Meanwhile with Iida...
Iida and Ingenium were going at it as they both used their respective quirks. They ran so fast at each other that if anyone caught them fighting, they wouldn't be able to tell who was who. Their engines were all fired up as they ran across the fields. Iida tried to stay away from Ladybug and her team as he ran at his older brother. Ingenium was strong, but Iida could tell that he was a bit rusty since it had been a while.
They both haulted as they tried to catch their breath. Iida felt a little tired, but he knew that Ingenium was as well. He even seemed to be frustrated with himself that he wasn't as fast as before. Something about that made Iida really sad for him.
Iida had to stop him. He wasn't able to land a single blow to the helmet. He knew the akuma was in there at this point. His armor was a bit dented from skidding and punching.
There was no sign of an akuma anywhere.
"Brother... Why won't you let me do this?" Ingenium asked him, clearly frustrated, "All I want is to get back to normal. I know that you want that too. Why can't you do this for me?"
Iida gritted his teeth, remembering what he told him. And how he responded.
"Are you serious? After what I told you. About the price of wishing for something on those Miraculous," Iida growled at him, "You would let someone get hurt just so you could relive the glory days. My brother would never wish for something like that!"
Ingenium's eyes widened in shock, hearing this from his younger brother. Iida could tell that he got through to him and took this chance to go after that akuma. He launched right at him, giving him no chance to escape or run at him. Iida kneed him in the helmet with his engines on, causing it to break it in half. Ingenium collapsed onto the ground, feeling defeated.
The akuma flew out of it, and Iida realized that he didn't have anything to capture it with. Suddenly something launched past him and captured the akuma in a weird laser. It pulled it towards something, and Iida spotted Melissa with some sort of akuma capturing device. The akuma ended up in a big jar at the end of the device so it couldn't get away.
"Melissa?!" Iida cried out, "Where did you come from?!"
"I saw you leave the school earlier. I kind of figured you might need help capturing those akumas," Melissa explained to him, "I guess I was right."
Iida looked back to see his older brother being detransformed back into his casual outfit. He was back in his wheelchair, looking disappointed. Iida looked at him and hoped that he didn't blame himself for doing all of this.
Melissa could tell that this was a private matter and let him handle things. She stayed put and made sure the akuma capturing device was working properly.
Iida walked up to him and knew right away that he didn't want to even look at him. Tensei noticed him walking over here and avoided looking at him even more. Iida tightened his fists and didn't feel angry this time around.
"Tensei... I'm not mad at you."
He almost looked up at him, but at least flinched from his response. Tensei didn't say anything as Iida stood there, worried about him.
"All I ever wanted was for you to be happy," Iida said to him, "I always looked up to you as an older brother and as a hero. Of course I'd wish for you to be healthy and healed, but not at the cost of someone's else's. That would not be very heroic."
Tensei finally looked up at him and noticed how mature he's gotten. He hasn't seen him in a while, especially after what happened in Paris. He knew what had happened, he had gotten a call from the school. Hearing what had happened made him realize how much and how far he's come in just less than a year here.
"Tenya. You're so much wiser than me," Tensei said back, "Look at you, you beat me. I'll admit, I was a bit rusty but still. I just..."
Iida noticed that he was crying and felt tears form under his eyes. He couldn't hold it back anymore and hugged him.
"Brother... It wasn't your fault. None of this was your fault," Iida said to him, "Chrysalis did this to you. Those akumas did this to you. You didn't mean any of it. Please know that I forgive you."
Tensei felt him shaking and hugged him back. He felt so relieved after what had happened, and Iida was ready to help out his classmates and friends. Once Iida let go of him, he looked at Melissa since he knew he would need some help.
"Melissa, can you help me escort my older brother to the school?" Iida asked him, "I'm going to need you capturing those akumas."
Melissa's eyes shined with so much light and smiled at him.
"I'd be happy to."
Iida pushed his older brother across the field as quickly as he could. Melissa tried to keep up, but then Iida realized that he was leaving her behind.
"Sorry, I just wanted to get there as quickly as possible," Iida explained to her, "Everyone is going to need help capturing those akumas."
"I understand..." Melissa said as she tried to catch her breath, "Just... give me a second to catch my breath..."
Tensei couldn't help smile at how well Iida was handling all of this. He could tell that Iida has grown a lot.
They soon entered the school, and the teachers spotted them right away given the circumstances. They helped him inside and made sure Tensei was taken care of. Iida looked at his older brother and noticed that he was smiling. He knew that he would be okay.
"Well brother. I'll be back for you once this is all over," Iida said to him.
Soon enough, Melissa and Iida ran out the door, heading straight for Ladybug's team. Tensei looked out the window, feeling a sense of relief to see him helping others.
"Good luck Tenya."
Earlier with Ladybug and her teammates...
Ladybug's team surrounded her as she tried to get her energy back up. She still felt a little weak kneed from that wave of dirt that hit her pretty hard. Her teammates made sure they didn't get anywhere near her. She tried to move her wings, but they weren't responding very well. Ladybug knew that she had to get her energy back up somehow.
They needed her to capture those akumas.
These group of four akumatized villains were clearly a group of pro heroes akumatized just by looking at them. Ladybug had a feeling that they were somewhat well known just based on quirks, strength and teamwork.
"The wild, wild pussycats?" Cat Noir pointed out as they introduced themselves, "That's sounds pretty furry."
Ladybug gave him a look to back off, and he got back to helping her out. She looked around to see if she needed anyone on her team for anything specific. In the corner of her eye, she spotted Iida running around in a flash. He was fighting someone else in the background, and she knew that this person was just as fast as him. She worried about him, but knew that he could handle it.
She then looked at Queen Bee and Rooster Bold. She knew that they could definitely help her out, especially with Pixie Bob's quirk. Carapace could definitely help out with the defense, but didn't know how to deal with Tiger. He did seem pretty big and tough to beat. Mandalay didn't seem that hard to beat, but Ladybug remembered something weird happen back there with her. Ladybug could swear she heard her say something about Cat Noir.
Ladybug then noticed Ragdoll didn't seem to be helping with the fighting. She was doing something, but didn't know what exactly. Ladybug had a feeling that it had something to do with her quirk. In that moment, she locked her eyes with her and Ladybug knew what she was doing.
"Guys, I think that Ragdoll's quirk is some sort of information gathering kind of quirk," Ladybug told them.
"What? Are you sure? She hasn't done anything though," Queen Bee said back.
"Exactly. She's gathering information on us for them," Ladybug tried to explain, "Something about it just feels different from all of the others. I don't know what it is, but it gives me a sickening feeling."
"Okay then. I guess we should take her down first," Cat Noir said to her, "I'll bet the akuma is in her head piece."
"We just need to be careful with Pixie Bob. She might be the one we have trouble with the most," Ryuko said to them, "Her quirk is pretty strong."
Ladybug tried to activate One for All and felt her entire body feeling more energized. She felt her wings flutter and felt like she could hold up for a little while longer.
"Okay, I'm ready," Ladybug said to Cat Noir.
"What? Ladybug, no. You're hurt," Cat Noir said back, "Let us handle it."
"Don't worry. I don't have to go anywhere," Ladybug said to him with a smile, "Just give me some time, and I'll deliver the final blow."
Cat Noir's eyes widened in shock, and he had a feeling she knew what she was doing. Ladybug told them what to do, and they scattered all around the Wild Wild Pussycats. Rooster Bold wrote something down on his hand, touched his chest which activated his power.
They were ready.
They all noticed them and got ready to attack back.
"Seriously? I thought they were done fighting us," Pixie Bob said to them.
Queen Bee ran at them with her spinning top at the ready. Rooster Bold stayed behind, but followed her closely. She saw Tiger coming a mile away. She easily dodged and flipped over him thanks to Bakugo's training. The moment she landed on the ground, she spotted Mandalay coming at her.
"Queen Bee huh? Sounds like a pretty fitting hero name for you."
Queen Bee didn't expect that comment, but kept her focus on going after Ragdoll. Luckily, Ryuko was right there to help out. She ran at Mandalay with the sword, and Queen Bee went for Ragdoll. But soon Pixie Bob got in the way, clearly knowing what they were planning on doing.
"Do you really think I wouldn't see this coming?" Pixie Bob asked her, "You've got no where to go."
Pixie Bob slammed her hands down onto the ground, causing it to form into a wave. Queen Bee tried to focus on what she was after, and stayed right there. Right before the wave hit her, Rooster Bold showed up and put his hand up as the wave hit it. Suddenly, the dirt wave stopped and fell apart onto the ground.
"What?!" Pixie Bob cried out.
"Sorry, but your quirk won't work on me!" Rooster Bold cried out.
Queen Bee flipped over him and headed straight towards Pixie Bob.
"Venom!" Queen Bee called out and touched Pixie Bob with her power.
Pixie Bob froze in place, causing Ragdoll to get up.
"Pixie Bob!" Ragdoll cried out, worried for her friend.
Then Ragdoll felt something hit her headpiece, causing her to fall down to the ground. Ladybug had used One for All to flick at Ragdoll's head piece.
"You did it!" Cat Noir cried out.
The akuma flew out of the head piece, and Ladybug was about to catch it. But then Tiger came charging at her, Carapace and Cat Noir. Carapace quickly ran up to them as he pulled out his shield.
"Shell-ter!" Carapace called out right as Tiger punched at it.
"How dare you hurt Ragdoll! She's just wants her quirk back!" Tiger cried out, "That's why we're doing this! To grant that wish!"
Ladybug and Cat Noir's eyes widened in shock hearing this from him. They felt bad for him, but they didn't have to do much. He kept pounding onto the shield, causing it to crack. Ladybug looked up to see the akuma trying to fly away.
"I need to grab that akuma! I can't let it get away!" Ladybug cried out.
"Kind of busy here!" Carapace cried out as Tiger kept pounding on his shield.
Ladybug looked at Queen Bee and the others were helping her out. Pixie Bob was frozen in place from the venom, but they couldn't get rid of the akuma without Ladybug around. Mandalay tried to get to her friend, but Ryuko got her with her Water Dragon move. Ladybug watched the akuma start to fly away, but then Purple Tigress came charging in right at Tiger.
"Clout!" Purple Tigress cried out.
She punched him, causing him to go flying away from their friends. Carapace felt so relieved and dropped his shield.
"Thank you Purple Tigress," Carapace said to her, "I owe you one."
Ladybug immediately took off and tried to fly in order to catch the akuma. Her wings weren't quite strong enough yet, and she kept struggling to fly. She launched her yo-yo at it, but her wings made her miss.
"No... Come on..." Ladybug mumbled under her breath.
Before it could fly away, something shot past Ladybug and caught it just in time. It looked like some sort of laser. She followed the it back down towards the ground and spotted Melissa and Iida. The akuma got pulled into some sort of akuma capturing device that Melissa held. Ladybug felt so relieved and floated back down towards her.
"Melissa! Tenya! You're both here!" Ladybug cried out.
"Of course! We would never let you do this without some sort of backup!" Iida said back, "It looks like you're doing pretty-- Wait a minute, are you fighting the Wild Wild Pussycats?! That's crazy!"
"So you do know them," Queen Bee said to him, "We had a feeling they were well known pro heroes."
"Yeah. We met them during our summer camp hero training," Iida explained to them, "They were pretty tough to train with, especially Pixie Bob. I'm surprised that you even got her."
Queen Bee looked proud to have taken her on directly and stood tall.
Mandalay looked pretty angry as Tiger got up and ready to fight them off. Pixie Bob was still stuck, and Queen Bee stayed right beside her. Ladybug looked all around for a place for the akuma to hide. She knew right away that the head piece was where it was hiding. Once she threw her yo-yo at it, it cracked open. An akuma flew out of it, and Melissa quickly grabbed it with her akuma capturing device.
Soon enough, the purplish cloud formed around Ragdoll and Pixie Bob and transformed them into their normal civilian outfits. Iida ran up to them to help them out and explained what was going on.
"Wow! That's so cool!" Cat Noir complimented, "So you made that all by yourself?"
"Yep! But I needed Hatsume's help with some additional parts," Melissa explained to them, "I made this so Ladybug had more time taking care of the akumatized villains, and less time worrying about capturing these things."
Ladybug smiled, feeling so much relief coming off of her shoulders.
"Thanks Melissa. I owe you one," Ladybug said to her.
Before they could do anything, Ladybug spotted Tiger and Mandalay forming up to take them down. Ladybug got ready, but Pixie Bob and Ragdoll getting up to help them out. Pixie Bob looked a little embarrassed to be doing this, but she wanted to knock some sense into her teammates.
"Pixie Bob, what're you doing helping these two?" Tiger asked her, looking really upset.
"Don't you know we need those Miraculous in order to help Ragdoll?" Mandalay asked her.
Pixie Bob hesitated and looked at Ragdoll. She looked really upset that this was even happening to her teammates. After shaking it off, she kept facing them as she got ready to attack.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not letting you touch them!" Pixie Bob cried out.
Pixie Bob slammed her hands down onto the ground, causing the ground to crumble underneath their feet. Tiger easily traversed through the ground and grabbed Mandalay before the ground make them sink or stumble. Pixie Bob wasn't surprised that they were able to work their way around her moves considering they know each other's moves very well.
"Get ready!" Pixie Bob cried out to Ladybug and her teammates, "I can't hold them back much longer!"
"That's okay. We've got this!" Cat Noir said to her he got his baton ready.
Ladybug got her yo-yo out and swung it around like a lasso. She focused on One for All, feeling that power flow through her. Something about it caught Pixie Bob's attention as she got ready to fight. Ryuko launched at Mandalay and tried to go for the head piece. Tiger went right for her and tried to grab her, but she quickly used her Wind Dragon in order to get away from him. He got pushed away from her and Mandalay and right into Cat Noir's reach.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir cried out as he slammed his hand into the head piece.
The akuma flew away, but Melissa was easily able to capture it. Mandalay realized that she was the last one on the team. She had no where to go as Ladybug's team circled around her. Ladybug stepped up as the leader and held her yo-yo with confidence.
"You've lost Mandalay. You might as well give up now," Ladybug said to her.
Mandalay looked around and noticed how upset and worried her teammates looked. Even Ragdoll looked like she was going to cry. Mandalay felt her knees shaking and soon fell to the ground, feeling defeated.
"I'm sorry Ragdoll," Mandalay said under her breath, "I failed you. I'm the leader, and I couldn't protect you."
Ragdoll walked up to them along with the rest of the team. They all stood around her and noticed that their leader wasn't doing so well. Ladybug's eyes widened when she noticed how frustrated she looked. Something happened with this team. She remembered someone mentioning Ragdoll losing her quirk. Ladybug lowered her yo-yo and knew what was going on.
"Mandalay..." Ladybug said to her, "I understand why you're doing this. You want to help your teammate get her quirk back. That's why you're after the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous."
Mandalay flinched and looked up at Ladybug. Her eyes looked so glossy like she was about to cry.
"Mandalay. I know how you feel. I once lost a lot of my teammates's Miraculous, powers just like you," Ladybug said to her, "I felt so alone. But then my partner here helped me stand tall, and we were able to get help. I soon got all of the Miraculous back, and my teammates. I know I can't help you get your friend's quirk back, but I'm sure that we can figure something out."
Mandalay looked at Ladybug and then back at her teammates. They looked like they were okay with their circumstances. Even Ragdoll looked like she was okay with not having her quirk back.
"Please Mandalay. We just want you back," Ragdoll said through tears.
Something about that snapped her out of it. Mandalay felt a headache coming on, but it didn't seem to bother her.
"Oh please. Like this would ever affect me," Mandalay said back, "Chrysalis, you're not getting these Miraculous from me!"
Mandalay broke out of the akumatization, and the akuma flew out of her head piece. Melissa caught it and smiled now that the Wild Wild Pussycats were back to normal.
Ladybug and her teammates applauded and cheered, realizing they just took down four akumas.
Another amazing chapter!
This one turned out really good! I love what I came up with for Melissa! I just had to get her involved somehow, so I came up with this akuma capturing device! I love her so much! I'm just glad that I put Iida's older brother in here! I think Iida deserves a lot more love and support for how amazing his character is! Him and Midoriya are such amazing friends and stick together! I just love how supportive he is towards his friends and classmates! Ladybug and Cat Noir have been fun to write as well, especially now they have finally defeated the Wild Wild Pussycats! I love these guys! I like how I'm getting into the reason why they're doing this! It makes things more interesting!
