This is a Resolutions story! As any Janeway/Chakotay fanfic writer'll have you know, we all try our hand at one of these at some point in our fanfic carreer, and this is my take on what happened if Kathryn had loosened up on New Earth a little sooner, like a month or so before Voyager came back for them. Mostly smut/fluff and angst!

When Esther goes for a walk with her dog Max, she witnesses the crash of a small plane. At least that's what she believes, until she approaches the crash site and discovers that the plane isn't one and the injured pilot is still alive. While on shore leave Chakotay experiences an unpleasant bug bite. This leads to an embarrassing and awkward misunderstanding in Sickbay and then an important conversation.
