Voice One:
"We gather here, unseen and unheard, because there are matters that weigh heavily upon us. But be warned — each word uttered here is an arrow drawn against our lives. If discovered, there will be no mercy for those who question the will of the Prophets."

Voice Two:
"The darkness has ears, and the walls are thin. Even here, in this hidden chamber, we are not beyond their reach. But still… we have come, for there are whispers that cannot be silenced."

Voice Three:
"Whispers are but embers. In time, they will ignite a blaze that cannot be hidden. I would rather be consumed by the flame than live shrouded in lies."

{Silence}

Voice Four:
"What embers do you speak of? Is it the questioning of the Path, or the fear of where it may lead us?"

Voice One:
"The Prophets decree that the Great Journey demands purity, that the galaxy must be cleansed. But what is purity when it becomes indistinguishable from extermination? What did we purify on Khar'shan? A people, or the very essence of our morality?"

Voice Five:
"When I hear of Khar'shan, I do not think of purity — I think of the ruins. Of cities turned to molten glass. Of children's cries, pleading in a language I do not know. Tell me, how do those cries bring us closer to divinity?"

{Silence}

Voice Two:
"To speak this way is to risk much. The Prophets' gaze is unyielding, and their ears are everywhere. They preach unity, yet to them, doubt is a poison that must be rooted out, and we are the ones they will purge."

Voice One:
"If we remain silent, we are no better than the fire that razed Khar'shan and countless human worlds. But there are other matters that stir unease, matters beyond the heresy of our actions."

Voice Six:
"The ships amassing at the Unyielding Hierophant…"

{Silence}

Voice Three:
"Speak nothing of that place! The mere mention of it invites ruin."

Voice Six:
"Then do not pretend you are blind to it. We have all seen the convoys — vessels vanishing without word, entire fleets called away in secret. The Hierophant was once a bastion of strength, a symbol of our unity, but now… now it has become something else, something shrouded in a purpose we are not permitted to know."

Voice Five:
"We are the Covenant's leaders, and yet even we are kept in the dark. What do the Prophets fear so deeply that they must withhold this from their own council?"

Voice Four:
"It is not fear. It is control. The Hierophant is amassing power, consolidating forces under a veil of secrecy. But to what end? Why are we denied knowledge of this gathering storm?"

Voice Two:
"To question the purpose of the Hierophant is to risk more than our lives — it is to risk the very unity of the Covenant. If the Prophets suspect our loyalty…"

Voice One:
"Do they suspect loyalty, or do they suspect doubt? The armada being forged there… it is not for defence. It is not for salvation. It is preparation, and we are not told what for. I fear this is a blade poised to strike, and its edge is aimed at the very heart of this galaxy."

{Silence}

Voice Six:
"The humans… They say their leaders speak of survival, not of conquest. They rally their kind not to expand, but to endure. Yet we speak of annihilation, of erasing entire worlds. Where is the justice in that?"

Voice Five:
"There are those who believe the Path is flawed, that the Great Journey has become twisted. Yet we are commanded to remain silent, to obey without question, without clarity."

Voice Three:
"You misunderstand the danger. To question the Prophets is to threaten the foundation of all we have built. The Hierophant… it is not our place to know its purpose. Our duty is to serve."

Voice One:
"Is it duty when we obey blindly, without understanding what we are commanded to destroy? What lies do we uphold when we slaughter the innocent in the name of the divine?"

{Silence}

Voice Four:
"We have seen the flames of Khar'shan. We have felt the heat of those fires and heard the echoes of those cries. If the Great Journey demands that we burn away all who oppose us, all who are deemed unworthy… then what have we become?"

Voice Six:
"The armada at the Hierophant… why is its true purpose kept hidden from even us? What do the Prophets fear if we were to know the truth?"

Voice Five:
"Perhaps they fear what we would see — that this journey is not one of salvation, but of power. That their desire is not transcendence, but domination."

{Silence}

Voice Three:
"We cannot act against the Prophets. We cannot challenge them. They wield power far beyond our reach, and to defy them is to invite our own extinction."

Voice One:
"Then what is left for us? To remain silent while the Hierophant gathers its armada? To watch as more worlds are reduced to cinders, their peoples erased from existence?"

Voice Four:
"No. Silence is complicity. If we are to be condemned, let it not be for inaction. Let it not be for closing our eyes to the truth."

Voice Two:
"You are fools! The Prophets demand faith! They demand obedience! Without it, there is only chaos. The Great Journey is our purpose, and purpose demands sacrifice!"

Voice Five:
"What sacrifice is this, if it is only the innocent who pay the price? What faith is this, if it asks us to extinguish entire civilizations in its name? Is it truly the will of the divine… or the ambition of the Prophets?"

{Silence}

Voice One:
"The ships at the Hierophant… they amass for a purpose we are not told. I fear it is a purpose that may consume not only our enemies but the very soul of our Covenant. If we remain silent, we will be its executioners. And if we speak, we may be its martyrs."

Voice Six:
"What then? What path remains for those who see the darkness creeping upon us?"

Voice Four:
"The Path must be questioned. The Hierophant is gathering not for a glorious battle, but for an execution, one that may bring ruin to all we hold dear. I would rather face death for the truth than live with the blood of the innocent on my hands."

Voice Two:
"Then may the Prophets have mercy upon you, for the truth offers no sanctuary."

Voice One:
"And if we are to be condemned, let it be for choosing to see clearly, not for choosing blindness. Let us wait, let us watch, and let us act when the time is right. For if the Hierophant's purpose is revealed, and it is as dark as I fear, then we must be ready to protect what remains of our honor."

{Silence}
