Chapter 70.

It didn't take too much long for the Shepherds to arrive, however to my surprise, everyone looked defeated, tired and heavily injured, is Kellam dead!? oh, he's still breathing, holy shit, that scared jump me a bit, I just saw his big armored ass getting dragged on the ground, by a very burnt Nowi, while leaving a trail of blood all over the ground and I just assumed he was dead.

But overall, everyone looked like they just went to war or something, even Anna was surprised and stared at everyone in concern, Robin suddenly came into the Pokémon Center and dragged himself through the ground, until he eventually stopped in the middle of the lobby and layed there groaning in pain.

Chrom came in next, while carrying Sumia in his arms, the Pegasus Knight was unconscious and bleeding a lot from somewhere, Emmeryn followed next, while also dragging Lissa by the nape of her clothes, Lissa looked to be unconscious and quite injured as well.

The entire unit of the Shepherds were in rough shape actually, which made me wonder, just how did this happened to them, "what the hell happened to you guys".

Everyone just groaned in pain but didn't moved or even tried to answer my question and instead they just dropped into the middle of the Pokémon Center, immediately, Blissey came running and began to haul everyone into rooms, it was here that Tione and Tiona arrived.

Though, unlike the Shepherds, they were completely fine, they just waltzed into the Pokémon Center, though they did look worried, both twins, immediately saw me and walked over to me, Tione leaned down towards me since I'm sitting and gave me a kiss, "welcome back Rean".

I of course kissed her back, which made her give me a beautiful smile, before I could respond to her greeting, Tiona, suddenly jumped into my lap and sighed, she then nuzzle my neck and said, "welcome back, Rean, we missed you".

I smiled and hugged Tiona with one arm and grabbed Tione's hand with my other hand, "it's good to be back, sorry it took me a while, but there were a lot of Bandits to deal with, the reports weren't kidding, this was a very serious problem".

Tione shook her head and then patted my cheek, "it's fine, we kept ourselves busy, the Shepherds have improved a lot and are looking forward to showing you, what they can do now, some even got closer as well, they have been bonding a lot during this time in training".

Tiona nodded and then said, "they certainly have been working hard, Emmeryn, Tharja, Olivia and Libra caught up to everyone in no time and joined the others with their training, they of course have been getting training from some of the Pokémon as well".

I nodded to the twins and then decided to ask about what had happened to the Shepherds, for them arrived so injured and tired "then, what happened? the Shepherds looked very rough up".

Tiona giggled and then answered my question, "ah, the Shepherds reached the fifth floor of the Labyrinth and got cocky".

I couldn't help but wince at the mentioned of the fifth floor of Gaea's Labyrinth, now, I love Gaea, she and me are now bonded and like each other a lot, just like with Astraea and Excalibur, I love and cherish Gaea.

But, I will be the first one to say, that Gaea can be a right sadistic woman when it comes to her Labyrinth, me and the girls have always been thankful of Gaea for giving us a place to grow strong, while also facing powerful opponents.

It has helped us improve as well as level up constantly, but Gaea's Labyrinth is based on the Dungeon of Danmachi, which means that, on certain floors, the difficulty of the Labyrinth spikes, randomly and considerably.

Now, to us, what makes the Labyrinth great, is that the monster's power and levels scale up to ours, this makes sure, we're always being challenged and that we can get something out of training on floors we have already cleared.

It's why, I don't go inside the Labyrinth with the Shepherds, otherwise monsters on my level might appear and that would be a cruel and a quick death to them, Tiona and Tione can go with them, because they both can kill the monsters that appear on their level quickly enough, while also keeping an eye on the Shepherds.

My Pokémon also go with them, because the Labyrinth doesn't scale up the spawns to their levels, since they're my familiars and don't count as players, per say, which is why they have their own Dungeon, where I go with them to train and get some Pokémon Battles going with the Fake Pokémon that spawn in there.

So, upon reaching the fifth floor, the difficulty of the Labyrinth spike up quite high, Monsters begin to have Elemental resistances and some can even absorb Elemental Damage to heal themselves, there's even a few monsters that are even immune to certain type of weapons.

All of this forces you to adapt and expand your skill set, though if needed, I, my girlfriends and my daughters don't really need to worry about that, since we have skills that break into Resistances, Absorb and even immunities, is it cheating? sure, you can call it that.

But past the fifth floor, we'll galdly accept and use any advantage we can get, because not only do we have to worry about things like resistances and what not, but starting at the fifth level, all monster's levels are at least ten level past ours, all to add more difficulty to the Labyrinth and the monsters inside.

Not only that, but traps and Monster rooms begin to spawn, along with field bosses, for traps, we sometimes get generic stuff, like explosive chests, or poison dipped arrows to even pitfalls, but once on a while we get some real nasty ones.

I remember Serafall being almost showered in lava once, that scared the shit out of us and had all of us in a panic, thankfully, Serafall avoided the lava shower, by using her wings to flap herself away in a instant, now, most would think 'but Rean! your a Dragon God, traps like these shouldn't do anything to you' well, fuck that, Gaea made sure, that all the traps in the Labyrinth can't be affected by anything I or the girls can do nor our skill or abilities.

If we fall into a trap, then we have to get out of it ourselves the mundane way, or die and get sent to the entrance, and let just say, dying in one of those trap, even if it's not real, sucks, a lot!.

Now, next we have the Monster Rooms amd those are horrible, they're random and you never know when your going to step into one, but a Monster room is a nasty trap, one in which a room or area is sealed off and a bunch of very powerful Monsters begin to spawn, along with a boss.

Now, most would think, that a bunch of Monsters aren't that much of a big deal, well, the Monsters that spawn in the Monster Rooms, are twice the level you are and the boss is even more powerful, most of the time, I have to go all out when getting caught in one.

Thankfully, Gaea had mercy on me and the rest of the family and made Monster Rooms a rare event, which speaks of how unlucky the Shepherds were to stumble into one, "ah, that's explains their condition, but it seems they made it out, that's impressive.

Tione giggled and then nodded, "barely though, there were plenty of casualties and everyone pretty much used up their stock of healing items, but in the end, they were able to come out of the Monster Room victorious".

Tiona grinned and then went on, "though, they're definitely not feeling like winners right now, but this was a good experience, it's never a good idea to grow too used to always winning.

Getting a good challenge like this, helps you grow, it's why we all love the Labyrinth, honestly? I'm so happy Gaea made it for us, it so much fun!".

I could feel Gaea blush within my soul, though she quickly cleared her throat and spoke up (I'm happy that the girls appreciate my hard work! it makes me proud to hear, that my Labyrinth is fun to all of you.

It's times like this this, that make me happy to havel eft my world and those ungrateful adventurers, you guys value what I do!).

I smiled and inwardly nodded to Gaea, *your the best Gaea, it's thanks to you that I, my daughters, my Pokémon and the girls can continue to grow and grow, stronger without limits*.

I felt Gaea smiled and hug my soul tightly, which felt a bit odd, like having someone squeeze my chest from the inside, suddenly Tione noticed Anna sitting besides us, she smiled at her and then spoke up, "oh! sorry we ignored you there, we we're just so happy to see Rean".

Anna smiled and shook her head, "don't mind me! in fact, that was both sweet and adorable! oh, my name is Anna by the way".

Tione nodded, while Tiona intently stared at Anna for a fee second, until she spoke up, "um... do we know you? you seem familiar... oh! aren't you that Merchant girl that we helped a while a go?".

Anna just smirked in amusement, I think all Annas get a kick out everyone confusing them with each other, Anna soon shook her head and then explained to Tiona what was going, "sorry, but that was my sister actually, I'm another Anna".

Tione and Tiona deadpanned at Anna, then turned their heads to look at me, I gave them a nod and then decided to explain a bit, "she's actually telling the truth, there's a lot of Annas in this world.

They all look alike and are Merchants, so, expect to see more Annas around this world, especially this one since she wants to join the Shepherds".

Tione and Tiona looked perplexed at what I just told them, I don't blame them though, they might be twins, but even they don't look identical, like the Annas do.

After that explanation and introductions, I decided to spend some time explaining what Anna told me about what my future self and everything he seemed to have done in the past, might as well, since I needed to wait for the Shepherds to be healed anyways.

After a while, I explained everything Anna revealed about my future self's actions, Tione looked utterly tired by the end of it and honestly? I felt the same way, Tiona however, found it amusing and so, she was laughing her ass off at the moment.

She seems to believe that my future self was just fucking with me for shits and giggles, which I don't doubt, Anna was just having fun at their reactions, though she also seems to agree with Tiona, Tione sighed and then rubbed her forehead, "only you Rean... only you would do something like this".

I sighed and nodded, I can't help but agreed with her, this sort of shit always happens to me, Tiona giggled a bit more before calming down and then asked, "so! when are getting those notes?".

I smiled at Tiona, who was still sitting on my lap and answered her questions, "we'll go after the war, we should have time then, to both, get the notes and for me to learn from them what I need to learn how to create portals.

Plus, I want to experiment a bit with whatever is in those notes first, I also want to train and practice more with my other Domains, I think that besides wanting to mess with me, my future self was trying to make me realize something about that".

Tiona nodded and then smiled, "sooo~ roadtrip?".

I chuckled and gave her a nod, which got her all excited and whooping in cheer, Tione smiled at her twin, while Anna looked like she was enjoying the energy coming from Tiona's cheerfulness.

Suddenly Chrom, Robin and Emmeryn came out of their rooms and headed towards us, all three of them, sat on the lobby and tiredly groaned, which looked rather funny in my opinion.

I've never seen them do that after all, though, I still waited for them to relax a bit and speak up first, it was Emmeryn who spoke first after about a minute or so, "welcome back Rean, I'm sorry we greeted you in such a state...".

Robin rubbed his face and sighed, "we almost got beaten, it was only because of Olivia's Pokémon dances and Tharja's Status effect curses, that we were able to scrunch up a victory".

Chrom nodded, "we still have more training to do... that trap was horrible".

I smiled at my friends, while all three slumped on the couches of the lobby, I didn't have the heart to tell them that no matter how much they train, Monster houses will always have Monsters way above their level.

They are traps after all, still, it seem like Olivia already leaned some Pokémon Dance attacks, but what I heard about Tharja was something unexpected, "I knew Olivia would learn from my Pokémon some dancing moves, but what do you mean by Tharja's status effect curses?".

Robin smiled and then explained, "well, Tharja has been learning a few tricks with some of your Pokémon, by learning how some of their attacks work, she has been able to add their attack's effect to her dark magic spells".

Huh? that's actually impressive, "from which Pokémon is she learning from?".

Emmeryn answered my question, before even Robin could think about its, "she's been learning from Darkrai, Gengar, Mismagius, Frosslass, Umbreon, Mimikyu and even Yvetal".

I nodded, I honestly want to see what she can do now, but that can wait, "okay, first, we have to restock our healing items supply, so I'll starg making some more I bulk soon, though we should buy some just incase a d for normal everyday use, the stuff I make is for emergencies, then we'll see about really kicking up your training but first, let me tell you about what happened while I was dealing with the Bandits".

I then spent the next hour talking to Emmeryn, Chrom and Emmeryn about the sheer amount of Bandits I had to deal with, about Anna wanting to join the Shepherds and the fact, that the Legendary Birds, Legendary Dogs and I, dealt with the Bandits for a long while.

Emmeryn and Chrom listen intently and even took notes of all the cities, Caravans and towns that were attacked by Bandits, they want to later check up on them, give out reparations and aid if needed.

It shows how dedicated they both are about their people, Robin made notes and was already making plans on how to deal with future rises of Bandit activity, all so this sort of thing won't happen again.

During our talk, the Shepherds began to walked out of their recovering rooms, they all greeted me and welcomed me back with smiles in their faces, though seeing that I was busy, they decided to go ahead and begin to restock our supplies, plus some of them wanted to get a few other things, they think would be useful to them during their Dungeon diving.

After that, Anna introduced herself, Chrom and Robin actually confused her for her sister, the one we rescued a while back, this was becoming a running joke or something, but Anna quickly explained that it was her sister and that she was another Anna.

Which confused and surprised, both Robin and Chrom quite a bit, but Emmeryn actually knew about the Annas and had even done business with some of them before, something Anna was aware off, but in the end, Chrom accepted her and she became a Shepherd.

A few days later.

I spent the next few days making new Healing Gels of all types and Life Bottles, sure we bought some of them but the stuff I make is more potent and effective, so we keep those in reserve or the Shepherds carry some at all times in case of an emergency but besides that, I spent some time with the Shepherds.

Especially Nowi, who apparently missed me quite a bit and was now constantly around me, I didn't mind, plus she likes to help me while I'm doing something, so I had a little helper now.

Anna got along pretty well with everyone and has accepted to handle the Pokemart, she even expanded the merchandise, with stuff from all over the Fire Emblem world, which was very helpful to everyone.

One thing that worries me, is Anna and Tharja getting together often, both are always talking about something and I'm pretty sure it has to do with me, they have even been talking with Tyuule and the Warrior Bunnies, I just hope they don't go over board with whatever they're planing.

One thing I noticed as well, is that the Shepherds are so much closer to each other, just as the twin told me, I guess, that training and going Dungeon Diving all the time and literally fighting for the lives helped them all bond better together.

People like Panne, Tharja and even Lon'qu seemed much more comfortable and at ease around all of us, which is great, I'm seriously glad they feel more comfortable with us, but now that I finished making and restocking our healing supplies I decided to check on the Shepherds and see how they're doing.

It didn't take long for me to find one my friends, Lissa was standing just outside the edge of Xeno Town, looking bored as all hell, she even sighed loud, as if trying to let the whole world know she was bored, " I thought dying of boredom was just an expression...".

Robin suddenly walked over to her from somewhere in town, he must have seen her and came by to see what she was up to, a bored Lissa is a dangerous Lissa after all she often pranks people when she's bored, though most of the time is harmless little things.

though lately and for some unknown reason, Robin has been a constant target to her pranks, well before and a bit after we're rescued Emmeryn, now that she was safe, Lissa went back to being a little gremlin, but inwardly, we were all glad that she was back to her old self.

Robin must have heard Lissa complaining about her boredom, because he sighed and then said, "all those pranks, and your still bored?".

Lissa turned around when she heard Robin speak to her, she sweatdropped a bit at being called out on her pranking nature, but she still greeted him, "oh, hi, Robin.

Yeah, it's not get much fun messing with the others...their reactions are all quiet and stale and... blaaah, I mean, they just stare, or sigh, or walk away shaking their head...

Well except Rean, he laughs at my pranks, but I can't catch him with one... sneaky, cheating, all knowing Dragon...

But, leaving cheating Dragons with all kinds of abilities aside... nobody else does the rubbery thing with their face that you do"

Rubbery thing? what does she mean by that? and hey! it's not my fault I can sense her and her pranks a mile away! my skills are always on!.

Robin seemed perplexed about what Lissa just told him, "I do a rubbery thing with my face?".

Lissa giggled and then nodded, "but don't worry! you're safe, a promise is a promise after all, I'm not thrilled about it, but I don't want you to hate me, so... no more pranks... well, not to many or to mean, hehe".

Robin stared at Lissa in silence for a little bit, Lissa just smiled at him and let him think, until Robin sighed and then said, " all right Lissa, I give you permission to prank me again, I won't hate you for it, I promise".

What? but why though?, Lissa seemed just as surprised as me, but that didn't last long, in fact, she quickly smiled and looked very excited, "wait, really!?".

Robin nodded and suddenly took out a small velvet box, I widen my eyes upon seeing the box, after Chrom and Frederick proposed to Sumia and Sully, I had made sure to always have proposal rings at the ready, in fact, I had a wide selection in my Workshop.

I just told the guys to just grab the one they like the most and use it, most of the guys took it as a joke, after all, they aren't anywhere close to any girl, to actually have an use for a ring, but it seems like a Robin remembered.

Because what he has in his hand, is one of the rings I made, Robin showed the box to Lissa and then smiled, "But! on one condition... you have to open those box first".

Lissa grinned and shook her head, thinking that Robin wanted to prank her first, "ha! no way, mister! I know that trick! a bunch of snakes or bugs or guts or whatever is gonna pop out!".

What the fuck, who the hell gives someone a box filled with guts and say, 'hah! got you!' you have to have a very sick sense of humor to do something like that to someone, Robin however chuckled and then said, "... perhaps, its up to you, I'm not forcing you".

Lissa seemed to be really struggling about whether she should open or not open the box, "hmm... I'm scared, but... gya! that thing with your face, I miss it so much!... okay then, here goes...".

Lissa warily reached for the box and took it from Robin, she then began to slowly open it, while flinching and expecting something to jump at her at any moment, until she grew tired of the tension and then, quickly opened the box, while closing her eyes, "yaaaah!".

Robin watched all that with a deadpan on his face, while I was trying hard not to laugh, Lissa suddenly opened an eye and took a peek inside the box, only to gasp when she saw what was inside, " a ring? wait, Robin, what's going on?"

Robin stared at Lissa in silence for a few seconds, while she stared at him confused as to what was going on, until Robin finally answered her question with a blush on his face, "I... I love you Lissa, I love your loyalty, I love your candor, I love your spirit... gods and Rean bless me! I think I even love your pranks!.

So... what do you say? will you be my wife?".

Wow, damn, I didn't know Robin had it in him, that was a big confession he dropped on Lissa and quite the romantic one too, suddenly, Lissa sniffed and then began to cry, which startled me and Robin, I mean, we have never ever seen her cry like this, not even when Emmeryn was kidnapped.

Sure she fainted and was depressed and worried for a long while, but never cried like this, Robin panicked and I was not that far off either, "are you crying!? don't cry! I'm sorry! you can say no, it won't hurt my feelings!".

Lissa shook her head, while sobbing and wiping her eyes with the back of her hands, "no stupid! I'm happy, I just... I've loved you for so long!".

Huh? since when!? [well, Lissa wouldn't have pranked Robin that much if she didn't like him, she was trying to get his attention the only way she knew how, pranking him to death and back].

I sighed at the silliness of it all butbit does makes sense, meanwhile Robin was utterly shocked and I don't blame him at all, "what!? really?... since when?".

Lissa smiled and then cheerfully answered Robin's questions, "yes, really! and since the very beginning!... I only pranked you to get your attention, Chrom and Rean get to be close to you all the time, when you meet, or when you talk strategy or when you three are just hanging out... but I didn't have anything like that...".

Ah, Astraea called it, though I didn't expect Lissa to be jealous about me and Chrom spending so much time with Robin, to be fair, we do spend a lot of time together, so I can get why she got jealous, Robin sighed and shook his head, "Lissa, you could have talked to me about anything, anytime... I can't belive I never noticed...".

Lissa giggled and nodded, "me either... but now we've got all the time in the world to spend together! ooo! plus I opened the box, so I get to prank you again, right!?".

Robin nervously began this sweat, "... I thought the pranks were just to get my attention and if we're getting married, I'd say you got my attention, sooo...".

Lissa laughed and then mischievously smiled at Robin, "you think I'm going to marry that face and never make it do that crazy rubbery thing?! your nuts!".

Robin gaped at his future wife unsure about what to say about what she just told him "what!? hey! I'm not sure I... ah, well, if that's what it takes to make you happy... then so be it.

Just got easy, we won't have all the world together if I die of a heart attack".

Lissa laughed and shook her head, "silly Robin, I'll just carry a Life Bottle with me at all time forever!".

Robin sweatdropped at Lissa's response to his request to take it easy on him, looks like he's not getting any mercy from his future wife, Lissa smiled, a big and very happy smile at that, and then said, " wow, what a day... you must be tired out from all the excitement!.

Sooo... how about a quick shoulder rub from your new wife to be, hmm?".

Robin sighed but nonetheless, smiled at Lissa, who smiled back at him, she then took a better look at the ring Robin gave her, "oh my gosh! this ring is huge! hehe, Rean outdid himself, but forget that! we're going to have a great life together, Robin!".

Lissa soon hugged Robin and even gave him a kiss, which kinda caught him off guard, I then decided it was time for me to leave and let them have their privacy, looks like we're going to celebrate the new future, husband and wife, so I better let everyone know.

That night, everyone celebrated Robin's and Lissa's future together, Chrom, Sumia and Emmeryn happily welcomed Robin into the family, Chrom was very happy to have one of his best friends, becoming his brother by marrying Lissa.

Emmeryn was happy for Lissa and was proud of her for finding a good man to spend her life with, Sumia was just happy their little family grew, we all threw a party to celebrate, one where everyone drank, partied and spent time together just having a lot of fun.

Sometimes, we forget to relax and enjoy the small things like this, we get so busy with all kinds of things, that it just skips our minds, I admit, I have a serious problem with that, since I get so busy doing one thing or another, that I forget to just enjoy my life.

Luckly, I have my Pokémon, my daughters and the girls to always remind me, to have fun, enjoy my life and most of all, spend time with those I love and care for, I have a lot of people I really care for, so I'm lucky and as I sat with all the Shepherds having fun.

I couldn't help but smile and look on with a bit of pride, at the lives I have changed, I turned my sight over to Emmeryn and stared at her for a bit, she was sitting there, drinking and laughing with Lissa and Maribelle.

To think, that she was fated to died on that day we rescued her, but I changed that, all of that, and I won't stop at that either, sure I might have brought more changes that I would have liked, but in the end, all I have to do is hit back harder.

Next time Grima comes with another surprise, the Shepherds, the twins and I will be more than ready, I will protect this, with everything I have.
