«And you had unprotected sex with both of them?»

«Well, Thomas and I were in a serious relationship until I fucked up, so yeah, we didn't use anything. And with Harvey, well, we didn't think, everything happened so fast... You must think I'm a slut, right?»

«No, you're not. Women do whatever they want with their sexuality, I'm no one to judge. Look, if you want, we can do a prenatal paternity test during the pregnancy»

«Is it risky for the baby? Otherwise, I don't want to, I'll see at birth»

«Well, there are three options. You can either do a NIPP test, a noninvasive prenatal paternity test where the test analyzes fetal DNA in the pregnant person's blood and a specialist analyzes trace amounts of the fetus's DNA in the blood sample and compares it to the DNA in a cheek swab from the potential non-birthing parent. It's pretty accurate and pretty safe»

«The risks?»

«Pain, bleeding, bruising, fainting, and infection»

«What about the second option?»

«Amniocentesis. Is an invasive prenatal test that can occur during your second or third trimester. I will use a thin needle to take a sample of the amniotic fluid, and then I'll compare the sample to the cheek swab DNA of the potential non-birthing parent»

«And I suppose there are also risks?»

«They are rare, but yeah, miscarriage or premature labor»

«And the last one?»

«CVS. Pretty much the same as amniocentesis but instead of take a sample of amniotic fluid, we take a sample of chorionic villi cells from placenta. The risks are the same»

«I have to think about it. I'm thirty-eight, I don't think I'll have the opportunity to be pregnant again in the future. I must think wisely first»

«Of course, I understand. Take your time»

«Alright»

«Anyway, like I told you, your baby is healthy and developing well. I can already schedule a second ultrasound for the eighteenth week. If, in the meantime, you have any questions, problems, changes of mind, or anything, don't hesitate. If you want to do a paternity test in the meantime, you can always come before, no problem»

«Thank you, doctor»

«You're welcome And Miss Paulsen? Everything will be alright»

«I hope… Thanks»

After greeting the doctor, Donna left the private clinic before looking at the time. An hour, and she still hadn't eaten, and she was starting to get hungry, especially since she had thrown up all her breakfast and was obviously eating for two now. She decided to go home, stopping on the way at an organic cafe to find something to eat, checking the foods that could be eaten or not before opting for a salad and settling in a corner of the room. She took advantage of being alone to take out the ultrasound and observe her baby for a few seconds with a smile on her lips. The situation was shitty, but she was going to be a mom, finally, she'll have someone who will always be with her, that she can love with all her heart without embarrassment and shame, not like she couldn't do with Harvey all these years, and she may have found her soulmate with this baby.

«Donna?»

Hearing the voice, the redhead stiffened as she recognized the male voice she hadn't heard in seven weeks.

«Thomas»

«Don't tell me this ultrasound is yours»

«I —»

«No way»

«I'm sorry»

«When did you plan on telling me we were having a baby?»

Seeing the redhead's face, the architect nervously chuckled before whispering.

«This baby is Harvey's»

«No»

«There is a third man involved?»

«What? No? It's just — »

«It's just what?»

«I don't know yet. I'm eight weeks pregnant, I don't know who the father is yet. It could be you or Harvey»

«Great»

«Yeah»

«Are you ever going to tell me if I'm concerned or not?»

«I have to take a paternity test, but —»

«But what?»

«There are risks»

«Donna, I need to know. If it's my child, I'll be there for them even if we're never going to be together again. But there is no way I'm going to raise a kid that is not mine»

«I understand»

«But that doesn't change anything between us»

«I know Thomas»

«So you keep me in touch?»

«Of course»

«Alright. Well, hum, see you?»

«See you, Thomas»

As soon as the architect left, Donna decided to go home too, her eyes filled with tears as she felt even worse and lost. On the other side of Manhattan, Harvey passed by the redhead's office for the fifteenth time, his heart clenching at seeing her absent, missing her terribly for almost two months now. To try to forget her, he immersed himself in work from morning to night, sleeping little and only thanks to alcohol, before starting again the next day and the next day, simply waiting for things to work out between them. While Louis had told him that Donna had taken a day off because she was sick, which never happened, Harvey had already sent a dozen text messages without ever having a response. He was surprised to hear his door close and see the tall man in front of him.

«Thomas»

«Harvey»

«If you're looking for Louis, he's— »

«I'm here for you, and you know why»

«She told you?»

«What do you think? Of course she told you, don't you have any shame?»

«I'm not the only one to blame; she was also participating as me»

«You're an asshole. I hope for this kid's sake that you're not the father»

Facing Thomas' words, Harvey gasped, not expecting to hear that at all. Not being sure he understood, he whispered.

«What?»

«She didn't tell you? I'm not surprised, but yeah, she's pregnant»

«She's pregnant?»

«She is»

«Thomas, are you sure?»

«I saw her with an ultrasound in her hands today, she told me it was hers. Anyway, she's eight weeks long and since she told me it happened once with you, there is more chance this kid will be mine than yours. Anyway, it's for the best, but since she acted like a slut and had sex with both of us, we don't know»

Without even warning, Harvey drove his fist into the architect's jaw, who recoiled with the impact, and if he thought he was going to fight back, he was surprised to see Thomas leaving Harvey's office as the lawyer felt like he was dying following his words. As he realized what the architect had just said, he ran to the bathroom, where he vomited for a few minutes, the words Donna, pregnant, and child running in a loop in his head. He couldn't believe it, he might become a father in a few months. Without even realizing it, he found himself in front of the redhead's door, pounding on the door until she opened it, her eyes red from crying.

«Harvey, what are you doing here?»

«You're pregnant»

«What?»

«Tell me he lied to me»

«Who told you?»

«So he was serious»

«It was Thomas, right?»

«Yeah, he came earlier at the firm»

Without even answering, she bit her lips before looking down. As she didn't know what to say, it was Harvey who spoke first.

«Can I come in?»

Without even answering him, she left the door to head towards the living room, letting Harvey close it behind him and follow her. As she sat down on the couch, Harvey took a seat on the other side before sighing.

«Thomas told me the baby could be mine»

«I'm eight weeks along, so yeah»

«Right. Um, he said that there was a better chance that this baby was his than mine since it only happened once between the two of us»

«What? No, it's fifty fifty»

«Oh. And when will you know?»

«I don't know. I can already do the paternity test now, but there are risks. I guess you'd want me to do it, but —»

«— but there are risks that you don't want to take»

«Yeah, but you want to know, right? I'm not the only one concerned; I can't only make the decision for myself»

«I would like to, yeah, but I know you always dreamed of being a mother, so I would understand that you don't want to take any risks»

«Really?»

«Donna, it's your body and your baby»

«But it could be yours too»

«Yeah»

«I'm sorry, Harvey»

At the same time, the redhead burst into tears while the lawyer's heart broke. If he didn't know what to do at first, seeing the tears running down her cheeks, her shoulders shaking, he moved until he slipped his hands under her arms and pulled her against him, finding himself a second later with Donna astride him, her arms around his shoulders, her face in his neck, her tears wetting his shirt, while Harvey's arms were around her back, gently caressing her back.

«It's going to be alright»

«I don't know»

«Of course it's going to be alright. I'm here, whatever is going to happen. It's always be you and me, whatever the shit we were facing, alright? It's going to be alright»

«Okay»

For long minutes, they stayed like that, in each other's arms, the lawyer caressing the redhead's back while swallowing hard thinking about the fact that, in the redhead's belly stuck to his at that moment, was maybe his baby, even if deep down, he was almost sure that it was Thomas's, once was not enough to get Donna pregnant, as painful as it could be. During this time, both remained silent until Harvey whispered in the redhead's ear.

«Hey?»

«What?»

«Congratulations»

Without even a response, she continued to cry louder, tightening her grip around his neck while the lawyer continued to caress her back until she fell asleep. Didn't want to wake her up, he got up slowly and walked to her bed before laying her on the mattress, covering her with the sheets before turning off the light and closing her door. He then took the opportunity to quickly tidy up her apartment before turning off the television and leaving the redhead's place to go home. That night, he drank to fall asleep once again, thinking about the situation in which the three of them found themselves and the uncertainty and fear of what would happen if this baby was his or not. The next day, the two of them went to the firm with the idea of not mentioning the baby, and as Donna went to her office, she melted when she found a bag from Target with ginger tea bags, crackers, and a little note in it.

I have no idea if you already have morning sickness, but I read that it helps. I hope it works for you.

While she smiled at the little gesture, she quickly lost it when she saw Thomas' message.

Have you scheduled a paternity test yet?

At that moment, she was praying so much that this baby was Harvey's because, in addition to telling herself that the child would be like what she had always imagined, she had the feeling that she would live this pregnancy better without the pressure of Thomas, even if it meant putting Harvey face to face with something he had never wanted. Not even taking the time to answer her ex, she rushed to the kitchen to make herself tea and start her day. It was only late in the afternoon that she met Harvey, who gave her a small, discreet smile before going into his office. The next day, it was the same thing; Harvey was attentive and discreet while Thomas sent another harsh message, then it was the same again after, and again after, and while Donna had told Thomas that she was thinking about the risk first — even if it obviously didn't matter to him — the week was coming to an end, and the redhead was happy about it. Psychologically tired of being harassed by her ex, even if a part of him was right, and of seeing Harvey glance at her belly every five seconds, fear crossed his face. The days turned into weeks, and then she was twelve weeks pregnant, her belly was starting to show as she saw Harvey one evening come into her office while the entire floor was almost deserted.

«Hey Harvey»

«Hey, how are you feeling?»

«In general or because of the baby?»

«Both»

«Well, the nausea is almost over, the problem is more about headaches and heartburn, but I avoid medications»

«Sleeping on your left side can also help»

«What?»

«Hum, it's just I read some stuff»

«Oh, alright»

«What about you in general?»

«I'm alright»

«Why does it look like you're not?»

«Well, because Thomas is pressing me to do the paternity test, even if I'm scared that something could happen to the baby while I can see you looking at me from afar with fear in your eyes, so yeah, not the easiest situation, no»

«I'm not —»

«Please, Harv, I know you more than I know myself»

«It's just that you have a bump»

«You can see it? I thought it was too soon for people to notice»

«Well, I'm not people»smiled Harvey.

«Right»giggled Donna.

As they were now face to face, Harvey ran his fingertips over the redhead's arm, causing goosebumps all the way while her breath hitched.

«Ginger tea helps?»

«Yeah»

«I'm glad. If you need anything, I'm here, alright?»

«I know»

As their faces were close, Harvey placed the hand that wasn't busy caressing her arm on her jaw before admiring her for a few seconds, memorizing every little part of her beautiful face, and as his gaze lingered on her slightly parted mouth, he couldn't help but place his lips on it, kissing it delicately, in contrast to the passionate moment of a little less than three months ago. For a few seconds, Donna let herself go, answering his kiss tenderly, sighing against his lips as he acted with such gentleness, his hand sliding into her long red hair while the other caressed her jaw with his thumb, his body pushing hers until her legs hit the edge. But the moment the kiss became a little more intense and he pressed himself against her, her bump against his abs, she broke away to push him away.

«Harvey, don't»

«What? You're still with Thomas?»

«No, I'm not, it's —»

«What's the problem, then?»

«I might be pregnant with his child»

«I know. But don't you think it's time we're facing our feelings for real?»

«What are you talking about?»

«We lost so many times already, between your rule, me being an fucking idiot, Paula, then Thomas, now we can finally be together, and —»

«— and I'm pregnant with a baby that might not be yours»

«I don't care»

«What?»

«I don't care, Donna. I'm — I'm in love with you, and if I need to be involved in this child's life even if it's not mine just to be with you, I'll do it»

«Harvey, please, you and I both know really well it's not you. You could never stand me dating another man, and now you're going to take care of a child that's mine and someone else's. It's insane»

«What's insane is that we're still not together after all these years of being in love with each other»

«Harvey, it's —»

«Look me in the eyes and tell me you don't love me»

Seeing her silent, Harvey caressed her face before kissing her again, the redhead giving in and responding to the kiss, but the moment she felt his hand on her hip, near her belly, she stopped before sighing.

«Stop»

«Donna»

«I have to go»

«Alright. See you, Donna. And call me if you need anything»

«Sure»

As she left the office, Harvey sighed. He hadn't expected to declare his love to the redhead like that, especially when she was pregnant with a baby that probably wasn't his, but still, now that he had realized he loved her, he couldn't help. After standing there in the office, he decided to go home and try to think about anything but the time he had wasted with her. Weeks passed, and while Harvey continued to notice the redhead's belly rounding out under her loose robes, they continued to circle each other, the lawyer having already kissed her several times when both of them were vulnerable, without ever putting a label on their relationship. For Donna, the pregnancy was going well, and aside from all the drama around it, she had nothing to complain about. While her next ultrasound had been scheduled a few days ago, she heard someone knocking on her door and was surprised to see the man in front of her.

«Thomas?»

«You still haven't done the test?»

«No»

«Are you having fun?»

«Thomas, can you stop?»

«Stop. Fuck, Donna, what's wrong with you? You like to have two men at your feet? That's why?»

«Stop it»

«I won't, I need to know»

«Look, Thomas, I understand, both of you deserve to know, but I'm scared something will happen and I'll lose the baby; those tests are not risk-free, and— »

«Stop finding excuse and do the test, or you can ask your sweetheart lawyer to defend you in court»

Without a word, he left the hallway while the redhead held back her tears. God, she was so sick of it; she was aware that he needed to know, but on the other hand, she was so scared. She had come to terms with the idea of becoming a mother and was so afraid of losing everything, but while Harvey was devoted on one hand, to the point of accepting everything and making their relationship fly apart, and Thomas was putting pressure on her, she just wanted to run away, her and her baby, to get away from all this shit. After taking a deep breath, she went straight to bed and thought about it for a few more days until her second ultrasound. That afternoon, as she was getting ready to leave the office, she heard Harvey talk behind her.

«Hey, are you leaving already?»

«Yeah, I have an appointment for my second ultrasound at four»

«Oh, alright»

«See you tomorrow?»

«Sure. Good evening, Donna»

A half hour later, she found herself back in the doctor's office lying on the examination table while she prepared everything necessary. As soon as the gel was on her swollen belly and the probe against her skin, Donna felt tears flow as she heard her baby's heart as the woman was pointing to the different areas of the body clearly visible on the screen.

«Well, everything is perfect, your baby is perfectly fine. Do you want to know the sex?»

«Of course»

«Alright… So, it looks like you're having a little girl»

«A girl?»

«Yeah»

Overwhelmed by her emotions, she simply nodded, pursing her lips as tears continued to stream down her cheeks. After some explanations, Donna wiped her belly before taking a seat in front of the doctor, who looked at her with a small smile to speak to her in a soft voice.

«In general, in a pregnancy follow-up file, I must have — as far as possible — information on both parents. Last time, you told me that you wanted to think about the paternity test first, where are we now?»

«I have to do it»

«You don't have to, it's not an obligation, it's up to you»

«I know, but my ex threatens to sue me if I don't do this test, and Harvey... well, he keeps telling me that he will accept this baby no matter what, whether it's his or not, when I just think he's saying that because he's afraid of losing me. Plus, Thomas went to tell him that there was more chance that this child was his since I had only slept with Harvey once, so I think he came to terms with it and is convinced that I am pregnant with Thomas' child, so he panics for that reason»

«Though situation»

«Tell me about it»

«What do you want to do?»

«The least risky»

«It'll be the NIPP test. The risks are related to where I'm going to do the puncture to take blood, it's not really a risk for a baby. Alright?»

«Alright, yeah»

«Then, we'll send the sample to the lab; they'll analyze and compare it to the DNA of the two potential fathers. We just need DNA from a cheek swab from them, do you think it'll be possible?»

«Sure, yeah»

«Alright. I'm going to do the blood test, I'll send it all to the lab. As soon as we have the DNA of our two cowboys, we'll compare, and you'll have the results in two weeks»

«Perfect»

While she was preparing everything, the doctor decided to continue talking with her patient, who she saw was tense.

«Between us, do you have a preference?»

«For what?»

«The father»

«Well, I've been imagining my children with Harvey's smile and eyes for fifteen years, so…»

«Well, if that's not love»snorted the doctor.

«Tell me about it»chuckled the redhead.

«What if it's Thomas?»

«Well, he'll be a good father, I think. He's a serious man, with his head on his shoulders, my life with him was perfect and tidy»

«But Harvey…»smiled the woman.

«It's fire and passion. He's driving me crazy. Having kids with him will be a bit more... a roller coaster because he never imagined himself as a father, but when I see how devoted he is and ready to do anything for me, I'm sure he'll be the same with this child, even if he doesn't know it yet»

«We hope it's a mini... what's his name again?»

«Specter»

«A mini-Specter, then»

«Yeah»smiled Donna as she stroked her belly with her unoccupied hand.

Once the blood test was done, the redhead thanked the doctor before leaving the clinic and stopping dead in her tracks when she saw Harvey pacing up and down the sidewalk, looking at his shoes and a huge bouquet of flowers in his hand. The man was going to be her death.

«Harv?»

«Hey, Donna»

«What are you doing here?»

«Um, I just wanted to know if you were okay, well, if everything was okay»

«Everything is fine. Yes»

«Perfect, hum, this is for you»

«Thank you, Harvey, you're adorable»

«Alright, I'll take the compliment, but you never say that in front of others»smirked the lawyer.

«Of course»

«Shall I take you home?»

«Yeah, thank you»

As soon as he sat in the back of Ray's car, Harvey intertwined his fingers with Donna's before whispering.

«Are you sure you're fine?»

«I did the paternity test today»

«What?»

«Well, I did the blood test, you two need to do a saliva test»

«Oh »

«The results will be in two weeks»

«Alright»

Feeling Harvey flexing his fingers against her palm, the redhead sighed.

«Thomas is going to do it»

«I know»

«Whatever you do it or not, we'll know anyway»

«I know»

«Alright»

The rest of the trip was in silence, with only communication, their fingers intertwined until they arrived at the redhead's apartment, where Harvey placed a kiss on the corner of her mouth to wish her goodnight. When Donna had told Thomas that she had done the test, the architect had gone that same evening to do a saliva test to send it to the lab while she had not heard from Harvey during all this time, and she did not ask him either. Ten days after her blood test, she stopped dead in the hallway when she saw a courier with the crest of the private clinic where she was followed, realizing that the content was going to change her life forever. She then hurried up to her place, putting the envelope in front of her on the table, her heart beating wildly as she took a deep breath. As soon as she opened it, she found two papers, one in the name of Thomas Kessler, the other in that of Harvey Specter, and even if she was tempted to look at the lawyer's first, she forced herself and grabbed the architect's. As she read a series of numbers she didn't understand, it was when she saw the number 7.062% next to the word « probability of paternity » that tears began to well up. She then rushed to grab Harvey's document, a test he had finally done without telling her, and burst into tears when she saw the number 98.777% written in bold. The baby was Harvey's, and for the first time, she felt like breathing again, tears running down her cheeks without stopping. While a large part of her was happy to share her daughter with the man who had made her heart beat for almost fifteen years, she couldn't help but be filled with fear about how things were going with Harvey, but also a hint of guilt about Thomas. He was a good guy, and he didn't deserve everything that was happening to him, making the redhead feel even more guilty because she couldn't help but be happy by the results. Knowing that Harvey was in court and that it was bolder to tell Thomas the bad news first, she called the architect, who answered quickly.

«Hello?»

«Thomas, hey. Am I disturbing you?»

«No, no. Tell me»

«Are you free to eat lunch?»

«Of course. I'll text you the address»

«Perfect. See you»

About ten minutes later, Donna received the instructions with the time and place of the meeting while she was getting ready to go meet him. As she arrived first in the restaurant, the moment he looked at her face, he understood, and so barely seated, he smiled kindly while murmuring.

«It's not mine, right?»

«It's not»

As she handed him the paper, he nodded quickly with chuckling.

«Will it be horrible to say that I'm relieved?»

«No, don't worry, I understand»

«I would have loved to spend my life with you and have a child, really, but not on this terms, not with you still in love with him»

«I'm so sorry. When I met you, I really thought I would be able to forget him and get him out of my head, but no, it's still and always him»

«I don't blame you, you know. It's very difficult to forget your first love, no matter when you met him»

«Yeah»

«Does he know?»

«Not yet»

«How do you think he'll take it?»

«I don't know. These last few weeks, he was convinced that this baby was yours, and he was ready to do anything not to lose me, even raise a child that wasn't his. But now that it's not the case, I wonder…»

«You know, I don't know Harvey very well, but he loves you, really»

«How can you know that?»

«Well, he punched me in the nose when I insinuated things about you»

«What?»

«Yeah, sorry about that»

«It's fine»

«I mean it, Donna. I'm sorry for my behavior these last few weeks»

«Thomas, it's alright, I promise. Things were crazy, and no one really knew how to react to the situation. You also deserve an apology for the fact that I wait with that paternity test»

«You were afraid for your baby, that's normal»

«Yeah»sighed Donna, discreetly caressing her belly under the table.

«So it's all good?»

«It's all good»

«What do you want to drink?»

For almost an hour, the two exes chatted about everything and nothing, relief on their faces, before the architect had to return to the office and greet Donna on the sidewalk.

«Well, again, all my congratulations»

«Thank you, Thomas»

«If we don't cross paths again, I wish you much happiness with Harvey and your baby. I'm sure you're going to be a beautiful family»

He then took her in his arms, placed a kiss on her forehead before smiling at her and leaving the sidewalk, letting the redhead to return to the firm. Near City Hall, Harvey had just left the courthouse after his trial to go back to the firm, but, as he was passing by Fifth Avenue, he called out to the driver to stop as he passed in front of the Ralph Lauren baby shop. After paying him, he got out of the vehicle to walk over to the models on display and swallowed with difficulty as he unconsciously entered the store.

«Hello, sir. Can I help you?»

«Um, I'm just looking»

«Perfect. Don't hesitate to come find me if you ever have a question»

«Thank you»

Once the woman had left, Harvey began to walk around the store, looking at each small item with a heavy heart. He was looking for something for a newborn, and something neutral since he didn't know if it was a girl or a boy. As he wandered through the clothes, he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the outfit that melted his heart. Between his fingers, a white-footed onesie in soft cotton, featuring a series of small bears all over the fabric, a small matching beanie.

«You choose?»

«Yeah, I'll take that. Can you wrap it?»

«Of course»

«Thank you»

About ten minutes later, Harvey was walking to the firm, the gift package against him as he walked down the street until he stopped dead when he saw the scene unfolding in front of him on the sidewalk opposite. A few feet from him, Donna was in Thomas's arms, the architect placing a kiss on her forehead, both of them smiling at each other and laughing together. Feeling his throat tighten, he quickened his pace to the point where he was just walking in his office while thinking about everything that was happening. She should have the results by now, and given how she was with Thomas, he was the father of her child, and him? Well, he was just Harvey. He had told Donna that he would be there no matter the outcome because he loved her, baby or not, but now, knowing that this baby was Thomas's, that she would always have a bond with the architect, and that she would never be completely his, he was having a little trouble swallowing the pill and getting used to the idea. As he was thinking about how to react, he heard Donna's soft voice whisper as he quickly looked up.

«Hey»

«Donna, hey»

Seeing the redhead show him an envelope — probably the results of the paternity test — the stress could have been read on his face, as she was probably about to tell him that he was going to be a stepfather, as he decided to beat her to it by handing her the gift.

«What's that?»

«For you. Come on, open it»

As she unwrapped the cream ribbon from the white box, her breath caught when she saw an adorable little bodysuit from Ralph Lauren that he had given her.

«Harv»sighed the redhead.

«It's a unisex bodysuit, neutral, and I got it for a newborn, apparently it's a standard size. Um, I don't know if Thomas will agree if I give you this kind of thing; it's— »

«Harvey»

«— alright. You just have to say that you bought it; it's fine. I saw it and —»

«Harv»

«I thought it was so cute. Anyway, it doesn't change anything for me; you know, we'll just have to figure out how much space to put and how much space I can take because this baby is his and I wouldn't want to— »

«She's yours, Harvey»

For a few seconds, the room was silent as the lawyer stared at her with wide eyes and a slightly open mouth. Donna then decided to hand him the document, which he grabbed with trembling hands as he quickly scanned the document, seeing the word baby, then alleged father Harvey Specter, a series of numbers, followed by the words probability of paternity and the number 98.777% in bold.

«She's mine?»whispered Harvey.

«Yeah»

«It's a she?»

«Yes, baby girl. Your baby girl, well, ours»

«A baby girl... How?»

«You know how»

«Yeah, I mean, it only happened once, and— »

«Well, I heard you're the best closer in New York, so…»

«So she's mine»

«She's yours, yeah»

«She's mine»whispered Harvey.

Two years later...

It had been two years now since Thomas had heard from Donna, and he often wondered what had become of her. He had really loved the redhead, he had been able to imagine having a future with her, but he always had the feeling of being double-crossed, and when he had met Harvey for the first time, he had understood that it was against him that he had to fight, even if Donna had made the choice by cheating on him with the lawyer. Donna's pregnancy had made him question a little about what he wanted to be and his goal in life, but now that it had been two years and that he had been dating a woman for almost a year with whom he had plans for the future, he sometimes wondered how his ex was doing. While he was looking for a birthday present for his girlfriend between books, he heard a female voice behind him.

«Thomas?»

«Oh my god, Donna. It's been such a long time»

«Two years, yeah»

«How are you doing? Good, I suppose»

As he looked at the redhead's swollen belly with wide eyes, Donna couldn't help but chuckle while stroking her stomach gently.

«Really good»

«How far are you?»

«Six months, almost seven»

«Wow, already»

«Yeah»

«What about the first one?»

«She's twenty months»

«She?»

«Yeah»

«And this one?»

«She again»chuckled Donna.

«And how's life?»

«Perfect»

«I supposed Harvey is good too?»smiled Thomas.

«He's amazing. I never thought he'd be a father like that, but he's absolutely perfect and completely crazy about them both»

«I'm not surprised. He was already crazy about you»

«Yeah»

«Can I see her? I mean just a picture, out of curiosity»

«Better, come with me»

After a few feet, Donna and Thomas were in the center of the floor where there were several sofas with Harvey sitting comfortably, still in his suit, a little redhead from behind, sitting on his lap as her little high-pitched voice could be heard from a distance. While the lawyer listened attentively to the little girl, he held her two hands between his as he placed little unconscious kisses on them while responding to what she was saying.

«She's a redhead»snorted Thomas.

«Yeah»

While Harvey laughed at what she had just said, the little girl let herself fall back into her father's arms to place a little kiss on his cheek while Harvey hugged her to cover her with kisses in turn. Not having noticed the two adults, it was Donna who whispered in a soft voice.

«Honey»

«Hum? Thomas»

«Hey Harvey»

As the little girl turned her head, Thomas saw her for the first time and chuckled. Aside from the two little buns on top of her head, she was Donna's double, except she had her father's smile, they didn't need paternity test to see that. And, as she tightened her grip around Harvey's neck, the architect smiled before whispering.

«You look like you belong»

«I am, yeah»

«Whatever happened in the past, I'm happy for you two»

«Thank you so much.»

«Thank you, Thomas»

«Anyway, it was nice seeing you, but I'll leave the little family alone. Maybe next time?»

«Maybe next time»smiled Harvey.

«Bye, Thomas»added Donna.

After a nod, the architect left the floor, leaving the couple and the little girl alone while Harvey was still sitting on the couch, his daughter against him while the redhead was standing in front of them, sliding her hand into his hair while looking at him lovingly. For a few seconds, no one said anything until Harvey leaned down to place a tender kiss on her swollen belly, then delicately placed his hand on his first daughter's face to place a soft kiss on her cheek, and then stood up and kissed the redhead, all the love he had for her was felt in his kiss.

«Thank you for offering me this beautiful life. I love you so much»

«I love you too, so much»
