I know the wholesome in the title kinda feels like a lie so far, but I swear we're over the worst of it. But I have very wholesome plans. Also the harem part... this is like the first introductory book of a five+ book series as far as I'm concerned. But I have a whole party of six all planned - no more, and they're not all harem members: like Milotic. I'm still trying to speedrun getting the band together, as it were.
I knocked right on Mr. Briney's front door, still dripping in my wet-suit. The journey here had been much more pleasant with the rebreather and goggles. Now that tensions weren't as high as the other night, the three of us - Milotic still doesn't care about anime - were back on watching Naruto whenever we could. I still cringe internally whenever I think about ROBs and their involvement in my life - but I was just going to have to make the best of it; I had a hunch of where I would logically find a rare pokemon, relatively close to here.
Mr. Briney opened the door shortly, "Tobias my boy, you came back here fast - couldn't get enough of my sharp wit, I see," he laughed at his own joke.
"Honestly, you're not wrong - your stories are amazing and I was passing through anyway," he became quite chuffed at my quick reply.
"Well there's plenty more where those came from! Always a pleasure, having such a fine young specimen as yourself visit my humble abode," Mr. Briney gave me a cheesy grin - hey that's my look! Espeon even told me in confidence that it gives her the good feels... Arceus, we need to find a place to have sex again; I'm starting to feel the withdrawal.
Mr. Briney lead us into his house - he said he didn't care that I'm still dripping: he built his cabin to accommodate such a state on purpose. Makes sense, what with him being a sailor and all; especially right on the ocean.
After I got changed back into regular clothes, it was story time. The girls and I were eagerly awaiting anything that Mr. Briney would tell us. "Hmm, where to start... did I tell you about the time we were attacked by pirates, not far off the coast of Alola?"
"Nope, but now you have to," I replied eagerly.
"Well, it went like this..."
XX
Eventually, we had to stop for dinner - not even Mr. Briney is immune to hunger apparently. He tried to say he would cook, but I invoked guest rights and overrode him - that's how it works in Game of Thrones right?
As I cooked, I started up a conversation, to inquire after my secondary objective for seeing Mr. Briney again, "So Mr. Briney - what do you know about aura? I'm pretty sure you already know all the ways a Milotic evolves as well: you must at least know something about it."
Mr. Briney grew very still at my question and following statement. His emotions were also turning to extreme caution - and a hint of fear; ah, crap, he's not gonna tell me much is he - well, until I show him my abilities at least: hopefully.
"How do you even know about aura, boy?" he said, using an unexpectedly harsh tone for the usually jolly old man. "Ain't many people alive today that even know of the concept." Arceus, it's that rare!?
"Err, well, Ralts told me my aura was fairy type when we first met - she would know after all."
Mr. Briney flinched greatly at that, as he immediately did his best to conceal his emotions from me - oh farts; that's not good at all. "You know the secret of fairy types, as well as multiple Milotic evolutions! Not even most Milotic know why they ever even evolved..." he trailed off in reminiscence - but only for a moment, as I felt wariness through his poor attempts at concealing his emotions. "You're a nice kid Tobias, but I learned these things over the course of countless adventures over the years - how do you know of them?"
I hadn't been expecting it to go like this, but if I can trust anyone with my secrets, it'll probably be Mr. Briney. "Alright Mr. Briney: but I'm telling you this in confidence - please don't spread it around."
Mr. Briney grew solemn at that, but at least he was beginning to calm down, "alright lad, I promise I won't tell anyone else your secrets - is Peeko okay to hear this?"
I glanced at the slightly stunned wingull - obviously Mr. Briney didn't get serious very often. "Yeah, it's fine: as long as she doesn't tell anyone else either." Peeko nodded up and down, fascinated with where this was going.
Noticing that my pokemon were not at all surprised that I had some crazy mysterious past, Mr. Briney actually went down to only a healthy amount of caution - I'm pretty sure aura is a lot bigger deal than Brawly and his dad had known. "Well, I died... in another world. I woke up in the body of a guy who had been legally dead for a bit in a hospital room... I assume Arceus has plans for me or something... no idea what they are though."
Mr. Briney had been growing more and more incredulous as I described my circumstances, but invoking Arceus directly drew a hissing breath from him, "don't invoke his name willy-nilly: you never know when he might be listening."
I blinked... uh wasn't Arceus supposed to be benevolent? Not like... actually it's probably best I don't invoke that particular pokemon's name in this world: he really might be listening for 'sinners.' (people dumb enough to speak of him at all) "Sir, I think you're afraid of the wrong divine pokemon's wrath - Arceus is a bro; though apparently very bored."
Mr. Briney's eyes almost popped out of his skull at this, "boy, this isn't funny anymore - how do you know all of this!?" He wasn't joking around at all.
"Okay, I'm getting there. Like I said, I'm from a different world: in my original world, pokemon was the biggest media franchise in current existence. I know a lot about... basically most everything there is to know about pokemon."
Mr. Briney blue-screened at that, utterly unable to contemplate his entire world being fiction for a different universe's entertainment. I continued to cook in silence for a while, as he did his best to just bring his own emotions and thoughts under control.
Eventually he regained his composure, "so - you're from a different world... I've seen some crazy things in my travels: but I've only heard of such a thing in Sinnoh; from the legends of old Hisui."
"Yup, same exact thing happened there: a person from my world got sent to Hisui, and basically helped the original guy who came up with the pokedex - Hisuian variant pokemon aren't really a thing anymore though, huh?"
Mr. Briney stared at me incredulously for a bit - I was really hitting him hard today, huh? "You weren't lying at having almost encyclopedic knowledge of pokemon, eh?" he finally got out; his emotions had finally just gone to resigned acceptance... I may have broken him slightly.
"Yup."
He took a second to compose himself again, "Alright, tell me what you know and can do with aura; we'll go from there."
"Hmm... well, as a fairy type, I can manipulate emotions; as I felt you trying fairly poorly to protect yourself from - no offense." He gave a grunt, but actually relaxed a bit - if I intended to harm him, I could have done it long ago. "I'm not actually very proficient in that aspect yet - it's always way stronger than I intend and I've been practicing a lot lately."
He just looked at me in slight horror, "it's too strong for you to control properly? Arceus must really have a hand in your life: someone your age should barely even feel my emotions at all normally - especially not when I'm actively trying to hide them!"
By this point, I was finished with the food and was bringing it over to the table for everyone to dish up. "Yeah, tell me about it: my life has only gotten crazier and crazier lately."
Espeon decided to throw in her two cents: "we are quite certain that Tobias is not insane either: I literally have no memories of my own existence before meeting him in his hospital room. I did, however, have many memories about his own life - that is, the life the original Tobias lived before the current Tobias began inhabiting his body."
"Yup, I have both sets of memories from my lives - I'm mostly myself from the other world, but it's impossible not to be influenced by a whole second life's memories - even if it was significantly shorter."
Even my own pokemon paused to consider this: I suppose they hadn't thought out all of the implications to their logical conclusions.
Mr. Briney was basically done with my shit at this point, but he did give me one last comment on the subject, "I'm sorry son, but I don't think I can really help you: you already seem to surpass me in aura as far as I can see; I can only assume your ralts knows more than me about fairy aura specifically." He was now finally back to normal emotionally and was honestly aggrieved that he couldn't help me any further.
"That's fine sir, I was only just curious if you knew anything that might help me - but you're right; Ralts is the expert when it comes to fairy aura," Ralts became bashful at my comment, but I also felt a hint of love - that's new, but I'm happy she seems to be opening up more: now I'm cringing thinking about our stay in Dewford again.
Giving myself the ol' anime cheek slap, - much to everyone else's bemusement: amateur otaku indeed - I forcibly changed my emotions to become more positive.
We took some time to just think and finish eating. Eventually, we were all done however: I decided it was time to make tracks now; to give Mr. Briney time with Peeko to process my insane life.
"Alright sir, I know this was a lot to process; but we still have daylight to burn, and I think we can make it to Petalburg by nightfall if we hustle."
Mr. Briney was momentarily conflicted, but settled on ready acceptance, "that's fine sonny, but I hope you come back someday - I'd love to pick your brain about all of your pokemon knowledge."
"That's just a guarantee: I want your own stories of your adventures too." He decided to just be happy at that, after our slightly unhinged conversation.
Mr. Briney lead us to the front door, "I'll hold you to that; I will never refuse a guest who comes in good faith!" I knew he was good folk.
*Ralts POV*
It had been a couple days since they had been in Mr. Briney's cabin once again. Ralts had enjoyed more of his stories, but after his serious conversation with Tobias, (or whatever his original name was) they had left rather quickly.
They were now in Oldale Town. Tobias had promised he had a good reason to go and see Professor Birch in Littleroot: but he wouldn't say exactly why; something about potentially jinxing it. She wasn't sure what jinx had to do with anything, but Tobias stood firm to Milotic's constant prodding; much to the three girls' amusement - and Tobias' bulging forehead vein.
Ralts was just happy that Tobias had introduced her to Naruto in the first place - she now understood why the 'Great Politoed Sage' had perturbed him so greatly: he was literally just a copy of Jiraiya, wasn't he? It did make her wonder though... if Brawly was Naruto and his dad studied under 'Jiraiya'... was it all connected? She was very excited to find out!
As the group left the pokemon center, to finally go south to Littleroot, they spotted a familiar face coming out of the local pokemart - Ralts' group had already shopped there last night.
"Hoh there, is that little Amber I spot?" Tobias hammed it up - his own words - to the younger girl.
Amber, and her wingull on her shoulder, both looked at Tobias, before looking at the three girls - Ralts included. She squee'd in glee, "OMA, I didn't realize all of your pokemon were so beautiful!"
"Heh, I've been blessed," Tobias preened, as Ralts and her fellow pokemon also felt more confident - Ralts was feeling a lot lighter these days.
"Wingull has been doing really well lately: can you let him have another try at fighting Ralts?" Amber asked with a cute head-tilt.
Ralts perked up at this; she had barely beaten Wingull last time, but now she would show everyone her superiority, after all her hard training this past week!
"Sounds good to me; I can already tell Ralts is fired up about it: let's head over to the battlefield by the pokecenter then."
After quickly relocating to the center's battlefields, Ralts was once again facing off against Wingull. "Ready Ralts?" Tobias asked her; she responded with a feeling of determination.
"Alright, we're not taking it easy on you, this time! Ralts: you know what to do!" Tobias commanded, having worked out tactics with Ralts beforehand.
Ralts began to charge up confusions at a blistering pace compared to before, as Amber gave her own orders, "Wingull, don't forget about teleport: blast her with your new water pulse!"
Tobias hummed appreciatively, "Wingull already knows water pulse, eh? Impressive."
Unfortunately for Wingull, Ralts had grown even faster, as she expertly dodged every attack and easily flooded Wingull with psychic energy: it was only about a minute before Wingull was down for the count.
Amber looked a little lost at that, "are adults just that much better at being pokemon trainers?" she asked despondantly.
Before Tobias could respond to that, Ralts felt a strange energy come over her: she felt like she could resist it if she wanted, but it felt so good; she couldn't see why she would bother.
*Tobias POV*
Before I could try and cheer up Amber a bit, Ralts began glowing in a familiar white light - oh snap: it's happening! The former ralts' small body began to grow and change, as Kirlia eventually emerged from her evolution. "Kirlia!" came her cheerful verbal exclamation - she then felt quite sheepish at speaking out loud: usually she just used telepathy, so I could understand her too.
"Apologies," she sent to us; Amber included, as I saw her jerk a bit, "I am merely happy that I have gained in power through my evolution," Kirlia tried to sound somber - but the twirling and dancing she was now doing belied that notion.
Amber looked to have forgotten all about her earlier loss, "wow, my first in-person evolution! and a shiny pokemon at that! OMA, she's soooo cute!"
"Awesome stuff Kirlia! I knew you couldn't be far from evolving recently!" I praised her, sending my heartfelt happiness: I've never been so happy for my aura, that helps my pokemon become stronger, faster - seeing them become more comfortable in their own skin will never get old. Milotic and Espeon also gave Kirlia their sincere congratulations.
After we said goodbye to Amber, - somehow, I think we'll meet her again: call it intuition - my group finally started on to the next destination: Littleroot Town.
*Prof. Birch POV*
Professor Birch, resident professor of pokemon habitats in Littleroot Town, was in a bit of a tizzy today: he had this cyndaquil egg still on-hand and he couldn't find anyone willing to take on the responsibility of it! Sometimes being in such a remote location was more detrimental than helpful...
The egg was due to hatch any day now and he wanted the occupant's first sight after hatching to be their forever-trainer: cyndaquil were very loving pokemon by nature and this one deserved the best he could find... which was currently nobody at all.
As he was fretting about this in his office, his aide came in to tell him that somebody wanted to talk to him in the front foyer: a fairly common occurrence; being in such a remote location meant that he could talk to everyone who came to him in person.
Taking the egg in its incubator with him, - he wasn't letting it out his sight until it hatched - Birch went to meet the young man that wanted his attention; he was always happy to interact with curious young people.
The blonde young man had both an espeon and a - shiny! - kirlia by his side: Birch even spotted a milotic listening in from outside - wow, this young man had some extremely rare pokemon. "Hello young man, what can I help you with today?"
"Well, it was more of what I could help you with: but do you mind if I ask what pokemon's in that egg you're carrying?"
Birch preened, "it's a very rare pokemon in Hoenn: cyndaquil."
"Those are native to Johto, right?" he said, looking extremely interested: hmm, this young man knew his stuff.
"That's right, I was lucky enough to get an egg for each of the Johto 'starters' from Professor Elm as a gift for some help I gave him earlier this year. But where are my manners: I didn't even ask for your name."
"I'm awful with names: name's Tobias; nice to meet you professor!" What a polite young man.
"So what do you think you can do for me?"
"Well, you see how I have a Kirlia here... long story short: what do you know about fairy type pokemon?"
Birch choked on his own saliva at that: this man has insights in to fairy pokemon!? After regaining his composure, Birch quickly asked: "not nearly enough - what can you tell me!?"
"Well, I'll let Kirlia tell you herself: she's a very good teacher."
Birch then felt a questioning probe from Kirlia - she was very good with her psychic abilities for a not-fully-evolved pokemon. Easily accepting her mental request to communicate, Birch listened to what she had to say...
XX
Birch was more excited than he had been in a long time - he had been sniffing around the gardevoir coven for years: but they would never give him any hard answers about anything, least of all fairy typing. This could be the breakthrough that the scientific community had been hoping for for decades!
"Thank you for telling me all of this young lady; this might finally bring us into an age where the fairy typing is common knowledge: this is the perfect start!"
Kirlia sent her bashfulness to him, as Tobias just looked smug. "No problem professor; I promised Brawly over in Dewford that I would tell someone in the scientific community about it eventually: I just decided to do it a lot sooner than I had initially planned."
And Birch was glad he had! Now that he thought about it... feeling the weight of the egg he was still carrying... and looking at all of the rare pokemon Tobias already seemed to take good care of... "I actually have a proposal that I believe would interest you: what do you think of raising this cyndaquil for me? I can't find anyone around here who's interested right now, unfortunately. The egg is set to hatch any day now and I'm getting desperate."
Tobias' eyes grew wide at that and his grin grew to manic proportions: "do I want a rare pokemon egg that's about to hatch? Is the sky blue? Heck yeah, I want it!"
Birch was relieved to hear this, as he handed Tobias the incubator directly, "I'm glad that this all worked out; I honestly have so much work to do: my wife does not want any babies in the house anymore, unfortunately."
"Yup, now: what do you recommend for lodgings in this quaint little town?"
*Espeon POV*
"So, you somehow knew that Birch would have that egg; didn't you?" Espeon asked Tobias, as they entered the little cabin they had rented for a night, just outside of Littleroot.
"Well, in the game, he has a choice of three - but I would have picked cyndaquil anyway."
Espeon hummed at that, "so, hoping for another member of your harem?"
Tobias shot her a disturbed look: "Hell no: this is literally going to be my child; I've always kinda wanted a kid - never had a good opportunity for one though... you're more than welcome to be a mother alongside me if you want," Tobias asked hopefully.
Espeon was rather shocked at this, "couldn't you have told me about this beforehand?"
Tobias gave his signature cringe, "I didn't want to get your hopes up, in case I was wrong."
Espeon paused at that - it's true that she was already invested in the egg... she hadn't even known it existed for a whole day yet: but she would already kill anyone who dared harm it. "Alright: perhaps you have a point," she said to a smug Tobias, who had overheard her entire mental monologue.
"I'm glad to know you're on board with my impulsive whim... but there's a reason Kirlia volunteered to stay at Birch's house; while we have this cabin all to ourselves..." he trailed off leadingly. Milotic had also opted to stay in a local pond.
Tobias set the egg's incubator on the couch in the living room, before the two of them made their way to the bedroom.
*Sexy times start*
Espeon was still fairly new at this, but she had been looking up the subject on her own time. She had looked up specifically where to caress Tobias with her psychic power to maximize his own pleasure: his own hands had already been fairly skilled; but she knew he had been researching as well.
As Tobias' unsurprisingly deft hands began to roam her body, she felt herself begin to moisten betwixt her thighs; oh that felt so good. She began returning the favor, returning gentle caresses to all of his own sensitive areas. His cock, which had been only starting to harden fully, became rock-hard as it poked into her stomach.
"That feels amazing, holy cow, keep that right up," his 'country' accent was showing - it only aroused Espeon further.
Espeon kept at it as Tobias brought her mouth to his, to begin the next phase of their night together. The way his tongue felt in her mouth, as they swapped saliva back and forth was heavenly.
Eventually, Tobias asked mentally, "are you ready?" When she responded positively, he broke the kiss - only to flip Espeon onto her haunches. "I bet you'll love doggy-style."
Espeon wasn't sure what a dog was exactly: - or a cow - but when he started plowing into her arcanine-style, she immediately knew it would be her favorite position going forward.
She had thought her first time was good; the feel of Tobias' large penis wrecking her internally was about ten times better right now. After a few minutes of precise thrusting, Tobias let out a grunt, "It's coming: take my seed; we're going to be parents soon!"
This brought Espeon to her own explosive climax: the primal nature of being filled by her lover's seed was the best thing she had ever experienced...
*Sexy times end*
As I lay in bed with Espeon in my arms: - still dripping my cum from three rounds of the best thing I've ever felt - we basked in the afterglow.
I was going to say something, - probably very dopey, I'm so fucking high right now! - but just then we heard a low cry from the living room.
I immediately jumped out of bed and scrambled on my boxers: Espeon was already out of the room.
When I first gazed upon that little cyndaquil kit... well my heart grew three sizes that day.
This was the easiest chapter yet to write: I was really feeling this one; always wanted a good kid.
