Chapter 31: The Beautiful Bride

Philip's POV

I took Andrea to visit my parents at their home in Central Park South. My dad loves her more than my mom does. He comments over and over again about how beautiful she is.

"Son, she is stunning. I can see why you are in such a hurry to marry her," he said, smiling in approval.

She is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. I saw her at a birthday party and knew she would be mine. I bragged to my dad about it.

My mom takes Andrea to Kleinfeld Bridal for wedding dress shopping, while I go golfing with my dad.

I was told that they found the perfect dress, but my mom won't allow her to send me a picture. She claims it is bad luck for the groom to see the bride.

With seven more days left to find out if she is pregnant or not, I don't need any bad luck. I wonder how she would react if she knew I had Shane try to get her pregnant. Asking him to do this for me was embarrassing to say the least. But I knew the money was well spent. I was meant to be a father and I deserved a wife. Losing my family almost two years ago was the hardest thing I've gone through. I was simply replacing what I lost.

I picked Shane because I knew that he was someone Andrea would feel comfortable with. He did the job. He was the sperm donor; I would be the husband and father.

You walked into the house, waking me from my thoughts. We both made it back to my parents' house at the same time. You look so happy, and I know it was because of me.

You were so lost and depressed before I came into your life. I literally saved your life.

"Are we going to stay another night in New York?" you asked, looking at me.

"Actually, I could stay here forever. But it's about time for me to propose marriage. So we have to go to that destination next," I said, letting you know it's coming.

Of course, after picking out a wedding dress, how could you even doubt this is coming? I knew from the first moment I saw you.

"Everything is packed. I guess we should say goodbye to your parents," she says, accepting my words.

"Perfect," I said taking your hand.

"Thank you so much for having us," Andrea says hugging my mom first than my dad.

"Anytime" my dad says smiling.

"I cant wait to see you for the engagment party," my mom responds.

"I will you call you both soon," I tell the before we get the taxi that takes us to the airport.

On the plane ride to Florida, she falls asleep. She has been so tired lately and that is a symptom of pregnancy.

"Wake up sleeping beauty. Time to go the hotel," I said waking her up.

"Which hotel are we staying at?" you whisper softly.

"Drury," I said calmly. I went through your phone. Shane has texted you, and that sort of pisses me off. I deleted his messages and blocked him from your phone. You are so lucky to have me.

"Should we get some wine?" she asks as the plane lands.

"Can't risk it. Let's wait until you take another pregnancy test," I said, protective of the baby that was hopefully there.

I took her hand, and we took an Uber to the hotel. I squeezed her hand on the ride to the hotel.

"Very soon, you will see your new home," I said, kissing her cheek.

Everything will work out, I tell myself. Andrea will be pregnant, and we'll get married. The baby will be a girl.
