The months that followed Naruto's arrival in Pergrande had been filled with challenges and adjustments, and though it hadn't been an easy journey, he had managed to carve out a new life for himself here. It was now the year X790, and winter had turned to spring, the chill of the mists receding into the warmth of blooming flowers and vibrant green.

Naruto had been invited to join the Pergrande military shortly after returning from the Hall of Mirrors. His skills as a warrior in combat had drawn attention, and King Jasan himself had extended the offer. It wasn't easy at first—Naruto had always been a shinobi, and the thought of joining an entirely different kind of military had been daunting. But when he considered his options and the fact that he had nowhere else to go, he realized it was the best way for him to contribute to the kingdom and protect those who had become his friends.

The first few weeks had been the hardest. Despite the new clothes, despite the warm welcome from Hatsuya, Akane, and even General Marus, there were nights when Naruto felt the full weight of his separation from his own world. He would stare up at the unfamiliar stars and think of Konoha—of his friends, and of everything he had left behind. For a time, a deep depression had settled over him, and there were mornings when he struggled to find the motivation to rise.

But Hatsuya and Akane had been there for him through it all. Hatsuya had often insisted on spending time with him—whether it was over tea in the gardens of the palace or simply walking through the streets of Vantaria. Her kindness and gentle encouragement slowly helped Naruto find his way out of the darkness.

Akane, on the other hand, took a different approach. She would spar with him in the training grounds, pushing him harder and harder until the only thing he could focus on was the fight in front of him. It reminded him of the times he'd trained with his friends, and it brought back a spark of determination he thought he'd lost.

Once Naruto had joined the military, his days had become filled with training and missions. The Pergrande military was different from the shinobi forces back home; the soldiers relied heavily on magic, each warrior possessing unique abilities and spells that were integrated into combat. Naruto had taken it all in stride, using his chakra-based jutsus and raw physical prowess to supplement the more arcane tactics of his fellow soldiers.

What surprised everyone was how quickly he rose through the ranks. Naruto's combat abilities were far beyond anything they had seen. The soldiers had initially viewed him with skepticism—an outsider, not born of their magic, and with techniques they couldn't understand. But with each passing mission, Naruto earned their respect. His courage, his unyielding spirit, and his strength made him a rising force within the military. He was by no means a kingdom-wide hero yet, but the soldiers spoke of him with admiration, and his name was starting to be known across Vantaria.

Naruto's friendships with Hatsuya and Akane grew stronger with every passing day. Hatsuya remained a constant source of support, and Naruto found himself growing closer to her with each conversation. She would often invite him to the palace for dinners, where they would talk late into the night, discussing everything from the strange magic of Pergrande to Naruto's memories of Konoha.

One evening, Hatsuya brought Naruto to a quiet part of the palace—a small, tranquil garden where the moon shone down on a pond filled with shimmering fish. She spoke to him then about her own insecurities—the expectations placed on her as a princess, and her desire to do more for her people than simply be a symbol.

"You have a heart that cares for everyone," Naruto had told her that night, his eyes meeting hers earnestly. "You're already doing so much, Hatsuya. You just need to keep following what you think is right. The people here need someone like you."

Akane, meanwhile, had become one of his closest comrades in battle. They trained together regularly, and their sparring sessions often drew a crowd, each of them pushing the other to the limits. Her expertise in swordsmanship and magic was impressive, and Naruto had quickly realized that Akane had a natural instinct for combat.. They fought well together, their styles different but complementary—Naruto's raw power and unpredictable techniques paired with Akane's speed, precision, and fierce strikes.

But it wasn't all about fighting. Akane had a lighter side, too—one filled with jokes and teasing. She would often drag Naruto around Vantaria, challenging him to eat more crystal puffs than she could, or daring him to beat her in the street games that the children of the city played. More often than not, they would both end up laughing until their sides hurt.

"You know," Akane had said one day, leaning on her black katana and watching Naruto try—and fail—to juggle enchanted balls that floated randomly around him, "you're like a breath of fresh air in this place. I don't think I've ever met anyone like you, Naruto."

Naruto had laughed, giving up on the balls and letting them float away. "That's because there's only one Naruto Uzumaki," he said, his grin wide.

Naruto's reputation grew, and eventually, word reached the palace—specifically, to Prince Jasan, Hatsuya's elder brother and heir to the throne. Prince Jasan was known throughout the kingdom for his formidable frost magic, a magic that surpassed ordinary ice spells and could turn the hottest flames into brittle crystals with just a wave of his hand.

One day, Prince Jasan had come to the military training grounds, accompanied by General Marus. The soldiers had been abuzz with speculation—what could the prince want? When Jasan approached Naruto, a smile on his face and a challenging glint in his eye, Naruto knew exactly what this was about.

"I hear you've been making quite a name for yourself here, Naruto Uzumaki," Jasan had said, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. "My sister speaks highly of you, and even Marus is impressed. I think it's time I see what you're capable of for myself."

Naruto had met his gaze, a wide grin spreading across his face. "You want to spar with me, huh?" He cracked his knuckles, the excitement already building. "Alright then, I'm not one to back down from a challenge."

The training grounds had quickly cleared, the soldiers gathering around the perimeter, their eyes filled with anticipation. The prince was known for his strength, and Naruto's abilities had become the talk of the military. To see the two of them sparring was an event that no one wanted to miss.

The spar began with Prince Jasan summoning a swirling storm of frost and ice, the temperature of the entire training ground dropping in an instant. Naruto had responded by calling on entering Sage mode, his awareness amplified as he dodged the icy blasts, countering with a flurry of Shadow Clones that converged on the prince.

Jasan moved with grace and precision, his frost magic freezing Naruto's clones before they could reach him, his eyes sharp and calculating. But Naruto had only just begun. He formed a Rasengan, its energy crackling as he charged at Jasan. Sensing danger from the attack, Jasan summoned an ice wall to defend himself. The collision between the Rasengan and Jasan's ice was an explosion, ice crystals flew in every direction, surprising the prince at sheer destructive power of the ball of energy.

Quickly masking his surprise, Prince Jasan smiled as he signaled to Marus. Calling an end to the spar. "You are indeed formidable, Naruto," Jasan had said, extending his hand. "My sister was right—you truly are someone special."

Naruto shook his hand, his grin wide and genuine. "And you're one heck of an ice wizard, Prince Jasan. I'd spar with you again anytime."

As the crowd dispersed, someone from the military jokingly called out, "Maybe Uzumaki should be named a Calamity, huh? We could use another one of those!"

Naruto laughed at the comment, his grin turning playful. "I'd be honored to be a Calamity. Maybe one day I'll meet the rest of them and see how I stack up."

Jasan smiled, shaking his head. "The Calamities are powerful, Naruto, but with your strength, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens sooner rather than later."

The joke became a lighthearted story around the barracks—Naruto, the "potential sixth Calamity," and how he might be able to stand alongside the other elite wizards of the kingdom. Naruto took it all in stride, and secretly, he found himself wondering what it would be like to meet them—to see if he really could measure up.

The spar between Naruto and Prince Jasan had not only been a test of strength, but a declaration of Naruto's place within the military. Over the following days, the story of their fight spread across Vantaria, with the soldiers and citizens alike whispering about the outsider who had gone toe-to-toe with the prince himself. Though the joke of him being the "sixth Calamity" was said in jest, it became a point of pride for Naruto, an aspiration to truly prove himself worthy of such recognition.

He had yet to meet any of the Five Great Calamities, those mysterious wizards whose names carried weight throughout the entire kingdom. But Naruto was determined—he would meet them someday, and when he did, he hoped to stand as their equal.

In the days that followed the spar, Naruto continued his duties within the military, his reputation slowly but surely started to gain ground. Missions became more frequent, ranging from escorting trade caravans through the kingdom's borders to patrolling remote areas for signs of the masked intruders who had attacked the Hall of Mirrors. Naruto led his unit with unwavering determination, his ability to think on his feet and his remarkable strength earning him the loyalty of those who served under him.

The bonds he forged were not limited to the soldiers, though. Hatsuya and Akane remained at the center of his life, their friendship providing a much-needed sense of normalcy amid the demands of military life.

One evening, Naruto found himself sparring with Akane in the palace training grounds, the clang of steel ringing out as she swung her black katana, her movements fluid and fierce. Naruto dodged, countering her strikes with bursts of chakra-infused speed. Akane was fast—faster than most shinobi Naruto had faced, and her precision forced him to stay on his toes.

"Come on, Naruto," Akane teased, her eyes alight with mischief. "You're holding back. I told you to come out at me seriously."

Naruto grinned, jumping back to gain some space. "You sure Akane? I just don't want to end things so quickly!" He brought his hands together, forming the familiar signs for a jutsu. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

In an instant, three clones of Naruto appeared beside him, each with a wide grin, ready to assist in overwhelming Akane. She narrowed her eyes, her grin widening as she readied her stance.

"You think numbers scare me?!" she scoffed, lunging forward with a fierce swipe of her blade. Naruto's clones moved in sync, dodging her attacks and countering with quick punches, their teamwork seamless as they tried to catch her off guard.

The spar continued, the two of them moving with a mix of skill and sheer willpower. Finally, after a particularly powerful clash, both Naruto and Akane fell to the ground, exhausted from their spar.

"Alright, I'll admit," Akane said between breaths, "you're a pain in the ass to fight, Naruto."

Naruto laughed, wiping sweat from his brow. "So I've been told. You're pretty tough yourself, if we ever have to fight side-by-side in a real battle, I know we'll make an unstoppable team."

Akane nodded, her expression softening. "Yeah. I think so too. You know, I don't say this often, but… I'm glad you're here, Naruto. You've made things a lot more interesting."

Naruto smiled, a warm feeling spreading through his chest. He knew that despite everything he had lost, he had also gained so much—friends who cared for him, a new place to protect, and the chance to grow stronger.

Later that night, Naruto found himself in the palace gardens with Hatsuya, the air filled with the soft scent of blooming flowers. Lanterns hung from the trees, their gentle glow casting a golden light over the garden paths. Hatsuya led him to a small table set up beneath a tree, where a tea set awaited them.

"It's been a while since we had a quiet evening like this," Hatsuya said, her voice soft, her eyes glancing at Naruto with warmth. She poured him a cup of tea, her movements graceful and practiced. "You've been so busy lately—leading your unit, training with the soldiers, even sparring with my brother."

Naruto took the cup, smiling gratefully. "Yeah, it's been pretty hectic, but I think I'm getting used to it. And your brother? He's no joke. His frost magic is amazing."

Hatsuya laughed, her eyes sparkling. "He was impressed with you, you know. He said that he hasn't had a challenge like that in years." She leaned forward, her expression more serious. "Naruto, you've done so much since you got here. I just want you to know… you've made a difference. Not just in the military, but for everyone you've met."

Naruto looked down at his cup, the steam curling upward in soft spirals. "I've just been trying to find my place here. It hasn't been easy, but… with you, with Akane, and with the people I've met, it's starting to feel like I belong."

Hatsuya reached across the table, her hand gently resting on Naruto's. "You do belong. More than you know. And maybe one day, you'll even get your wish."

Naruto looked up, confused. "My wish?"

Hatsuya smiled, her eyes filled with a mix of mischief and fondness. "To meet the Five Great Calamities. The way you're going, I think it's only a matter of time before they come to see who this 'rising force' in Pergrande is. You've already impressed so many—maybe you'll even end up as one of them someday."

Naruto laughed, though the thought filled him with excitement. "I don't know about that. But if I do get to meet them, I'll make sure to show them what I'm made of. I'm curious to see just how strong they are."

Hatsuya chuckled, taking a sip of her tea. "I'm sure you will. And I'll be there to cheer you on."

The days turned into weeks, and the stories of Naruto's exploits continued to spread. Though he was not yet a hero in the eyes of the kingdom, he was becoming someone people respected—a name that soldiers spoke with admiration, a figure who was proving to be a valuable protector of Pergrande.

One evening, after another successful mission, Naruto stood atop one of the castle towers, looking out over the city of Vantaria. The lights of the city twinkled like stars below him, and the cool night air carried the distant sounds of laughter and music from the streets.

Kurama stirred within him, his presence a steady warmth. "You've done well, Naruto. You're finally finding your place here."

Naruto smiled, his gaze distant but content. "Yeah. I think I really am. It's different from Konoha, but… it feels good. The people here are counting on me, and I'm not going to let them down."

Kurama snorted, though his tone was filled with something akin to pride. "That's the spirit, kid. Just don't get too comfortable. There's always a bigger challenge waiting."

Naruto grinned, his heart light. "Bring it on. I'm ready for whatever comes next."

As he stood there, watching the city below, Naruto felt the full weight of his new purpose settle comfortably into place. He was not the same guy who had arrived in this world lost and alone. He was growing, becoming part of something greater, and creating bonds that would last a lifetime.

He was Naruto Uzumaki—shinobi, protector of Pergrande, and perhaps one day, a force that would stand among the most powerful in the kingdom. For now, he was content to continue proving himself, to keep growing stronger, and to cherish the friendships that had become his anchor.

A/N: This fic is gonna take me some time. Since im trying to build a whole kingdom, it's taking me time to figure out how I am going to get the story flowing smoother. I wanted to readdress my statement about Naruto 'train wrecking my story'. I am by no means nerfing him, I don't intend to, but I also want the world of Fairy Tail magic to be respected. Otherwise what's the point of me trying to build a world from nothing? Anyway, Thanks for reading!
