Paimon floated over to him, curious about his demeanor.
"What's up?"
He grinned. "I've been invited," he said, "to one of the greatest duels in history?"
"Are you going to Smash Brothers?! Huh, people might be upset to see another anime swordsman…"
"No, no," he said with a chuckle, "I'm going to Death Battle."
"Huh?"
"They've announced matchups for next season, and a matchup with me was on one of the stretch goals. They made that goal. I'm going to be the first Genshin character to star in a Death Battle!"
"Oo, you excited?"
"Kind of nervous, honestly. I mean I'm not as interesting as Xiao or Ei. I'm just…me. What if people get a look at me and they hate me? What if I make them think badly about the rest of us? What if…?"
"Hey, calm down. They're going to love you. Even if you don't win, they'll say you put up a good fight. Plus, have you seen the quality of the episodes from last season? They're going to do you justice, Paimon knows it."
