A Few Hours After They Returned From the Monster Hunter World
"Hey partner, you're back!" Erik greeted as Luminary arrived with Filo, the sisters and Hendrik.
"So what did we miss the past few days?" Luminary wondered.
"Well, Rab was telling us about Melromarc." Erik said.
"There is a person named Myra in town and some Dry Wiggler named El Cinco, we haven't formally met them yet." Jade explained.
"There's also Chiaki's Twilight counterpart." Mia chimed in. "She has gone insane from what we've heard."
"Yeah… Strange informed us after we overheard what Umber and Ruby were talking about." Luminary said.
"And we got word from Pyrrha." Sylvando said. "The poor darling is having problems. She is scared of using her powers and weapons. She locked her stuff in a closet including the weapon you have made for her."
"Whoa… that's a lot to go through. I might have to check on her later…"
"Big bro, I was hoping to explore more of this place and see new people." Filo said, gently tugging on his sleeve.
"Don't worry, I believe tomorrow we'll have time to explore, plus we can meet up with Team JNPR."
"Yay! Thank you, big bro~!"
"So, how'd it go down on your end?" Erik asked.
"Well, we gained a bunch of monsters and we defeated Adam."
"Ah, about time he went down. So who dealt the finishing blow?" Erik asked.
"Would you believe me if I said it was a combination of Weiss, Sienna and his Glavenus?"
"Ooof, the dinosaur bit back, I see. Did he eat him?"
"Sliced him in half. Though Mine turned him into a trophy and last we know, Hades took him into the Underworld." Veronica said.
Erik whistled. "That's a heck of a way to go."
"Yeah, but either way, if you free him up, he's just gonna die anyway. So it's a win-win regardless." Mia said.
"True." Luminary nodded as let out a yawn. "I'm headed for bed… good night."
"Night, bud." Erik waved as Luminary headed home with Filo accompanying him.
Once in his room…
"Man… a lot has happened these past few days." He said to himself while sitting on the bed. "Adam is facing a well deserved punishment and we freed the monsters from the Crimson Fang. Weiss didn't stain her hands with Adam's blood… and yet, I feel like the Schnee Family isn't out of the woods yet. Especially with Eggman… Weiss is not going to let go of what he did."
He sighed as he laid down. "I wonder if there's something I can do…"
He closed his eyes and went to sleep.
The next morning…
"Zzzz…"
"...Ig.. Ro…"
"Zzzz…"
"Big… Bro…"
"Zzzz…"
"Hey, wake up!"
A pillow hit Luminary in the face, causing him to wake up. "Nnngh… wha…?"
"You promised me you were going to introduce me to more of your friends!"
"Huh…? Oh!" Luminary sat up. "Alright, I'm up." He chuckled as he had an idea. "Okay, first things first, we got to go somewhere first before we meet up with the others."
"Okay!"
Later…
"What's this?" Filo asked as they were approaching the hospital.
"The hospital."
"The hospital?! Why?"
"I'm really concerned over you since you said you ate Phazon."
"It was just a stomach bug…" She mumbled.

The duo walked in, where they would immediately see Samus looking through a magazine. "Samus?" Luminary asked in surprise.
"Oh hey Luminary." Samus greeted, then spotted Filo. "Hmm? I didn't know Pit had a sister."
"This is Filo, she's from Melromarc."
"...Melt a mark?"
Luminary sweatdropped. "That's not even close… anyway, Filo, this is Samus Aran."
"Hiya~!"
Samus gave her a soft friendly smile and a wave. "Hey."
"So what are you doing here? I thought your legs were fine."
"Oh, they are. Peach just keeps insisting I still do "daily physical therapy" despite me being a hundred percent better."
"You know she deeply cares about her friends."
"I know, it's just that it feels like it's smothering a bit… and before you ask, yes, I told her that but she doesn't seem to mind one bit."
Mikan walked over. "Oh hi, Luminary! What can I-" She spotted Filo. "...Do for… you? Huh! So that's what Ibuki-san was mentioning earlier…"
"I was just wondering if-" Luminary's eyes shifted as he saw Medic walking by. "-If… Medic…?"
"Hello!" Medic waved.
"...You two made up?"
"Long story." Mikan said with a soft giggle.
"Anyway, I was wondering if either you two or another medical professional would check on Filo."
"Oh, what seems to be the problem?"
"She ate Phazon a long time ago."
"WHAT?!" Samus yelled, having overheard the conversation while Mikan's eyes widened in surprise.
"...Oh my." Mikan said with horror.
"Come along, frauline, let's do an examination on you." Medic said, hurrying Filo to a room.
"I just had a stomach bug!" Filo insisted.
"How the hell is she alive?!" Samus asked.
"She thought it was blueberry jam or something… and only got a stomach bug." Luminary responded.
""Only"? That's a load of bull! She definitely had some other side effects other than a so-called "stomach bug"." Samus said.
"I do have to agree… considering what Ruby-san experienced when she touched Phazon… or Haru-San, Viridi-san and so on…" Mikan nodded.
Meanwhile…
"Let's see here…" Medic mused as he was doing various tests on Filo.
"I told you, I'm fine."
"Well, zhat's what zhey all say before zhey get worse." Medic said, doing a few minutes of examinations, including feeling her heartbeat, doing a breathalyzer test, sticking a tongue depresser on her tongue and using her saliva to check her DNA. He also did a few reflex tests.
"It was just a stomach bug!" She insisted.
"Open your mouth for me, frauline." Medic requested as she did so. "Now you might feel some slight discomfort…"
He proceeded to stick a small camera inside of her throat and made its way down to her stomach, all the while Filo gagged a few times.
"Hmmmm… stomach acid seems normal… the stomach walls are undamaged… now let's check out your liver-"
"Mah whath?!"
Medic continued to examine her vitals, including taking a quick stop at the heart.
"Zhe heart is beating normally… and you're saying you ingested Phazon?"
"Yeth!"
"Fascinating…"
Medic pulled the camera out of her body and did a few X-Rays.
"Brain activity: Normal. Bones are completely healthy… hmmm!"
Medic jotted everything down and proceeded to give Filo a lollipop. "Here you go, frauline!"
"Oooh!" Filo's eyes sparkled as she happily took it as she walked off while Medic patted her on the back.
"How is she?" Mikan asked.
"Well… let zhese notes speak for zhemselves."
Mikan took the notes. "She will probably need a lot of intensive care. Maybe a trip to the ICU will suffi- ITTAI NANI?!"
"Ja. She did indeed suffer a stomach bug."
"H-How is that even…"
"I'm not buying it." Samus said as she took a look. "Come on, are we gonna listen to Mr. "I Made Ruby Afraid of Elephants and Chainsaws"?"
"These are legit, Samus…"
"Oh bullshit!"
"Ah, there you are, Samus~!" Peach walked over with a hum as she grabbed her arm. "Come on, let's get your legs working-"
"Oh come on! I told you a thousand times that I'm a lot better!" Samus protested as Peach pulled her away.
"Come on, let's go." Luminary said as he and Filo walked out as Medic and Mikan waved goodbye.
"Samus, I know your legs and back are better, but I don't care!"
"I've shown you the X-Rays! My spine is back to normal! I'm walking normally!"
"But you still need physical therapy."
"Why exactly?"
"To strengthen those muscles up!"
"Are you kidding? I exercise all the time, especially when I hit the gym!"
"It doesn't hurt to double check~!"
"Ugh, you are impossible sometimes!"
"You're one to talk, Sammy."
"I wonder where I got that from!" Samus deadpanned with a snarky expression, all the while Peach had to hold back her giggles.

Back with the duo…
"That was eventful…" Luminary said.
"They're making such a big deal over a stomach bug… I don't get it!" Filo mumbled.
"Well, on the bright side, it didn't turn into a full blown news report. I feel like Lisa Lavender would have a heart attack over your well-being…" He then pulled out his Scroll. "Now, we're going to see Team JNPR for brunch."
"Kay!"
"Hey, you guys want to meet up at Cafe Cirrostratus for brunch?"
"Bad idea. The cafe banned Nora this time." - Ren
"Huh? But she's their best customer last I checked…"
"Apparently, they think she, alongside her Alolan Raichu and Tinkaton, eat more than they could make… even though she's not as bad compared to Kirby or Yuyuko."
…How is this cafe still alive? Aqua, Chiaki and now Nora? Luminary wondered. "Sojiro's then?"
"We'll be right there~!" - Nora
"Alright, I texted JNPR and we're meeting up at Sojiro's. Now… Pyrrha's going through a rough time, so she's not going to be her usual cheery self."
"Got it!"
Once at Sojiro's…
BGM: Beneath the Mask (Persona 5)
"I'm tellin' ya! That cafe's got some sort of agenda!" Nora said as she eating some coffee cake alongside Pancakes and Magnhild. "Yeah, we eat a lot of pancakes, but we're not bad! Sheesh…" Nora mumbled.
"I've heard the original owner had to step down due to health problems and found a replacement." Ren said. "Unfortunately, the replacement isn't exactly the friendliest…"
"Like come on! What's so bad about paying it forward or playing Minecraft at a table? It's ridiculous!" Nora grumbled.
"Rai Rai…"
"Ton!"
"It… sure is…" Pyrrha mumbled.
Luminary frowned. "I've heard what happened from Dedede. It's been days since you've been freed from Eggman… and yet, I heard you were dangerously close to the edge of Yoshi Falls."
"I was considering diving in to clear my mind… but where I was, I didn't see the jagged rocks. I'm glad Dedede stopped me before I jumped. I just… thought a swim would be fine…" Pyrrha mumbled. "But whenever I tried to hold those weapons you made for me… I'm just reminded of my metal form… sometimes I feel my semblance pulling them towards me."
"Hold on a second, Pyrrha!" Filo spoke up. "Big Bro crafted those to help you protect the people you love!"
"...I wonder if I should be protected from them." Pyrrha muttered before sighing. "I'm sorry, Luminary… I didn't mean to say it like that."
"You're fine. We'll… get you through this somehow."
"I don't know if I ever want to touch them ever again." Pyrrha lifted her hand up, conjuring up some fire. "Sometimes… I feel like my Fire Brand may be a bit too much as well…"
Jaune put a comforting arm around her. "Now you know that's not true…"
"I know… I just… don't know what to do anymore…"
Luminary frowned. "Maybe… I can make you something that could help you with that?"
"I don't know… but I do appreciate the offer."
Once Brunch was over, Luminary gave Pyrrha a comforting hug before they all walked out as JNPR walked a different way.

"Okay, now we are going to Ruby and Yang's house." Luminary said as he texted Rosalina. "Rosalina is going to teleport us there since my Zoom spell hasn't registered that spot yet."
"Okay!" Filo nodded as they felt magic swirling around them and were quickly teleported to Patch.
"Hello!" Rosalina greeted. "They're waiting for you inside. Oh, and Pit and Palutena are here too."
"Perfect." Luminary nodded as they walked to the door.
Inside…
"I'm tellin' ya… you need some surgery if you want to fly on your own again." Qrow said.
"And I'm telling you that I don't need surgery!" Pit said.
"You can't rely on the goddess all the time… and speaking of which, five minutes? Really?"
"I don't see the problem." Palutena said, casually drinking tea.
"Look, I'm just saying… kid needs better wings. How did he even get crippled in the first place?"
Pit blushed. "It's… uh… well, how do I put this-" He glanced over at Luminary walking in. "Oh hey look, a distraction!"
"Hmm?" Qrow looked up. "Oh hey, it's you." He greeted while Pit vaulted behind the couch while Qrow was distracted, where he quickly ducked.
"I tried to warn you…" Ruby responded.
"I thought he wouldn't bring it up!" Pit whispered back.
"When his mind wanders to your wings… which he did, he'll never stop hounding you for it."
"It's a sensitive subject…" Pit mumbled as anime tears ran down his cheeks as Ruby patted him on the back.
"Have you ever thought of doing physical therapy with your wings?" Bereto suggested.
"How am I supposed to do that?" Pit wondered.
"I'm… sure there's something you could do… maybe there's a massage parlor specifically for wings."
"I dunno, I haven't seen anything regarding that in Toad Town or anywhere in the Mushroom Kingdom." Byleth said.
"I think I saw some kind of parlor for Paratroopas… though that might just be for their shells." Dorothea mused.
"Can't we all just leave it alone that my wings suck and I just need Lady Palutena's help to get somewhere?" Pit groaned as Anya and Oran hugged him.
"Hey, what are we hiding from?" Filo asked while Luminary was chatting with Qrow.
"Oh! Hi cutie! I didn't know Pit had a sister!" Dorothea smiled.
"I don't! …As far as I know." Pit scratched his head.
"Oh, so you're Pit? You're quite… oh, what's the word, handsome?" She smiled sweetly as everyone besides Pit glanced over to check on Ruby.
"...What? I'm not gonna be jealous over a little girl!" Ruby mumbled.
Pit blushed and chuckled. "Okay, I like her!" He said, patting Filo over the head. "So, where are you from?"
A few minutes of hitting it off later (And Palutena joining in)...
"Filo, you ready to go?"
"Yeah!" Filo smiled after giving Oran and Anya another hug before she walked off, waving goodbye before she and Luminary walked out.
"Cute kid!" Palutena smiled.
"Auntie Paulie!" Filo's words echoed in her head.
"Very adorable too~"
"Yeah… now where's the angel again? I need to-"
"Oh Qrow, just drop it already!" Raven groaned in dismay.
One Zoom to the Smash Mansion later…
"I never told you about this place, have I?"
"Not really. I thought this was just a really cool mansion you owned and everyone was your servants."
How'd you come up with THAT?! Luminary thought in surprise.
He then chuckled. "No no, it's way more than that."
One explanation later while going inside…
"Oooooh… I don't get it."
"Oh, I'm sure you'll figure it out." Luminary said as they approached the roster. "See this roster? I'm in it… I'm actually between Joker and Banjo."
"Whoooooooooa! That's a looooot of people!" Filo said with her eyes sparkling. "It's so cool!"
"Mhm. Now the B Roster is my party except for Mia. She never told me why she didn't join." Luminary said.
"B Roster… ooooh! This must be fill ins for those who aren't around!" Filo said.
"Exactly."
"Captain Toad for Mario and this E. Gadd person for… uh… Loo-ee-guy?"
"Luigi."
"Oh. Eh, I was close!"
"I've gained a lot of abilities since I came here, especially some abilities that I don't typically have."
"Like?"
Flashback!
"Photon Edge!"
"This will slow you down. Take this!" Luminary said, unleashing Whack on her.
"AUUUUUGH!"
"GAME! Luminary… WINS!"
End flashback
"Aheheh… to this day, Mythra still won't talk to me…" Luminary sheepishly said. "I didn't think that would have knocked her out… especially since the match had just started."
"Whoever this Mythra is, she's probably a very sore loser."
Luminary sweatdropped. "Let's… not say that if she's around…"
"Okay!"
"Oh hey Luminary!" Tifa walked by. "You babysitting Pit's sister?"
"He has a sister?" Cloud walked over as did Aerith.
"No, she's not. If anything, she's my adoptive surrogate sister."
"Okay, that makes more sense." Aerith said.
"Anyway, this is Filo. Filo, this is Cloud, Aerith and Tifa. …Where's Yuffie?"
"In a double team match with Barret. They're currently fighting Reflet and Incineroar." Tifa said.
"Ah, okay."
"Hi~!" Filo waved as Aerith knelt down and scratched her head. "Oh, watch this!" She smiled as she transformed. "Ta-dah~!"
"Oh wow!" Aerith said in awe.
"Whoa…" Tifa whispered.
"So she's a Fat Cho-" Luminary quickly covered his mouth. "Mmmmph!"
"Cloud, whatever you do, do not call her "fat"." Luminary whispered as Filo turned back to normal and danced around Aerith. "Last time someone saw her in that form, they got a massive kick to the crotch… though it was a lone Crimson Fang member."
"Mmphkay. Can mmou mett mo ove mah mouff?"
"Ah, sorry!" Luminary removed his hand.
"Could've done without that…" Cloud mumbled.
"So she's not a Chocobo then?" Aerith wondered.
"Well, from what I can tell, this is her Filolial form… and from what Hendrik told me, Filolials are similar to Chocobos in some ways but they form a natural rivalry with dragons in my world. But she doesn't have any hatred towards other world dragons. Though… somehow, she can talk in her Filolial form… I'm still not sure how."
"But isn't that Major Malfunction guy a dragon?" Cloud asked.
"Major Moron is a different story…" Filo muttered.
"Oh hey Luminary~!" A voice chimed in as they saw Elise walking by. "Are you babysitting Pit's sister?"
"Pit's an only child… as far as I know." Luminary said. "This is FIlo, my adoptive surrogate sister."
Elise gasped. "Oh my gosh, she's a cutie!" She said as she took Filo's hands. "Come on, let me show you to my friends~!" She said and ran off.
"Whoa!" Filo yelped before she laughed and ran with her.
"Oh boy… talk to you later." Luminary said as he walked off, only to see Mythra walking by with Pyra and Sora. "Oh… uh… hi Mythra."
"Hmph!" Mythra looked away as she walked off.
"She'll get over it." Pyra and Sora quietly mouthed together.
"Still salty, I see…" Luminary sweatdropped. "...Ah, right, Filo!"
He immediately ran off… only to freeze in terror as he saw her climbing over Doom Guy's shoulder.
"Ooooh… crap." He whimpered, only to see him patting her on the head. Oh. Right. He's gentle with kids. He thought, breathing a sigh of relief as Filo smiled while chatting with Isabelle, Zelda, Sakura, Azura and Elise.
One prying Filo away later…
"See ya later~!" Filo waved. "So, where to next?"
"I know a spot." Luminary said as he cast Zoom and zoomed on over to Solana Town, where they would immediately see Marnie walking by. "Hey Marnie!"
"Hmm? Oh hey, Luminary." She greeted and spotted Filo. "Soooo, Pit has a sister now?"
"No. She's mine."
"Oh!" Marnie giggled. "Yeah, that makes sense."
"So, how's it going with the Melromarc monsters?"
"Well, with Captain Slime, Tech, and… Major Malfunction introducing the new monsters to Lord Bowser, we raised a lot of eyebrows with their specific names and personalities. I mean, seriously… Sugar Baddie?"
"Yeeeeeah…"
"And don't get me started on that Mad Moai!"
Earlier…
"You dum dums give me gum gum!"
"What?" Marnie blinked.
"You give me gum gum, dum dum."
"She doesn't have gum on her!" Shez said.
"Then you give me gum gum, dum dum."
Shez's eye twitched. "That's it, I'm killing him."
"No no no, wait!" Marnie exclaimed as she held her steady with the help of General Guy, Kamek, Piers and Bowsette.
"Sheesh… you guys are pathetic if you get offended over getting called "Dum dum"." Dark PIt rolled his eyes.
"Hey dum dum! Give me gum gum!"
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A DUM DUM, YOU STONE FREAK?!"
Back in the present…
"That's… exactly how I thought some of them would react."
"Thankfully, Kamek made some everlasting gum, so that should-"
"HEY DUM DUMS! ME WANT MORE OF THAT GUM GUM."
"How?! That should have lasted you forever!"
"Me swallowed it. Me want more."
"SERIOUSLY?!" Kamek yelled in dismay.
Marnie closed her eyes as Luminary covered Filo's ears. "You gotta be shittin' me…" Marnie mumbled her breath, pinching the bridge of her nose while Luminary uncovered Filo's ears.
"And what about the monsters who have been tortured by the Crimson Fang the longest?"
"Oh, them? Rei set up a therapy class for them and several Monsters are acting as therapists to help them get through the agony."
"That's good."
"Mhm."
"Hmm?" Filo looked at the bag that Marnie was carrying. "What's in that?"
"Oh, this? Medicine for Gloria. Turns out that head injury that Adam gave her was more severe than everyone had anticipated."
Earlier…
Marnie heard the door open as she turned her head to see Gloria walking in with bandages over her head. She smiled with an amused chuckle. "Okay, what'd you do this time?"
"Ah, got in a fight with that Adam lad and got conked in the head pretty good. Bled a little but I'm okay!"
Marnie chuckled. "What am I gonna do with you…" She said as she saw the monsters behind her. "Wait, did you get monsters?"
"A Paolumu and a Tigrex, aye."
Marnie laughed. "Sounds about-" She frowned immediately. "You're not looking so hot."
"Ugh… just a dizzy spell…" Gloria mumbled, but Marnie quickly caught her and put her on the couch.
Back in the present…
"Concussion?" Luminary guessed.
"Whatever Adam did to her with… I believe she said Kasplashle, it did a hell of a number on her skull and brain, so Neo, Victor and I have been keeping an eye on her."
"Mind if we see her?"
"Yeah." Marnie nodded as they went off to Marnie's apartment.
"How's your head?" Victor asked as Neo put some ice on her head bandages.
"Right now… fockin' freezin'." Gloria mumbled. "Ugh… the migraine's back…"
Marnie walked in with Luminary and Filo. "How is she?"
["Hanging in there."] Neo said before spotting Filo. Her eyes lit up with sparkles over them as she immediately went over to say hi while Marnie and Luminary walked over to her.
"How many fingers am I holdin' up, babe?" Marnie asked, holding three.
"Three."
"Okay, your eye sight's not as shitty like earlier." Marnie said, pulling out some medicine as Luminary put his hand on her shoulder and used a Moreheal spell to heal her.
"Thanks, lad…" Gloria said. "Ugh, normally when I get concussions, it's not normally this shite…"
"Don't worry… this will get you back up and runnin'." Marnie said, softly kissing her on the forehead while Victor applied the medicine to her forehead.
"Ach! Shite! Damn…! That stings like a motherfockin' Beedrill!"
"It's helping, though." Victor smiled.
"How was she after she got hit?" Marnie asked.
"She got pretty excited after getting cut on her head with Kasplashle… it stopped bleeding after a minute. She seemed pretty coherent yesterday."
"Whatever happened between then and when she came for a visit was enough to knock her down for a while…"
Luminary heard giggling behind him as he turned to see Filo on Neo's lap, the latter tickling her as she kept laughing uncontrollably. He chuckled and went back to looking at Gloria. "Knowing you, you'll get through this like every other injury you had."
"Damn straight…" Gloria smiled as Marnie did the fingers again. "...Eight."
"That's four. Your eyes are going again."
"Probably because of that stingin' pain!" Gloria hissed.
"Veronica told me the Splish magic is extremely rare. It's the power to unleash water on enemies." Luminary explained.
"There's probably some unknown side effect because it's kicking my sister's butt." Victor said.
At that moment, the door opened up as Hop ran in. "I got some berries that might cure whatever's bothering- …Oh, hey Luminary." He greeted as he turned to see Neo tickling Filo. "...Pit's sister?"
"Luminary's."
"Huh, coulda fooled me!" Hop shrugged as he went over to Marnie's kitchen and started chopping up the berries.
"Hang in there, okay?" Luminary smiled.
"Oh, ye know me… I always bounce back for rounds two and beyond." Gloria laughed. "...Ow! Why does it fockin' hurt to laugh?"
Luminary nodded as he turned around to see Filo cuddling with Neo. "Come on, Filo. Let's go."
"Okay!" Filo smiled and hopped off of Neo's lap, both of them waving as they walked out the door as Neo immediately hopped up and went back to Gloria, gently feeling her forehead and nodding with a soft smile.
"Hey big bro? Why is that goth girl's arm purple?"
"Oh. She lost her arm and eyes from a fight with Damian. She's pretty much a cyborg now."
"Oh that's awful!"
"Amazingly, she's not letting it bother her anymore. Back then, it depressed her but now she's back to her old self with her sad days being far and inbetween as she told me last time."
"That's good! I need to give her a hug the next time I see her."
Later, back at Luminary's…
"Zzzzz…" Filo slept peacefully on her bed while Luminary sat in front of his blacksmithing station, deep in thought.
"What to make for Pyrrha…" Luminary mused. And, I wonder if I should make something special for Gloria… because I have a feeling this might be a long term thing for her. I could be wrong on that part though.
An idea came to Luminary, his eyes widening.
"Pyrrha, I think I have something that might help you out!"
We interrupt the doom and gloom that was the previous chapter with a more wholesome chapter!
