Chapter 3: Welcome to Dino Plateau
The sun rises upon the Critters' Campsite. DogDay looks wide open while hugging a fear-stricken Poe wearing a cloak.
"RISE AND SHINE, CRITTERS!" DogDay yelled.
Everyone came out of the tents with yawning expressions. CatNap and CraftyCorn then notice Rabie Baby and Simon Smoke come out of their tents.
"What the?! Did you sleep with us?!" CatNap exclaimed.
"Your tents were better than ours. We have no choice," said Rabie Baby.
Hoppy Hopscotch grabbed Simon Smoke on the neck and said, "You didn't do anything to CraftyCorn, did you?!"
"No! I didn't! DogDay, back me up!" Simon yelled in fear.
"He's right. All he did was sleep with Crafty while having nightmares and hugging her," DogDay answered.
Simon facepalm before Hoppy throws on the ground to kick him where it hurts the most.
"I'll get breakfast to go ready," said PickyPiggy.
"I'll take care of the trash," said Touille, eating a spoiled fish wrap.
"I'll help with the dessert," said Maggie Mako.
"CatNap, please put me to sleep. DogDay was all about talking about our feelings during the watch," Poe begged.
"Aw, what did you tell him?" Bobby BearHug asks.
"The things that irritate me the most are your hugs."
"DogDay, I think you should sleep, too," said Kickin.
"Kickin is right. I'll get my gas ready," said CatNap.
"Whoever finished their breakfast last carries the sleeping watch," said Icky Licky, rushing to the picnic table.
"Not on my watch!" KickinChicken shouted.
"Have my breakfast last," said Baba Chops.
"Aw, she's such a good leader," CraftyCorn commented.
"Okay, everyone. We're only a couple of miles from Dino Plateau. Get your fill so we can pack and head over there," said Bubba Bubbaphant.
"What?! I would rather nap again than eat breakfast," said Allister Gator.
"Then you have to carry me or Poe when we sleep," said DogDay.
"On second thought, save me granola bars, mini muffins, and breakfast burritos."
Two hours later, the Smiling Critters and the Nightmare Critters walk along the trail. Baba Chops is carrying the sleeping DogDay in her arms. Allister Gator is unhappy he's holding the sleep Poe on his back.
Hoppy smirked, "Finally, getting into the energy, huh, Allister?"
"Shut up!" he responds.
Hoppy stomps his foot to get back at him.
"Baba, I've been thinking you wanted to lose just to carry DogDay," Icky questioned.
"I got a Doggy to treat for the loss. I won't miss the chance," Baba answered.
"Yeah, whatever."
"We should be getting close," said Bubba, looking over the map.
"Good. So get up, Poe!" Allister throws Poe to the down.
"Ouch! Why you?!" Poe yelled.
Poe begins to peck Poe's head constantly.
"Woah, stop! Hug it out," said Bobby, doing a group hug with the two and Hoppy.
"Why include me?" Hoppy confused.
When DogDay wakes up, he looks confused.
Baba candidly smiles and says, "A leader is always there for a leader who is tired."
Scared, DogDay screamed out of her arms and jumped into CatNap's arms, terrified.
"She lost the race, DogDay. So, she had to carry you," said Kickin.
"Hey, I think I see the welcome sign," said PickyPiggy.
"Yeah! I hope to have something sweet to welcome us," Maggie cheered.
The Smiling Critters and the Nightmare Critters see a sign of Bron's statue.
"Welcome to Dino Plateau, where the reptile giants play and roam. Hahaha, it rhymes," said CraftyCorn.
But when both Critter Crews entered it, they saw no dinosaur.
"Lamest welcome ever," Simon commented.
"This isn't right. Where is everybody?" said DogDay, walking out of CatNap's arms.
"Having a Sleep Day?" CatNap joked.
"Pick up Trash Day?" Touille suggested.
Everyone looked at him, confused, to which he responded, "What? The trash can takes all day to pick up."
"Too quiet for a place filled with giant reptiles. Maybe there's a big event going on?" said Baba.
"There's only one way to find out. I'm picking up some crying," Hoppy said, holding her ears.
"It sounds like the dinosaurs are in trouble. Alright, Critters. It's time to help out," said DogDay.
"Why should my group and I join in?" Rabie Baby complained.
"Because you decided to follow us, you're stuck doing what we do. Now let's get going," said CatNap.
"Death will come upon us. Hahahahahahahaha," Baba sheep creepy laughed.
Everyone looked at her concern before they continued through the Dino Plateau, but the exact ominous figure was watching them. But then they tapped their fingers on their teeth to make it sound like eerie Jaws music.
"You're mine, Smiling Freaks," they said before continue following.
