WS: The Uzumaki's Path that's beyond Samsāra & dwells within Nirvana.
Summary: "It took strength, courage, determination and sacrifice to defy the many cycles of Samsāra and achieve Nirvana. Naruto and Menma did not know what was beyond it, but it was a path they created, and they accepted it wholeheartedly."
What you are about to read is a serious Naruto/DC crossover that takes place in a composite universe containing the New Earth and Prime Earth content as well as some of the DC animated movies such as the Darkseid Wars. If you have any comic suggestions regarding events, I can try to squeeze in.
Please understand that I've seen the powers that the DC characters have, and they are insane to think about. If Naruto and Menma are going to contend against these various forces, then that means they have to be powerful to match. I also want to clarify that while I have added Prime Earth content, the story leans more on New Earth where one main event is going to be my focus.

Chapter 1
...
It had been a golden fist with such monstrous strength that it left even Mongul stunned, solid knuckles plunging into his cheek and sending him tumbling back.
"Let em' get up! Let em' get up!"
Out of nowhere came two identical twin brothers, one shrouded in a golden form and the other shrouded in a light absorbing black. It seemed as though the colors were reversed. But that meant little when it had been the one covered in black that spoke, somehow egging Mongul to get and holding the golden brother back just for the warlord to stand back at his feet.
"You will suffer for this-"
Mongul was a Warzoon, a born and bred warrior born from the strongest lineage of tyrants that thrived for war and conquer. He had no reason to believe in honor. He had no reason to believe that these beings who confronted him would fight fair. Why should they? Just before it all started Mongul saw that both his children, his son and daughter were slaughtered by these two. Mongul would not mourn them. Strength knew strength and the cold bloodedness intrigued Mongul. He would of course go against any deal he would make but the offering of a place at his side would undoubtedly tempt anyone who could garner his respect in some way.
But for all Mongul's ego he failed to understand that the situation he found himself wasn't like that of his hated rival Superman. There was no sense of honor or restraint. These two near identical twin brothers killed off his children without a second thought and made their way to him where the slaves and guards that were mostly innocent in serving their master were killed off without any thought. Once they reached him, Mongul was mid-sentence to offer a deal with them, but the golden twin brother crossed that distance and punched him across the face.
Mongul knew they were strong, but he hadn't anticipated how strong.
What had interrupted Mongul midsentence was a glowing blade of reddish-pink energy strong enough to pierce through his flesh. It had missed his heart. Mongul knew they missed intentionally to drag out the fight even while he was crippled. Truly. They were a ruthless pair that almost fit the nature of a Warzoon.
Shink!
Menma Uzumaki had used a technique called Furious Smelting which created weapons made out of reddish-pink chakra and could be shaped into any shape of the user's thought. It had been a sword Menma used to telekinetically control and stab Mongul in the back and then Menma summoned a Kanabō after.
Once Menma saw his twin brother kick the warlord towards his direction, Menma swung with just as much strength as his brother and swatted the back of Mongul's head. The helmet Mongul sported shattered, taking some of the damage but the rest still collided against the alien's skull.
The Warzoon would have broken right through the floor if it hadn't been for Naruto Uzumaki jumping in just before that happened and delivered a ferocious uppercut. Mongul felt his teeth rattle and blood fill his mouth. Naruto blitzed to Mongul's back, sending another heel kick that threw him back into his twin brother's way.
Menma delivered a swing to Mongul's side with the Kanabō, cracking the brute's ribs which made him double over, coughing out blood. Menma followed up with a jumping knee that was right on the lower jaw and this time cracking the Warzoon's teeth. The bastard was taller than them but meant little when it had been Naruto who struck a leg strike to the back of Mongul's knee and caused him to fall down on one knee.
It was a thrashing after. Mongul was punched across the other side of his face, lurching him to one side in the direction of one twin who gave a heel kick to the temple, lurching him to the direction of other twin and he gave a knee to Mongul's other side and cracked another set of ribs.
Back and forth it went, punches, kicks, knees, swings from the club, it went on without any real end.
"Fight back!"
"Fight back!"
The twins had said through their assault.
Naruto and Menma boxed the warlord between them, not letting him get any space to move or enough to breathe when each punch would have shattered planets.
Some of Mongul's teeth flew out. Mongul's left eye burst from the strain. A once proud face worn belonging to a tyrant chipped away into a swollen and bloody mess.
Naruto socked Mongul across the mouth, breaking his nose.
The style from the gold twin would change, this time plunging his hands into the Warzoon's body like a knife but not puncturing through. Instead, Mongul felt his organs quake underneath his dense flesh. Mongul felt a few of his organs suddenly burst from inside, forcing him to cough out more blood.
Mongul's rage peaked under the disgrace he found himself in and roared, standing on both legs and managed to back hand the gold twin. It did boost the Warzoon's ego but the small victory was short lived when arms wrapped around Mongul's waist from behind and with a great heave was lifted backwards where head and neck burried into the floor beneath.
The weight and force cracked the floor and both Mongul and the black themed twin broke right through the ground.
Debris filled Mongul's lungs and covered his wounds. The wound on Mongul's chest tore open just a little bit more.
Mongul's head and neck were sore. Before he had time to pull himself back up, the second twin managed to come back into the fight and jump from the upper floor and dive down with both feet slamming into Mongul's stomach. The air was forced out of his lungs and all of his ribs cracked, instantly splashing blood against the back of Mongul's mouth.
And again, Mongul was shot through the floor a second time.
Coughing blood and debris, Mongul shook with rage knowing this fight was becoming less and less about fighting and more along enduring and trying to survive this encounter. It was a wound on his pride, but it was quickly becoming apparent that perhaps, Mongul needed to retreat.
"Do you honestly think we're going to let you go?"
It was the gold twin who wrapped the whole length of his arm around Mongul's neck, giving a choke hold.
Mongul refused to take this standing any long and was quick on his feet, pushing himself back and slamming the gold twin against the wall behind him. The twin held firm. Mongul continued, thrashing, rolling, slamming into the walls and scratching at the golden skin. But the twin held tighter and tighter. It would have continued further for Mongul if it hadn't been for the gold twin plunging the length of his free arm right into the hole in Mongul's chest.
Mongul gritted his teeth, screaming through his teeth.
"Menma!" Naruto hollered.
Before the tyrant could even had had a chance to pry himself free through the choke hold, it had been the Menma who chose to forgo his club and summon an axe. The axe was a single bladed wedge the size of Mongul's torso and a long narrow handle. Menma understood his brother's thoughts the moment he grabbed a hold of Mongul's arm and without hesitating was able to chop Mongul's arm right off.
"Gaahh!" Mongul screamed, feeling the axe cleave right through his arm.
Rolling himself back, Naruto saw Menma summon chains from his Furious Smelting and wrap them around Mongul's throat before he hurled him through the nearby window. Both chains and axe shattered like glass when Menma was done using them for the moment but maintained a glowing ring floating behind his back made from the same reddish-pink chakra as the weapons he created.
It would be a long descent down considering where they fought was a room placed on a spire so high it reached towards the planet's atmosphere.
Together, Naruto and Menma peered through the shattered window.
Naruto hummed with Menma staring blankly towards the bottom.
"Menma, are we bad people?" Naruto asked out of the blue.
"Huh?" Menma made a face, not understand why his twin would ask such a question. "No. Why do you ask?"
Naruto who looked uncertain for the moment, scratched the back of his head and responded. "It's just that we killed a lot of people on Warworld and some of them were innocent."
"We didn't kill them, Mongul did. He's brainwashed these people into believing the same way he does that they can't help themselves. And if they see how powerful we are, they'll obey until we can fix it. But I don't believe the other Warzoons will agree." Menma mentioned, acknowledging the warrior culture Mongul's people were. It would be impossible to turn them over to their side. Though with what they have to say might tip them in their favor.
"What about the others living in Warworld?" Naruto asked. He could sense the billions of lives hidden within the planet sized structure.
"Some have potential - I can sense an entire population - at least ten-thousand - with untapped power." Menma acknowledged.
Naruto was left to hum and peered a little further down. "I think he hit the ground?" Naruto guessed.
"I'm on it." Menma said, raising his hand and using his Furious Smelting to create eight stakes and shot them down towards Mongul. The stakes flew like rays of light and struck with perfect precision. Together the Uzumaki twins jumped in a freefall.
They'd let gravity do most of the work until the crashed onto the ground, creating tremors so powerful that it left the neighboring buildings to shake.
What Menma had done was create eight glowing stakes, two piercing Mongul's shoulders, two piercing his abdomen, two individual stakes piercing the upper and lower arm, and another set piercing Mongul's legs.
Mongul seemed to struggle, coughing out more blood now that his wounds had become too severe to ignore.
The twins doubted they'd know what was on the tyrant's mind. And to be frank, they did not care.
"So, should you kill him, or should I kill him?" Naruto asked.
"You." Menma stated, summoning another axe and giving it to his twin brother to use. "The cameras are still on and all the people on Warworld are seeing us. You have to be the one to kill him."
Taking the glowing axe and feeling the power flowing through it, Naruto nodded and neared Mongul.
Seeing to understand now that this was going to be the end of him, Mongul looked at the approaching gold twin. He glared. Whether out of pride or refusal to beg, Mongul carried his pride even in death.
"Good-bye, Mongul. You will not be missed." Naruto told the space tyrant and did an overhead swing of the axe and without another word chopped Mongul's head clean from his body. And through a cold boldness, Naruto grabbed the space tyrant's head - nails digging into the sickly yellow skin and raised it up for the cameras to see that the great and terrible Mongul was truly dead.
It would take some time until the next part of their planning would take effect. Warworld was a planet sized battle station full of different sentient life that had been born or enslaved since Mongul's time and the time of his ancestors. With Mongul dead and much of his children, Naruto knew that it would be some time before the next step in their plan would take effect. Tossing Mongul's head aside, Naruto looked back to see Menma looking back at him. He was smiling faintly but nodded in approval. The axe shattered and pretty soon Menma disappeared in a puff of smoke.
It was up to Naruto to deal with the rest of Warworld.
As for Menma, he was somewhere on the other side of the universe - a backwater world known as Earth.
...
I mentioned before that this combines the New Earth and Prime Earth together as well as adding the events from the theatrical movies based on the New 52. Why did I go this route? Naruto is paired with Maxima, and he will have some misadventures with her in the future somewhere in space while Menma will be dealing with Earth and its problems until Naruto will meet Menma on Earth.
I feel that what I wrote wasn't perfect, but I felt this was the perfect way in introducing Naruto and Menma as twin brothers and it does raise a good question on how Menma will handle life on Earth?
Please review and no flames, reviews will definitely help!
