(This is a long time coming. For years this account has been abandoned. The main reason for it was because I went off to try other things in life such as a YouTube channel. However, no matter how far I went, I couldn't get the idea of being a writer out of my mind. It is my passion and gives me happiness in life. It's great to be back, having been missing the urge to create something. Even when I went off to YouTube, I made a plushie show that I got to write from the ground up and got to voice in alongside friends and family. The show itself is mainly made of comedic skits but can have genuine moments when necessary. Having love to make the content, I wanted to write this, a brand new series based on the videos we make and a fun Super Mario related kind of fanfiction. These will have different stories to them. Similar to the videos, they will be wholesome but fun as characters get together to make a selfless community, regardless of how greedy a certain character is. There will be no swearing or overly dirty jokes since that's not the kind of tales we want to create. This also means that previous projects that I was going to turn into a series, like "Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom's Burning Hero" are cancelled. I apologize if it's an inconvenience. This first story is based off one of the first videos we made. I'll post it at the end of this so people don't feel too confused when going into it. With that said, I think it's time to begin. All the stories won't be super long, with them being short but a joy. Lastly, I intend to expand beyond just this series and create fanfictions of other properties I enjoy if I become inspired enough to do so. Once again, it's great to be here again and I appreciate your interest in what we have in store. Here's is the video to have an idea where this story left of. The Mario voice I did is dropped in future videos so that's something to remember. /YXFaX2wSDEM)

The Star Brothers Rescue Team was hardly a practical group. Being made of Mario, the famous vigilante of the Mushroom Kingdom and Waluigi the charming yet sleezy conman, it would be quite interesting to see how they'll do in a new town. It seemed as if the name Mario Brothers, was already reserved for when Mario unites with Luigi. Whom he hasn't seen in quite some time. Mario only assumed Luigi was off doing his own quests and would see him again eventually. However, after settling down from rescuing Princess Peach so often, Mario had resided to a seaside town. At first it seemed like a peaceful, little place that would hardly get itself into any trouble. To an extent, it didn't. There wasn't any macho bad guy who wanted to take control nor to crush it. With it being small and remote, there was no need for them to bother It to this day. This of course, didn't stop Mario from wanting to do what he can to protect and care for it. Perhaps it was his hero instinct that never truly left. Waluigi on the other hand, was not as devoted. His main motivation to even want to help the people at all was because he wanted the fame and praise that came with working towards the greater good. Despite it being a more selfish reason than Mario hoped for, he appreciated the idea of Waluigi willing to actually try to do the responsible thing instead of scamming others for quick coinage. Our duo of a rescue team resided on the streets, thinking of what to do.

"I'd say this is quite a start to whatever we're doing, Mario. We haven't found anyone who needed us, all day" Waluigi said sarcastically at their lack of progress. If he knew there wouldn't be much to do, he would have slept in.

"I know it's less than exciting, Waluigi. But maybe it's a good thing that no one is asking for help, it means that everyone is safe and well. That's what we want in the first place." Mario tried to be more optimistic about the whole ordeal. He knew that anyone needing help isn't the kind of thing that can be rushed nor would he ever want it to be. Waluigi could understand this but he doubted they would ever get recognition by doing nothing. If there ever is an emergency, he began to think no one would bother asking them to do anything. Before they could give it much more thought, Shady, the shy guy went over to them. Shady is a child dressed fully in red and with a white mask. Being a part of the shy guy race, it was common for them to dress in such a way. He had something to say right away.

"It's Shady, how have you been?" Mario asked kindly, he was still quite new to the town but he had gotten a chance to know Shady. Shady then went up to Mario to whisper something he had to say.

"You lost your favorite toy ball? Well then, we best go and find it." Mario responded. Shady had the odd tendency to always whisper what he says often leaning into someone else for them to hear. It seemed like they found their first task already. Waluigi however, was less than impressed.

"You mean we're finding a ball? I thought we were going to head out and be like heroes, not try to help children with inconveniences, like Santa Claus or someone." Waluigi remarked as this was not what he hoped for, today. Even though finding Shady's toy was less than thrilling, Mario remained optimistic about what they would do.

"I know how you feel but sometimes it's best to start small. It gives us a chance to really understand how one another can function as a team. Let's just get it done right away." After Mario replied, he then told Shady they would return with it. Shady was thrilled and described it as small red one. Small enough for him to hold in one hand. It shouldn't be the hardest to find but it would certainly be tedious. They had an idea of the different places that Shady had gone and were reasonable spots to do their search in. The first place the duo went to was in the café when Shady dropped in for a quick ice cream cone for dessert. Waluigi had a feeling that this would be a long day. At the least, the ocean breeze was quite refreshing. In the café, they are greeted the owner and proclaimed richest man in the seaside town, Thomas Mustard. Thomas is a tall who dresses in black and yellow, even his face were those colors for some reason. Mario only assumed it was a fashion choice. With short black hair, Thomas was living quite the life through his business. The only shocking thing about Thomas himself is his face, he did have a pretty wild one with a naturally wide mouth and bright eyes. It would shock Waluigi's heart if it wasn't so twisted.

"Good day everyone, welcome to the Honey Can. Here we have the humblest yet yummiest snacks and treats you'll find in the land." He greeted both of them warmly. Since they were currently the only ones there, this was a perfect opportunity to ask if he knew of Shady's antics. But before they did, Mario became curious about the café's origins. He asked Thomas why he named it that. Thomas is fast to respond.

"Our honey comes from the finest honey hives as the brilliant bees go through the hardships of blessing us with it. Plenty of our honey has been provided and watched over by the Honey Queen herself. She is essentially the queen of queen bees, if you don't know her." After hearing Thomas, Mario understood. He realized just how passionate Thomas was about their product.

"Is that why you're dressed in yellow and black?" Mario asked, assuming he was living up the bee style to the max.

"No, that much is only a coincidence" Thomas answered, not wanting to represent a honey bee.

"Oh. Well then, have you seen Shady the shy guy today? He lost his toy ball earlier and we assume he came here with it." Once Mario put this in Thomas' mind. He began to have a flashback of the things Shady done earlier. In that flashback, everything seemed normal. Shady had gotten his ice cream and business was going as it usually did. That was until Shady brought out that toy that the Star Brothers are looking for. At the time, Shady had been bouncing it which was a great time. But then it bounced in the wrong direction and caused a catastrophe. Bread, coffee, and all kinds of goods were an absolute mess as the ball crashed and bounced amongst it all. The café had seen better days and took an entire hour to clean up and reopen for business. Back in reality, Thomas had remembered it all and knew where to lead them.

"Yes, Shady. The one that never speaks a word but truly has a lot to say. After he played with that infernal ball in my café, I sent him off so he would leave us in peace." Thomas saw Shady going south and that was towards the sea itself. With it said, Mario declared they would head over right away. Meanwhile, Waluigi, who had ordered a large cup of coffee during their visit had just spat some out in shock, burning himself in the process. He was disbelieved that they weren't done yet.

"Yow! Wah! How hard can it be to find a single ball? Let me finish this coffee, I'll need it so I don't lose myself during this goose chase." Waluigi snapped in annoyance as he dried himself. Thomas provided them with a napkin before they left. For Waluigi's sake, they would hopefully finish soon enough.
