Mualani knelt before Mavuika who sat on the throne. Hand over heart, she saluted the Pyro Archon.
"You summoned me, ma'am?"
"Please relax, this is an informal meeting."
Mualani stood. "So…it's not about the crisis?"
"Nope." Mavuika said, "I understand you met one of Aether's friends. What did you talk about?"
Mualani explained meeting the strange finch, Tubby, who appeared in her house and told her about Aether's lovers: The United Harem of Aether. She showed her Archon the constitution Tubby gave her. As the Pyro Archon read, her eyes widened. She quickly mastered her expression, resuming a professional demeanor.
She asked, "So, have you decided to join?"
"Is polygamy legal?"
"There's no law against it. If you like Aether, perhaps you should consider."
Mualani frowned. "Are you encouraging me to join?"
Mavuika pointed to a list of names on the constitution. "Listen, this right here is a who's who of the most powerful people in Teyvat. The Electro Archon, the Tianqian, the Yuheng, the Acting Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius, and the Fourth Fatui Harbinger. A group like this has power. Natlan has to become a part of it."
Mavuika cleared her throat.
"I won't force you, Mualani, if you don't love Aether. It is your choice."
Love… Mualani didn't know if it went that far, but she definitely had a crush on the guy. The way he helped Katarina when no one else would, endeared him to her. His adventurous spirit was also a major turn-on. He trusted her with his life, which only friends could do. He repelled the Abyss from her village, saved Atea, and promised to solve Nathan's crisis.
Also, he was cute. Gods, Muanali was stoked when she got him shirtless with her in the hot springs.
She realized she'd been silent for a while. Also, she might've drooled a little. Wiping her mouth, Mualani faces the Archon.
"I like him a lot," she admitted.
"I see. So what will you tell Tubby?"
"Oh, I already told her I'd love to join. Our conversation went something like: 'Miss Mualani, I'd like to talk to you about the UHA…' 'Stop right there, Tubby. I'm in.' 'That was fast.' 'Look, I want a boyfriend.'"
Mavuika chuckled. "So, you already joined then? Excellent. Hopefully, we get some more members on this UHA so we get representation in the House and Senate. Make sure you get along with the others."
"Yes, ma'am."
"In the meantime," said Mavuika. "Let's figure out the crisis."
Mualani departed, determined to make a good impression with the girls.
