Another day, another chapter of everyone's favorite green haired Power Ranger! (Sorry Trip)

So I'm going to start this chapter a little differently because you guys made last chapter blow the fuck up with the most reviews per chapter, and so I thought... why not start a dialogue here? Answer some of your reviews that way I feel more like a person and not just words on a screen.

DarkusAlfa: I loved how Neito is going to be given some value and thus get a break from Bakugo. Ps: You little liar who fooled me XD

Yeah, I'm honestly just not that good at writing Bakugo without making him feel really 2 dimensional in my eyes. it's actually why I basically wrote him out of the story in Fastest Man Alive, but I want to try something different in this story, so this won't be the last you see of Bakugo, but when you do see him, he's going to be MUCH different. Specifically because of what's going to happen at the USJ.

MrBlueyes09: Not going to lie, I really would like to see some Wild Force or Turbo used at some point. I never see them used in fanfics.

Well you are in luck! As I promised, the Sports Festival is going to be entirely Tommy morphs, and that's going to include Turbo Red. As for Wild Force... Well the plan is to have Izuku turn into every one of them at least once during the Summer Training Arc. You know, since they're all camping and that season is nature based, it fits! However, plans can change and I might get to them sooner or later than planned.

So I actually want to talk about this review a bit, because it was something I hadn't even considered but I kind of fell in love with. Yes, Izuku will be morphing into SPD to take down Stain with Todoroki and Iida. It might not be a Ranger you expect though...

SparkySparkpaw: I have one question, will you be including comic book rangers, and forms exclusive to the comic books

The answer to this is an absolute and unequivocal yes. I grew up absolutely loving the Boom Comics run so I would have to be certifiably insane not to do anything with them. Yes, Lord Drakkon will appear. Yes, Izuku can morph into the Omega Rangers. Yes, Izuku will be able to morph into Dino Fury's Dark Ranger. When I said in one of the earlier chapters that this is a love letter to all of Power Rangers, I meant it. It's why I referred to Sky as the SPD Deka Ranger. That morph, to my knowledge, has only ever been shown in the excellent graphic novel Soul of The Dragon.

What I might have failed to mention is I'm not just extending this to the shows, comics, games and movies. I'm going to be adding a couple of fanon characters too, specifically from Power Rangers: Unworthy. I really loved the design and concept of the Arbiter, so I had to put him in as a key antagonist.

Alright, I got a lot of story to tell this chapter and not a lot of time to do it, so without further Ado, it's Battle Trials time!

"I am coming through the door" All Might bellowed. "Like a normal person!"

Normally, Izuku would be over the moon to be in the same room as All Might. However, after what had transpired between the two before the school year, while his opinion of the Hero hadn't been soured, his excitement was a little more subdued than normal. It's not like Izuku held a grudge or anything, he knew why All Might said what he did, it didn't make him feel any less worse, though.

"Holy shit, All Might's our Heroics Teacher?" Kaminari asked, practically jumping out of his seat in excitement.

"Indeed I am, Young Kaminari!" All Might laughed. "And as for your first Heroics class, we are doing... Battle Trials! And before you ask, there is a reasoning why we are doing this now, and it's for the same reason that Mr. Aizawa. This is to establish a baseline for your combat abilities so we can see where you all are now and help you improve. Now, every battle will be closely monitored and we will personally stop any battle should they go too far. Are there any questions so far?"

The students, Izuku included, seemed pretty satisfied so far with this explanation as it calmed down many concerns they had. Finally, Kyoka spoke up. "So what are the rules, exactly?"

"I am glad you asked, Miss Jiro! The rules are actually quite simple. You will all be paired in teams of 2, and then 2 of those teams will be randomly selected. One team will be playing the role of heroes, and the other will be playing the role of villains. The heroes will infiltrate a building in our mock city and attempt to touch a paper mache bomb. The villains have to defend the bomb. The exercise is over if either the heroes touch the bomb, or if either team captures or knocks out the other." All Might explained.

"Are you sure that picking teams randomly is the wisest choice?" Iida asked, chopping his arm robotically as he spoke

"Actually, it makes a lot of sense." Izuku said, turning to his classmate. "You don't always get to choose who you work with as a hero, and impromptu team ups are fairly common."

"I didn't think about that." Iida said with a bow. "My apologies for the interruption!"

"That is quite alright, Young Iida. Now, before we get into teams, it's time for you to look the part!"

"He doesn't mean..." Neito asked, getting visibly excited.

"I think he does!" Kirishima added, grinning wildly.

"IT'S TIME FOR HERO COSTUMES!"

For Izuku, his costume was something he had to really stop and think about. He had decades of inspiration to pull from, for sure, but the suits were the costume, there wasn't anything else really for him... or was there?

It had taken some help from his mom to nail down the details, but he had finally landed on something very simple: A black compression shirt and a black leather jacket with a lightning bold on the back that had the colors of every Power Ranger that ever existed, and some blue jeans. Simple, but stylish.

(everyone else's costumes are lore accurate)

"Midoriya, you're costume is kinda... plain?" Mina said surprised as she tilted her head.

"Well I'm already morphing into colorful spandex 90% of the time, so I went for unassuming." Izuku chuckled.

Meanwhile inside the morpher

"Hold her down!" Tommy yelled as he, Ziggy and Dillon all kept Dr. K from popping out of the Morpher.

"IT'S NOT SPANDEX! IT'S A SELF-ASSEMBLING NANOFIBER FORMED WITH AN INTRACELLULAR SHEET OF MEMORY ALLOY!" She shrieked, trying to force her way through the three Vestiges to give Izuku a piece of her mind

"Well, now that you all look the part of heroes, lets get to the teams!" All Might grinned, motioning to the screen behind him, which lit up with the teams:

Team A: Kyoka Jiro & Tsuyu Asui

Team B: Minoru Mineta & Ochako Uraraka

Team C: Misharao Ejiro & Tenya Iida

Team D: Izuku Midoriya & Mina Ashido

Team E: Mezo Shoji & Shoto Todoroki

Team F: Toru Hagakure & Neito Monoma

Team G: Momo Yaoyorozu & Yuga Aoyama

Team H: Fumikage Tokoyami & Koji Koda

Team I: Rikido Sato & Ejiro Kirishima

Team J: Hanta Sero & Denki Kaminari

"Now, let's divy up those teams!" All Might grinned, using a program to pit the teams in random matchups:

Match 1: Team G (Heroes) vs Team B (Villains)

Match 2: Team C (Heroes) vs Team D (Villains)

Match 3: Team F (Heroes) vs Team H (Villains)

Match 4: Team I (Heroes) vs Team J (Villains)

Match 5: Team A (Heroes) vs Team E (Villains)

"Hell yeah, looks like we're together, Midoriya!" Mina said with a fist bump, which was eagerly received by the verdette.

"Alright, now that everyone is with their teams... Momo, Yuga, Minoru and Ochako, make your way to the testing ground. The rest of you, follow me to the observation deck!"

Alright alright alright! So, this is part 1 of the Battle Trials, and as you can see, this is all setup. And yes, I absolutely randomized the teams and matchups to make things interesting. Since there is no Izuku/Bakugo rivalry, I didn't feel the need to force them to face off, and so now I can just randomize them and see what happens! Hope you guys are excited.

And before I post this chapter, there was one more review that I got while I was in the middle of typing it out, so I want to talk about it too!

Brian-tagachi: OK I am LOVING this story so far! Though I do have one question. Will any megazords make appearances? If not it's all good. You keep up the good work my guy! Also I like the gaming-wins reference you do at the end of your chapters. Awesome youtuber. Pizza!

While I don't have plans to use the Megazords right away, I absolutely do plan to use them. Most likely, what will end up happening is that I will have Izuku bust out the first Megazord fight against Overhaul because... come on. If Izuku can't use 100% of OFA, then a giant Robot vs Overhaul will be incredible! However... don't expect just canon Megazords. I have some ideas for Megazords exclusive to this story as well!

And yeah, you caught me, I stole my tag from GamingWins, but we could all use some of that positivity in the world, so Imma keep doing it!
