"Hello lord Daimyo," Greeted the Prime Minister.
"Hello Haruki," The Daimyo greeted back.
"I am here primarily to talk negotiations with the Hyuuga family, so I won't be able to meet anyone after I meet with the Hokage," stated Haruto.
Haruto met with the Hokage and discussed about a few matters till 6 in the evening.
After the meeting, Haruto left with his family to the Hyuuga compound to have their meeting.
It was 7 pm, they finally made it to the Hyuuga compound. Everyone were awed that the Daimyo had come to Konoha.
"Greeting lord Daimyo," greeted Hiashi, bowing a bit.
"Good evening Lord Hiashi," the Daimyo greeted Hiashi.
They both made their way into a meeting room.
"Looks like your daughter has made it to the chunin exam finals. That's quite impressive." Said Haruto.
"Yes she did, but she has to come a long way before we can call her strong." Hiashi replied.
"Well let's get on with the details shall we. Why should we let your daughter, Hinata marry Ayumu, who is my capable spare heir." Stated Haruto.
"Many civilian houses never have what we are giving you, a Hyuuga." Replied Hiashi.
"Hmm, what do you want to gain through this contract Lord Hiashi." Haruto asked.
"We want to have a seat in the Daimyo's council. We have been a very old clan and have helped out the ruling families for centuries, but never received any power from them," Hiashi replied.
"Well then, in turn we want the Hyuuga clan to help us have some power in Konoha's shinobi matters." Said Haruto.
'Lord Hokage won't be happy with this arrangement. If the Daimyo holds power over the village, then the Hokage would loose some power over the nation. Worse case scenario, the Hokage will just be a puppet.' Thought Hiashi.
'But the village doesn't matter much now. If the Hyuuga holds power in the Daimyo's court, then we can have a Hyuuga as a hokage, or even as the Daimyo. The Hyuuga clan has been supressed for way too long. This is the chance for us.' Thought Hiashi.
"Yes, we can agree to that. Let our children meet eachother to see if they match or not," Said Hiashi.
Both of them left the meeting chambers and went to the Hiashi's house.
"My daughter will come here soon," Said Hiashi.
Ayumu was very excited to see the Hyuuga heiress. From the picture, she was very pleasing to see.
"Hello Lord Daimyo," greeted Hinata with a bow.
'hmm, she looks like she knows what she is doing. The clan has really trained her well. I feel bad throwing my son into the wolves, but we must do it so as to hold power in Konoha.' thought Haruto.
"Hello Hinata-chan!" Ayumu greeted enthusiastically. She looked better than he expected. Hinata gave him a gentle smile. But both the Daimyo and his wife saw that it was fake.
'Oh, Hinata has been trained well to do this. But with the reveal of the Namikaze heir, we have no choice but to accept with this agreement.' thought Hori Kaze, the wife of the Daimyo.
"Both of you should get to know eachother. You can go to the garden and talk to eachother," Said Hiashi.
Ayumu and Hinata left after Hiashi said them to leave.
after a few minutes, Ayumu is now fully infatuated with Hinata. He was very naive and gullible. So he easily fell for Hinata's act. She full knew she had to do this so that her sister could be the heir of the Hyuuga clan. If this plays out well, both of them don't need to have the seal placed on them.
One week later,
"Tomorrow is the big event!" Naruto shouted with enthusiasm.
"Today you will be resting, you will dispel all you clones and assess their memories," Said Danzo.
"Can I atleast train on Sage arts? I have to get used to the strength it provides me," Naruto asked.
"That's fine, you are permitted to train for 2 hours maximum. You need to be at your perfect state for tomorrow. You should not be impeded before the invasion." Danzo stated strictly.
"Fine gramps," Naruto relented
Naruto left the headquarters and made his way to training ground 0, the training grounds reserved for only high level anbu and the Hokage.
'Hokage jiji told me to make my entrance flashy to make a statement to other villages about me...' thought Naruto,
'Oh I know! I go the perfect plan for this,' thought Naruto, smirking inwardly.
"Ahh I forgot to get my cape. I will get it after this," Naruto told to himself.
Naruto went into meditation and dispelled his clones in sets of 3 for the next 1 hour. He didn't wan receive a head ache from him dispelling clones in the mass, so he just opted to the less painful, but lengthy process of dispelling them slowly.
"Ahh, that's way too much that I learnt." Naruto said to himself.
"I want to see how fast I can go when I am using sage mode," he said to himself.
Naruto released his weight seals and went into sage mode. In 2 minutes, he entered the sage mode and started to sprint. Any ordinary eye would just see an orange blur. He was about as fast as the Raikage using the lightning cloak.
'I am soo fast! And my senses have increased drastically! This only makes me more adaptable to the Hiraishin. I will make a few clones to fight in this mode so I get used to it.' he thought to himself.
Naruto, who usually gets' tired after only defeating about 50 of his advanced shadow clones, is now able to handle 300 of them.
"Wow, I think with sage mode I am able to make at least 500 of my advanced shadow clones!" He said to himself.
'and let's see what I can do with my own jutsu!' he thought.
"Wind style! Rasengan!" He shouted, creating a rasengan made with wind chakra.
"And now to test my theory," He said to himself.
He threw the rasengan at blinding speeds towards a mountain which was a few hundred metres away from him. His jutsu obliterated a huge chunk of it's side.
Naruto's eyes widened at it's destructive capability.
"So this is the power of a Kage level shinobi, I wonder how strong was Hokage jiji during his prime, I heard he was strong enough to be classified as SS ranked." Naruto said to himself.
Only the Hokage's were constantly ranked SS ranked. Only few had received that title, being all the 4 Hokages, the 3 and 4th Raikage, the 4th Mizukage, the 3rd Tsuchikage, Madara, Kisame, Itachi, Jiraya, Tsunade, Orochimaru, Kinkaku, Ginkaku, and Fugaku. They were even stronger than S ranked ninjas. At least a team of 4 S ranked ninjas are required to defeat a SS ranked ninja.
"Well, I don't feel like training now. I guess I will make a few shadow clones practice on making a few of the jutsus not require seals," He said to himself.
"Woahhh, big bro Naruto is soo strong!" a kid whispered behind a tree.
"Konohamaru come out, I will treat you for lunch." Naruto said look at Konohamaru's direction.
"Thank you bro!" He yelled.
"How did you know I was there? I was perfectly hidden." Konohamaru asked.
"I have good sensed Kono, I can sense anyone within a range of 5 kilometres, and distinguish between unique signatures with a radius of 1 kilometre." He answered.
"Can you teach me boss?" Konohamaru asked pleadingly.
"You need to be born with it Kono, I will teach you later. I have to rest today." Said Naruto.
"Alright boss," Konohamaru relented.
Both of them made their way to Ichiraku's and had lunch after Naruto made his clones.
Naruto had about 40 bowls since he was very hungry after he used a lot of chakra in his training.
"Konohamaru, don't you have class about now?" asked Naruto.
"I don't, they gave us leave for today for some reason," Konohamaru replied.
'Hmm, looks like it's going as planned. They are setting up barriers I gave them for protecting the academy.' Naruto thought.
"Well Kono, I guess I can teach you something simple. Have you learnt the leaf exercise?" Asked Naruto.
"Yea! I can do it for 1 minute, but I loose my concentration after it." He replied.
"Well from what I can sense from you, you have about low genin level of chakra reserves. I can help you increase it by this technique." Naruto said.
"My team mate had the same amount of chakra as you did, but after doing this and other advanced exercises, she was able to have chunin level reserves in 6 months," Naruto continued.
"WOW!" Konohamaru said with awe.
Naruto made a shadow clone and switched with it. Konohamaru thought he was training with the real Naruto, but the real one was the one which left to complete his erands.
Naruto trained Konohamaru for the whole day and returned him to the Sarutobi compound after a few hours.
Naruto slept till 9 AM after that.
*YAAWN*
"That was good," Naruto stated.
"I should start stretching and do a light warm up," he said to himself.
Naruto did his exercises by 11 AM.
'I have about 1 hour left before the chunin exams start' He thought.
"I forgot to bring my weapons!" He shouted to himself.
Naruto left to his house and got all of his tools and weapons.
"Hmm, I got about 300 of the 3 pronged kunai, 100 regular kunai, 300 shuriken, the Uzushio blade, and Bijuu chakra suppression seals." He said to himself.
Naruto quickly made his way to the stadium, he went and sat on top of the roof where no one can see him.
'Now I wait!' thought.
quickly everyone sat in their seats, the contestants made their way to the centre of the stadium.
'hmm, looks like the sound ninja is actually dead,' thought Naruto.
'Sasuke isn't here yet, he might have picked up sensei's bad habit,' he thought to himself
'Ah! they are about to announce the contestants!' he thought getting himself prepared.
"Well everyone but the 2 contestants stay here!" Genma announced.
"Hmm, looks like your team mate chickened out," Said Neji smugly.
"No he didn't! he would never!" Sakura shouted at Neji.
All of the contestants left to their seats.
'Where is he?' Sakura thought.
In the viewing booth,
"Looks like that looser didn't show up," Said Ino.
"He is different from what we know of him during the academy. He defeated me which only Sasuke was able to do in Taijutsu during the academy. He is definitely not a looser," Replied Kiba.
"Of course, Sasuke being in his team made him somewhat competent, Team 7 is probably the weakest because they are dragging Sasuke down," Ino said with a snarky remark.
"Well, it doesn't matter, Lee is about the second strongest genin here, no matter who comes, he will in!" Tenten remarked smugly.
"Looks like Kakashi's team is about to loose their lucky streak," Said Kurenei.
"Have you actually seen Naruto train? I haven't seen him anywhere in the village," Asked Kiba with a tinge of curiosity.
"He probably was wasting his time around," Remarked one of Sasuke's jealous fan girls.
The first match about to start now! The match is between Rock Lee and Naruto Uzumaki..." Genma was about to announce Naruto's name.
Suddenly a 3 pronged kunai was embedded right where he was supposed to stand at. In an bright orange flash, Naruto arrived. His cloak waivered to show the Kanji for "The Orange Flash".
"Am I late?" Asked Naruto.
"You were about to be," Genma replied smirking.
Everyone's eyes widened.
"D... di did he just teleport here?!" Asked a shocked Ino.
"As I was saying *Cough* The match between Rock lee and Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze will start in 3... 2... 1! Hajime!" Said Genma, further shocking the people watching the match.
Naruto quickly went back a few feet away from Lee, who charged right at him.
'He is able to keep up with me even when I am not having my weights on!' thought Lee with shock.
"Oh come on, if you want to be a chunin, you should show more of your tricks," Said Naruto, trying to egg on Lee.
"Well I saved this up for Neji, but I have no choice but to use it against you. You can't keep up with me since I will be the fastest genin when I use this move!" Shouted Lee.
Naruto's brow raised out of curiosity, then he felt it. The chakra gate in his brain opened, then slowly Lee opened up the rest of the gates. Currently Lee had about 3 of his gates opened.
'Looks like he can go further, but chooses not to' thought Naruto.
Naruto quickly dropped some of his weight seals just enough to keep up with Lee. He wanted Lee's potential to be shown before getting defeated so Lee can get a fair chance at promotion.
Naruto and Lee traded many blows, Lee managed to get some good hits on Naruto, but Naruto shrugged them off since he had faced much worse from Jiraiya and Kakashi.
"Hmm, this technique is the 8 inner gates, right?" Asked Naruto dodging Lee's moves.
"That is right my youthful friend!" Lee replied enthusiastically.
In the stands,
"He is able to keep up with Lee without much difficulty! That's not possible!" Shouted Tenten.
"How come we never saw the resemblance? He looks like a spitting image of the Yondaime Hokage. I guess he was jus acting to shrug of suspicions." Said Kurenei.
"I believe that your assumptions are correct Kurenei, his father has many enemies even after his death, so Naruto's life could be endangered if his heritage is revealed." Replied Maito Gai.
'I believe he has shown enough, I will get this done with then,' thought Naruto.
Naruto suddenly jumped back, made a smoke screen and jumped out of it when Lee came with full speed.
'Just as planned' thought Naruto.
Naruto again jumped back and created a few shadow clones.
Lee was distracted a bit with the clones when instead of going through them, he got knocked down by them.
"These are actual solid clones!" Shouted Lee with a bit of surprise.
"You lost," Said a voice behind him.
Lees eyes widened more than it already was,
"Once the opponent is marked with the Hiraishin formula, the opponent's fate has already been decided," Said Lee with a bit of reluctance
There was nothing he could do now, but give up. Lee has been marked, and Lee can't simply dodge around attacks which are fast as lightning.
Genma looked at the situation and decided the match,
"The winner of the first round of the Chunin exams is Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze!" Shouted Genma.
Everyone gave a huge round of applause. Everyone cheered and shouted that the match was great.
"*scoff* What did you say about my team mate being a looser?" Asked Sakura wth a smirk directed at Neji.
Neji just scoffed and looked away.
"Due to Dosu Kimuda's withdrawal from the exams before, we have to change the order up again. The fights being this order: is between Shikamaru Nara Vs Temari Sabaku, Hinata Hyuuga Vs Shino Aburame, Neji Hyuuga Vs Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Vs Gaara Sabaku, Kankuro will have to fight the winner in the last fight" announced Genma.
'ughh, they changed the match ups. I have to be careful against him, especially in close combat.' thought Sakura.
"Contestants, please get down here," He shouted.
Both Temari and Shikamaru made their way. The match went the same as canon.
"The winner is Temari Sabaku, please make your way to the contender's booth." he instructed.
"The next round is between Shino Aburame and Hinata Hyuuga!" Genma announced.
Hinata and Shino made their way to the centre.
"Hajime!" Genma shouted.
Hinata quickly made her way to Shino, she activated her Byakugan and found the one she was seeing was just a clone. She quickly spotted him and made her way to the real Shino. But the bug clone dispersed itself and tried attacking her, but she quickly performed the Kaiten, shocking Neji.
Hinata and Shino went on fighting eachother like this, Shino was able to suck some chakra out of her using his bugs, but she defeated him with a few jyuken strikes.
"The next round is between Neji Hyuuga and Sakura Haruno!" Genma shouted.
'I forgot that Naruto said Neji probably knows Kaiten. This means I should at least stay 20 metres away from him when I feel that he is about expel chakra our of a random tenketsu,' she thought.
'I should really plan out my moves like Shikamaru. I may not be as good as him, but I am kunoichi of the year for a reason!' she thought with resolution
"Hajime!" Genma shouted, jumping back.
Sakura jumped back by a few feet to dodge Neji's air palm.
When Neji tried to attack her again, she just hit the ground with enough force to create a mini earthquake, enough to destabilize Neji's form.
She capitalized on this, and punched him really hard on his face.
Neji was sent flying, but quickly adjusted himself.
"Byakugan!" He shouted, activating his eyes.
"I admit I have underestimated you, but I will end this match quickly!" He shouted, quickly making his way to Sakura.
Sakura caused another Earthquake, which bought her enough time to remove her weight. Although it's pretty light, it does grant her some free movement.
Neji started his relentless moves, Sakura used the terrain as her advantage with analysing where she can use to hide and use body switching jutsu.
But this was taxing on Sakura's reserves. She managed to catch Neji due to sneak attacks, but he has also landed a few good hits on him. She now couldn't use her left arm for signs nor move her legs.
"Proctor I forfeit!" Shouted Sakura after she switched places with a log.
"Alright, Neji Hyuuga is the winner of this match!" Genma announced.
The next match is between Sabaku no Gaara and Sasuke Uchiha!" Just as he announced, Sasuke and Kakashi arrived in a leaf shunshin.
"Are we late?" Was Kakashi's brilliant question.
"No, but you two were close though," Was Genma's reply.
Sasuke and Gaara started their fight with Sasuke removing his weight seals and charging up a Chidori. He wanted to get over with the quickly so Gaara won't go berserk.
Sasuke crossed all the sand trying to hit him with ease.
"His speed matches my own!" Shouted Lee.
"You taught him that Jutsu!" Gai asked sternly.
"You taught your student the eight inner gates, so you don't get to talk Gai, also the Chidori is a very effective tool to by pass any solid deffence easily." Replied Kakashi.
Gaara quickly made a sand sphere around him to protect himself, but Sasuke's Chidori pierced it like a warm knife cutting butter.
"Blood, it's... mY BLOOOD!" Shouted Gaara inside the sand cocoon. Sasuke quickly jumped back.
Temari and Kankuro jumped inside and carried Gaara towards the edge of Konoha.
Sasuke received orders to follow Gaara with Naruto leading the mission.
Naruto, Shikamaru, Sasuke, Sakura, Kiba, and Shino were sent to stop Gaara.
This was at the minimum an A ranked mission. If Gaara goes Biju, then it would get bumped to a S ranked mission.
Kiba, Shino and Sakura were tasked to fight Kankuro whilst Shikamaru and Sasuke were tasked to fight Temari.
Naruto made his way to fight Gaara alone. Naruto prepared his seals, but with Shikaku seeing what Naruto has in his hands, started to force himself out of Gaara. Suddenly, just a few hundred metres from the border of Konoha, a huge one tailed Tanuki appeared.
"Ahh, exactly what I didn't want to happen." Naruto muttered.
He went through a few handsigns and summoned Gamabunta, the toad boss.
"What did you summon me for this time brat?" Asked the chief toad.
"Well, this would your second time fighting a bijuu Gamabunta! The only change is here that you would be fighting alone with me instead of my father." Naruto replied.
"How do you bring yourself into such troubles?" Asked Gamabunta.
"Less talk and more fighting!" Shouted Naruto for which Gamabunta dodged an air bullet.
"HAHAHAHA, I AM FINALLY FREE! I AM SOO CLOSE TO FULL POWER AS WELL!" Shouted Shukaku.
"Hmm, the only way we can defeat him is either rip off Shukaku and seal him in a sealing gourd, or wake up the medium," Said Gamabunta.
"Well, I haven't even touched him, so I can't just teleport there, so the best way is for me to wake him up is if you hold Shukaku down for a while," Naruto Said.
"I can't give any promises kid, last I fought with a Bijuu, I had gotten this huge scar. And that too all I did was sit on the damned fox," Replied the chief toad.
"It's fine! I need you to hold him for a while so I can throw a kunai near Gaara, then I can wake him up," Said Naruto.
By this time, what used to be a huge forest is now nothing but a huge crater.
Gamabunta quickly spewed out oil, for which Naruto used the fire ball jutsu to light it up.
With that done, some parts of Shikaku was made into glass fragments. This gave Naruto enough time to throw a kunai at Gaara and teleport there. He gave a powerful punch, waking up Gaara.
Naruto quickly placed a seal on him to seal of the Biju's influence on Gaara.
"How come are you soo strong?" Asked Gaara.
"Well Gaara, it's because I protect others. It makes me stronger." Replied Naruto.
"That's impossible! It only makes you weak!" Replied Gaara.
"And look at the outcome Gaara, you, a loner is the one who lost. You have your siblings to protect. They also care about you so don't abandon them," Naruto said.
Naruto sensed a jonin level presence which he guessed happened to be Baki.
'Looks like I have to save my team mates,' thought Naruto.
He quickly made his way to where his team was held up.
He sensed Gaara was carried away by his siblings.
"Baki!" Naruto shouted.
"I advice that you stay away from my team. If you make a move against us, in a flash you will get to see your students dead," Said Naruto with a cold tone.
Baki's eyes widened.
He saw the battle going on between Naruto and Shukaku.
'That brat is not even winded a bit!' He thought.
He chose to run away because he knew it will be a loosing battle.
Konoha had come out victorious in this invasion. Although there were a few casualties, it paled in comparison to the numbers the enemy lost.
The invaders quickly left the village and ran to their lands.
But Konoha had lost it's third Hokage, He had to fight off against his 2 predecessors and his student, which proved too much to his old age.
Orochimaru ran away with having his hands sealed in the Shinigami's belly.
The day after,
Everyone gathered at the funeral of the dead ninjas.
At the centre was the 3rd Hokage's photo.
Everyone mourned hard that day. The 3rd hokage had been with them for most of their lives, bringing victories to Konoha for 3 consecutive wars and this invasion.
In the council room,
"We need to form a temporary form a of governance until the another Hokage is selected," Stated Danzo.
Everyone agreed.
They had at last chosen to let the 3 elders, the jonin and Anbu commander head the village.
"We can't select the Hokage yet. The Daimyo was assassinated during the invasion." stated one of the civilian councilor.
"That is not true, the Daimyo just officiates the Hokage's selection. Now we require a Hokage to deter war from falling upon us, someone who is strong should be the one appointed, with or without the fire Daimyo's approval" Said Danzo.
"We haven't still selected the Hokage out from the nominees, but it will prove to be a difficult task," He continued.
"We will reveal our options to the Shinobi council tonight," Koharu said.
After selective choosing, Jiraiya, Shikaku, Anbu commander and the advisors had picked their choice.
