Chapter 34: Magic Kingdom
Andrea's POV
Today, Philip is forty-one. We have breakfast in bed, which includes chocolate milk and Mickey waffles. He has a Starbucks coffee, but I can't because I'm banned from caffeine.
I put on a gray Minnie Mouse shirt, black bike shorts, and black Converse shoes. Philip has on a gray Mickey Mouse shirt with tan cargo shorts. We ride a bus to Magic Kingdom. The park is crowded, and he has already told me no rollercoasters in case I am pregnant. He is really hoping that I am.
I suggested going to ride the Haunted Mansion first, but he insisted on seeing the castle first.
"Let's get a picture in front of the castle before there's a long line," Philip suggests. In my heart i know he is about to ask me. Everything seems so planned.
A photo pass photgrapher named Allie starts taking a few photos.
"Do one where he is giving you a kiss," she suggets.
We kiss quickly as she snap the photo.
"Turn away with your back facing him," she says, never putting down her camera. I do as I am told, and she takes a picture.
"Okay, turn back around," she says cheerfully.
I turn away and see Philip with a pale blue ring box from Tiffany's in his hand. I feel nervous knowing everyone is looking.
" I love you, Andrea Victoria. Marry me? " he says on one knee. The photographer is snapping pictures. I paused for a moment. I decided weeks ago I'd say yes, but now it's actually happening. I look into his blue-green eyes and see everyone looking at us.
""Yes, I will marry you," I said softly. Then he put the beautiful princess-cut engagement ring on my finger. I could hear people in the back cheering and it felt like we were celebrities. Imagine how embarrassing it would be if someone said "no," I thought.
We take a few more pictures in ront of the castle, and he than he leads me to the Haunted Mansion. I am so shocked; today feels like a dream come true.
We get our pictures taken with Mickey Mouse, Ariel, and Cinderella. He takes me to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, and Peter Pan's Flight. We even stop to have some Mickey bars together.
"I love you," I said looking down at my ring.
" I hope you love your engagement ring, too. It was very expensive," he brags.
""Yes, it's the ring I've always dreamed of," I answered."
After riding everything, we celebrate Philip's birthday by having lunch at Be Our Guest. Beauty and the Beast is one of our favorite movies, so I loved eating inside the Beast's castle. The restaurant is a truly unique and beautiful venue. We both had steaks with baked potatoes, and the gray stuff for dessert. We took a picture in the restaurant and sent it to his parents.
" I hate that we have to leave soon. But we will come back in December, " he promises. "I do love Disney at night, " I admitted.
We can stay another night and leave in the morning, he offers.
" I would like that. We could see the fireworks, " I said happily."We will go grab a soda and find a spot soon," he responded, taking my hand.
We decide to get some water and popcorn, then find a place to sit close to the castle.
We hold hands watching the fireworks together, and this is the best date I've been on. I look down at my ring and I can't believe how happy I am.
"Happy birthday," I whisper in his ear.
