Late spring 854.

The sun is shining bright at the early spring morning.. the wind was blew lightly as dewdrops appeared at every step.

Durring that time in a city surrounded by walls wich were so high that they colud reach the clouds the bells rang and huge door began to open.

Then suddenly on horses as from clear sky runs out soldiers ready for one more expedition outside the walls, on their cloacks it colud be seen an emblem with one blue and one withe wing wich pepole called "Wings of the freedom".

In a nearby forest a few soldiers practiced their skills... but they didn't have emblem "wings od the freedom" sewn on their uniforms.. instead of that they had two crossed swords, these soldiers were cadets who had been training in the woods since early morning hours.

"Enemy attacks from the left!"

one of cadets said pointing to a large wooden board with shape of human, in one second two cadets cut the nape of that wooden humanoid board wich was made of fabric and sand.

After they take down few "wooden titans" and do good training, all few cadets are gathering to rest after long practice,

"Ahh, finaly rest im dead"

said the blond boy who streched out on grass

"just continue like this and you will be first in top 10."

Said red-haired boy

"well boys today is your lucky day because today will annouce those who got in top 10."

Said girl with black hair and brown eyes

"Do we have to go back right now?, i just lay down on this grass wich is softer than my bed."

the blond boy spoke again.

"Nicholas you lazy idiot, get up before you start running 100 laps!"

Exclaimed the brown - haired boy

"AUCH.. James! okay im going tough i'd like to sleep now."

said Nicholas while he was getting up from grass.

After few hours of walking, five cadets arrived in city and talked casually along the way.

Skyler was a girl with brown hair and blue eyes. She was always gentle, with fragile health and shorter than the other girls. When becoming a teeneger, she entered at the cadet corps just because her uncle, the man who cared for Skyler but didn't adore his own niece, forced her to inscribe.

While leaving to join the the cadet corps, the uncle gave her a ultimatum and, while trainig, she gave her best to join the Miltaty Police because, if she cound't enter, she would be leaved by her relatives and would be thrown on the streets.

Petra Müller is Skyler's best friend they meet each other on their second year, and after that quickly became good friends

she had black hair and brown eyes, and always was there when Skyler need help of good friend.

There were three boys in woods with girls, first was James he was boy with maners wich all girls loved but he wolud run away from them no matter what , his family send him in army because they tought thst every young men sholud have military training.

Boy with red hair was Benjamin.. by his personality he was funny and kind, he joined military to became garisson.

The blond boy was Nicholas.. by nature real prankster, because of his pranks and jokes he was punished very often he was send in army by his parents wich consider that he need little rigor.

All cadets were 15. years old and they were part of 107th cadet corps wich was on third and last year of training.

When they get back in HQ of cadet corps they had little more time until they call them up, so they decide to sit in mess hall and eat something because they skip breakfast.

"I was wondering who will choose us, i hope that i will be choosen by military police."

Said Nicholas

"I think im good enough for garissons."

said petra

"HEY PEPOLE, ABAOUT WHAT YOU TALKING ABAOUT ?!"

excalaimed one girl wich was run to the table with her twin sister.

Alice and Amber were only twin sisters in entire 107th cadet corps, because they both born with albinism everyone was nade fun of them, Skyler once protected them from bullies so they decidet stay by her side, and that is how they become friends, by nature these girls were know be annoying but Skyler love them.

"We talking abaout that for wich military regiments are good."

said Skyler

"Oh.. me and my sister were thinking that we wolud be good for scouts."

said Alice.

Nicholas was almost choked while he eat his meal, others look at him like he was fall from wall.

"You must be joking girls.. that is suicide do you remember how many their soldiers are died including ex commander when they retake wall Maria?, only nine of them is came back alive."

said Nicholas

"Well.. Nick time when cadets were choosing in wich regiment they will enter is over.. now commanders choosing cadets for their regiments, so no matter if you are in top 10 or not you can end up in survery corps anyways."

said Petra.

Nicholas then just stay quiet and continue to eat his meal

"You at least don't have worry for wich regiment you will be choosen.. i from the other side must be choosen for military police or i will end up on street, my uncle said that."

said Skyler with sad face

"Your uncle really need to see doctor."

said James

"Well we sholud go before they start without us."

said Petra

Everyone noods and left mess hall.

Few hours later all the cadets gathered in front of the stage how will hear who got in top 10.

The main word was held by instructor Keith Shadis, well known by his measures of discipline he was not so popular instructor in cadet corps, because he know give cadets 500 laps as punishment if they didn't obey orders.

"Cadets! today we are choosing top 10 between you, those who are choosen for top 10 will have big choosen by military police, but it exist big chance that you will be choosen by other regiment."

Cadets were carefull listened speech of their instructor and commander, Skyler was worried when she heard that there is high risk of not be choosen by military police even if she got in top 10, she start shivering.. it's not easy when she had uncle who never loved her.

After long time of speech the instructor addressed them.

"Alright this are cadets who are in top 10.

said commander Shadis,

after that all cadets had free time.

Nicholas was shivering in place, suddenly he felt how someone touched his sholuder.

"AHHH!!"

screamed Nicholas so loudd that half of cadets heard him, when blond boy turn araound he saw James,

"what is Nick you look like you saw ghost."

In that moment girls came

"What happened... Nick are you okay? "

Skyler asked.

"This donkey came behind me and scared me."

Said Nicholas with annoyed face while he was pointing at James who start whitstling like he didn't do anything

"Ah.. you two are behave like 5 year old kids, grow up already."

Said Petra who had enough of their fights,

"what.. i was just joking with my friend."

said James patting Nicholas who was at the edge of anger.

"Well.. dear friend do me a favour and stop scaring me like that!"

Nicholas shouted and left muttering something in angry tone.

"Hey Nick im sorry .. come on wait!!"

James yelled and run for Nicholas leaving Skyler and Petra alone.

"Well.. no matter how much time these two fight they are still our friends, soo.. Sky do you think they will choose you for military police?"

Petra asked Skyler .

"I don't know, i think they will.. but if they don't, my uncle will throw me out on street."

Skyler said with worried face

"Don't worry Sky ... if you don't get in, you still have us."

said Petra wich huged Skyler so hard.

"Thanks Petra you are best friends wich i had chance to meet."

said Skyler and hug Petra back.

"You're welcome Sky, hey.. we have free time until dinner let's go somewhere."

Petra said while she took Skyler's hand and drag her to the exit, Skyler was smiling and go togheter with Petra in their new adventure.

Later.. on dinner all cadets who are in top 10 were sat at same table and talk how they spent last days at training corps, it was laughing and tears actualy no one can't belive that they will graduate soon.

"And soo.. i fell into well and stay there until 8:00 pm."

Said Nicholas while others laughing, James even fell off his chair from so much laughing.

"Hey Sky do you remember festival in the Trost on wich we go when we were on our first year here?"

Petra said.

"Oh yeah... music was playing, pepole were dancing... and you suddenly slaped one boy who kissed you."

Amber said,

Nicholas was suddenly spat water straight in Benjamin's face.

Benjamin stand up and yelled..

"Nick you are disgusting!"

"Im sorry Ben."

Said Nicholas who was apologized 100 times, while others were laughing Amber continued...

"Hmm.. i don't remember face but i think he had blond hair and blue eyes.."

Said Amber with smile while her sister Alice coludn't get rid of day dreaming .

Skyler was in rainy mood when Amber said that, for her that boy was past ..but when Amber mentioned him Skyler was felt worse .

"I think that i will go sleep now, this day was soo long for me and i need rest."

Skyler said and leave to the exit from mess hall, others were looking at her with sad face and Amber was suddenly become silent.

That night Skyler was trying to fall asleep while toughts in her head were spining, facts that she maybe won't be choosen by military police and that she will be kicked out from her only home because of that.

She didn't stop thinking abaout that blond boy neither.. somehow she had feeling that they will meet again, she start clearing her mind and try to sleep without thinking that someone from her past will appear soon.
