Chapter 59 The Show Must Go On!

At the red fountain many students from different schools was there, Brandon was hanging out with a few girls.
"Of course I'll win the secret chalice tonight! But only if I get a kiss for good luck!"
But then someone grabs his hear and drags him away. "Ow!"
It was Ibuki who was frowning. "Orokana on'natarashi."
Sky and Riven saw that and Sky said: "I knew it."
"Like seriously." Riven said.
Reiji was nearby and he wonders about Musa.
"She's been nervous about the concert, it's a big moment for her." He said.
She told him how her mother loved doing music too so she's nervous.
"I better go check on her." He goes off back to Alfea.
He got what he wanted to do here.
At Alfea
Layla is showing off her dance moves in front of Musa, Piff, Glim, Tune, and Francis. She does poses and winks.
Reiji came inside. "Well, having fun."
"Yeah, i've been showing them some of my moves." Layla said.
"You've been doing well." He gives a thumbs up and she smiles.
"Thanks Reiji." She said.
At Auditorium
They went there with Stella, Layla and Reiji there watching her on the seats.
"I practiced day and night for the concert but not everything was going to go smoothly." Musa said.
"You'll do great Musa." Reiji said.
She smiles and practices some more for a bit.
"Bravo!" Layla cheers.
"Brilliant! The twenty-third time in a row. Now let's break for a snack. We all need refueling." Stella said.
"Not yet. Hand me the sax, I just want to go over it once more." Musa said.
Stella throws the saxophone to Musa surprising her then she sticks out her tongue.
"Stella." Reiji crosses his arms.
"Are you nuts?! This saxophone costs a fortune!" Musa said.
"Musa, look who's here." Saladin came with Faragonda.
"Daddy!" She saw her father.
Musa runs up to Ho-Boe and hugs him.
"Oh Musa, my little girl." He said.
Reiji stares at him. "Oh no, it's her father."
Good thing Mirta is taking care of Iliya now or he would be in some trouble.
"Faragonda invited me here. She said my girl is up to great things. But I thought I'd find you studying here at Alfea." Ho-Boe said.
" A great concert will be given at the end of the annual tournament. And since Musa is seriously considering Becoming a professional singer, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity." Frangonda said.
"I appreciate that, but I didn't think you were gonna come daddy." Musa said.
He then turns away.
"Dad? What's wrong?" Musa asked.
"Musa, you're still thinking of becoming a singer." He said.
"Yes, I wanna do it. For me and mom." Musa said.
"Musa we have things to discuss and in private please." Ho-Boe said.
They leave and Reiji frowns since things will not go well, he then sneaks foward to see where they will be, Layla does the same.
The two of them were watching Musa and her father behind a tree.
"Believe you me, young lady. This will be your first and last concert." He said.
Reiji gasped hearing that.
"What?! How can you say that? Music was your life!" Musa said.
"I'm talking about your life. Where do you think all that dancing will get you when you're 30 or 40 years old? How will you support a family?" Ho-Boe said.
"I want to be a singer, not a dancer, okay?" Musa said.
"And that's exactly what I cannot let happen. Do you think I enjoy arguing with you?" Ho-Boe said.
"Maybe. Why else would you be stressing yourself out like this? You like being angry?!" Musa said.
"What happened to your mother hasn't taught you much, has it?" Ho-Boe said.
"You and mom taught me to believe in my dreams and to fight for them! Ugh! How could you forget that?" Musa said.
"You shouldn't have said that Musa. You leave me no choice. I'm transferring you to another school. I'm sorry but one day, you'll understand." He leaves.
Musa cries and Reiji goes towards her with Layla and she looks at them.
"Do you want to talk to us about it?" Layla said.
She then decides to tell the story.
" My dad was a young musician who happens to see my mom's first concert. In fact, dad hadn't proposed anything At all. So he had to write the whole song in one night. The piece was nothing special but mom liked to sing it anyway. Mom and dad had a storybook romance. They were so in love. They lived and worked side by side but after a while, work became scarce and their music careers didn't pay enough. Dad wanted nothing more than to see mom fulfill her dreams."
"And that's when you came into the picture." Layla said.
"Even though they were very poor, they were very happy to have me. Dad used to say that the day I was born was the happiest of his life." Musa said.
"Then what? What happened?" Layla said.
"Mom got sick. We barely had enough money to buy food so never mind medicine. Mom died, there was nothing we could do. Dad never got over it. He didn't play a single note ever again. And I became the only thing in his life." Musa said.
"You know, I think your father is just scared if you follow a musical path, you'll end up like your mother." Layla said.
"Oh Layla, Reiji! I want to be the Fairy of Music and I don't want to lose either of you guys or my dad." She said.
"You won't." He holds her.
"That'll never happen Musa. Just give a great show and don't worry about anything else, okay?" Layla said.
"Some days are filled with joy and sunshine. Days you'll never forget." Musa said.
Ho-Boe was walking foward and he saw Iliya dancing around with Mirta watching.
"Your trying to be like Musa." Mirta chuckles.
"I want to be like Musa too." She moves her arms around.
Ho-Boe stares at her and it reminded him of Musa when she was that age, it brought a small smile to his face.
"I bet Reiji will be with you when he watches." Mirta said.
"Yay, i'll be with daddy!" She cheers.
Ho-Boe got surprised to hear that. That boy had a child.
He heard that Reiji had many girls, since he's a future king and he didn't want his daughter in some harem.
But when he saw Iliya she doesn't look like him or any of the girls he heard he has.
Did he adopt a child? He wonders.
Not many would choose to raise a child that's not they're own, even when they're that young, but Reiji chose to have the little girl in front of him, it made him think more about the young man.
Later at Auditorium
Many gathered as Musa was on stage with Codatorta.
"And now ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to invite onstage the most radiant fairy at Alfea, Stella!" He said.
Stella came and she trips making her grunt, Musa then saw Iliya wave at her with Reiji on her shoulders.
Musa smiles at her since she's happy to at least see her cheer for her.

"Yay!" Iliya said.
Reiji smiles at them, Stella makes her mic fall down making static as many held they're ears.
Ho-Boe kept watching as Brandon and Sky did a fire dance, he saw Iliya as she kept watching.
She looks at him. "Hi there."
"Oh hello little one." He said.
Reiji noticed him and frowns but didn't want to say anything now.
"What's your name?" Ho-Boe asked.
"I'm Iliya." She smiles.
"Iliya, did you come to see Musa sing?" He asked.
"Yes, she's like a mother to me." Iliya said.
He smiles at her kind words.
"Ladies and gentlemen, fairies, witches, and Specialists..." Codatorta came on stage. "It is with the greatest pride that I present to you our next performer. The real star of this evening... Please welcome Musa."
Musa came out with a guitar. "This is a song I wrote called "A Sky Without Moon and Stars"."
She starts playing her song.

Many cried with tissues being spread around and Iliya moves around dancing.

Ho-Boe has tears coming out of his eyes as he smiles at Musa, Stormy appears behind him and zaps Ho-Boe shocking her.
"Dad! Oh no!" She said.
Many saw her as she laughs.
"You all better relax or the old man will lose more of his hair. Musa, I want you and only you." Stormy said.
"Let my dad go and he's got nothing to do with this!" Musa said.
"If you love this weak, pathetic old man, come take his place. And if he moves another inch, he's gonna share your ugly fate!" Stormy said.
"Alright Stormy, you asked for it. I'll take you on. Magic Winx!" Musa then transforms.
" I think what your sonic bombs will do to these people. Do you really wanna hurt them?" Stormy said.
But then strings wraps her arms surprising her. "What?!"
"Don't you dare harm Musa." Iliya did that.
"You stupid little brat!" Stormy tries to break free.
Musa saw a chance and thinks before going to the mic. "Listen, I need each and every one of you to help me. Let's all sing together."
"You heard her, let's do it everyone!" Reiji said.
Everyone started to sing while Stormy was trying to break free from Iliya's strings.
"That's it! Don't be shy!" Reiji said.
"What's this supposed to do?!" Stormy said as she tries to break free.
"Musa is channeling the profound powers of music. That witch's evil soul will be overpowered!" Elf 1 said.
"I feel the strength of your song!" Musa said.
A ball of light appeared and Stormy saw her magic being canceled.
"Oh no! What's happening to my powers?" She said.
The ball then hits Stormy defeating her.
"Oh no! Curse you, Musa!" She was sent flying away.
"Stormy has left the building!" Musa said.
Many cheered seeing that, Musa falls to her knees changing back with a smile.
"Musa that was so cool!" Stella said.
"The magic was so strong! Do you think Stormy is..." Amore said.
"Don't worry, the magic of a love song has never hurt anybody. You'll see. We'll hear from Stormy yet." Musa said.
Reiji goes to check on Ho-Boe. "Are you okay sir?"
He smiles as he let's Reiji help him up. "Thanks, Reiji. I was wrong about you."
Ho-Boe looks at Iliya and rubs her head making her chuckle.
"Dad, Reiji." Musa smiles.
They saved the day and Ho-Boe decide to let Musa follow her dreams.
Note: Here's The Show Must Go On, Ho-Boe saw how good Reiji is thanks to Iliya since he's raising a child seeing how he's responsible and a good hearted person.
