Chapter 74.
I stood besides Chrom and Robin as I watched both the Ylissean and Feroxi Armies roar towards Gangrel's Castle and the enemies, Frederick suddenly walked up to us and called out to Chrom, "milord, I've a report from Khan Flavia, the Plegian Army is on disarray".
Chrom raised and eyebrow in surprise, he certainly didn't expect these types of news, meanwhile I smiled knowing that at this point, most of the Plegian Army was already fed up with the war and Gangrel as well, Chrom quickly asked Frederick for more details, "how do you mean?".
Frederick nodded and quickly began to futher explain, "it seems many of their soldiers are opposed to futher violence, there had been infighting, desertion... Gangrel is tying to stamp out the mutiny by force, but with little success.
Outside of a few faithful who serve him directly, his Army has all but collapsed, only the enhance Risen and the few Dragonoid Risen still fully remain in his Army".
Chrom smiled at the news, "this is incredible news, Emmeryn must be happy that this is happening".
Frederick smiled and nodded, "yes milord, lady Emmeryn is extremely happy, in fact Gangrel's men chant her name and called out to the purple Dragon as they abandon the field, her words and the fact that she rode on Rean's head during her escape, have made her a folk hero of sorts.
Lady Emmeryn would also like to request Rean, to help the Plegians who are leaving Gangrel's army, get away safely".
I sighed and shook my m my head, "that woman is always making me work more and more".
Chrom and Robin chuckled in amusement, they both know I'm not complaining, but rather pointing out a fact, still, it is amusing how Emmeryn relies on me this much, when before, she used to try and handle everything by herself, it makes everyone happy, that she's no longer trying to handle and take care of everything.
With that in mind, I smiled and then took out an Ultra Ball from one of my Pockets, I quickly expand it and then throw it above me, the Ultra Ball instantly popped open and after a flash of white Iight, Mew appeared.
Mew danced and twirled around in mid air for a few seconds before floating down and hugging my face, I smiled and patted her back while slightly laughing, "hey Mew, mind doing me and Emmeryn a favor?".
Mew let go off my face and then floated a bit away from me, she then nodded with a hig cheerful smile on her face, letting me know that she was ready to do anything I request, I know I can count her, but it doesn't hurt to ask, "can you teleport any Plegian willing to leave, away from the battlefield and into a safe place?".
Mew quickly nodded, twirled in mid air and then disappeared in a flash of blue light, Chrom looked over to me and then began to speak "I wonder, why it took me so long to understand? Emmeryn believes all people desire peace.
She knows, that deep down, the Plegians wanted it too, it just took her kind words to bring it to the surface".
Robin smiled at a Chrom and gave him a small nod in agreement and understanding, I gave him a grin as well, knowing that Chrom came out of this experience, with a new perspective on people and war.
Chrom then turned around and looked towards where Gangrel's Castle layed, "today we put an end to the Mad King, Gangrel, and bring peace back to the land, today war ends!".
The Armies stood ready for battle, Chrom lead the Shepherds, while Flavia and Basilio lead the Feroxi Army, Emmeryn took the reigns on the Ylissean Army, all three massive units stood at the ready and roaring towards what remain of the Plegian Army and Gangrel.
The few loyal soldiers Gangrel was able to keep, took a step back in fear and apprehension, while the Enhance Risen and the Dragonoid Risen roared back at us, Gangrel suddenly walked up to the front of one of his Castle's walls and enhanced his voice with Magic, " good day, my little princeling! what? no Dragon? now monsters fighting with you today!?".
Chrom grinned at Gangrel and then enhanced his voice with Magic as well, " we won't need their help today Gangrel! no more talk! today you die and peace returns to Ylisse and Plegia!".
Gangrel scowled and then spat on the ground in anger, "pah! such hypocrisy! you despise me, wretch! you want to cut me down! you don't know the first thing about peace, no man does!".
Chrom shook his his head in disappointment, this isn't the same Chrom I met that day when the twins and I arrived to this world, this is a Chrom who is more wise, more open minded, but most of all, more experienced, pitiful words from someone like Gangrel, won't affect him, "I know more that you ever will".
Gangrel sneered at his inability to provoke Chrom, soon enough though, he began to rant in anger, "more than me? more than me!? Bwa ha!... you are me! when life asks you a question, you answer with blood!".
Chrom sighed, but then stood tall and said, "maybe you're right... I will never be like my sister, but I cannot forgive men like you, men who sow nothing but evil, were I alone, I might be driven to madness after everything you tried to do... or worse.
But I'm not alone, my friends and brothers in arms stand behind me, together we'll put an end to your madness and thirst for war!".
Gangrel looked absolutely livid, but a second later, he then glared at Chrom before speaking up once again, "... are you done? may I vomit now? bwa haha! what a flowery harangue! men are beasts! nothing more! we fight! we kill! we devour our prey!, beasts do not stand behind beasts, little prince... they use each other only so long as it suits their selfish purpose!".
Chrom shook his head and then looked at Gangrel as if he was stupid, "perhaps this explains why your own soldiers refuse to stand behind you? you are a poison, a festering wound, and I will do what my I must to end your madness!".
Gangrel scowled at Chrom again, that was a good burn from Chrom and I'm sure the Mad King felt it all too well, "such clever tongue you have, little prince... it will look quite fetching hanging on my mantel!".
I scoffed at the so called threat given by Gangrel, I then stepped forward and blocked Gangrel's so called intimidating glare towards Chrom, he of course glared at me, but I couldn't care any less about this man, "are you done measuring your dick against Chrom's? because let me tell you, your looking quite pathetic! just ask Sumia!?"
Sumia suddenly yelled from the back of the line, "yeah! Chrom is quite gifted! you don't have anything to measure with Mad King!".
Chrom gaped at his future wife's words, while the rest of the Shepherds laughed, I grinned at Chrom in amusement, while he shook his head and then yelled at his future wife, "Sumia! what are you saying!?".
Sumia just giggled a looked like she was having way too much fun, while Chrom palmed his face and groaned in embarrassment, I think Sumia has been hanging out with Tione and Tiona too much, in fact, the twins look mighty proud right now, that's the future Queen of Ylisse ladies and gentlemen.
Gangrel looked absolutely pissed now, not only are we openly mocking him, but he knows we're not taking him seriously, why would we? compare to the things the Shepherds have seen and done, he's nothing, not even threat, he just doesn't know how insignificant he is to us now.
Gangrel suddenly roared in rage and then waved his hand forward while ordering his army to attack, the Enhanced Risen and the still loyal soldiers he had left, immediately took off running towards us, Flavia and Basilio immediately ordered the Feroxi Army to attack the Plegian Soldiers.
While Emmeryn orderd the Ylissean Army to back them up, both Armies ran forward while yelling and roaring, all ready for battle and war, a few seconds later the Armies met mid battlefield and the battle took off full blast.
Clangs of steel meeting steel, screams of pain and clashes of weapons began to fill the battlefield, almost instantly the opposing army began to lose control of the battle, especially when the Feroxi and Ylissean Armies began to use the full power of the Enchantments on their weapons, armors and accessories.
Blasts of all sort of elements began to flash around the area, massive explosions engulfed the enemies and even the ground shook from the intensity of the battles going on.
Gangrel laughed as he saw his Army being massacred, a laugh filled with bloodlust and madness, "yes! draw closer! let the. charge at me in their rage! more of my soldiers shall greet them at every foolish step!".
More and more soldiers began to pour out of Gangrel's Castle, but even with their increasing numbers it was very evident that they wouldn't be able to move forward, instead, Gangrel's army was being pushed back by the Feroxi and Ylissean Army.
Robin watched this happening and frowned as the Enhanced Risen began to glow red and roar, "... looks like they're beginning to power up now".
Chrom nodded, "yes, but we knew this was coming, Gangrel is using his Human Soldiers to both, try and slow down our Armies and as a sacrifice for the Enhance Risen, what a despicable person".
I nodded in agreement with Chrom, "yeah, his a piece of shit for sure" I suddenly looked up and watched as a massive army of Wyvern Riders began to fly towards the battlefield, "Arial reinforcements huh?".
Robin looked up and narrowed his eyes, "Wyvern Riders... Chrom, it's time to send out the signal".
Chrom nodded, he quickly drew Falchion and then charged it with Dragon Type Energy, during training, the Dragon Type Pokémon began to teach Chrom how to channel the draconic energy within Falchion, after all, it was forged from a Dragon Fang.
It was only natural, that some of Naga's Dragonic Energy remained within the sword, so Chrom came to learn how to use some Dragon Type moves, all while using Falchion as a Foci.
Falchion soon began to glow with Dragon Type Energy and Chrom wasted not time in swing it upwards, a energy made Dragon like construct shot out of Chrom's Falchion and with a roar, flew into the sky.
Once it was hight enough, Chrom's Dragon Pulse exploded in the sky, soon after, purple blurs began to arrive into the battlefield through the sky, and after a few seconds, they were revealed to everyone in the battlefield.
With a few yells of battle, the Pegasus Knights arrived on their Spica Pegasus, the beautiful purple mounts glowed purple as they rode in the sky towards the Wyvern Riders reinforcements.
The Pegasus Knights suddenly flashed forward into the Wyvern Rider's formation and went through them like a hot knife through butter, many Wyvern Riders only had the chance to scream before plummeting towards the ground and dying upon their bodies hitting the floor below them.
Others, were completely destroyed on impact from the Stardust energy around the Spica Pegasi as they charged forward, they didn't even get to blink before they were killed and destroyed.
Gangrel growled in rage as he saw this, while Chrom smiled proudly, he had the Pegasus Knights train hard during our stay on my Pokéhome, going as far as even bringing them inside the Labyrinth in order for them to grow stronger and the results were beautiful.
But all of these deaths, only served to make the Enhance Risen more powerful, Robin stared as the Enhance Risen began to move now, no longer willing to wait to grow stronger via the deaths of Gangrel's army, "looks like they're making a move now".
Chrom looked over to the Enhance Risen, he then took another look, this.one towards the Dragonic Risen, "yes, but those Dragonic Risen seem to be waiting for something... perhaps another nasty surprise?".
I nodded in agreement, "I don't doubt it, but we're prepared for that, now, its time for all you of to move, those Enhance Risen could take down the Feroxi and Ylissean soldiers if they become stronger, we have to deal with them before they do so".
Chrom nodded and turned around to face the Shepherds who had been standing behind us and watching the battles, all of them were ready for this, and were just waiting for orders, just as planned.
Chrom nodded to the Shepherds and then gave us all a grin, "alright! let go and deal with those Enhanced Risen!".
Everyone roared in response while Chrom turned around to face the now rushing Enhanced Risen, he suddenly bent his knees and then, took off running at a very impressive speed, in fact, to everyone not a Shepherd, he was nothing but a blue blur moving through the Battlefield.
The Shepherds taking this as the signal to attack, immediately rushed forwards becoming blurs as well, I smiled and decided to step back a bit and watch the battles, it was time to see the fruits of everyone's efforts.
As Chrom moved in high speed, he raised Falchion above his head and channeled Holy Light through it, Risen are undead creatures, no matter what type they are or if they're Enhanced or Dragonic, they will always be weak to Holy Light.
So all the Shepherds learned how to Manipulate and channel Holy Light in some way or form, Spell casters Like Robin and Miriel learned how to infuse Holy Light into their spells, creating Holy Lighting or Holy Fire spells, while the more physical inclined Shepherds, learned Holy Light Sword, Axe and Spear Techniques.
Healers and Emmeryn learned pure Holy Magic Spells, some even at the Legendary Rank, which is why, Chrom was now running towards the Enhanced Risen while Falchion glowed white and left a shinning trail from its tip behind it.
Chrom soon reached an Enhanced Risen, in a flash of movement, he swung his sword high and to the side, the Risen didn't reacted right away and kept running, until his head fell off a few steps later and then burst into black smoke.
Chrom kept going and went through a group of Enhanced Risen in a positive second, Falchion still glowing White, only slashes of white light, flashed over the Enhanced Risen's bodies before they were cut apart and then burst into black smoke, Chrom kept going and then jumped up, he quickly began to spin while falling down on a Enhanced Risen.
He slashed downward and split the undead in half, before swinging Falchion forwards and unleashing a massive Holy Light energy wave towards the rest of Enhanced Risen he was targeting, cutting them down in a blink of an eye, Chrom then stood up, twirled Falchion a few times and then stabbed it onto the ground.
The Risen around him then exploded into black smoke, while he stood there and glared up towards Gangrel who was sneering at him, the Mad King was obviously pissed, not only at the ease in which Chrom took care of the Enhanced Risen.
But because Chrom even stopped to rest and glared at him, as if challenging the Mad King to come down and share the Enhanced Risen's fate, a swift death by Falchion's Blade.
Gangrel growled as his watched Chrom stand in the middle of the battlefield and glare at him, just how that naive little prince gotten this strong! he was struggling with a single Enhanced Risen a few days ago, this makes no sense! and what was that shinning white light?.
But that was not the only wrong thing in this picture, no, it wasn't just the little Prince who got this powerful, his entire merry band of rejects were decimating his Army and Risen with ease, even those who looked like Healers were blasting away with Spells he has never seen before.
Just what was this madness! this wasn't the war he wanted, this was a massacre, one if which he was on the side of the ones getting massacred like they were nothing! just what was happening!.
Dark Realm, Grima's Domain.
Grima watched the battle with an amused looked on it face, "they've gotten stronger, no doubt, that other Dragon has something to do with this... Plegia will lose this war before it would even fully begin, what a waste of time".
Grima stood up from his black throne and began to walk away, "it's time to wipe my hands off that fool Gangrel, he has outlived his usefulness, let him at least become useful one more time, if only to test my next experiment".
Grima laughed and a grin full of fangs suddenly appeared from the shadows of its hood, he wasn't that interested in this pathetic war, he had other ongoing plans happening, plans that will be more useful than this current one.
The Shepherds can claim this as a victory, but they better enjoy it, for it will be the last one they'll savor, because after today, Grima won't be just watching behind the scenes anymore.
A white robbed and hodded individual arrived into the battlefield, the robed person looked around the many people fighting, the person watched as many powerful individuals were fighting and decimating the enemy forces, this caused an amused smile to appear on the face of the hooded individual, "Rean, still making regular humans into weapons of mass destruction I see".
The hooded individual then continued to look around until it saw Rean, who was standing behind the battle and watching everything happening, on his face, was a very proud and happy smile, "there you are, I've wanted to see you from the moment I sense your presence~".
The hooded individual put down its hood and revealed a feminine face, with emerald green hair and eyes, this woman is beautiful, so beautiful in fact, that she can't be human, that's sort of beauty could only be called inhuman or godly.
The green haired woman suddenly giggled and then cheerfully smiled, "just wait a little longer Rean, big sister Naga is here to give you lots of headpats and hugs!".
I suddenly felt a shiver go down my spine making me jump in surprise, "what the fuck was that!?".
Tione and Tiona walked over to me and raised an eyebrow towards me as they stared at me in confusion, Tione then decided to ask, "what's wrong? I don't think I've ever seen you jump like that before".
I shook my head and looked around a bit, "I don't really know, I suddenly felt a shiver go down my spine, that was really unpleasant, like if someone was stepping over my grave or something...".
Tione looked perplexed, while Tiona hummed for a little bit, before speaking her mind about what I just said, "maybe you're catching a cold? er... can you even catch a cold?".
I chuckled and shook my head, honestly, Tiona's idea was really amusing, "no I can't get sick, no disease or virus could ever survive with my Stardust energy running through my body".
After explaining that to the twins, I went back to watching the Shepherds battle, though I still felt like something ridiculous was going to happened to me soon enough, that's just how my luck works unfortunately.
Meanwhile, back in the battlefield.
Sumia and Cordelia rode their Pegasus above the fighting Armies, both soon raised their Spears and channeled Mana through them, Sumia's Spear exploded in flames, while Cordelia's was engulfed in howling wind.
Both pulled their arms back and then threw their Spear as fast as they could towards the Enhanced Risen, both Spears broke through the sound barrier causing a loud boom to go off, the Spears then crashed between the Enhanced Risen detonating on impact.
A massive dome of wind and flames spread from where the Spears landed, the howling wind of Cordelia's Spear fanned the flames from the roaring fire on Sumia's Spear, creating a massive firestorm that incinerated every Enhanced Risen in a split second.
Meanwhile, Sully, Stahl and Frederick rode on there steeds at full speed, all three riders spread their Mana around their steeds, creating a spinning dome of energy to materialized around them.
The spinning domes began to spin faster and faster until the became drill of energy, Stahl, Sully and Frederick then bulldozed their way through the Enhance Risen, killing them and turning their bodies into black smoke on contact.
Lissa who was riding behind Maribelle, began to cast a Holy Spell, while Maribelle did the same, both soon finished chanting and pointed their hands towards the enemy, while calling out the name of their combo spell, "Akashic Torment!".
A massive white Magic circle spread from underneath a massive group of Enhanced Risen, the Magic Circle soon glowed and then, a massive surge of Holy Light exploded upwards from below the Enhanced Risen, who howled and roared in pain, before being destroyed.
Virion charged Holy Light into one of his arrows and them fired it above himself and towards the sky, while chanting, "O fragments of the heaven's light, heed my call and become power incarnate! I will finish you! Noble Roar!".
Virion summoned several orbs of light, then directed them forward, where they encircle and hit a group of Enhanced Risen multiple times, he then pulled on the energy string of his bow and charged an arrow, he quickly released it like a laser at the group of Enhanced Risen, the laser went through the enemies and then exploded into a dome of Holy Light destroying the Enhanced Risen.
Miriel smiled at her future husband feeling proud that he's been able to use Magic after her lessons, what Miriel neglected to remember, is just how much torture she made Virion go through by making him study so much, the poor bastard was technically forced to be able to use High leve Magic, which was a surprise, given that he had no talent in magic to begin with.
Olivia smiled and then began to dance, an aggressive and fast dance, one everyone in the Shepherds recognized as Dragon Dance, but this one has been heavily modified by Olivia, she first learned it from Dragonite.
Well, after she payed for the lesson with lots of hugs, but after learning how use Dragon Dance, Olivia then went about changing it and modifying it for her use, she understood how useful a dance that increases speed and power is, so she wanted to be able to spread the affects of the move to multiple people at once.
She spent a good few months changing the Pokémon move and in the end, she was successful, something that was evident when she finished her Dragon Dance and instead of glowing with Dragon Type Energy as usual, a Dragon Type Energy wave instead spread around her.
The Dragon Type Energy engulfed, Vaike, Lon'qu, Gregor and Gaius, their bodies glowed with the energy and their attack and speed was raised along with Olivia's who performed the Dragon Type attack.
She can only do this for four other people besides her, but that was great as it was, I'm sure she'll be able to improve her version of Dragon Dance in the future.
Vaike, Lon'qu, Gregor and Gaius, now empowered, took off running disappearing from everyone not a Shepherds vision's, they soon reappeared among another big group of Enhanced Risen, Gregor attacked first, he channeled Mana into his Sword and then stabbed it into the ground.
A shockwave traveled though the ground causing the Enhanced Risen to lose their footing, Lon'qu and Gaius them blurred out of sight and went through the Enhanced Risen, both ended on the other sides of the group and stood up, a second later the Enhanced Risen exploded into black smoke.
Vaike yelled as he jumped and them came down on top another group of Enhanced Risen, Axe first, he split an undead in half and when his Axe touched the ground, the ground cracked and sharp stones began to sprout from below the rest of the Enhanced Risen, impaling them and turning them into black smoke.
Panne ran forward and stopped in front of a group of Enhanced Risen, she stood up on her hind legs and then engulfed her fist with a massive amount of Fire Type Energy, a second later she swung her fist down onto the ground in front of her.
The Fire Type Energy shot forward through the ground and traveled towards the Enhanced Risen, as soon as the Fire Type reached Panne's targets, it detonated and melted the ground bellow the undead, until it suddenly and violently exploded.
Panne's Blast Burn caused destruction and havoc on the enemies side of the battlefield, but she quite didn't care, in fact, she was grinning and feeling happy to have been able to pull off, one of the most powerful Fire Type attacks.
Ricken raised a hand towards the sky and began to charge a massive amount of Mana, suddenly, countless Fireballs took form around him and above him, he then looked over a group of enemies and then lowered his arms down, the countless Fireballs shot forward towards his targets a second later.
The Fireballs barraged the enemy and carpeted the area around them in massive explosions, meanwhile Donnel rode on top of Nowi's back, the young man raised his sword and charged it with lighting, meanwhile, Nowi opened her jaws and charged Water Type Energy into her chest, she then fired off a massive Surf attack above the enemies.
The Enhanced Risen were soon swept away by the Surf attack, but before they could be sent away too far, Donnel swung his sword towards the water wave and shot a lightning energy wave.
The lighting technique struck Nowi's Surf attack a split second later, the water in the attack got completely electrified and as the Enhanced Risen were veing swept away they were electrocuted until they exploded into black smoke.
Libra ran forward and charged his axe with Holy light, he then swing towards the ground and released a massive Holy light wave that washed over the Risen, causing them to exploded into black smoke instantly.
Meanwhile, Tharja raised a hand and drained the Dark Energies keeping the Enhanced Risen moving, these Risen turned into dust a second, while Tharja then waved her hand towards another group of enemies and used the dark energy she had gathered from the first group of Risen to fired a barrage of pitch black energy balls.
